The existence of the ceiling of the youth hostel! I saw the pictures online and decided to book it because the bed was nice. I read a lot of reviews before booking. You guys are really tight-lipped! 1. The bed in the ladies' room is 1.2 meters! Very wide, and the mattress is also very thick! The youth hostels I stayed in abroad before were almost like letting you sleep directly on the bed board! 2. The room is very large and there are many storage spaces! The room for 12 people is not crowded at all. Everyone has an iron cabinet for suitcases, which can be locked. There are also two places on the bed for small bags and carry-on bags, and two rows of shelves for toiletries. There is a retractable large mirror at the end of the bed for makeup. There is still a lot of space around the mattress for clothes! Maybe there are more people who have considered living here for a long time, so there is more storage space! 3. The washbasin and toilet are separated into three areas, and the table is very clean, tidy and refreshing. There are also paper towels in the toilet, and it is not dirty and messy! People like me who are sensitive to smells don’t smell any strange smells. The youth hostel is doing a good job of cleaning! The water volume in the bathroom is also relatively large. 4. There is a swimming pool!!! ! No one mentioned it in so many reviews! The price of the youth hostel and the supporting facilities of the hotel! When we left the next day, we met compatriots and found out that there was a swimming pool on the second floor! I went up and lay down for more than ten minutes before checking out. It was really nice. No wonder foreigners lie down in a row all night, chatting, drinking and watching the stars! Because of this youth hostel, I will come again. It is so suitable for daze! 5. The location is okay, quiet in the bustling area. The entire Luang Prabang city is not big. There are only two lively places, the night market and the foreigner street. The location of the youth hostel is two small roads turning from the downtown area. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk there. Don’t go out without a companion at night. It’s dark. The downtown area is also depressed after 9 o’clock in the evening, and the lights on the road are dim. 6. The accommodation environment is good. There are 12 beds. During the Water Splashing Festival, there are about 8 to 10 beds. Everyone in the room is quite quiet. Washing is in the room. Everyone travels at off-peak times, so there is no queue. There is a public area at the entrance of the youth hostel. Music will be played at night. Many people chat and drink there. Some can be heard in the room. People who are sensitive to sound should wear earplugs. There are also roosters crowing in the morning. 7. The service facilities are not bad. The staff are not too enthusiastic, it's just a youth hostel. They will answer any questions, and the answers are relatively detailed. I didn't feel any discrimination as mentioned before, just normal communication. The youth hostel has some carpooling services for surrounding attractions, such as Kuang Si Waterfall, etc., which can be arranged with the hotel in advance. On the morning of the day we checked out, a tuk-tuk of people went to Kuang Si Waterfall at 10:30. 8. Most of the foreigners staying here are young people. Everyone plays together and practices language by the way. It's good!

I've been dreaming of coming to Laos ever since and finally it has come to fruition last Dec 2022 when we had the chance to visit this charming place in particular - Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage site and was the former Royal Capital of Laos. With its charming and unique blend of Laotian and French culture and an abundance of natural resources surrounding the city nothing could get better than this. Located on a peninsula between Mekong and Nam Khan river about 1000 m high, it has a cool and pleasant climate especially during the Winter months. And indeed we made the right decision by finally visiting this place. Upon checking which hotel to book there are so many options and locations to choose from - Riverside, Old Town, and Town Center. There were also plenty of affordable hotels to choose from which have Excellent reviews. Affordability is our next criteria when picking the place and luckily there is an offer that day in Agoda for Villa Mahasok which will only cost us 40 SGD per night with breakfast for a Superior room with King bed and Tub. Not to mention, this is just one of the 3 star hotels in town which offers a pool - a draw for us. So we booked it right away and lucky that we did it. As laid back and relaxing it could get Villa Mahasok is the perfect place to stay if you would like to experience a truly authentic Laotian experience. Located at the Town Center, it is 600 m away or about 10 mins walk from Luang Prabang Night Market and the Mekong River but we didn't mind walking around town because it's so charming, beautiful, relaxing and a very pleasant weather really completes the package. There is a never a spot in town where something or someone will surprise you especially for first timers like us. The town. First thing we observed upon entering the hotel lobby is to remove your footwear. There is a shoe compartment on the right side of the hotel entrance. Check-in is simple and easy, they just took my passport, scanned and off we go. The staff assisted us in carrying our bags and we passed through their idyllic open-air courtyard where the lap pool and pool sun loungers are located. There are outdoor seats and tables located at this spot as well ideal for having coffee, beer, reading and just chilling out. At the other side of the pool area there is a short stair made of red tiles which leads you to a couple of elevated rooms located out here facing the garden with a huge and lovely Lotus pond filled with Lotus, Water Lilies and lots of different plants and flower river species in a dazzling show of Green, Pink and White colours. There is also an open-air hammock with cushions for relaxing and resting on the other end of the pond. At the right side of the pond is the dining area where breakfast buffet is served. We booked a Superior Double room with Tub facing the garden from the 2nd floor. We have just spent 4 fantastic nights at Liberty Place. The owners are so so lovely and friendly, they can’t do enough for you. The rooms are lovely and spacious. We had our breakfast on the balcony outside which was nicely set out and decorated. The location is great right in the centre of Luang Prabang, near to the night markets and not far from the Mekong River. We did not use the bicycles however they are free to use and we used their laundry service which was done very quickly. They helped us with a situation one of our friends were in and helped book a tuk tuk when they were lost near the waterfalls without any transport. They went above and beyond to help get our friends back to their hostel when they had no way of getting back! We booked our train tickets to Vang Vieng through the guesthouse. Great price and extremely helpful. There were also other tickets, tours and trips that could also be booked as well. We would highly recommend Liberty Place for anyone travelling to Luang Prabang and we would certainly stay again.

After asking around in the past, I found that room rates in Luang Prabang are generally on the expensive side (compared to local prices). Although this hotel is not worth RMB 300 in China, considering the local conditions in Laos, it is considered to be in good condition, clean and tidy, with complete facilities (air conditioning). Be sure to remember your boss’s phone number or add him on WeChat! Because it is a B&B, there is no one at the front desk at night, so you have to contact the owner directly.

Had a wonderful stay here -- it's a small, family run B&B-style hotel within easy walking distance from town. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, although for a view you need to stay upstairs (downstairs rooms are a bit dark). Highlights included the friendly staff, amazing breakfast (which is included), free water (which was very helpful given the hot weather at this time of year) and efficient laundry service. They also kindly stored a bag of mine for two nights while I was out trekking on a tour. Would certainly stay again, it's a great deal for a wonderful hotel!

When our driver pulled up to the hotel by a rickety bridge over the river, we were a bit nervous as the hotel looks tiny from the outside. What we thought was the hotel was actually the lobby and the hotel is actually quite large and sprawling with buildings and bungalows scattered next to the river. The hotel has a lovely infinity pool by the river with a lounge chairs, beach towels and an affordable pool bar with snacks for sale. The rooms were spacious with large balconies. The toilet was by the front door so you had to exit the WC walk around the corner to the bathroom to wash your hands - sort of a weird set up, but did help in the morning for 2 people to get ready. This was the only hotel we stayed in with dual sinks and a long vanity so excellent for 2 travelers and a big plus! The shower was a walk in so east access. The hotel also has a restaurant where breakfast (included) is served in the morning. Unfortunately it was a buffet with limited options and the food that was supposed to be hot was always cold and unappetizing. The hotel uses tiny candles to try to keep the food warm but this method does not work at all. The hotel no longer has a shuttle to town which is a negative as you need to walk across a scary rickety bridge to get to town. The hotel does not have a gym which is a requirement, in my opinion, if you want to be a 5 star resort. My only other comment to management is to find a few better English speaking employees as we had difficulty communicating with staff. Yes we know we are in Laos and should learn to speak their language but I feel when you cater to tourists you need a few people in each area to speak the universal language for business. We did enjoy our stay and can recommend this hotel to others.

I'm glad that the toilet and shower are separate. The room was clean and I liked the calming design with plenty of natural wood. The location is less than 5 minutes walk from the night market and about 100 meters from the Mekong River. It is located in a very convenient location in the center of the tourist area. The front desk staff was also very nice! I would like to take care of you again.

We spent 3 nights in this small hotel. The rooms are correct, clean but very spacious. The staff is very nice and despite the language barrier, try to satisfy us as best as possible. We have to order the evening if we want eggs. Otherwise we are a group of 12 people, the only on the hotel, and a certain lack of organisation despite the good will of the hotel. A quiet cozy hotel near Mekonga and the city center. Officials speak good English if you have questions - boldly write them to the mail, they will answer. Cleaning was every day, towels were changed constantly, which is not in every hotel. The view from the window as such was not, but we did not sit in the hotel ourselves. A confident wi-fi signal. They provide booking services for tours, taxis, washing, etc. Any question - and the guys will give a maximum to help. At the bottom, on the respiratory, there is a free tea\coffee\cooler with water. There are also tables where you can just sit in silence. There is everything you need in the room, even the refrigerator. I definitely recommend it!

It is along the Mekong River. The room does not have a river view, but the breakfast venue is on the terrace with a river view. The night market is less than 10 minutes walk away. A short walk to Wat Xieng Thong. There are nice cafes nearby.
