Hotel Best Roquetas

The hotel is in a prime location right on the beach with bars and restaurants just a few steps from the front door. The hotel staff are very friendly and always courteous, they work very hard to keep the public area's clean and tidy at all times. There are a huge amount of sunbeds available with indoor and outdoor pools. We stayed on an all inclusive basis but paid extra for an apar**ent room for extra space and convenience only to discover facilities included just basic cutlery and crockery a saucepan and frying pan and no other cooking utensils, we even had to ask for a kettle, beds were very comfortable, electrical sockets are few and in strange positions (not near a mirror) and there is no full length mirror. Entertainment is terrible and very noisy. The dining experience is the worst part of all, the dining room seats approx 700 people so most things on the buffet need replenishing regularly but this is not done, the food on offer is often cold even when bought straight from the kitchen, you can tell that the food used is of a very low quality and worst of all cooked badly, the layout of the buffet means that whatever you choose to eat you will have quite a journey from your table to buffet and returning to your table, for example if you want a cup of tea with your breakfast the tea is at one end of the room but the milk is at the other. Due to the food experience we will not be returning to this hotel but would consider returning to the Roquetas area.

Just home after a weeks stay nice clean hotel plenty of sunbeds nice small indoor pool rooms ok no kettle provided and no English channels on tv nice big balcony unfortunately we had a side view room002 beds ok food was plentiful loads of choices bacon not all that nice breakfast time went all inclusive service good in the bar entertainment was all in Spanish (I know we were in Spain ) would have expected some English acts . Nice English bar across the road Lilly’s bar resort on the whole very quite but enjoyed our stay

Reception staff and cleaners are excellent so is the aircon. Sadly the rooms are dated and wear is effident ie stains on the walls rust on the fridge white toilet seat worn through to the black base. Hotel was full school holidays impossible to get a sun lounger even though several are marked disabled use only ( my wife is disabled ! ) occupied by anyone ! Booked bed and breafast thank god ! food was only warm and under cooked IE the bacon. Plenty of bars and cafes restaurants nearby. Did not use the bar as was packed, just went out as above sadly we will not return

Came here with the family, 6 adults and 6 children aged 1-12. 1 week all inclusive. I was a bit worried because of some of the bad reviews. Food - a wide variety - always something to eat - desserts we're amazing! Pool area - amazing- kids loved it and so did we! Never struggled to get a sunbed. Pool entertainment fab, everyone joined in! Snack bar /pool bar - amazing - chips, burgers- hotdogs - pizza - toasties- ice cream - Sam migeal - sangria - cocktails and all soft drinks available - spirits are legit- vodka (absolute vodka) very strong haha. Beach is absolutely beautiful and on your doorstep. Hotel itself is kept clean and tidy as well as all the areas around the hotel. We headed out every night - went on the scooters, bikes arcades and for cocktails. Entertainment was on a little late so we didn't stay to watch. Not much English but that didn't bother us. We had a photo shoot around the pool and beach - beautiful. I would definitely come back and definitely recommend to family and friends. Thank you to all staff.

Just come back from a lovely, 7 night family holiday to Hotel Best Roquetas, and I would be happy to recommend it to friends and family. Hotel and pool area are spotlessly clean, and there is always someone cleaning, even late at night. Lots of sun beds available, but many do have shade from the trees, however there are areas which have uninterrupted sunshine. There are lots of umbrellas available too. There is no big rush in the morning for sun beds and we never struggled to get somewhere. We had the one bedroom, side sea view room which was lovely, definitely with the extra. Lots of space, and the view from the balcony was lovely. Again the cleaning is faultless, the staff clearly work hard. I would recommend a trip to the Thursday street market, but make sure you take a hat and fluids, it’s very/sunny hot there. The shopping centre is just up the road for air conditioning and McDonalds. The bus (M999) runs regularly from just outside the hotel, €1.35 per person each way. But they do stop running for a couple of hours late afternoon. Entertainment in the hotel is only in Spanish, so we didn’t stick around most nights for this, preferring to have a stroll out for an hour then return. We did stay for the acrobatics act, as this didn’t need us to understand the talking. I did find the bar service frustrating at times during the evenings, no queue system and people getting served when they have just walked up even though others have been waiting, maybe this could be looked at, as I know other quests commented while we were there. Food is bog standard for all inclusive, they do have theme nights, with staff having different uniform for each night. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful hotel , spotlessly clean , beds really comfortable and rooms cleaned everyday , food was exceptional and the staff , so helpful and really so friendly, right on the beach which was so clean , fantastic holiday , will now be my go to holiday every year , thankyou so much , Alison Andrews

Room was clean but basic. Nice view from the balcony. Powerful water pressure in the shower. Great little souvenir shop on site. We went to the pool bar - no a**osphere, everything was white and not welcoming so we didn’t stay. Close to small bars and restaurants. All in all we had a nice relaxing weekend.

Fabulous hotel Right on the beach with a lovely walk and cycle track directly outside the front gate. Efficient and quick check in, although room not ready we were given our all-inclusive bands so could use all facilities. Our room very clean with a fridge and ample storage. Two double beds which seemed to be standard for twin rooms. All inclusive drinks very good especially as served in glasses in the front bar as opposed to plastic or paper. This bar very busy and noisy at times but staff always friendly and efficient. Food varied and very good in the restaurant although very crowded at times but always managed to find a table. Hotel is quite a walk from the centre but buses frequent and cheap. Plenty of bars and shops near the hotel. Bar in the hotel at night very busy but always found a seat. Mainly Spanish holiday makers in the hotel but we prefer this. Would certainly recommend and return to this hotel. Excellent staff in all areas of the hotel.

Stayed at this hotel with my Dad and sister and enjoyed it. It’s located on the beach which is great if you fancy a change to the pool, but still close enough to take advantage of the all inclusive drinks and food. The sunbeds and parasols on the beach don’t belong to the hotel and you do have to pay for these although only 5 euros for the day or 30 for the week. We arrived at the same time as lots of others so there was a queue for checking in but this was quick and efficient. We heard some people being told their room wouldn’t be ready until 2:00pm (arrived at 12 noon) but ours was ready. The room was spacious and clean and much better decor wise than we had expected based on some of the reviews. Lovely views of the pool, beach, sea and mountains, which was really unexpected as we didn’t pay for a sea view (room 231). Although we were all inclusive the room had a small kitchenette with fridge which was great. There was no kettle for my Dad’s cups of tea but asked at reception and one was sent to the room in minutes! The beds were comfortable and there was a proper single bed in the lounge area for my dad as well as a sofa bed. Air con was good for cooling the room. The pool isn’t as big as it appears in some pictures but it’s still a decent size. Lots of good quality sun beds. None of the putting towels out hours before which was a pleasant change. Always found free sun beds and parasols regardless of what time we went to the pool. Lovely a**osphere, friendly and helpful staff. Yes there was lots of Spanish guests, especially over the weekend and for the afternoon bingo, but this made it a lovely hotel if you don’t want to spend a week getting hit with kids footballs while sunbathing or having to listen to drunken Brits round the pool. The restaurant was big and clean. We didn’t have any issues finding something nice to eat. Lots of choice but it was often cold/luke warm. There were microwaves so no need to eat it cold. Good selection of snacks and drinks, including cocktails. The entertainment was geared towards the Spanish guests but we still spent pleasant evenings in the hotel and enjoyed sitting outside. It’s a shame the pool bar area didn’t open in the evening as this would have been a nice area for the evenings. We visited towards the end of the season but there was still shops and bars open in the area. I would be more than happy to return to the hotel with other family members.
