Trip.BestNo.10 of Luxury Hotels in Hong Kong
The Murray, Hong Kong, a Niccolo Hotel, is named one of the Top 7 Instagrammable hotels in Hong Kong 2023 by Trip.com. A high-profile preservation project by British international studio for architecture and integrated design Foster + Partners, the hotel was transformed from the standalone Murray Building to the city’s luxury iconic landmark at Cotton Tree Drive in Central, just minutes away from The Peak Tram station, luxury shopping, dining and entertainment centres. This contemporary chic heritage hotel features sophisticated and spacious suites and guest rooms spanning 25 storeys, coupled with wellness facilities including a swimming pool, gym and spa, 5 destination restaurants and bars: Murray Lane, Garden Lounge, The Tai Pan, Cotton Tree Terrace and Popinjays which boasts breathtaking 270-degree views of the city, Hong Kong Park, Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens at its rooftop terrace.

"Services and amenities are great. Only two negative points I had which will prevent me from ever going back there: they used the email address I provided to subscribe me to their marketing emails despite explicitly asking not to and filling the form to avoid these emails as well. I am now receiving few emails a day and unable to unsubscribe. I had to create a specific rule for GHA Discovery emails to go straight to the bin, but they also subscribed me to third party marketing… The second point, I purchased a food credit when I checked in, during the whole stay the staff won’t answer how much of that was used, only on check out they’d let you know if you spent more to pay the balance."

The hotel has an elegant and meticulously crafted design, and is considered a leader of the East defining luxury hospitality. Heralding elements of personalisation, the rooms accent simplicity and elegance with an aesthetic that melds the distinctive design touches and high-tech extras present in today’s luxury excursions. Extensive facilities include a 12,000-square-foot Peninsula Spa, eight award-winning restaurants and bars, a Roman-style swimming pool, and a Shopping Arcade consisting of international and local luxury brands. The Peninsula Hong Kong offers luxury transportation options, from a fleet of fourteen Rolls-Royce limousines to a customized helicopter, providing the ultimate in speed and style for our guests.

"Living up the legend and an iconic Historical Luxury that could endure International Standards, from the hardware maintenance to the overall ambiance and interactions with the staff to all little details. Amenities from all Narumi to silver wear to International TV channels etc. The hotel staff was well-trained in the Hong Kong style of hospitality, being efficient and eager to resolve any guest issues promptly with clear communication. I have always wanted to experience the Peninsula’s hospitality, and I am glad I finally had the opportunity. For seasoned travelers, this is definitely the Choice! This isn’t for the casual traveler who measures their adventures by price tags rather than the rich tapestry of experiences that come from authentic details.and the cost of this level of hospitality. Pre arrivale: Even though I booked through Ctrip, I would prefer if the room setup included more English options instead of being entirely in Chinese. I hope this can be addressed for future stays. Thank you! Sorry I didn't take many photos 😅"

"Had a couple days stay at these apartments. A few thing that I may say for those looking to know wether it is worth it or not 1. Location - is great, a few minutes walk to the Tsim Sha Tsui metro stations, ferry, 24 hour 7-eleven etc. 2. Room with a balcony is a must have - you’re basically paying for you personal spot with a harbor view which is fantastic 3. Rooms have everything you need and are spacious. We had a washing and drying machine, fridge, stove. Nothing to add here 4. Rooms filling is great 5. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly from reception to the pool and restaurant. 5* service here 6. The connecting floor and restaurant area are just stunning. Feels like you’re walking inside someone luxury apartment - big chess for children, other table games, view spots to chill I front of the great view, various art installations. It’s a great place to be What I can not understand is how in that wonderful place it can be such a mediocre kitchen. I’m not particularly picky on the food, conbini foods and Don Quijote fried chicken are fine for me, but that was something unexpected. I would highly suggest changing the kitchen to something more appropriate to the overall level of the apartment. Hong Kong has a billion fantastic kitchen options but that was around European 3* old hotel experience, unfortunately. It just didn’t taste anyhow, nothing. The buns were not fresh, the salad was not fresh, eggs were not done correctly, though deserts were fine. Anyway, hope this helps somebody"

"I wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Leo, K and reservation team for their incredible support during our stay. This day is truly significant for my fiancé and me as we are preparing to register our marriage at Red Cotton Tree Road. Despite the whirlwind of organizing photographers, videographers, floral arrangements, and managing guest visits, the Upper House team’s exceptional hospitality made all the difference. We truly couldn’t have done it without their unwavering support. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Upper House, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you once again for everything!"
