We stayed here 2 years ago, roughly the same time of year. We returned, as the hotel is in a great location, and we had good service etc. Sadly the same could not be said this visit. For a hotel of this location, it really does need to be updated. We were in room 4701, and it was in serious need of refurbishment. The ceiling in the bathroom had been lifted in one corner leaving a huge gap, and had been wedged open with a piece of wood. The light by the side of the bed was hanging off the wall! The shower curtain was horrible, and the mattress had collapsed on one side. This said, when told them, they did put things right, apart from the mattress and shower curtain. The service in the restaurant was not as good as before. We were all inclusive, and it seemed to us that they would rather serve those who were half board as they paid for drinks, and therefore the staff were more likely to get a tip. When we asked for drinks, we were told ‘momento’ then they served other diners. As it was so hot, the no shorts at dinner time rule was lifted, but we saw people come in from the pool still in pool gear for an evening meal, so standards are not always upheld. The WiFi is abysmal! It didn’t work in our room at all and was very much hit and miss everywhere. If you need WiFi, you may want to think of other options if you stay here. The clientele of this hotel have an average age of 50 + so if you’re looking for party central, look elsewhere. There were families with children here, but not many. Evening entertainment was ok, and there were daytime activities should you wish to take part. If you’re there on a Sunday get the bus to Costa Teguise market….be prepared not to queue for the bus, as it’s a free for all!!! If you’re want a giggle, go to the crazy golf opposite the hotel, great fun! The hotel is kept clean, and the lady that cleaned our room, was quick, efficient and friendly. We went with friends and had a good time, but will probably not return again.
