This hotel is very good in terms of location and service. Breakfasts are also good with varieties. Staff are good in service mind. Only smoking smell that I don’t like. The manager lady, Nicole, is a very nice lady. She helps a lot with her always smiling.

Great location with short walking distance to the metro and Nanjing road east shopping street. Many small eateries nearby. This is a very busy area, we were on the 8th floor and the was not disturbed by noise in the night. Hotel Staff were helpful. Room size was slightly smaller than other cities but still comfortable. Smart automation with voice control in the room was great. Some of the fixtures such as the shower doors and sink are a bit old with rust at the bottom but functioning normally. However the smart toilet was very annoying, the button controls next to side are not visible since it was next to the wall and had to take a photo using my phone to see what they were, furthermore there were no instructions on what the buttons meant. Could not get the bidet to work. The toilet lid did not raise when nearby and kept closing even when seated on the seat and knocking on my back which is unhygienic. Hopefully the hotel can address this which otherwise marred a good experience.

The location is excellent, close to the bund and very convenient for exploring the city. Although the king room I booked was located one floor above and required walking up a short staircase, the hotel staff were very helpful and carried our luggage up and down. I’m truly grateful for their kindness and attentive service. The superb location and helpful service made the overall experience pleasant. A good option if you value convenience and friendly staff

There is smart home in the room, you can voice control AC, window curtain, light and etc, it’s really modern and nice! Also u can do your laundry here, it’s really important for us. The location is just nearby 南京步行街，the room is clean and reception is very polite & good service. Best hotel so far during our China trip. Worth the money and enjoy staying in the hotel

We had a wonderful stay at Meta Tree Hotel Shanghai from 20–22 June 2025. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was impressive. The front desk executives were incredibly professional and courteous, accommodating our late check-in smoothly without any hassle. Their warm welcome and attention to detail truly set the tone for our stay. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable—perfect for relaxing after long days exploring the city. The location is also excellent, with easy access to local attractions and transport.

Exceptional Stay - Outstanding Service! We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. From the moment i arrived, the staffs were incredibly helpful, attentive and professional. Their warm hospitality and willingness to assist with anything we needed truly made our stay feel comfortable. Breakfast perfectly fine for elderly and provided late porridge. Laundry service is good too! Location is also perfect, walking distance to major attractions. Though the room size is slightly smaller than kthers, it does not affect our stay. Understand it located at golden area. Overall, we would stay again if go shanghai, and highly recommend to anyone looking for great service and convenience.

The room was super cozy and clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were super friendly and made me feel really welcome. The pool was amazing, and breakfast every morning was delicious with lots of options. Plus, the location made it easy to get around and explore. I’m definitely coming back next time I’m in town!

We had such a great stay at this hotel during our trip to Shanghai! A few things really stood out and made the experience extra enjoyable: 1. Super Convenient Location: The location couldn’t be better—it’s just one short street away from Nanjing East Road and really close to Line 2 of the metro, so getting around was super easy. The Bund is also within walking distance. Plus, there’s a Lawson right around the corner and a Kedi store just across the street, which came in handy. There are also tons of eateries and coffee shops nearby, so you’re never far from a good meal or a nice cup of coffee. 2. Clean and Comfortable: Since the hotel is still quite new, everything felt fresh and really well maintained. The room was spotless, and they had all the essentials like shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Toothbrush kits are available if you ask, and the heated toilet seat was such a nice touch—especially after a long day out. 3. Room Upgrade with an Amazing View: We got upgraded to the Panoramic Deluxe Room, which was such a nice surprise! The room was really spacious and the view from the window was absolutely amazing—definitely a highlight of our stay. 4. Freeflow Minibar: Loved that the minibar was free and restocked—it’s those little things that make a stay feel extra welcoming. 5. Great Staff and Easy Communication: The staff were super helpful and friendly. You can chat with them through WeChat, and they were always quick to respond whenever we had questions or needed help. All in all, we’d totally recommend this place if you’re heading to Shanghai. It’s in a perfect spot, the rooms are clean and comfy, and the service is top-notch. Would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Always ready to help. Room perfectly clean. Great value for money. Breakfasts were served in the cafe opposite. The hotel was one of the stops on our honeymoon, the staff gave us flowers, a box of chocolates, made swans out of towels. It was very nice. Upon check-out they also gave us a postcard and Shanghai cream. I have only pleasant impressions of the hotel. I recommend it.

The room we got has a very nice view of the bund skyline. No need to go crowded bund area coz you got it in the room. The hotel is just walkable to rockbund and nanjing road and some nice eateries as well. Very convinient for shopping and food trip. Another thing is the robot deliveries 🥰👍
