"The location was effortless, close to everything yet calm enough to breathe after long meetings. The canals, the rhythm of bicycles, the soft sound of the city in the morning, everything seemed to move in harmony. The room was clean, warm, and simple in a way that felt grounding. After days filled with conversations and deadlines, returning to that space felt like a quiet reset. The staff were genuinely kind, always ready to help with a smile that made every interaction feel human. There is a sense of quiet care that you can feel, and it stays with you. Thank you Ibis Amsterdam for being more than a hotel. You were a pause, a reminder that even in the middle of business and movement, there is always space for stillness and heart."
"Always have enjoyed the location which is only within a ten-minute walk from the main train station of Amsterdam. Often I reserve the spa room where an enormous soak tub/jacuzzi is included. Very friendly staffs!"
"A perfect tiny sleep in place in the heart of Amsterdam. Itâs really small but clean and nice staff. Just what exactly I needed. Not sure if I got lucky but it was very quiet. Good sleep, quiet, clean, nice staff, proximity to the center, and price. All great."
"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with all amenities well maintained. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The location was excellent, making it easy to get around and explore nearby attractions. Overall, a good stay for my trip."
"Great location, basic but clean. Room has a balcony which is handy as the stairs are typical of Amsterdam. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again"
"We had a very good stay at CityHub Amsterdam Common toilets and shower facilities are very clean Friendly staff who took care of us when we had early morning arrival. Check in was very smooth They have good locker service too for luggage drop"
"Easy to arrive from Amsterdam Centraal station. A very small entrance which u may miss it. After open the entrance door, we found a long stairs to check in floor and hotel rooms. It was a bit difficult for us to move 2 big luggages to 2/F without the help of friendly and helpful reception staff. The staff was too nice to upgrade our room with balcony. However, the balcony wasnât really a workable balcony.đ€Ł There were considerate iPhone chargers near the bed. The room was Tidy, clean with modern n new decoration. The toilet bowl lid seemed not fit on toilet bowl in our room though it didnât affect its function. There were 2 times alarm sounds in the midnight of our 2nd night stay which we didnât know why but forgot to check with the staff. To conclude, it is a convenient and nice hotel."
"A wonderful hotel in everyway The room was stunning with amazing views and decor. The bed was very comfortable and decor original and the barhroom was so spacious, the biggest shower area with excellent power shower. Great details such a reading lights by each bed side and coffee machine with decaf option too anf you get free choc chip warm cookies from reception. The ferry over to the hotel from the centraal station is free to use and you get lovely views and only takes 10 min. Would highly ecommend! đđđđđ"

Great
GGuest UserWe stayed at Novotel Amsterdam City in standard twin rooms for a family holiday (6 of us), and overall it was a great experience. Mr. Oman at the reception was super friendly and gave us a warm welcome during check-in. He also helped make sure all our requests were met; connecting rooms, 2 single beds, same floor, and next to each other. Really appreciated that! The only downside was one male receptionist (Middle Eastern-looking) who didnât seem very welcoming. He was quite passive and seemed unwilling when I asked for help with temporarily storing our luggage.
GGuest UserI had an amazing stay with my partner in this hotel. :) Check-in was a breeze. All the front desk staff were so nice and lovely. One time, I ask if they have salt and pepper and they had unopened salt and pepper mills sent to the room. Room is big with plenty of amenities. Big closet storage with multiple hangers. Big mirror. Iron+ironboard. 2 hair dryers (1 in the closet drawer and 1 in bathroom). Big safe for valuables. Mini bar and coffee machine. Free bottle of water on each bedside. Bed is huge. Advertised as king sized but it is actually a super king! I had the best sleep every night as the bed was so comfortable. Had 4 huge pillows too. Big window too! The bathroom had a big bathtub, big mirror with good lighting. Will definitely stay here when we visit Amsterdam again. We also left our luggages for free when we checked out.
GGuest UserClose to the central railway station, but still a tough walking distance. Spacious room, cozy beddings, and bright lights. Amazing city and canal view facing the station and sunset. The higher floor, the better. Some furniture was worn and need to be fixed. The TV table is not well designed, and looks dangerous to kids or teenagers. Square-shaped pillows were first seen in hotels and not user friendly.
GGuest UserLocation: it's a great location because it's only a less than 10 minute walk from the Amsterdam Central station. It's so convenient. But the hostel entrance/reception is located inside a pub/restaurant. Personally I have no problem with this. I just find this interesting. There was also a security-looking guy standing at the entrance at night every day too, so it was pretty safe. Cleanliness: it was very clean. Every day someone took out the trash and cleaned the bathroom for us, which I didn't expect. They gave us a new, clean towel every day too. I really like these things about the hostel. Service: It depends on who you meet. The ladies that I talked to were all friendly and helpful. But there was a guy that was rather unhelpful and rude. I asked, âDo you have data sim cards?â He said, âNo, we don't provide for that.â (Of course I knew the hostel didn't provide sim cards for free; I was asking if the hostel *sells* sim cards.) I asked, âDo you know where I can get one? I can't get on the internet with the hostel wifi.â He said, âThere's no problem with the hostel wifi, otherwise a lot of people would be complaining about it.â (I wasn't complaining about the hostel wifi wasn't working; I was asking if he knew where I could get a sim card since I couldn't get on the internet to look for them.) Facilities: I like that there was a curtain on each bed. The bed and the room were also spacious enough. The windows were almost soundproof, isolating all the noises from the people drinking downstairs. The bathroom was also very clean. The only thing I didn't like was that there were brown stains on the blanket, which looked disgusting. There was also space for luggages (it's on the 2nd floor) if you don't want to store them in your room. There was, however, no kitchen or common areas. But the room was big enough and had a table. It was ok for me. One thing I really didn't like were the people who stayed in my room. All of them were obnoxious: wouldn't clean up after using the bathroom (hair everywhere), leaving their stuff in the bathroom/on the table so others couldn't use the space/table, kept coughing all night (meaning they were sick) and wouldn't open the windows for ventilation. I hardly had a good night's sleep because they kept coughing at night. But this wasn't the hostel's fault. It's those people's problems. All in all, I recommend staying at this hotel.
GGuest UserSolo travel from malaysia. Location wise, little bit further . Need to take ferry(free). But itâs cheap Hence, no complaint from me. Take note, need to pay for towel & tax upon check in 1 towel= 6âŹ
