Maleny Tropical Retreat

Wow! I've stayed at couple's places before and there has always been an underwhelming factor.......Let's start with all that was good! 1. Parking right beside the accommodation. No lugging possessions or food along long, steep, winding paths. 2. Views forever down the valley and over the lake, especially from the verandah on two sides.. 3. Plenty of the right sized firewood as well as all the necessaries to easily start a fire. (Don't laugh, this is GOLD!!!!) 4. Really traditional Balinese fitout with raked ceilings. The place felt huge, welcoming and accommodating. The ensuite is huge with twin showers. Very romantic..... 5. Great local produce in the breakfast (Continental) hamper. 6. Welcoming, friendly hosts who responded immediately to the one small problem we had-flat batteries in the AC remote. So........plenty of space both inside and outside, class, ambiance, privacy, comfort and amenity. Yep, we will definitely return. Thanks Maleny Tropical Retreat. Cheers, Keith

Peaceful surroundings of rainforest. Clean and comfortable ammenities with spa bath and kitchenette for convenience. Kind and helpful host with good dinner suggestions. Close to Maleny and Montville coffee shops and tourist shops if you want them.

Lovely, quiet location. Beautiful room with everything you need for a relaxing stay! Staff are extremely friendly and helpful plus the hinterland views are amazing!

We stayed in nusa dua and it had beautiful views from the large balcony. Spa bath was great. Host was lovely & checked in to see if we needed anything. Unit had everything we needed & was very comfortable. Only gripe was bad TV reception & broken TV remote. We would stay again.

A very peaceful and secluded getaway. Very good continental breakfast provided and an expansive balcony to watch the storms and cows wandering by.

Great place. Has awesome view. Service was great and host able to help out. Parking easy. Free breakfast yummy. The spa inside was excellent and have all the amenities you need. Best stay in sunshine coast ever

We stayed in the new "Samur" cottage, with views that went on forever! I can honestly say that the only downside of being here was having to leave. If I could have stayed for much longer, I would have. Thank you for making our stay such a beautiful experience. The cottage is 5* Amenities 5* Cleanliness 5* Ambience 5* Breakfast is local and just in keeping with what's needed. Will definitely be back. Thank you

Lovely and quiet with tropical surroundings and friendly helpful staff.

Maleny Tropical Retreat was the perfect venue to host our girls reunion. The 2 bedroom Nusa Dua room was spacious and well equipped with a wood burning fire (well used during our early spring stay where nights were chilly) and functional kitchen (cooktop and Convection microwave oven included). Located between Melany and Montville, we had easy access to the local communities for fresh produce. Our hosts were friendly, checking in on us a few times to ensure we had all we need, and refreshing the firewood and kindling as needed.
