Hotel Grand'Italia
4.1/555 Reviews
I stayed for 4 nights, booked directly with the hotel for best price, in July 2023, in a single room (no 104). I arrived at about 10 am at the hotel and it was great that the room was ready and I could check in so early in the day, have a shower and then head off to explore Padova. First of all, my room was not a typical single room in an Italian hotel, that is tiny, but a regular one, which was a big plus. The bed was not a double, but not a narrow single bed either, somewhat one in the middle, which was great. The room was properly furnished, if basic. The bathroom was also large by Italian standards, but with a major flaw: the shower was positioned right in the middle of the bathroom, and cordoned off by a plastic shower curtain that was frankly below any standards, not to mention a 4* hotel. Towels were of good quality. I appreciated and used the minibar, safe, AC, TV with decent selection of channels. Both room and bathroom were kept very clean, and the room efficiently serviced every day. Breakfast was good and varied, espresso provided by request. I chose this hotel for my stay in Padua due to its position, right in front of the railway station. It was very useful as I used it as a base to do daily trips by train to Venice and Verona using the fast (RV=Reggio Veloce) and cheap Italian railway (Trenitalia). You can also include Vicenza. Given its proximity to the station there are a lot of less than desirable people hanging around the hotel, mostly immigrants from Africa, but I never felt inconvenienced or threatened in any way. Pay great attention though while in the station while acquiring your train tickets from the automatic ticket machines. The hotel is also very well placed to explore Padova since the tram station for the tram journey to the historic centre, St Anthony’s church (“Il Santo”), and Il Prato is right in front of the hotel. Tram tickets office also just across the street. I was also somehow worried about the noise from the street given that my room was overlooking the main road in front of the station, but the sound insulation was very good, did not have problems with traffic noise. All in all, this is good value for money hotel for exploring Padua, and Veneto at large, I warmly recommend it. If you fly in/ out from Treviso airport (TSF) there is also a direct bus from the bus station located not far from the railway station, at a cheap fare.
Hotel Garibaldi
4.1/513 Reviews
This is our second stay at the Garibaldi Hotel, and we definitely plan on going back to it if and when we might travel to the area. The staff is very accommodating, breakfast is wonderful, and it's also conveniently close to the train stop (about a 10 minute walk), which makes trips to any destination (Verona, Milan, Venice, Trieste, etc..) an extremely easy task. On top of everything, prices are more than reasonable, considering that a double with breakfast was roughly $60 a night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice (a 20 minute train ride, at the incredible cost of $5 each way) or any other place in the area given its proximity to the railway.
Best Western Plus Net Tower Hotel Padova

I assume that when this hotel arrives, it is a good thing if it is in its guidelines, the room is not bad, even the underground parking structure, but the serious problem of this hotel is staff, We asked for a lower coat, having to stay 3 nights and if it was not for the night shift Lord who found it, my cervical would have suffered so much. The bar despite the food and its variety was good for the staff of a unique maleducation. The chilli on the cake arrived during the last night of stay, entering the room of unwallowed baskets, obviously unclean floor, unreplaced hygienic paper and produced in the finished shower, as to say “ so much is the Last night, when I made my shows in a courteous way the two girls at the reception, untreated and insolent said that it was not dependent on them one of the two intervened saying if you want now I can only change her room, I assume that my own was a simple pointing, so, given the cost, I would not have disregarded to have more than the good personal structure of Education.
Crowne Plaza Padova
4.4/577 Reviews
Hotel is close to the highway and located at the business area, you will need a car if you want to go out for lunch/dinner. The hotel staff makes you feel welcome at check-in, and suggested to park the car in the underground hotel parking – at no cost! The rooms look a bit outdated, the carpet did not look very clean. The bathroom was clean and functional, the bed is positioned as such that it is not in direct line of the flow of the (very effective) air conditioning. Breakfast was buffet style, and offers the typical Italian variety of sweets (I’m not used to eat cake in the morning, but hey, you need to adapt to the local habits.) For us, it was a perfect ‘base’ to visit Padova and for a one day trip to Venice. We left around 8:00 to Venice, and were able to drive to Venice and park in a park house in Tronchetto. No need to book or use a ferry this way!
