chosen 1_Having lived in Cambodia for a long time, I was accompanying my wife on a business trip to Phnom Penh this time. Since I enjoy trying out different hotels, I stumbled upon the newly opened Steigenberger Hotel in the Morgan Tower on Diamond Island. Morgan Tower is a local landmark office building with excellent access control and security, making for a reassuring stay. Upon learning that Steigenberger is a German hotel brand with nearly a century of history, we decided to give it a try.
We had originally booked a king-sized room, but during check-in, the front desk staff learned that our wedding anniversary was approaching and proactively upgraded us to a deluxe river-view suite. A staff member even accompanied us back to our old room to collect our luggage and helped move it to the new suite. The entire process was very thoughtful and the service was impeccable.
Both the king-sized room and the river-view suite were lovely, especially the latter. Located approximately 220 meters high, the hotel offers panoramic views of Phnom Penh city and the confluence of the three rivers. The daytime views are expansive, and the nighttime city lights are equally beautiful. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, making for a very comfortable stay.
As we arrived quite late, breakfast at the 46th-floor restaurant had already finished, so the staff directed us to the hotel's Japanese restaurant. We ordered a Tomahawk steak and a sushi set, both of which were delicious and high-quality. The restaurant is helmed by a chef with a Michelin three-star restaurant background, and the dining environment and high-altitude views were also excellent.
Overall, this stay far exceeded our expectations. From the room views and dining to the service, everything left a great impression and completely changed my perception of hotels in Phnom Penh. I would likely choose to stay here again on future visits to Phnom Penh.

Guest UserRoom was a family suite and it was cozy for family of 3-4 but note that there is only 1 bathroom. So for family with older kids may not be the best.
Otherwise facilities are amazing. Staffs are super attentive and friendly. Service is promopt. Food is delicious in all restaurants!

ZhuifengI was very satisfied with my stay this time! The front desk staff were incredibly helpful, patient, and polite. Check-in and check-out were very quick, and they thoughtfully answered all my questions, making me feel very well taken care of. The room was clean and tidy, the environment was comfortable, and the facilities were complete. The bed was also very comfortable, so I slept soundly. The hotel's location is convenient, and the overall experience was fantastic. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit and will recommend it to my friends. Five-star rating, highly recommended!

Mike TohPleasantly surprised at the rooftop bar and restaurant and the view was amazing.
It was a little warm and they asked me to move inside but I did not want to actually. I enjoy the view too much. The food is good and will definitely come back.
The rooms are very clean and neat, I love the soap bar but the TV interface is not very useful and I hope they improve on this.

Guest UserThe location is lovely and as you arrive there’s a real wow feeling.
The service is excellent and the whole team are delightful.
The pool was beautiful and the gardens were really lovely.
It was really quiet when we were there so the restaurant was often empty besides us which felt a bit strange. The food was fine but could have been hotter, it felt that presentation took priority over heat. The prices in the restaurant seemed quite high.
I love the idea that this place is eco friendly however if guests are expected to top up water bottles the water stations should be clean and inviting.
The gym was a bit scruffy and not inviting but then I wasn’t there for that!
The place is relatively new however there were definite signs of the rooms being tired but I think if cleaned more would make the place look spectacular - which I guess is the desired effect. Eg. Our courtyard was very scruffy and not welcoming. The TV wasn’t working and the windows in the apartment desperately needed cleaning.
Some little touches and attention to detail would bring this back to the 5* glory that it should be.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and hope that the management team take my comments on board because I think it could be fabulous.

Guest UserLocated at the old airport, this hotel used to be called Weima and is now a Crowne Plaza. It's situated within a small shopping mall with many restaurants nearby. The rooms are quite spacious and the facilities are fairly new. The breakfast is a bit monotonous; honestly, there's not much variety.

This is my 2nd time at the Sokha in Phnom Penh and both times were fantastic. I will stay again for sure. The rooms are incredible - clean - huge - high ceilings, great view. My friends and I referred to it as “the palace” the first time. It is so luxurious and a wonderful treat. The pool is clean and enormous. The workout room is clean, open with a nice view and has fantastic machines. The spa is lovely. They have several restaurants. I cannot resist the rooftop and only chose that one. Prices were reasonable for the value. The staff is so friendly. Senh at the front desk took extra care to make sure I was comfortable. It is on the “other” side of the river but you can cross on the car ferry for 25 cents (R1000)and are right in all the action on the other side. Sorry I forgot to take room photos but here is the pool and view from my room!

Overall, it was a very good stay. The only minor issues were the unclear route for food delivery pick-up, which caused some confusion, and the air conditioning was a little weak, but not a major problem. The bathroom was also a bit small. On the plus side, the staff were friendly, and the upstairs bar was a nice touch. All in all, I highly recommend this accommodation.

Every time I visit Phnom Penh, I stay at this hotel. The breakfast is fresh and plentiful. The pool and gym are clean. The hotel staff are enthusiastic, and the parking security guards are amiable. The foot massage parlor on the first floor of the hotel is also really nice! Plus, there are so many mango trees in the garden outside. It's also very close to the Royal Palace, less than 200 units away.
