Pullman Hotels in Shenzhen

This is an above average 5-star hotel in a convenient location. The check-in experience was pleasant and we were upgraded to a suite. The facilities of the hotel were explained clearly by the staff. The room was well maintained and the views are magnificent. Our room overlooked the high speed railway and it was absolutely captivating during sunset. All areas were clean and tidy and the TV was huge. Gym room was well-equipped and the machines were modern. There were some beautiful views of the Shenzhen north station from the workout area. Breakfast was excellent and a highlight of the stay. The pastries were delicious and all items were diligently refilled. The space was light and airy and plates were collected efficiently. Staff on duty were polite and attentive, especially those at the entrance. Well done. Areas to improve: I understand late check-out for lounge rooms is subject to availability, but you should indicate the availability to me at check-in so I can make other plans. I received an unpleasant call at 12:18pm reminding us to check-out, this was extremely stressful for us as we were not ready. My advice is that you should remove late check-out from your documentation (see photo). Executive lounge is a disaster. The lounge was occupied by property agents because they are using the area to sell new apartments. It is noisy, crowded, and guests had to share tables with strangers. The agents completely block the entrance to the lounge and the experience was unwelcoming and humiliating. Many guests came and left because there was nowhere to sit. Overall: We enjoyed our stay here but we will not return to this hotel due to the poor communication about the late check-out. If this incident did not happen, I could recommend this hotel to others. Anyway, thank you again for the upgraded room. It was a comfortable stay with some areas to improve.
