"It was very late when I checked in at the hotel. On the same day, EMily chen, the front desk clerk, called me to ask when I could arrive at the hotel, and checked the reservation information (number of days and room type) with me. She also helped me upgrade for free, which was very good. The hotel has been open for a long time, and the room facilities are a little old. The front desk responded quickly when I reported the problem, which is also worthy of praise. The service is still in place. Overall, it is still very good! It is worth recommending."

"Highly recommended! The owner is lovely, and the staff at the front desk are super helpful. The hotel's central location is perfect for food, drinks, and entertainment – everything is so convenient. I only booked one night initially, worried it might not be great, but I extended for another night once I saw it. This is hands down the best value-for-money hotel. What truly stands out is how clean the bedding is and how quiet the environment is; it was incredibly comfortable. If I wasn't heading to the ancient town next, I'd definitely stay here again in Suzhou. This place is a perfect match for anyone particular about a hotel's environment, quietness, and bedding hygiene. The owner is a truly ethical businessperson, and the rooms are tastefully decorated. XXiaohuadidiThe hotel environment is great, and the rooms have just been renovated but there's no unpleasant smell. The service is excellent! I'd especially like to thank Tingting at the front desk, Wang Zhi from housekeeping for the beautiful flowers, Xiaoyun at the kids' club for helping me find my baby's water bottle, and Wu Dan for the generous fruit delivery. Overall, the service was fantastic! [smiley faces] It's also very suitable for children, as they can feed koi, bunnies, black swans, and ducklings. The children's play facilities are also abundant.

FFalvbenThe hotel breakfast isn't expensive, and the variety is pretty decent with plenty of meat dishes. Within 1km, there's the 'Su Run Chao' supermarket, and in the other direction, you'll find the 'Sands Ocean' Outlets, a large shopping mall with many dining options.
Overall, this apartment hotel is surrounded by wide, quiet roads. In your free time, you can take a stroll by Suzhou Bay. It's truly refreshing to spend your vacation here.

GGuest UserThis was an incredibly satisfying stay! The environment is lovely, and the upgraded lake-view room offered breathtaking scenery. It was wonderful to leave the curtains open at night and see the changing views throughout. Suzhou Four Seasons really impressed me with their attention to detail. When I called ahead, I mentioned we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and the room was beautifully decorated on the day – I was so touched. That night, I even found 'Happy Anniversary' embroidered on the pillow corners – it really warmed my heart. The breakfast the next morning was another highlight. The dishes were exquisite, the food delicious, and everything was freshly prepared with great care. The mini wontons were excellent (unlike the frozen ones I've had at two other Banyan Tree hotels in Suzhou, which were quite disappointing). Freshly baked xiao long bao, egg tarts, and pineapple buns were offered by servers who went table to table. I tried the xiao long bao and egg tarts, and both were fantastic. It was also very thoughtful that breakfast was served until 11 am. All the hotel staff were very kind and polite, though they seemed a little reserved. Honestly, there's no need to be – you've already made a great impression on your guests! A truly wonderful memory!

HHeheThe hotel is located in Wujiang district, by a beautiful, expansive lake. We were upgraded to a scenic room in the main building because our original lakeside villa room was under maintenance. The room was large, clean, tidy, and well-equipped, with a comfortable balcony offering a partial lake view. The breakfast spread was comprehensive, and we particularly enjoyed the seasonal 'daoyu' (swordfish) wontons, which were incredibly delicious. The hotel's service was excellent; they were very responsive to all our requests and even established WeChat contact with guests to proactively inquire about and introduce tourist needs. Shuttle carts between buildings made getting around very convenient.

GGuest UserI rarely leave bad reviews for hotels or guesthouses on Ctrip, and this hotel's front desk service was excellent. The staff were incredibly patient in helping me with deliveries and carrying my belongings, which made me feel it was worth the money. However, on the first day of our stay, an elderly family member fell on a ramp on the fourth floor. Do you understand what it means for someone over seventy to fall squarely on a ramp? Their hips, lower back, elbows, and even bones are fragile. I noticed there were warning signs next to the stairs, but none at the ramp! Also, on the evening of the 24th, around 9 PM, the key cards for both our rooms were deactivated, preventing us from entering. Although someone came to open the door about ten minutes later, my seventy-something-year-old family member had to stand in the hallway for nearly ten minutes. Why would the key cards suddenly stop working before the check-out time? Was it a mistake in the check-in process, or something else? I don't know. The hotel staff who helped with our luggage brought Red Flower Oil and Hao De Kuai spray immediately, but the elder's elbow was grazed and bleeding, so the spray couldn't be used. After that, no one else came to follow up. Based on these two points alone, I can only say that paying over 10,000 for this stay felt like a very high price.

KkachuyuhThe ambiance is wonderfully peaceful, far from the hustle and bustle, making it a perfect spot to unwind and clear your mind. While the resort isn't overly large, simply enjoying the lake views and taking leisurely strolls each day was incredibly pleasant. The only downside was the intense heat during our stay, which limited our ability to explore for extended periods.
**Cleanliness:** Everything was spotlessly clean. The pool water was also meticulously maintained, seemingly refreshed with each new booking, which was impressive.
**Facilities:** We stayed in a 2-bedroom unit. The layout of the upstairs bedroom felt more practical and well-designed. Downstairs, however, the bathroom lacked a separate wet and dry area, making the room quite humid after a shower, although thankfully a dehumidifier was provided. The tatami mat in the lounge area was very spacious, large enough to comfortably sleep two additional people.
**Service:** The service was excellent and very responsive. Our room was promptly serviced on the second day. A special thank you to our butler, Adrian!
**Minor Drawback:** The only slight drawback was perhaps the dining options. After trying two meals, we'd recommend sticking to the Western menu, as the Chinese food, in particular, offered quite poor value for money.

GGuest UserThe hotel has everything to have a great journey. It's clean, the room are spacious and beautiful. I had always get a warm welcome from the employees at the entrance. I stayed 2 weeks there.
The breakfast is great with many choices.
The gym has everything you need but some equipments are a bit old or in bad condition. It can be busy the evening.
Also there is a mall next, with many restaurants inside. And a massage center in front by crossing the street (foot massage must be tried during your stay)
Laundry service is really expensive (I paid around 80 USD for a small size machine)

DdyhxThe hotel has its own onsen area that's open to non-hotel guests. So the entrance starts with the shoe cabinets before reaching the front desk that serves both onsen day-use guests and hotel guests.
The Japanese themed room was luxurious. Very clean and impeccably maintained, good sound proofing I could hear a pin drop in the room. Double basins, Dyson hair dryer, bidet toilet bowl, standing shower and a huge zen sofa couch area by the window, complete with tea and chess set. Pity there's not much of a view out there. There's also no phone here, just a speaker by the bedside table or one can use WeChat to communicate with the front desk and of course robot deliveries.
Bed and pillow was too soft for my liking. Service is excellent and they even provide turn down service. I left the room for onsen and came back to a room where the curtains are drawn, a plate of fruits on the table, floor towel laid out in the shower area with the bath towel, originally under the basin, now hung on the door of the shower.
The stay package came with an Afternoon Tea set of fruits, desserts and crackers. The cheesecakes were meh but the pineapple tart made up for it. Fruits were fresh and yums.
In-house guests were given unlimited access to the Onsen and I took my time to enjoy it fully. It's a full Jap style onsen, meaning going fully naked. A rather small onsen with just 3 pools but the outdoor one was the best, soaking in 43 degrees pool in the cold. There's a chill out area outside including a lounge, meditation room and a movie-cum-reading room (what an irony though). They also have private onsen rooms for rent at additional costs.
Leisurely breakfast the next morning at 930am. Yes, I had to choose a specific hour to be at breakfast as it's a Jap bento set with a partial buffet (of noodles and porridge). Not outstanding for me.
But otherwise, it was 5* experience and I recommend this to anyone planning to come to Taicang to experience the onsen.

AAring172I chose Banyan Tree Suzhou for a high-intensity review during earnings season. I didn't have very high expectations before booking; I just wanted something quiet, clean, and with convenient dining. Driving here was incredibly easy – just stay in the left lane on the highway all the way. A big thank you to the hotel's hospitable ambassador, 'Alice Xiaoxiao,' who was very thoughtful and accommodating. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the beautiful Suzhou-style garden, especially the vibrant mix of red and green maple leaves. The hotel kindly upgraded my room, which I really appreciate. Photo 1 shows the delightful view from my bedroom. The hotel also offers various pillow types – down, memory foam, and firm foam – ensuring a good night's sleep. A spa treatment was a must, and as soon as masseuse Sophia started, I could tell she was a true professional. It was definitely worth experiencing, just as other reviewers had said.
