It was definitely the highlight of our trip. The hotel boasts an excellent location; it's just a short walk from the hotel directly to the mudflats. This saved us from long drives and the hassle of commuting back and forth, making it especially convenient for families with children. The hotel thoughtfully informs guests about the mudflat exploring assembly times based on the tidal schedule and arranges for professional local guides to lead the way. Our guide was very familiar with the entire sea area and extremely experienced. Before setting off, they patiently explained safety precautions for the mudflats, taught us how to identify tidal risks, and shared fascinating facts about various small marine creatures. They showed us how to find crabs, clams, and snails, and even demonstrated digging techniques hands-on. They were both professional and patient. The hotel also kindly provided a complete set of mudflat exploring tools, including small buckets, shovels, and gloves. This meant we didn't have to purchase and carry them ourselves, lightening our luggage burden for the trip. The mudflat ecosystem was fantastic, and the children were thrilled, following the guide to search for small creatures hidden in the sand. They were incredibly excited when they caught small crabs and shells, fully immersed in the joy of the sea. The entire mudflat exploring process was safe and well-organized. The guide supervised us throughout, constantly paying attention to the safety of both adults and children, so we didn't have to worry about the tide coming in. After the activity, returning to the hotel, we could easily rinse off the mud and sand, which was very convenient. Beyond the fantastic mudflat exploring program, the hotel itself maintained high standards. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the service was attentive, and there was a rich breakfast spread. Coupled with child-friendly amenities like the pet park, it's a one-stop solution for a relaxing holiday. We didn't have to blindly research tides or find mudflats ourselves; the hotel took care of everything. A special shout-out to our butler, Tianzhu, who was warm, generous, and organized everything perfectly, making our stay worry-free and reassuring."

"The Crowne Plaza BEIHAI SILVER BEACH by IHG boasts a fantastic beachfront location with excellent views from the window. Guests staying here receive a complimentary 'Great Nation's Heavy Duty Equipment' experience voucher, which is quite interesting. During the day, it's very sunny, so you can enjoy playing table tennis or billiards at the hotel. In the evening, a swim in the sea is a wonderful experience. The hotel's breakfast is quite good, and the afternoon tea is also exquisite. The only drawback is the occasional noise from the bar at night, which usually stops around 10 PM. Overall, I slept quite well."

During peak seasons like holidays and weekends, it's advisable to plan ahead as prices will be more reasonable; last-minute bookings tend to be more expensive and subject to price fluctuations. ✨Environment: The hotel is right by Silver Beach, with a private walkway directly to the sand and convenient foot-washing stations at the entrance. The landscaping creates a wonderful seaside ambiance, and the outdoor pool faces the ocean directly. Our room on the 15th floor to the east offered expansive balcony views, though it could be quite windy by the sea. 🧼Hygiene: The hotel generally maintains Marriott's high standards. Housekeeping was meticulous, the bedding was clean and fluffy, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. Cleaning in the public pools and lounge areas was prompt. 🛎️Service: Most staff members were proactive and polite, with quick responses from concierge and front desk. Check-in on Friday evening at 5 PM was a bit slow, taking about an hour, but check-out was efficient. The breakfast selection was standard, and the dining environment was decent. 🛏️Facilities: The hotel is relatively new, with excellent quality hardware. The rooms are well-equipped, and the indoor and outdoor pools, 24-hour gym, and kids' club make it perfect for vacations and families. 🚗Transportation: Located in the heart of Silver Beach, the back entrance provides very convenient access to the beach. It's a short drive to Qiaogang and the International Passenger Port for trips to Weizhou Island. Getting to the high-speed rail station or Fucheng Airport takes about 20-30 minutes. Taxis are easily available right outside the hotel. Overall, it's a hassle-free and consistently high-quality choice for a Silver Beach vacation, ideal for travelers who want to relax and enjoy sea views right outside their door. I recommend booking in advance for better prices, as last-minute bookings are pricier and prone to fluctuations. It's worth comparing prices across different platforms."

Guests benefit from a dedicated butler team, ensuring prompt and efficient service. A golf shuttle service is also available for convenient transportation. The breakfast offers a European-style selection with exceptionally fresh ingredients and made-to-order main courses, demonstrating thoughtful preparation. The room layout is well-designed, featuring an effective separation between the living room and master bedroom. Excellent soundproofing at night ensures activities in the living room don't disturb the master bedroom, guaranteeing a peaceful sleep. The overall aesthetic is truly captivating, with both the facilities and service being top-notch. It's perfect for both leisure getaways and family trips. A truly comfortable beachfront stay, highly recommended."

"Objective review: I. Hygiene: Meets expectations, 4.5/5. II. Environment: Exceeded expectations – the sea view and sunset were beautiful, 5/5. III. Service: Rather poor, only 2/5. 1) Breakfast was mediocre. 2) Response to requests was extremely slow. I asked for a children's toothbrush in the morning, and when I returned in the evening, it still hadn't arrived. I requested it again, and when it finally came, the packaging for the children's toothbrush contained the exact same type as an adult's. There were no children's slippers either. 3) The worst part, by far, was the restaurant! We ordered 5 dishes at 7:30 PM at the Chinese restaurant. By 8:30 PM, only 2 dishes had arrived. We eventually gave up waiting. The restaurant staff explained, ”We have to deliver food to guest rooms as well, so the serving speed is indeed very slow.” What kind of explanation is that? I was utterly confused. The next day, we decided to try a different restaurant for lunch. We went to the hotel's Western restaurant at 1 PM and asked the waiter if the food would be served quickly. The response was, ”There are still a few orders ahead that haven't been prepared, so it might be slow.” This clearly shows a lack of preparedness for the National Day holiday. 4) Crucially, room service was also very slow! On the second night, I ordered 4 beers (just beer, no food) at 7:30 PM, and they took 45 minutes to arrive! Absolutely unbelievable. IV. Facilities: Average, 3/5. During the National Day holiday, the last 1.3 kilometers from the foot of Guantouling mountain to the hotel was under traffic control (only cars of guests staying at the two hotels on the mountain were allowed up). However, on the checkout day, we had to go to the pier at the foot of the mountain for a yacht trip. We couldn't get a taxi (drivers refused due to the short 1.3 km distance). Walking down with two families and four suitcases was not an option, so we had to store our luggage. When we returned to pick up our bags, we had no choice but to pay extra for a taxi to make a round trip. Would it have been so difficult for the hotel to arrange a shuttle?"

"The hotel's location is excellent, close to Golden Beach, and the sea-view rooms offer great value for money. The service is also good. It's a top choice for a vacation, even if you just want to relax at the hotel. There are plenty of activities available on-site, making for a very pleasant stay. My only minor gripe is that the online reviews feel a bit too contrived, which might give a slightly strange first impression."

"The hotel is pretty good, offering great value for money. The lobby and facilities have a very down-to-earth feel, and for a 30-year-old hotel, it's remarkably well-maintained. The sea view from the room is beautiful, and there's a pool and beach. The nearby old street is very close, so the location and environment are both excellent. The service is also great; Lulu at the front desk arranged a very satisfying room and gave good recommendations for local food. Highly recommended!"

"I stayed 2 nights at Shangri-La, 2 nights at a B&B, and this was the last stop, so here's my overall review. Pros: 1. Newly renovated with new facilities, all top brands, and excellent hardware. 2. Right next to Silver Beach, very close to the sea, and easy access through the back gate. 3. Great room layout with a balcony, convenient for drying clothes. Cons: 1. The slide is unsafe. My child got injured and bled after going down it once. This is a deal-breaker; basic safety wasn't ensured. Luckily, it was on the last two days, otherwise, our whole vacation would have been ruined (although they offered a kids' playground activity as compensation, I'd much rather my child be safe. I still have to face criticism back home). 2. The hotel lacks depth. The swimming pool area has young trees and gets direct sun, so it's practically unusable during the day. The staff is younger than Shangri-La's, which is a plus, but something still feels off, probably due to a lack of experience. 3. There's ongoing construction nearby, and the entrance isn't enclosed, so it's a bit noisy during the day. If I had to choose again, I'd prefer an older brand, even if the hardware isn't as good. This hotel was pricier but offered the worst experience."

"This stay exceeded my expectations. Xiao Xian at the front desk and Xiao Qiang, the concierge, were both incredibly attentive and patient. The room was clean and tidy, with good natural light and ventilation, and the soft bedding ensured a very comfortable sleep. The hotel also has an outdoor pool, a kids' playground, a gym, and a laundry room on the first floor. Plus, you can book sea-foraging activities, making the overall value for money excellent. The hotel even offers a free shuttle bus to Silver Beach Pier, which makes getting around very convenient. This hotel truly takes the stress out of travel and accommodation. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit."

The hotel also offers pier transfer services, making travel hassle-free, and the breakfast selection was extensive. The overall vacation vibe was relaxed and comfortable.
