"First of all, I could say that the service of the hotel is highly appreciated. The staff tries her best to treat us with kindness and full service-mind. She even upgraded my room surprisingly so I had my spacious bedroom bigger than expected. Besides, complimentary fruits already prepared before my check-in. Thanks so much for her full offer. Apart from my above booking, I also decided to book taxi+driver to pick up to Yading. Sure ! the staff helped me to look for taxi with driver as planned. And I got it finally ! However, there're some points to ask the hotel to consider and fix it as follows : - WiFi internet in my room was so slow and disconnect for many times. - Not only this above problem, but I also cannot use TV. Nevertheless, I still choose this hotel for next time in Lijiang. Overall, it was so good and sometimes make me feel homey as the staffs were all so lovely and prompt to serve you with care."

"The room is excellent and is at end of a valley, which make it very peaceful and quiet to rest. Also around 5-10mins from northeast entrance. The mattress got heater and the room and environment was very classic making them so photogenic. The host is responsive and nice to help us carry our heavy bags to the room. Definitely recommended"

"Honestly, 'The Street Where the Wind Dwells' B&B is the most comfortable and genuinely hospitable place I've ever stayed in Lijiang! The location is absolutely fantastic! It's nestled in a quiet alley right by the Old Town, just a few minutes' walk to all the lively spots, yet incredibly peaceful at night – you won't hear a peep. The rooms genuinely feel upscale! We booked the 'Stargazer Room', and through its huge glass window, you get panoramic views of the Old Town rooftops. At night, you can even see the stars – enjoying the night view while soaking in the tub was pure bliss. But the absolute highlight was the owner, Brother Ma – he's incredibly warm and genuine! The moment we arrived at the alley entrance, he jogged out from afar to help us with our luggage. As soon as we stepped inside, he offered us tea – not just out of politeness, but he genuinely chatted with us, sharing tips on authentic local restaurants and small pubs with a great vibe. Even when we came back late at night, we'd often find him in the courtyard, chatting and having tea with other guests. It truly felt like coming home to family. On our departure day, he even gave us some of his homemade cherry wine, saying, ”Come back next time for another drink, and remember the wind of Lijiang!” His words truly warmed my heart. This B&B offers a much more authentic and enjoyable experience than a typical hotel. If I ever return to Lijiang, I'll definitely be staying at 'The Street Where the Wind Dwells' again!"

"The weather in Lijiang is absolutely perfect; I never wanted to leave! It was so pleasant chatting with the owner, and I really admired their carefree and natural way of life. Lijiang is definitely a place I'll return to. Mitu Inn is newly renovated with excellent facilities. Unlike other places where the hot water was inconsistent (either too hot or too cold), Mitu Inn has constant hot water, which is a fantastic feature. Enjoying tea and conversation there was simply wonderful."

"This is our second experience staying in the Old Story Inns (OSI). Our first at Dali and second here at Lijiang. The front line employees are very approachable and service oriented. The Owner/Boss has no airs and very down-to-earth. He and his employees made our very short stay at Lijiang very memorable. Apart from the unpredictable weather, our stay in the OSI at Lijiang is, in short, two thumbs up. Keep up the good work everyone from the OSI at Lijiang! 😁"

"Our stay at this hotel was the highlight of our Yunnan trip, thanks to the incredible staff. We were warmly welcomed with afternoon snacks and genuine care. The scenery from our hotel room was spectacular! The service was truly thoughtful as well. The staff asked about our itinerary and offered excellent recommendations for local food and attractions. When they found out we were going to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Tiger Leaping Gorge, they went the extra mile and prepared a bag of snacks for us to help prevent altitude sickness. This kind of personal attention is rare and so appreciated. It's a wonderful place to stay where you will definitely feel the warmth and hospitality. We felt completely at home and would recommend it to anyone!"

"Great stay. Had a tea appreciation that came with the stay. Kids loved to play with the dogs and a pig. Owner just bought two Giant Alaskan Malamute puppies and they are supper cute! Entrance to bathroom has no door. Wish we had a cloth-curtain and some suction hooks. Family room is big. Has humidifier, fridge and bathtub. Hotel is conveniently near Zhong Yi market and Mu Fu. Also near two Lijiang wash pools outside for washing vegetables bought from the market. Do try the Dali yogurt from a nearby convenience store."

"The boss is kind and cordial! It feels like home! When we travel with our children, we choose accommodation because we like clean and comfortable accommodation! Joy fits perfectly and is really clean! Take the stairs to the observation deck! Coming down is a bar street! You can take a taxi not far away! Great location! Will stay again next time I come! Very comfortable!"

"I was in for a surprise when I realized this hotel was located in the mountain. There is a pick-up/drop-off point at the top of the hill. It takes about 3-5 minutes walk down to the hotel. The hotel manager helped us with the luggage during check-in/out. To get to the ancient town, it’s about 10 minutes walk down. Along the way you will pass by other beautiful sceneries before arriving at a side street of the bar street in the ancient town. The rooms are a bit run down due to humidity, but it’s very spacious and comfortable. The hotel has a Very serene vibe. Very relaxing. I’m happy we stayed at this hotel, and would recommend fellow travelers (who don’t mind to hike a little) to stay here too!"

"We stayed at this guesthouse for 3 nights. Everybody here is very nice and helpful, the service was amazing! They will help you with anything (for example booking tickets, giving recommendations and carrying your luggage as they don’t have an elevator). The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a room overlooking the Jade Snow Mountain. Would highly recommend staying here!"
