Constance Moofushi

From the moment the sea plane landed we were made to feel very special. It was like we were being welcomed to paradise by people who loved being there. Alison greeted us and showed us around the island and to our room. We had booked a beachfront villa and initially had reservations as we are sun worshipers and we got no sun in the garden. However we loved the room! It was rustic and very spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the softest best pillows we’ve ever slept on ( I want some for home!)The bathroom had two sinks a separate toilet and a wonderful outdoor shower. Our housekeeper Nazeeh was incredible. He checked with us on the first night for any special requirements,including customizing the mini bar to the items we wanted each day. He kept the villa inside and out spotless. The decoration he made on the bed for my husbands birthday was simply stunning. The island is stunning and everywhere so clean and tidy. The house reefs were great for novice snorkels. BD and Tiger looked after us at the water sports hut and taught us to paddle board. There were free excursions. We did the dolphin trip which was fabulous. We were supposed to be doing a sunset cruise but due to bad weather it had to be cancelled :-( The staff are all so friendly and helpful and always smiling. There are so many we could name as they were all brilliant! Most of them knew our names from day 1 and some of them Gopan,Nithin,Afraadh,Shaan and others knew what we liked to drink. The food was amazing. We normally don’t like buffets and prefer a la carte but the buffet here at breakfast,lunch and dinner was always great. Each night there was a different theme. Binju greeted us (such an asset to the resort) she knew where we liked to sit and always had time for a chat with us. A special mention to Priantha the head pastry chef (we don’t normally eat desserts) but the freshly made delicacies drew us in every meal time - every item we tried was delicious. If you like wine this is the place to visit. There is so much choice on the all inclusive menus. At each mealtime a sommelier comes to your table to discuss what you’re eating and then recommends a wine for you to try either by the glass or you can have a bottle in an ice bucket. You won’t be wanting/waiting for your glass to be refilled here.champagne is also included. A big thank you to Madu and his fabulous team. The island pays so much detail to ensuring all the guests are happy. We found there were numerous occasions where the resort laid on extras to make us feel special. At Aleeze restaurant Ritty was very chatty and attentive. Each time we dined there he got the chef to make an extra dish for us to try. He also ensured our moonlight dinner on the beach was special. It was my husbands birthday and we paid extra for the experience and it was so worth it. A very memorable evening. Just returned from Constance Moofushi and was over the moon with the resort and the staff who are absolutely lovely. We had an over water villa and regularly saw Manta rays swimming by. The beaches are stunning as is the food and bar areas. The gym is also very good indeed. I can honestly that this is the best holiday destination I have ever been. Absolutely stunning.

An absolutely amazing place. Our second visit and Constance Moofushi is as good as it gets. Beautiful, personal, world class and simply the best. My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon here in 2022 and it was a pleasure to return in 2024 to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment the seaplane lands and you see the smiling staff waving to you with a warm welcome, the sense of homecoming begins. We had the most fantastic time. The restaurants, the wonderful food and wine, the spa, all the activities and trips, all encompassed by the sheer beauty of the island, make this our special place in the world. But what takes this to another dimension of world class is by far, the staff. Every single person who works here cannot do enough for you. You genuinely sense the friendship, happiness and pleasure of being part of the Constance Moofushi family. We could mention so many of the team, but in particular we’d like to thank: Mevin and Manjula - wow you both have created a team that is proud to represent you. As well your dedication to us and every single guest, you have created a world class mentality for which you should be very proud. Maix - you are an absolute superstar. Your humour, your dedication and the love with which you looked after us was special. Thank you and good luck with your upcoming wedding. Dileep - you are a wonderful chef! Thank you so much for looking after us and ensuring, that as a vegetarian, you looked after me. We will always remember your beaming smile. Sam - you are a legend. The standard you set and the dedication with which you apply yourself is fantastic. Gopan - your memory is amazing. Thank you so much for the way you looked after us. You are top man. Ruwan - thank you for all that you did for us. You are brilliant at what you do. Spa Team - gracious and attentive. Relaxation at its best! Totem Bar Team - kind, funny and top service. Housekeeping Team - for looking after us and our temporary home so beautifully. We could go on and on! In our minds, you are all superstars. For anyone considering a visit to The Maldives, we highly recommend Constance Moofushi. We have visited many wonderful places in the world, staying in some fabulous places. This is our second holiday at Constance Moofushi. We absolutely love it! We really enjoy snorkelling and the house reefs do not disappoint. However, Ismail, who cleaned our room twice a day was a complete star. I also have to mention Mauro who took 4 of us out to a wonderful reef . It was truly remarkable and we were looked after superbly by Mauro and his team. Thank you to everyone at Constance Moofushi for making our stay so memorable. We hope to be back!! Sara U

We were the 3rd time at the Moofushi and it just gets better each time. All the staff has passion to make you feel at home. The house riff is great, we did see a lot of fish. And you have a great selection of different wine included in the all-inclusive package and great sommeliers to recommend you the right wine. I hope we will be back soon!

This was the 5th Maldivian island we have visited and the best we’ve been to. Beautiful island, great food, fabulous wine choice with over 100 all inclusive wines and extensive knowledge by the sommeliers to help choose. Fantastic snorkelling within a few yards of the beach. But the thing which put this resort above others was the staff. Everyone greets you and the management remember you. Particular mention to the marine biologist, Elena, who took me out to the house reef and showed me sea life I wouldn’t have seen. We are already planning our return.

A big thank you to the whole team of Moofushi ! Everything was perfect… thanks to you, we had a really nice experience ! The staff was very kind ! The rooms very clean ! The food was enjoyable ! This holiday was a very special one for our family as we were celebrating my sons 18th, my daughters 21st and my 50th. This was my second time to the island and I can not imagine going anywhere else in the Maldives now. The staff are always smiling and happy and nothing is too much for them. Mevin (GM) and Manjoola (deputy GM) have done a stellar job of making sure the Constance team at Moofushi are one of the best. We enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners in the Manta buffet restaurant. Each night there is a different theme of cuisine so you can enjoy an array of different dishes and flavours and of course, beautiful fresh fish. Thank you to Ruwan and Dilup who made the most delicious curries which is one of the highlights of the holiday for my curry loving husband and also thanks to Priyantha (head of desserts) who is like family to us and makes the most delicious desserts and ice creams (57 flavours!) and the best gluten free birthday cakes. I must give a big mention to Hishan along with his team of friends: Naja, Shamoo, Ali, Maize, Niz and Shinaz who looked after my family with a heart full of love and made our stay truly memorable. I would highly recommend booking the ‘milky way’ one night so you can dine out on a jetty in the sea under the stars with your own private BBQ. Totem bar and beach restaurant was our favourite location for lunch. It has a good menu and the location is stunning. The wagu beef burgers here were our favourite! Again, the staff here are friendly, efficient and always smiling. A big thank you to Gopan and his team for looking after us so well at lunch and in the evenings (they make great frozen margeritas btw), especially Ranjith who did a really great cocktail course on the beach and Naz (Mr smiley) who looked after us when we had our night caps on the beach under the stars before going to bed. There is also an opportunity to do wine tasting on the beach around 18.30 a couple of times a week which I highly recommend. The team of sommeliers on the island are very knowledgeable and we all had great fun. Thank you KoKo, Nithin, Bouthi and Madu, your professional manner was very much appreciated and I loved the way you got us to try different wines and expand our palettes. For those of you who love snorkelling, we really enjoyed the house reef which is just off the beach by the water villas. There are plenty of varieties of fish there and some days I really thought I was in an aquarium. I would definitely take rash vests as the sun can be extreme. I won’t bore you anymore with my ramblings but you only have to read the reviews to see how many people are repeat clients to this island. We met 2 couples, one had been 17 times and the other couple 14 times. Many more on our stay were repeaters too. So now my final words of my review: ‘’To my Moofushi family! I miss you all and I am now working hard and saving up so I can see you all again next year!’’ XXXXX

What a lovely, luxurious yet unpretentious island! I went with my husband and two sons (14 & 15) on a two-week holiday in the maldives, combining two hotels, and started out on Moofushi. We loved every single part of our holiday, starting from the way we were welcomed at the Constance airport lounge, with a refreshing towel and some nice snacks and drinks. We also very much liked the concept of 'barefoot luxury': as soon as we arrived on the island and left the seaplane, our shoes were tucked away in bags that wouldn't be reopened until we left the island again. The only time we wore flip flops, was when the jetty that led to our water villas was too hot to walk on during the day. The water villas were very nice and comfortable, with great beds. We also liked that the rooms had a Nespresso machine, which gave me the opportunity to sit on the deck early morning with a cup of coffee to see the sunrise. We had all of our meals at the buffet restaurant, we were very impressed with the food and even I, as a vegetarian, was spoiled for choice. We didn't even try the a la carte restaurant, just because we liked the buffet, with the live cooking stations, so much. The house reef is superb and we also went on two very nice snorkeling trips. On the first we had the chance to snorkel with two whale sharks and on the second we snorkeled with a bunch of manta rays. Both wonderful experiences! And then our eldest son also managed to obtain his PADI dive certification, guided by private teacher Hasan, who taught him everything he needed to know. We like to exercise, also when on holiday, so we were very pleased with the well outfitted gym, based in a charming building. There's also a nice pool on the island, but not big enough to swim laps though. The staff, who are a delight and worked like a well-oiled machine, made our holiday in paradise even better. They made us feel welcome and the atmosphere on the island is very friendly and laidback. And what's also nice: the island never feels crowded, even though it's in fact quite small. After 6 nights we moved on (with an easy 30-minute speedboat transfer) to the other Constance hotel in the Maldives: Halaveli, to spend the last 6 nights of our holiday there. Different hotel, different atmosphere, but an equally great experience. To anyone who has the chance, we would thoroughly recommend the combination of these two hotels, for the ultimate Maldives-experience!
