Had a wonderful stay at Andu. The front desk staff are all polite, helpful and informative, especially 小张。The hotel location is centralised. Room is big and very comfortable. Breakfast is good.

Overall the hotel is in a good location, just opposite the tourist area - Pingjiang Road. It was a pity that the hotel driveway was having works as it made taking of didi really tough with the heavy traffic around. It was wonderful that they provide a laundry room that is FOC, but we met terrible hotel guests who removed my family clothes from both washer and dryer when they were still wet. More consideration into how such acts could be prevented could be in place. Hotel breakfast and gym were both basic. Special mention to Front Desk Officer Amanda (on duty on evening of 28 Dec) whose service was excellent.

It's definitely a large space for 2 seniors and another couple. In general, the amenities are sufficient - overall furnishings were just dated (90/00s style)
Though we are staying on a non-smoking floor, there was still a reek of cigarettes. There were clearing a couple of ciggy butts near the lift. Staff only came up to spray freshener / ventilation after feedback.
For improvement: dining chairs were old and cushions were sunken.

The hotel is very nice and clean. The location is very convenient, nit far from Suzhou train station. There are two subway stations nearby, line 6 and kine 8. The hotel is very neat and tidy. When areiving to the hotel, Ms. Xiaochen (小陈） received us with joy and provided a free room upgrade. Later, she often send some everything snacks to our room. She is very professional and kind. Upon checking out, the fornt desk did not understand how to issue a receipt for foreign APP, but after contacting Xiaochen, she solved it shortly. I highly recommend this hotel, and definitely book in it again when visiting Suzhou.

Hengli Hotel is really considerate and enthusiastic. During my stay, I was impressed by the service attitude of the hotel housekeeper, Miss Jiang Yining. She introduced me from the front desk to the guest room bit by bit. The little girl who loves to laugh, her warm smile and meticulous and thoughtful service made me feel the warmth of home. The room I stayed in was spacious and bright, with a reasonable layout, which brought me an extremely comfortable experience for my stay. Whether it is a business trip or a leisure vacation, such a room is very satisfying. The bedding in a hotel is very good, with soft mattresses, clean sheets and bedding, which brings me sweet dreams every night.
The breakfast provided by the hotel is varied and nutritionally balanced, combining Chinese and Western cuisine, meeting the taste needs of different guests, making every breakfast a wonderful enjoyment. In the future, Lao Suzhou will still choose Hengli Hotel.

We were given quite a few small toys for our 18-month old, and they also helped us with our luggage. Location is also convenient for Didi car pick-ups. The room is clean, but the table in the room is very light so it toppled/moved very easily when our kid pushed it. The floor in front of the bathroom was a little bit slippery when we have our floor towel, so be extra careful and remove the floor towel elsewhere once everyone finish taking a shower. Electrical outlets were not universal, but the hotel has converters we could borrow. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, and would stay here again.

The gated hotel is a co-op made up of restored and new buildings, a restaurant, and a spa, but nothing over 3 stories. There are numerous restaurants once you leave the grounds -- go west.
Get the breakfast buffet, it is worth it!
The tourist center is a block west and next to the Grand Canal. Go there, and ask the nice young lady how to get around. The hotel will give you change for the bus. The police and information will help you in the metro.
Be sure to walk up and down the canal, enjoy people watching, especially the young ladies dressed and made up in beautiful period piece costumes. You can rent one yourself if you wish to participate.
Most of the tourist sights are within walking distance, including the Humble Administer's Garden and the sanpan ride on the canal. The hotel also has a nightly cruise sign up.
If you want to see a panda, you'll have to go to the Taihu Wetland Park -- it's about 30 km from the hotel. You can get there by cab or public transportation.

The room was booked temporarily. There are more than a dozen Atour hotels in Suzhou. I chose the one with the latest renovation. I checked in on Christmas Eve. The front desk gave me two beautifully packaged apples. There is an underground parking lot downstairs. It is clean and bright. The elevator goes directly to the first floor, which is the hotel lobby. There is a study on the first floor, and the Atour bedding exhibition area, as well as a restaurant. The backyard is a simple garden landscape. Although it was newly renovated this year, it does not have any smell. The room is relatively large, the layout is reasonable, and the details are well designed. The overall style is what I like. When the TV is turned on, Atour's own documentary is on. There is also a brand introduction on the drinking water. The bathrobes are all individually sealed. There are white porridge and pumpkin porridge for late night porridge, as well as steamed buns and dumplings. The porridge is delicious. There is nothing special about breakfast. The restaurant is a sunken space. I like this space. In short, if it is the same price, I would prefer Atour.

TTuscany RoseI am absolutely in love with this hotel! First of all, the hotel is located inside the scenic spot. One of the staff called me in advance to arrange a time to pick me up at the entrance of the scenic spot. My Chinese is not good so normally it's very awkward for me to speak over the phone in Chinese but she was very patient with me which I appreciate. Not only did she escort me to the hotel but she also carried my luggage for me.
The decor inside the hotel has a beautiful, rustic asthetic which matches the feel of the ancient town. I really like table and chairs in my room, overlooking the pond. The pond also has koi fish and turtles! It was a beautiful touch that added to the overrall feel of the hotel. I loved these little details such as theovely traditional Chinese tea set (with a variety of complementary loose tea leaves), and the stylish coffee mugs.
Unfortunately I came to Zhouzhuang during a severe typhoon which caused a leak and power cut in my room, so when I alerted the staff, they immediately gave me a new room. They even helped me pack my things so I can change rooms as soon as possible. The new room I went to was equally as beautiful.
Not only is the hotel beautiful but it also has great amenities. Both rooms I stayed in had a stone bathtub which were both very deep -you could float it in! If you come here, I would recommend you bring some bubble bath with you like I did for maximum relaxation. I also made good use of the pool. The pool is a little small and a bit too shallow for an adult, but you can still have an enjoyable swim. Lastly, the tea room and cafés are also a nice addition to the hotel. My second room didn't have a table and chairs like the original one I booked, so I went to the tea room to eat my breakfast. It's also a cozy and comfortable room just to relax in if you're feeling lazy.
As I have mentioned throughout this review, the service is second to none. Not only did the staff help me get to the hotel, but after I checked out they also carried my luggage and escorted me to the taxi. Throughout my stay I was offered fresh fruit and coffee several times, and as I mentioned earlier, I was immediately helped when I had to change my room. Whenever I struggled to communicate in Mandarin, the staff would try their best to speak English or would be patient with my hesitation or mispronunciation in Mandarin. This is probably the best ever service I have experienced on my travels.
In summary, it's a beautiful hotel, in a convenient location with great facilities and helpful and kind staff. Not only will I come back again (and with my family next time) but I will recommend all my friends and colleagues to stay at this hotel if they ever plan to visit Zhouzhuang.

Especially the scenery of the B&B, whether taking pictures or relaxing, is very stylish and makes people linger. The afternoon tea and breakfast provided by the B&B are also very delicious. While enjoying the delicious food, you can also feel the unique charm of Zhouzhuang.
The environment around Mailun Academy is also very beautiful. You can reach various attractions in Zhouzhuang Ancient Town within walking distance, making it very suitable for family outings or couples' vacations. GGuest UserNow, I can sit here and tell you that we’re staying in an eco-friendly hotel that even though you’re inside its high glass windows gives you an outdoor vibe. I can even sit and talk about the saline pool, its state-of-the-art gym and list all the amenities; and I can even talk about the number of rooms and the fact that as we speak there’s an international summit going on here.
Somehow that won’t speak about my experience here at this hotel. Elements (by Westin) Suzhou Science & Technology Town does have all of the above BUT what I love about this hotel is its Staff. I love the fact that they seem to be always be here. I somehow believe that they live onsite because they’re always around.
In the morning, even before I enter the Salon I hear, “Nǐ hǎo Marsha” from the Breakfast Host, followed up by the nice lady in the Salon, smiling at me and ushering me to the coffee machine, while handing me my 2 brown sugar packs. She knows my morning habits so quickly. Not only that, because they knew Peter was missing from my breakfast table for a few mornings, they now signal to me with take away containers for Peter, to have his breakfast in the room.
When we need to go anywhere the young ladies at the Front Desk (no matter which Shift) are always either asking us where we need to go so that they can call a CASH taxi to get us to our destination. One of them even came with me one day to the Bank of China’s ATM and sat in the taxi while I went in and conducted my business and accompanied me to the Campus to visit Jon-Marc. Yesterday, one of them even used her own Didi account to get us transportation back to the hotel and we reimbursed her (and walked away while she was trying to give us back our change because we knew she wouldn’t have taken the Tip as is their custom). How else could we have shown her how grateful we were for her kind gesture?
Then there is Simon Jiang, the General Manager, who speaks perfect English and is always there to assist and offer suggestions of things to do and places to go. Simon was the one who actually explained to me that you can’t just walk into a pharmacy and get anything without a prescription. What I can tell you is that even though he is the GM he is always on hand assisting the staff with their work. Even though there is a clear hierarchy here, he takes off his jacket and assists in the kitchen, you can sometimes see him helping the older ladies bring out the heavy equipment (if needed) when they’re cleaning the floors, clear tables, etc.
Or Alex Ju, the Assistant General Manager, who accompanied Peter and I to the hospital and stayed and spoke with the doctor and the international insurance department on our behalf (in Mandarin) to make everything a little easier for us.
These people are the ones who have made my stay here memorable and I can honestly say that its because of them that I would recommend Elements by Westin in Suzhou to ANYONE who wanted a place to stay without hassle and with a host of helpful, courteous, friendly staff. It has been my pleasure having encountered such warm, friendly, delightful and gentle human beings.

GGuest UserIt was the first time to take two young babies out for a trip at the same time. I was still very nervous before checking in, but the hotel called in advance the day before check-in to inquire about the needs and informed that there would be a housekeeper to contact, which made me feel a lot more at ease. The request to install a fence was also noted and prepared in a timely manner. Arriving at the hotel in advance, the housekeeper Yu Ting was already waiting at the front desk and had reserved a room for us in advance. Ctrip customers helped upgrade the lake view room. It can be seen that the housekeeper had communicated with the front desk. After checking in, the housekeeper introduced the hotel's facilities and equipment in detail and sent us to the room. It was very considerate. After checking in, the two babies were very happy. I took Dabao to swim and play in the water, and took Erbao to several parent-child parks with the hotel (with slides, building blocks, and cassia seed sand digging). Last weekend, it happened to be windy and rainy. The two babies could have activities to consume in the hotel, which was really good. The outdoor train was also started in time when it was not raining halfway. I communicated with the housekeeper and exchanged the adventure park in the package for a train ticket so that adults and children could experience the train. In general, the hotel has been open for a long time, and the facilities and equipment are indeed not that new, but fortunately the service is still quite good (including butler communication before check-in, welcome fruits, various thoughtful reminders after check-in, turndown service at night, and small gifts upon check-out). It is quite suitable for parent-child and family travel without particularly high requirements. Next time, I will probably choose to bring my baby to experience it!

The staff in the lobby are very careful, warm and friendly. Brother Zhang on the shuttle bus is also very enthusiastic. Every staff member we meet greets us enthusiastically, helps us with our luggage, and takes the initiative to take us to where we want to go when we ask. The experience is particularly good! Especially suitable for parent-child travel and vacation! The children had a lot of fun! The malachite exhibition is of great artistic value. I learned that each stone in the collection is unique. The perfect combination of life and art shows the beauty of Chinese classical art!

PPo LingOur twin room is very spacious and cozy. We loved how the staff speedily gave us an air purifier when we said we smelled some cigarettes smell. It helped refreshing the room fairly quickly. The fixtures and fittings are very useful, from good size of wardrobes, suitcase space, sofa, desk, bed and pillow are reasonably comfortable and not too soft. Housekeeping is very neat and tidy as well. We particularly like the open view from window facing the shopping arcade (traditional low rise houses). Last but not least, we wanna thank Hailey Song for going an extra mile and helped us return a parcel to SF upon check-out. Will recommend others upon their visit to Suzhou :)

FFreelaxMy maiden trip to China and Suzhou is my 2nd stop. I’m a Singaporean and I was proud to learn that our past 3 Prime Ministers have stayed in the same hotel. The hotel was an ancient castle therefore the compound is huge. We have free access to the Panmen. We were given free self service laundry. Breakfast was good spread. Walking distance to Metro and canal boat ride. Actually we also have got free one hour Hanfu experience but we paid for a 宫宴 dinner which was next to the hotel. Before our stay, I have requested to the hotel for a simple deco for our room as it was my husband’s birthday. Not only did they helped me to decorate the room, they gave us a big cake and also upgraded our room. We had a memorable stay. Thank you very much

GGuest UserReally beautiful place. It looks to be brand new - maybe it is, maybe it isn't, but it certainly looks new. The room (a suite) was very spacious, very clean. Just a very beautiful place that fit well with the surroundings. The whole building was impeccably clean.
I rated the service 5/5 because the owners were very nice, and largely left us alone. The family was processing tea and were quite busy - check-in was extremely quick, check-out too. I'm not looking for hospitality, so being left alone suited us fine - this isn't a criticism at all! The rooms don't really come with much extra (tea, coffee etc.), just a couple of bottles of water, so best to know that before you book if you usually expect this, but we didn't so we were fine with it.
You can buy really good tea from them (maybe we timed it well as we arrived at the peak tea-picking time). The owners were very kind and let us try some, and it's really good tea - we ended up buying some.
Food was pretty good, but again they were quite busy and have specific times that food is available, and no menu, so best to check ahead with them (again, really taking into account that they were super busy processing tea when we were there). Absolutely not a problem as there are so many great restaurants around too.
TV in the room had VOD but without VIP, so if you're looking to watch movies or anything best to bring your own (including HDMI cable as our TV didn't have one).
Location excellent. Space for maybe 4 cars to park, right next to a small hill, very close to the pick-up point for the sightseeing bus to take you up to Xishan, and surrounded by lots of restaurants, B+Bs etc. so if you like coffee, there's a shop just down the road. Very beautiful surroundings - you will be shocked that you're so close to Suzhou as there's absolutely no evidence that you're anywhere near a city!
All in all, really enjoyable. Amazing price for a suite (around Y500 per night) and one of the better homestay-style places we've stayed in. Highly recommended.
