Very clean and pleasant hotel- reception staff said we could check in an hr early- only issue was quite a walk to marina or town both 20 mins

This is our third Chris**as at Caybeach Sun and so looking forward to booking for this Chris**as 2024. Hopefully for three weeks. It’s absolutely ideal and safe for families with young kids, it’s also ideal for couples as a base. It is what you make it. Last Chris**as/ 70th birthday I was presented with an amazing fruit basket from the hotel, such a lovely thought. Husband due to his beard was asked if he wouldn’t mind playing Santa on Chris**as Day for the kids and grownups lol, the children all thought this was magic, especially the little ones. Each one presented with a gift. I have to give this hotel 100% All the Staff work so very hard every day. You have to take any negative comments with a pinch of salt, yes, there may be a hiccup here and there but honestly the hotel and staff will go every inch to accommodate a problem. We go self catering so can’t comment on the restaurant. Lovely on site shop for essentials. Nice poolside bar with Happy Hour12-1 Outdoor pool is very clean with a policy of not allowing people to covertly grab sunbeds at the crack of dawn. 10am-6pm. Lovely indoor pool for me with a nice temperature plus (free) sauna steam room payable of 3€ payable at Reception. Adults only. YES!!!!! There is a gym, which I only looked at for the more energetic (free ) Husband and I went walking most days loads of places which are flat and lots of taxis I think a trip from town if you have bags of shopping back to hotel was 3€, we would give €5 I think the best thing also for me, is watching people arrive and looking so tense and then after a day or two you can see the Caysun Beach vibes washing over them. It really is a little bit of magic as long as you’re happy to go with the flow. It’s wonderful that everyone chats to each other and come away then with making new friends and new memories. Another plus is that all children are safe.

We booked this hotel through TUI for a week and ended up moving hotels after 2 nights. We arrived late hours and was handed our room key at reception. The staff gave off a very arrogant attitude and couldn’t have been less helpful if they tried. Got to the room and the place had not been cleaned. The beds were covered in stains, the shower head was thick with mould, the fridge paint was peeling and had seen better days, and the air con unit was either broken and hadn’t been used for months or the dust was so old it was sticking to it! We weren’t paying €6 for an air con remote to inhale months worth of dust to find out. Sockets were coming off the wall, we went to turn the lamp on and the bulb was snapped clean off and left from previous visitors. We didn’t want to use the shower but had no choice after a long day travelling. We checked the towels before using and they were the worst smelling towels ever. There was no way these had been cleaned!! We ended up using our clean T-shirt and beach towels to dry. After 15 minutes in the room, we approached reception and showed them our pictures of the room and asked for a room change to which they advised the reception was only open between certain hours, fair enough, so we expected to hear from the hotel in the morning, but we heard nothing! The funny thing is, they agreed the room conditions wasn’t acceptable but done nothing about it, even after reception opening times. We asked reception the night of arrival if any shops were open and we were laughed at. We asked if they could give change for the vending machine in reception and were told a firm no. We reported our room issues to TUI who advised they weren’t happy that the hotel were ignoring their calls! After 2 days trying to contact the hotel, TUI offered a hotel change and we moved to enjoy the remainder of our holiday. I have travelled many times, usually 3/4 stars, and never had a issue like this before. I was ready for getting the first flight home when I saw the state of the room. Please avoid at all costs or you’ll end up ill from this place. Don’t be fooled by the hotel comments that will likely appear under this review, as they had a chance to resolve the matter at the time and ignored us and TUI. Also, their comments under other negative reviews of them trying to resolve these issues are clearly a lot of rubbish.

Stayed here for 31 nights so I think my review will more accurate than someone staying 1 or 2 wks The reception staff where great not only did they give me the room we asked for They sorted out any problems straight away Andrea's he's a character I'm not sure if he's spanish or Irish The room was basic but OK I liked the mattress nice and firm wife didn't Room cleaning was not great if there was a mop and bucket we would of done the cleaning are self's As for towels we had to ask reception 5 times for clean ones as the cleaner took the used one's but didn't replace We went 3 days without a basic room clean didn't bother with TV The air con was good I've read some people moaning that you had to pay that's rubbish you put down a deposit of 12€ for remote control which is refunded Wi fi is rubbish The pool bar is expensive 3-90€ for a pint food ok but they need to sort out a ordering system as it was total chaos at times The pool areas needed a good clean as there was litter everywhere but that's down to lazy people not using the bins The pools where freezing and the sunbeds had seen better days The indoor adults pool was very good did not use the gym or saunas the jacuzzi felt slimmy on occasions The on site shop is good but we did notice that certain beers went up in price over are month stay The hotel is close to town and restaurants We enjoyed are month stay and look forward to going back next year

Stayed for a week, lovely helpful staff throughout. 15 minute walk to the bars, shops and beach, lovely and clean area with plenty going on. The hotel is good but with some little things upgraded could be so much more than a 3*. Things like, no soap in pool toilets, toilet doors need a good clean around the handle area. Knobs missing from wardrobes, catch on window not working. It's the little things that matter! There was always plenty of sunbeds available and the grounds were kept lovely and clean. The pool was always cold and the indoor pool was quite deep and same height all round, so not ideal for the none confident swimmer but nice to have the indoor option. The little shop on site was great with very reasonably priced items, there was everything you needed. The pool bar was OK, could do with a bit more on the menu and another staff member to help at busy times. It would be nice if it opened a little earlier to enable people to have a morning coffee. Overall we had a lovely stay and we would return to this hotel.

After reading the negative reviews we were abit dubious on what to expect. On Arrival we were allocated our room and to our surprise this was better than expected. The whole stay was relaxing and no room issues at all. The negatives are : The Pool Bar The drinks are good but has not enough staff and need updating . The food at the Pool Bar is Rubbish choice and selection. This would make the place if this was updated

Absolutely loved this place the little chalets was spot on staff was very friendly especially Andreas the receptionist he was very helpful will defo be back there sometime this year hopefully and the cocktails at happy hour was so nice 😀😀

Please do not read the negative views on here, just arrived back from fantastic week here with a family of 11. The reception guys could are so helpful and go above and beyond, the bar staff do an absolute amazing job. The rooms are newly renovated like a studio flat which have microwaves fridge oven hair dryer walk in shower with patio to sunbath outside. Cleaners came 3 times in one week. The only down side was how cold the pools was but the kids Neva mosned once was just us adults. We Neva seen the kids with the slides and football court they have. Overall we had a fantastic and will defo be going back again

The food is absolutely awful! We paid an extra £200 per person to have breakfast and dinner included in our package. We ate the dinner once and ended up dining out every evening as the food was disgusting. The bacon on the breakfast buffet was so off that it had gone completely grey, the fried eggs had shriveled up they had been sat there so long. We stayed for a week and during the stay did not see a single person in the restaurant eating the dinner! I have complained to the hotel directly and was told that we "enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the hotel every evening" as we were logged on there "internal register". Very strange as we ate with them once, and was never asked for our name or room number when entering the hotel. They of course are unable to provide any evidence to us! The hotel also charges an extra 12 euros for aircon, 6 euros for a TV remote, 1 euros to have your towels changed everytime, 6 euros for the safe. The only plus side of the hotel is the friendly reception staff and plenty of free sun loungers every day.
