"The room is said to be 50 or 60 square meters, but in fact it is less than 30 square meters! I stayed for 3 days and parked my rental car at the door of the hotel. It was hit by bad guys in several holes. It was done by humans! This place is too messy. Think about it before you live here. The quality of the people in this place is too poor! There are three or four small cheap hotels next to it, and there are many discos nearby."

"Good location , helpful staff and great rooftop pool.
On the quiet side of 5ta Avenida but still close to beach and restaurants.
The cafeteria / bar on the pool wasn’t operational always and there’s no restaurant available."
"We give 10 points for Thai food at Banyan Tree Cancun👍
Transportation: It is very convenient. It takes about 50 minutes to get to the hotel from the airport. A few days ago, we stayed at the Rosewood next door. Both Rosewood and Banyan Tree are in the same area, less than 10 minutes by car. Hotel pick-up is about 130 dollars.
Service: The service is very good, with 🈶️ personal butlers, golf carts for travel, and bicycles at the door.
Environment: A little old, but not bad, very original, there are woodpeckers knocking in the morning. I have met the small animal lemur countless times, and it is very cute.
We especially recommend the Thai food in the hotel. We ate it twice and felt that it was not enough. The breakfast is also good. The only thing is that it is not very convenient. You have to call a taxi to go to the supermarket. The round-trip fare to the supermarket is about 90 US dollars. Just 10 minutes away."
"I reserved a room via Trip.com for the Reef Playacar at a good price of about $168. But when I checked in with my fiancé, They told me the room was for only one person and that it would cost another $120 for her! The lady at the front desk was not very understanding at all and said she could not modify my reservation… I said we did not knew need any kind of meals included, but she did not help us at all."

"The hotel is on the beach of Carmen, the beach is super beautiful, the hotel is next to the beach, go straight out! The rooms of the hotel are not big, they are all two-story small buildings, one with four rooms, the environment is OK, but the room setting is very general, if you have high requirements for the room, it is recommended to take a look. This is the cheapest all-inclusive hotel, with two restaurants and a pool bar. In the afternoon, the swimming pool has a fitness instructor with dance exercises. The hotels along the coast are all on the same beach, so no difference. Overall, the price is okay."
"Drive according to the navigation. There is free parking on the ground floor of the hotel. The front desk service is very good and the room is large. It is very suitable for families. Only soap and shampoo conditioner are provided in the room, no shower gel. There are air conditioners and fans, the beds are comfortable and the quilts are thin. The room near the seaside is a bit tide, you can walk to the seaside, it is close to the pedestrian street of Carmen, and it is convenient for eating and shopping. Breakfast needs to be paid separately, and the price is fairly close to the people. I ate more than 20 RMB per person for three days."
"The room is large, clean, warm and comfortable, the environment is beautiful, the location is particularly convenient, go out is the Fifth Avenue Pedestrian Street, but it is quiet. The service is very good, the food quality is high, the rooftop pool has a good view, the rooftop bar eats and drinks well, the lounge chairs are comfortable, and the umbrellas are beautiful. We had enough of the sea in Cancun and chose this Hilton boutique on Carmen Beach, which was not close to the sea, but five minutes to the beach. Wall crack recommended!"

Great
GGuest UserThe hotel is new, clean, the rooms are very big, and there is a public laundry room. The front desk staff is friendly and professional. It is a cost-effective hotel. The best thing is that it is very close to Xcaret and Xplor Park, which is 8 minutes away by taxi. If I go to Cancun next time, I will definitely book it again!
RRosmeris de la CaridadThe place is convenient if you're going to Playa del Carmen for a short time, the location is perfect, close to everything and at the same time far from the noise, the Walmart next to the hotel it was a plus, it is close to the ADO but you need to check first, if you go to ADO turista it will be far away, like 15 minutes walking and if you go to the other ADO terminal if will be just a few minutes.
LLihuiI stayed here for 3 nights in June. The sea was full of weeds, probably because of the rainy season, so I couldn't go in, but there weren't too many people and I was able to relax by the pool. It's also close to Quinta Avenida, so you can enjoy a stroll around the town in between your hotel life. There are buffets, 3 dinner restaurants, a cafe and a pool bar, and activities such as morning yoga and shows, so I had a lot to enjoy. I booked an ocean view room, but I could barely see the sea, so if you want to see the sea from your room, it might be better to book a seafront room.
YYUFANGHotel location is very good, shopping street is close by, five minutes walk to the beach, it can be said to be quiet in the middle of trouble, has been recommended to friends, the partition of the balcony is best frosted isolation
If the requirements for western food are not so high, this buffet breakfast is still okay. The waiter is very nice. I will take the initiative to ask you for drinks and coffee, and I will take it for you. Of course, I can also take it myself. I love western breakfast so it feels very much satisfaction
GGuest UserGreat Stay at Riu Playacar
We enjoyed our stay at this clean, well-organized resort with spacious, quiet rooms (ours had no balcony, but it was fine). The minibar was a nice touch, and the bathroom was spotless.
Highlights:
✔ Food variety – Multiple à-la-carte restaurants (dinner reservations not needed) and buffets with good lunch/breakfast options.
✔beach – Plenty of sunbeds but no umberalla so bring your sunscreen, though pools get crowded les sunbeds.
✔ Access to sister hotels – Party lovers can visit Riu Tequila’s club nearby.
✔ Convenient location – Mini-market across the street, and Playa del Carmen (5th Ave) is just a 150-peso taxi ride away.
✔ Easy airport transfer – ADO bus (250 pesos/person, 45-min ride + 5-min taxi 150 pesos next to ado turism station).
Minor drawbacks:
✖ No elevators – Tough for guests with mobility issues.
✖ Entertainment hiccups – The host sometimes forgot to switch back to English after Spanish announcements.
Perfect for: Travelers who want good value, variety, and proximity to Playa’s nightlife.
NNikkilaoshiLocation is great. Checkin was easy. Rooms are spacious with a little kitchenette (stove cooktop & microwave) but there’s no dishes or utensils to cook. Decent coffee/tea setup. Nice robes. Medium sized fridge with freezer section. City view rooms do not have balconies and face street with view of ice cream shop and laundromat. Pool is warm & pool towels available. 1 block from the busy street and 2 blocks from beach. There’s a bar with a pool table, foosball, and darts where happy hour was offered for an hour daily. BREAKFAST WAS NOT WORTH WAKING EARLY FOR. Very limited options and was cold. Also after checking our reservation at the breakfast restaurant they were insisting we pay for it when we paid for it with the reservation. Also felt the breakfast staff were a bit rude when I tried asking for details on the station others were lining up for reminding me of things that were included or not.
YYOUFANGThe hotel does not have a breakfast. It is convenient to have supermarkets and restaurants in the surroundings. There is parking lot. It is close to the sea. It is convenient to swim with a pool. There are many specialties by the sea, and many small gift shops.
NNikkilaoshiFirstly El Beso is simply 1 building within the larger Ocean Rivera resort. Meaning only your building is Adults Only. Our Swim up room was lovely. We tried almost all if not all of the 10 restaurants and we had no complaints the food was good. Maybe not always amazing but never terrible. There’s like 3/4 different brands or levels of service within the larger resort. El Beso seems to be 1 level from the top which is Privilege we switched for an extra night & the mini bar for privilege was much better as well as having the butler service and priority restaurant bookings when they were all booked. There’s also a special restaurant only for privilege that was great but none of the restaurants were extremely crowded. There’s an app or webpage that works like an app with all of the resort info and you can book reservations there. There’s also lots of entertainment nightly. It’s definitely a place to go and stay there’s no need to venture outside of the resort there’s so many things to do schedules are packed for all of the different areas & a bowling alley and theater. There is not much near by the tourist area is maybe 20 mins away by car down the beach.
SShisandao-XA friend bought me the famous Xcaret water park. Hotel prices for Christmas are ridiculously expensive, especially the hotels owned by Xcaret. So this time, in addition to staying at Xcaret Mexico (hereinafter referred to as More Iberostar Quetzal (hereinafter referred to as Q). The price of Hotel Q is less than half that of Hotel X (of course Hotel X includes amusement park tickets, you have to decide whether it’s worth it). Compared to X, which is famous among Chinese people, has better hardware facilities and scenery, I recommend Q more
environment:
Hotel X is a five-star hotel that Chinese people are familiar with. It has large rooms, new facilities, and not to mention hardware. The beach is very unique, and it feels like an Avatar suspended mountain. Most of the beach is composed of rocks, and there is a small section of beach. The water quality is super good. X is the garden and Q is the jungle.
Catering Services:
If I had only stayed at Hotel X, I might have thought it was pretty good, but unfortunately I stayed at Hotel Q. In contrast, Q Hotel feels like home. The waiters are more cheerful and accommodating. The drinks are open to drink. The buffet has many fresh varieties and there is basically no need to wait for a table. On Christmas Day, you can eat lobsters and oysters all you want. There is no stinginess at all. In contrast, the waiters at Hotel
I also made a reservation for the Xin Gao Japanese meal, so my expectations weren’t too high. I ordered an appetizer of rice, and what came out was a bowl of white rice! I ordered sashimi without wasabi. The waiter said sorry, there is no wasabi today. I will give you pickled ginger slices instead of mustard.
Activity:
It’s very convenient to go to Xcaret’s parks, with buses running every 20 minutes. The hotel offers free airport drop-off, but reservation is required one day in advance.
GGuest UserThe apartment in itself has a very nice size, big closet, big and comfortable bed, big sofa, 2 tvs, etc..
At our arrival bot soap dispensers in the bathroom were completely empty!!!!!! We had to contact the Company that manages the apartment, the guy came with one of those huge jar of floor cleaning product cut in half in with inside a liquid in dark yellow/brown colour and fill those dispensers up... very weird..
He was not able to give us any soap to clean dishes in the kitchen :(
The kitchen had very few dishes to be used so we could not really use it.
We used the pool on the rooftop but the bar on the below floor was in ”restructure” mode (and it seems that it has been like that for a while).
We only needed to stay for 1 night, so it was not a big issue for us, but it's a shame that in the whole Riviera Maya nice apartment are not really maintained and services properly...
