After several days on the road from WA what a joy it was staying at Alexander Cameron. Very spacious well appointed suite, excellent management and staff who provided great advice regarding walking distance from a great pub Royal Oak and an even better restaurant Pipers of Penola. Not to mention several well known wineries within walking distance as well. Alexander Cameron’s beds were fabulous equipped with electric blankets . A continental breakfast was also provided. Throughly recommended.

The entrance and exterior to this venue was uninspiring. However, the Superior Queen Room was superb! It was in excellent condition, clean and well equipped. The kitchenette had a sink and all washing up gear was provided. There was a good stock of tea and coffee. The complimentary biscuits were a nice touch. The shower was great. There were lounge chairs as well as a counter area with bar stools for dining. There were shelves for 2 suitcases. The free Wifi connection was good. Paper and plastic recycling was encouraged. There was a covered BBQ and outdoor eating area. Parking was easy to access. Although situated on a busy road, we heard no traffic noise. A superior room, for sure!

I am an objective evaluation. I think the hotel's service attitude is still very good. The room is not a building or a flat floor. The facilities are old, but not far from the blue lake h Russian cave. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the beach. I just stayed for one night, I think I can.

The room is not big, but the price is moderate. It has a backyard and is relatively clean.
