Leticia del Mar Adults Only

Pros: location- easy walk to beach and to the shops, bars and restaurants. Apartments are clean and spacious and safe. Pool is smaller than most but as there were only us and 2 other occupied apartments it wasn’t an issue. Cons: road noise. We didn’t realise how close to the road it was but after a few drinks it wasn’t too much of an issue.

We enjoyed our 2 week stay and more or less had the pool area to ourselves. Great location for bus station,shops,restaurants and on the flat. Rooms were clean and towels changed every other day . Beds changed weekly. Pool cleaned too. Only downside.. no aircon which the apartments need ,although we had an end one which had ventilation. Towels had seen better days and would benefit new ones. Parasols and table covers need replacing too. The bungalows probably were better which we would go for next time although looked smaller. Overall a very enjoyable stay on a budget.

My parents stay here every year and I have stayed previous, this is an all adult complex of bungalows and apartments. The bungalows have been refurbished since the last time I had been but was still wry dated, 1 feel that it’s very very basic for what you pay. In the main living area there is only 2 sockets one in the kitchen area and another beside the couch, in the bedroom there is also one socket, if your making breakfast you have to either move the kettle from kitchen so you can use the toaster or make your tea then the toast. There’s no microwave or air con, something that is in a lot of self catering establishments. Towels changed daily beds weekly, the sun loungers are old and the Patel chairs and parasol are old. The only plus about these apartments is the walk in pool that is almost empty everyday and the location as it’s on the flat and not far from the shops. If I was to return to Gran Canaria I probably would look for somewhere else even though I’ve had many a good time previously here, but it is now over priced for the minimum of amenities

We have lived many times at Leticia del Mar for quite many years and where very pleased with our stay. Therefore we booked again by TUI in denmark. We have asked by email if it still was okay to smoke on the terrace infront of our bungalow? The answer was: no, it is not allowed. We had to cancel our booking by TUI and we lost some of our money, and have to find another hotel, where we where welcome as smokers.

I cannot recommend this Property. It is dated apart from the Poolside Bungalows which are a must. The Apartments have no views apart from the Post Office building and work starts before 5.00am. There are ants everywhere for which we bought a spray. It is near the beach and centre. We moved after 1 week.

On arrival (a Sunday lunchtime 1.30pm) we had to phone as no one was at the property. First number we called, they said call the other number this is my day off! 2nd answer said he'd be there in 10 mins, 20 mins later he arrived. Most miserable man, not how you want to start the holiday, it took so long for him to find & fill in paper work, pay for safe & be given keys, all the while he's huffing and puffing because we'd obviously disturbed his afternoon. When we opened our apartment door the smell hit us. It was awful, musty dirty no kettle ( these are self catering remember!) I went back down to reception and asked if it was possible to be moved to clean apartment as this one smelled so bad he came up to room looked around and said what's the problem? When I asked could he not smell it, & where is the kettle he just shrugged and pulled a face. So we eventually got moved next door to a slightly fresher cleaner apartment with a kettle. The towels were awful thin old and smelt musty as soon as used (couldn't ask for clean as he'd left) so I had to hand wash them before we could use them. No clean bed linen in the 7 night stay, towels changed once & again I had to wash them. Only good thing was the cleaners came in most days. Cleaned to an OK standard, but the rooms could really do with a deep clean. As for recently being particially renovated in 2021 (quoting love holidays) I don't call areas of wood effect panels with lighting to lounge & bedroom an update that's just decor, the bathroom & kitchen facilities and furniture are clearly from the 90s (as a resident in in Puerto Rico in the late 90s, we lived in many almost identical apartments) The location is OK if you want level walk to beach & commercial centre. The beds we're comfortable. But that's the only good thing to say. I know "you get what you pay for" and this was a reasonably priced holiday, but have paid less for much better accommodation.

been going to Puerto rico for 20-odd year and this is the best relaxing place i have stayed dated but nice ideal place to every were shops beach etc. yes I would recommend the owners and cleaners are so polite and helpful

Apartments basic. Bed changed once in a week and this was only the top sheet. Apartments opposite a courier company that started work at 7am with lots of shouting. 5 sunbeds which could not be adjusted so only good for beach lovers. Disappointed.

Ideal location,staff very friendly and helpful,pool outside bungalow will definitely be visiting again ,apartment cleaning most days,maid and caretaker very accommodating. I was made to feel welcomed,ideal for a couple or travelling solo as I did.Will definitely be going back again next Easter
