We had the most amazing, memorable stay for 3 nights thanks to all of the lovely staff. Really, I can’t say enough about their thoughtfulness and warmth. This will be our greatest and most fond memory of our time in Cambodia. The room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. We were delivered fresh cookies every day, which I thought was a nice touch. The room had every amenity and I’m sure of anything was missing the staff would have happily locate it for you. The pool was very refreshing which is a great way to cool down from the heat. While in the pool we ordered a couple of beers, but aw usual, the staff went above and beyond, bringing us also a few cocktails and nuts to try out. While relaxing by the pool, we enjoyed an amazing foot massage. We also had the chance to have a scrub, wrap and massage in the spa! Breakfast every morning was delicious. The coffee was amazing and the fruit was out of this world. We enjoyed the food so much, we booked a cooking class with the hotel. The chef met us in the morning to take us on a tour of the local market. He introduced us to many local ingredients that we were unfamiliar with. We then met that afternoon to create a three course meal with the chef, his assistant and other helpers. All of this for just the two of us!! The food was amazing, we learned a lot about Cambodian cuisine and we’re given a certificate at the end. We honestly ate in the hotel restaurant many times simply because the food was of the highest quality and alway mouthwateringly delicious. The hotel also helped us arrange a private bicycle tour of the Cambodian countryside. La was our tour guide. He met us at the hotel and ensured the bikes were in working order. We even stopped at a local tire shop to check the air in the tires. We rode out of the city and around the airport. Then we were treated to the amazing views over the rice fields. We stopped at a local temple, saw local villages and were treated to bamboo sticky rice at La’s home. It was fantastic! La shared many stories and insights into Cambodian culture which helped us to enjoy the trip even more. If possible, try to head out of the city and explore the country side. We loved our time at the Golden Temple Boutique. We were sad to only be there for three nights and hope to rerun one day.

Apologies in advance for the long review but hopefully it will contextualise the review title! Booked to stay for three nights, hotel reached out in advance to arrange airport transfer (no charge) and my transfer was there ready and waiting when I landed with water and a cold towel. Arrived at the hotel and received a lovely welcome drink and nibbles. Staff were extremely warm and friendly, taking lots of time to explain everything about the hotel. The room was clean and of a very good standard, I’d deliberately opted for a room that wasn’t pool facing as I suspected it would be quieter facing away from the road. Reality is I don’t know for sure if there was any real difference but the room was very quiet and comfortable. Can’t say I missed the pool view. Room had very good Wi-Fi so was able to work one morning. Air con super effective. Netflix on the tv. Great rain shower with lots of pressure. I had a sun-rise tour booked so the hotel arranged a takeaway breakfast of my choice for me. Again ready at the time they said it would be (4am as per my request). The spa in the hotel (read massages and treatment) was brilliant. Can’t again rate it more highly and would definitely recommend. For us foreigners it’s incredibly affordable compared to back home. Complimentary lunch organised by the hotel was also superb. Hotel is within walking distance (5 mins) to the more touristy food streets and markets. Area felt extremely safe. Return airport transfer (again free) exactly on time as agreed. Honestly you can’t take clear communication and hotel organisation for granted. Thank you to all the team at the hotel for an amazing stay. You were all fantastic and I wish you all every success!

From the moment we arrived I could tell we were not going to have a good experience at this hotel. We came from a very long day of travel and the key card didn’t work. Thankfully the attendant walked us to the room so she went down and got a new card without a long wait. I just wanted to take a hot shower and relax after the long day of travel but the water was COLD - not cool, COLD. I was so tired that I took the shortest shower in history and told my husband I want to leave this hotel. He called the front desk and someone came to our room and showed him the geyser button. WHY DIDN’T the attendant tell us about that when she walked us to the room???? My husband convinced me to stay at this hotel as it would have been more of a hassle to move somewhere else and we were only in the hotel for breakfast, short amount of time in the evening and to sleep. It didn’t even matter about the geyser anyway because after only a few minutes the water would go cold again anyway - for every shower. And it wasn’t just a fluke in our room, we overheard other guests talking about this as well. There was a large breakfast spread but for vegetarians there was only fruit, bread and croissants. We did appreciate that they made fried rice for us, upon request. The bed was comfortable but so big for the room that the only way to get off on one side was to scoot across the bed, which also meant nightstand on one side only - not even outlets on the non-nightstand side. The safe in the room was janky and didn’t work half the time though it did fit a MacBook Pro, Canon series DSLR WITH lens attached with room to spare. The toilet had to flushed at least twice to actually flush. The one thing this hotel has going for it is the location. You can walk to all the restaurants, bars, shops etc. The downside of that is we heard music blasting until 2-3am every night, but with earplugs we were able to sleep. The room had an old hairdryer- the kind that is permanently attached to the wall with an old coil wire that I got frustrated fighting with after one try so switched to using mine. They provide shampoo and body gel - no conditioner - that’s not a criticism just an fyi. They provided 1 shower cap, dental kits for 2, razor, qtips. This is an old hotel in a good location - you can find much better.

Royal Crown Hotel Siem Reap

This was an absolute gem of a hotel. It's near the main attractions without being on top of them. It was a bargain price with breakfast included. It's not far from Siem Reap airport & they can arrange collection from the airport for you. There are a couple of supermarkets opposite as well as pharmacy in one of them. There are lots of restaurants a short walk away towards the river & Pub Street as well as a market which is open in the evenings. Ankor Wat temples are also only a short tuk-tuk ride away. The hotel has 2 x small pools which were great, as well as happy hour in the early evenings to sample their cocktails while you cool off at one of the pools. The breakfast was impressive with a wide selections / choices to suit all nationalities. Probably the best breakfasts we had on our 3 week trip. The rooms were large, with the most comfortable beds. The bathroom was modern with a lovely shower. There are tuk-tuks outside the hotel so if you don't feel like walking it's easy to get that lift. We also used the spa facilities & had massages & treatments which were so cheap compared to other places we visited & were great. The staff were friendly helpful & courteous. All in all I could not fault this wonderful hotel. Would I stay there again? - Absolutely I would!

If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay in Siem Reap, look no further: The Five Senses Boutique Hotel is a perfect place to be in every way. I’m serious, here you can find literally everything you need to make the most from your trip. Judge for yourself: the location is just a stone’s throw from the downtown, and at the same time the hotel is situated on quite street, which means that you can have a good sleep in an extremely comfy bed in the room with full amenities after a roaring night. Then, here you can book any excursions you need, including of course, a trip to Angkor Wat. Here, I want to express special thanks to our driver, Bon Teung, with whom we made a small temple tour and big temple tour. Bon Teung made our trips really comfortable and pleasant. I won’t forget about food: breakfasts in the hotel are a-la carte, so anyone can find something to their taste. As for lunch and dinner time, there are a few restaurants nearby. In one of them, Sambo, you can try a variety of real Khmer dishes. Finally, I must thank to the person, who is, literally, a linchpin of this place: the owner Bruno and his lovely family. Bruno is definitely one of the best hosts we’ve ever met in our life! Wouldn’t it be great if all hotels' hosts did their as brilliant as Bruno does! Btw, we were communicating with Bruno directly via messenger on Google Maps and our booking process was as smooth as silk. Thank you very much once again, Bruno and Bon Teung for unforgettable two days in Siem Reap. We're looking forward to seeing you again!
Apsara Centrepole Hotel

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel and here is a summary of positive and negative points: Positive points: - Excellent location near the 'old market' and the night market as well as the bouillonant Pub street - the hotel offers to come The hotel is very helpful to organise your visiting days in the beautiful temples of the city, and it is very practical. Tuktuk drivers I contacted directly by whats'up and whose numbers I received through the online forums of the router - a very warm welcome and a careful and smiled staff - the room is spacious, The hotel is very well equipped and the bathroom is quite right in terms of size and equipment. In the hotel's rooms, and no anti-moustic in the room - a bar in front of the hotel puts music in the early morning, difficult to sleep with the bass in the ground. It is true that it is not the fault of the hotel but we are suffering these harms as residents - breakfast is really average and could be more generous in quantity
Residence Wat Damnak

Hotel management was confusing, and two of my rooms were wrong in three days. Every day I can see other quarreling guests in the lobby. The manager said it was oversold because of the Spring Festival. When you booked the room, you should read it clearly and ask clearly. We had no window on the first day and it was speechless. The family room is quite spacious and clean. All in all the room was ok, the location was good and the management was terrible. Ctrip's coordination service is quite timely.
