Castel Brunello

We stayed at Castel Brunello for two nights before moving onto what turned out to be our dream location in Tuscany. What we loved about Castel Brunello - its walkability to a small town where we had an absolutely delicious meal on our first night. The pool. And according to my husband - the breakfast. The rooms were fairly standard. I think the spaces are well designed (we were in a 3-bedroom with two balconies), but the furnishings in the living space could be updated. I'd also note that it is fairly far from most Tuscan towns excepting Montalinco (which we loved), so if you are really looking to explore Tuscany and need a base, I'd choose somewhere a bit more central.

We booked Castel Brunello cause we wanted the full Tuscany experience + a lot of rest. We got all that and more! The Castel is beautiful and separated from all the noise of normal life, the service is impeccable, they were all extremely friendly and the owner even got up a lot earlier to make us breakfast and so that we would be able to check out comfortably! Other than that if you want to go out and eat, Montalcino is a very sweet town with delicious food and good wine! Definitely would visit again! Thank you for making our stay so pleasant!

We’ve spent 6 days at Castel Brunello with our baby and had a great time there. The whole building is in an excellent condition, extremely clean and has a stunning location with a great view. The host Erna is very friendly, also with the baby, and provides many good recommendations and helps with reservations for wine tastings, restaurant etc. The breakfast provides everything needed for a great start into the day. The apartments are spacious, the beds are comfortable and overall it’s very nicely furnished with everything you may need (even a washing machine). Within a few minutes walk you can find 2 very food restaurants serving typically Tuscan food and within a short car ride you can reach Montalcino where you have plenty of places to eat. We highly recommend to stay at this place no matter if you are a couple or a family - you will not regret it and we will for sure come back!

Lovely place that combines the.l Nest of a Bed and Breakfast with a boutique hotel and and family friendly apartments. Situated at the base of a small village and overlooking some vineyards from lounge s hairs and a large pool, this is a very special place. Run by a family from the Italian Alp, the service is very friendly and personable, and conveys a classic sense of hospitality. Whether you want a one, two, or three bedroom apartment, this is the place located in the heart of south central Tuscany, right next to Montelchino, one of the. Finelli wine capital hubs.

Nothing but accolades for this charming, picture-perfect place. Nestled among the hilltops of the Montalcino region, it offers stunning views of the surrounding vineyards and villages. Erna, our host, spoke excellent English and was tremendously helpful with recommendations, and restaurant and winery tour reservations. Definitely kid-friendly with daily breakfast on site, a beautiful pool, lush gardens, kitchenettes, and in-apartment laundry. It’s a short walk to the town center that features a couple of excellent restaurants. Also, an easy drive to the town of Montalcino and Siena. This was definitely a peaceful respite during our busy schedule. Castel Brunello is going on my list of “must-return” places!

The views hit you upon arriving and the beautiful building of Castel Brunello. Anna was our gracious host and gave us a great welcome. The apartments were perfect for our one night stay. Breakfast offered the best croissant on our trip. The pool with plenty of sunbeds was perfect!

This is an amazing place with a wonderful host and incredible views. Book here without any hesitation. I found it to be a value as well. The property is only about a decade old, but appears to be hundreds of years old - new construction that was done very well and respectful to the surroundings. We had a great apartment for two, with laundry and well stocked with coffee. Erna arranged a dinner in the village, as well as a fantastic wine tasting. The village has two great restaurants as well as a small grocery. The hill town of Montalcino is about a 10 to 15 minute drive, I would gladly stay here again, and plan to.

What an amazing property! And the best of both worlds! The hotel itself is fairly new but the owner/architect/builder has done a fantastic job of honoring their surroundings, making it seem as if you are in a 150-year-old converted estate. Rooms have all the modern conveniences but retain the charm of a much older Italian property. The property itself is beautiful, with views of vines as you enjoy coffee/aperitivo by the pool. Our room had a large kitchen, 3 BRs + twin loft, 3 full baths, washing machine (no dryer), and AC. The breakfast was plentiful and included delicious baked goods and made to order eggs/coffee. Both restaurants in town are an easy drive or short walk and are not to be missed. Be sure and make reservations at Trattoria il Pozzo as it is extremely popular with locals and visitors alike. Collemattoni is across the street and worth a visit for a tasting. The owner, Erna, was lovely, welcoming, had great suggestions, and made reservations when needed. Do not hesitate to book here if you are planning to spend a few days exploring the Tuscan countryside.

We stayed at Castel Brunello for 2 nights in September. We should have stayed for at least a week! The village has 2 great restaurants within walking distance. The villa was perfec, very clean, comfortable and has everything you need. The breakfast was amazing. Fresh made eggs, pastries, and so much more. Erna and her daughter were our hosts and they were so attentive and helpful. We would love to go back!
