I must particularly praise the hotel's service. From check-in to check-out, the staff were consistently enthusiastic and responded to requests promptly. What's especially noteworthy is how friendly the staff were towards pets, proactively addressing the needs of guests traveling with animals. This was the most satisfying aspect of my stay.
Cons: Details Need Improvement, Experience Compromised
1. **Hardware Shortcomings:** The soundproofing isn't very good. I could easily hear doors closing in the hallway at night, which affected my sleep quality.
2. **Limited Dining Options for Pets:** Guests with pets are restricted to only a few tables near the front desk for dining, lacking a sense of exclusivity.
3. **Flawed Breakfast Registration Process:** There was no one at the restaurant entrance to check guests in. An auntie suddenly approached me to ask for my room number while I was getting food. After I had settled down with my food, I went back into the restaurant for a drink and was asked again. The process is redundant and lacks proper standardization.
4. **Pet-Friendliness is Superficial:** Although pets are allowed and the staff are enthusiastic, designating only the area near the front desk for pet dining falls short of genuine ”pet-friendliness.”
Overall Impression
The professionalism of the service team and their pet-friendly attitude are commendable. However, the shortcomings in hardware facilities and service details are quite prominent. If the soundproofing could be improved, and especially if the pet dining area planning could be optimized and service procedures standardized, the overall experience would be significantly enhanced.

IInaRIt's a great house in an awesome location. However, it has not been looked after well. It's quite dirty (spinning webs in the room, toilet in the reception area is being used as ayi's cleaning room or where she would look after her personal hygiene - comb and cleaning utensils/towels placed on sink) and even though you can see some staff from time to time, they don't feel keen to interact with you. All the activities that we were sent, were not available (animal feeding - no animals, wine tasting - no wine) or we had to find out how to do them ourselves (drawing - most of the pens were dry. sunset walk - no one could efficiently explain where to go or point out direction on map). Lunch and denu menu is the same and very limited (also fries were sold out after the first night we stayed there), there were no cool drinks available. At breakfast menu there was a station where staff should make fresh fried egg but there was no staff. No one asked if we wanted tea or coffee or was there to help with anything. In the morning, the table was still the same like we left it after dinner. All in all, it was very chaotic and felt more like an airbnb than a hotel experience.

GGuest UserSuzhou Xishan Xixili Hotel is truly amazing! The environment is serene and elegant, with breathtaking scenery. You can see the beautiful Taihu Lake right from your window, and in the evening, you can enjoy a stunning sunset directly from the hotel – the ambiance is absolutely perfect. The service is also incredibly thoughtful and attentive; the staff, both the ladies and the gentlemen, are warm, friendly, and always smiling, which made us feel so welcome. They even prepared a thoughtful souvenir for us when we left, showing great attention to detail. We had a comfortable stay and a wonderful trip; everyone was very satisfied. Highly recommend!

QQingqingxinxin616Overall, it exceeded my expectations. Last time I came for a hot spring bath, this time for an overnight stay, and staying overnight is definitely more cost-effective – it's like getting two days of hot spring access plus accommodation. The room was much more spacious than I imagined, the facilities were good, and the scent was lovely; I wanted to buy it from the hotel, but they don't sell it... They gave me three sachets, which I appreciate 🙏 I still hope they'll sell it in the future! The hotel was also very clean. I arrived late on the first day, and the staff were almost off duty. They showered and bathed in the hot springs just like us, which made me feel very at ease. The private hot tub on the second day was also very clean, and the fee was reasonable.
The hotel food was also good, except for the breakfast. There were plenty of choices for dinner and lunch, which was convenient if you didn't want to order takeout. As for the hot springs, they are the best in Shanghai recently, no doubt about it. I highly recommend visiting, and I'll be a frequent guest myself.
Downsides: Breakfast was terrible. I would have preferred a bowl of wontons or small wontons. Also, the air conditioning in the hallway on the sixth floor was a bit too cold; it was a little chilly when wearing a bathrobe.

MM509155****After much searching on various platforms, this hotel always stuck in my mind, and I finally made it here just before the New Year ended, fulfilling that long-held wish.
Its charm is truly beyond words; I just felt pure joy in every way. This place was designed personally by the owner. The serene elegance of a Japanese garden is present in every plant and tree, while the relaxed comfort of a Chinese tea house lets you set aside all your worldly worries. All amenities for food, drink, and entertainment are available: soak in a hot spring to warm up, or sing karaoke to your heart's content. It’s perfect whether you're looking for some peace and quiet alone or gathering friends for a company team-building event.
What truly touched me were the wonderful ladies who assist guests. They are genuinely warm and hospitable locals, and their caring greetings and farewells, from my arrival to my departure, left a deep impression on me.
And of course, it's absolutely fantastic for photos.
I sincerely recommend everyone come and experience this place.

1110153****A clean and affordable hot spring hotel with few guests. The service attitude was genuinely excellent – friendly, attentive, and patient. The hot springs were also good; the key is that there weren't many people, making for a very relaxing soak. Soaking in the winter is truly comfortable. We were warm and toasty, and it wasn't cold at all walking back from the outdoor pools.
The breakfast was abundant with plenty of choices.
However, a few complaints: The family room was advertised to have a sofa bed, but it was very small, only suitable for a child. Once unfolded, half was a hardboard and half a soft cushion, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. The shampoo and body wash provided for showering at the hot springs were quite low-quality, and there was no conditioner. Also, the changing room air conditioning was insufficient, so it was quite cold while changing clothes.

The butler, a lovely lady, upgraded our room again. And we even ran into Alice Xiaoxiao, the butler who assisted us during our stay last year – it was great to see her again! She proactively reached out before check-in to ask about our needs and was incredibly responsive to all our requests. The concierge service upon arrival was also very thoughtful.
The courtyards, lush greenery, and water features are beautifully designed, offering a new picturesque view at every turn. The views from our room were truly refreshing and invigorating! Kids' toiletries were fully stocked, and the complimentary soft drinks were of good quality, not just an afterthought. The hotel also offers free activities like Baduanjin (a traditional Chinese exercise), cocktail making, and night runs!
Overall, a very satisfying stay! Excellent value for money!
**Dining:** The hotel's Baiyun Restaurant is also fantastic. Even though dinner was a set menu from a group deal, every dish was surprisingly delicious! It's a perfect alternative to the Rongsheng Restaurant next door, where you often have to queue for two hours if you don't want to wait. They've changed breakfast to a mostly buffet style, which can sometimes mean colder food with a less-than-ideal texture. However, they still offer à la carte service upon request, which is great! And the champagne was delicious!
**Activities:** This trip, we came specifically to climb Lion Mountain, and we successfully reached the summit – the entire scenic area is very thoughtfully developed! Safety measures are also very well implemented! Whether looking out from the mountain or gazing at it from the hotel, it's a view within a view – perfect for photos! There are several well-designed buildings nearby, like museums and science centers, all within walking distance. The hotel key card provides direct access to Lion Mountain Park, and in the evening, they even offer transportation for a golf course tour. The park has added more activities since last year, including a mini-train, cycling, and boating. This year, we even tried kayaking – so much fun! We'll definitely be back next year!
Our sincere thanks to Alice Xiaoxiao, our butler, who made our first stay enjoyable and our second even more comfortable. Also, a big shout-out to the handsome concierge who helped with our luggage! The auntie providing turn-down service gave our child small gifts and drinks, and the three lovely ladies at the bar patiently taught us cocktail making… All the hotel staff made us feel so warm and welcome.

SSabina SteinmacherThe hotel was located at the lake with an amazing view. The rooms was really nice and super clean and the mattress was really comfortable to sleep very well. The facility of the hotel was nice and very stylish, all in white and modern. The hotel was really lovely. The only thing that is really not good organised, there is no food except breakfast and afternoon tea (in that case fruits). We needed to order from a delivery service (only Chinese food available and it's was not really good). A hotel located at that wonderful place with that high price should have basic foods at the restaurant.

VV1ndal00-K1nggreat little getaway for a night. We used the public hot springs, which had a good few to choose from and wasnt overcrowded. I would recommend to the hotel and other hot spring hotels, that they keep kids from splashing and to use the actual swimming pool even if its cold. Guests come to relax. Not to participate in hot spring kids swimming lessons. But everything else was good. There was also no restaurant available. We were taken on a short walk out of the hotel to a restaurant which seemed to be the only thing available. We only really went for the hot springs and luckily we had a private one that we could finally relax in. Would recommend.
