Very satisfied! The hotel opened by the Chinese feels like going home. The boss is super Naise! Give us free upgrade suite, free breakfast, even the deposit is avoided. It is really moved. The first night in Cambodia is particularly great!

With regards to *********** reference 432913xxxx, the front desk person wanted to ask for extra money. He said he is the OWNER of the hotel, and he has decided to cancel my booking when I refuse to tip him extra. Another lady customer was checking in, the front desk gentleman skipped all formalities and took cash and put into his wallet straight away. I was shocked. Still, he proudly declared, while violating the lady’s privacy. “All these working women stay here. They know me I know them” as if to validate his claim of being the owner of Sunshine hotel. I think he is pulling a SCAM behind the management for his own benefit - cash taking, no receipts. He finally leaped forward to attack me, trying to snatch my phone. His violence was shocking, I wanted to call police but I don’t think it is worth it.
The hotel is situated close to the airport, the area around the hotel is filled with places to eat with delicious foods. The hotel is clean and comfy with snacks and multiple room options. The hotel manager was amazing and made my stay much more enjoyable. They organise transport for you as well which avoids dealing with potential scams. Highly recommended !

This is my first time in Cambodia. I chose a hotel very close to the airport. The hotel can pick you up, which is quite good. The staff are also very enthusiastic and all speak Chinese. There is no barrier to communication. It is also very convenient to eat nearby. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 3 weeks while on vacation and what a gem of a place it is!! Lovely pool, surrounded by trees and has a bar and restaurant. Our buffet breakfast was included, and it has a good range of food, coffee and teas included. The bar and wait staff were amazing. Satana (Restaurant supervisor) and her team Soklen, Dolla and Clinton made us feel so at home and nothing was too much trouble for them. They went to extraordinary lengths to make sure everyone was well fed and happy. The restaurant is pretty good too and they have a large range of Asian and Western foods available. They also made great cocktails and the 3rd one is free during happy ”hours”. Our rooms were cleaned thoroughly and hotel itself is very clean throughout. Very safe and lots of tuk tuks outside. It is very close to quite a few bars and restaurants as well. The only issue we had was when we arrived the amount we paid wasn't in full and we had a hefty bill on checkout. Apparently they only charge a part payment for long stayers. Yes we should have checked properly too, that's jetlag for you. But we will definitely go back there.

AAirborn63The hotel is situated off the main road around 200 meter down a small street. The hotel has a 7 floors and a lift, each floor rooms along the outside corridor.
My room was small with a double bed, small fridge and a good sized walk in shower. Mini bar provided.
There is a restaurant and bar, food can also be delivered to room if you like local food there are lot of restaurants on the main street. Also supermarkets and other shops.
Breakfast provided was good and lovely seating area outside.
Great value for money
AAndrei C123First the clubs nearby are really loud. Music is blasting till morning. And many little other problems. Took me 5 minutes to figure out how to open the door, and I had to call to figure out how to close it. They have the weirdest door lock, and they don't even tell you when you check in. The view is nice outside, but the windows need cleaning outside.
There's also a weird cabinet in the room, which kinda makes you feel uneasy. What if someone is hiding in there just waiting for you to fall asleep.
One of the weirdest hotels I ever been in.

GGuest UserI have just returned from my fourth stay at this hotel, 12 nights, Room 302. Located on Street 172 known as Backpacker Street. A great stay as always, nothing is ever a problem here. Fast check in, no issues. Very comfortable room with everything you need including a safe. Pay a little more and get a balcony room, watch the world go by outside. Good internet connection. On site laundry service. What makes this hotel is the staff: warm, friendly, professional and caring. Everybody speaks English or at least their English is much better than my Khmer. Great location. Plenty of restaurants and bars in the street. Tuk Tuk's just outside the front door. Big convenience store at the end of the street. The Manager kindly gave me a late check out of 3 hours on my last day for no cost. Thank you to everybody at the Silver Mounts Hotel for making my stay so enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel and I can't wait to be back next year.

HHeySiryNo more next time for this hotel. I am a regular guest here for years and the staff remember me well.
But this time I really disappointed. I booked the Premium Double Room with 26$ prepaid with non-refundable. But when I check in there is no room available for me. The staff ask to change to Twin Room (cheaper price) or else only available for smoking floor. After working with his 2 computers for awhile the staff ask me would u like to change to Twin Room which is no other solution. I have no choice and no other solution and I explain to the staff I paid 26$ because I stay alone and want to sleep on a big bed not to sleep in Twins bed alone. Hotels if no available for booked and paid room for guest is hotel mistake should upgrade for a better room for guests, not to downgrade to cheaper room no matter how much it cost.
Once again I am your regular guest

TThusharaWe booked two Superior Twin Rooms, but the room type we received was not correct. One of the two rooms was way below the standard. In fact, it did not even have a window open to the outside air. The window was facing a visiting room. And one of the walls was partitioned with a hardboard, which was quite unsafe. The table provided in the room was rough and of low quality wood.
The couple who had to check in to this room had informed the person who was at the reception about this issue at the time of checking in. They asked for the exact room type that we have paid for. But they were simply informed that room type was not available and were left without any other reasonable option. This is quite frustrating after paying for the rooms in full before coming to Cambodia.
Most importantly, at the checkout time, the reception did not take any responsibility for my request to refund at least the price difference to the couple who had to stay in this lower standard room. The receptionist (Somaly) said it's not her business and we should not have accepted the room on arrival in the first place. She did not even bother considering the real situation we had to face.
We understand this is very unprofessional and unreasonable.
In terms of the room service, we had only two tea bags and two water bottles for the entire three days.
Both rooms had a very bad smell, which means cleaning is not done properly.
So I have to say that the room service also is not so good.

GGuest UserOnly stayed one night. It’s not really a hotel. The ground floor looks like a hostel with a shared kitchen. Lots of long stay travelers seem to stay here. No hot water. You can easily find a proper hotel in the same area at a similar price point.

GGuest UserAn unfortunate experience, I found myself in the worst situation dealing with M Residence, as on the day of my check-in, the Sale Manager Vincent neglected to inform the receptionist about my booking, and instead of booking online for a fair rate, they wanted to charge me 50 USD per night, when it was only 24 USD online. Because the receptionist was new and unfamiliar with the process, she had to validate each step with her manager. It took me 45 minutes to check-in. The whole thing felt sketchy because I had to pay 130 USD with tax instead of 72 USD online with Airbnb small tax it would have cost max 86 USD if I recall. Anyway, I paid and received a very small room with hardly working air conditioning and filthy elevator. The swimming pool was breaking apart, and it appeared that the structure was inadequately maintained. There was no pool attendant, and no PH and CL analysis of the chemicals in the pool was available. The entire establishment is a shambles, and they definitely lack hospitality skills. Anyway I shared some information about my experience with the Manager who told me “The staff are so bad” I wanted to react and tell him that he should invest in training them but I could see there was no point in telling him has he clearly do not hold any sense of hospitality skills… The day before my departure I contact the “Receptionist Supervisor” and asked if I should do my check out now to collect my deposit back as I leave at 5:50 am and she informed to not to worry there is 24/7 staff at the lobby. Of course, the day of my check out there was no staff at the lobby to proceed my check-out so now they are ghosting me over 30 USD refund. In addition to all of this I intended to do a collaboration with the Sales manager upon my arrival a discount or free stay over some pictures which they gladly receive but never gave me proper feedback nor a compensation. M Residence is a disgrace to the hospitality industry in Cambodia. Their unethical practices and scams are not the way to conduct business.

MMr.KrThis is a cheap option for accommodation with an average breakfast(buffet) . The price is adequate to what you pay for. The hotel has a good location close to the S21 museum (about 7 minutes walk). About 30 minutes walk to the central market or the royal palace. lWeak WiFi. Helpful staff in the lobby. Inexpensive meals in the restaurant.

GGuest UserWhat a great hotel super helpful manager or owner helped me with my bags to my room. The room is really first class stylish finish on walls. It’s also in really nice central spot to all the great restaurants and banks. When you book a stay in the hotel room it comes with breakfast what a bonus. The tv is fitted with great channels that you keep you up to date with current news or relaxing music. The air-con is great aswell. A 5 star experience on my count I would recommend this hotel to any tourist coming to Phnom Penh Cambodia 🇰🇭.

CCraftBeerDeanBooked via Agoda for $10 a night. same place as Diamond Palace II/RS II Opposite the park. 2 rows of 4 rooms with the ones at the front having a view the ones at the back are quieter. The stairs are a bit steep. There's no lift. I got a small but decent sized room for 1 person. Wifi was good. There were 2 bottles of water in the room. I put them in the fridge (which was unplugged, doh!). Some of the plug sockets were a bit dodgy in the room. I asked to be moved to another room. This one was better. Most of the plug sockets worked and there was a wardrobe and it was on the 2nd floor.
