Sotetsu Fresa Inn Hotels in Tokyo

I stayed at the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Higashi Shinjuku Station for my New Year trip to Tokyo. First, the good points: The location is great, very close to the subway, and there are Lawson and 7-Eleven convenience stores nearby, as well as plenty of restaurants. Now, for the downsides: 1. I found a dirty towel in the bathroom (see picture 2), so the hygiene is a bit questionable. 2. The staff had me check in using a machine, and then, after pressing a few buttons, it prompted me to pay for the room again at the hotel... but I had already paid in Shanghai! So I had to start over, which wasted time. In the end, the staff just said 'sorry'... the service definitely needs improvement.

Facilities: Not brand new, but acceptable. It has a fridge, though the room is small. Cleanliness: Pretty good, acceptable. Environment: Decent, acceptable. Service: Excellent service! Check-in and check-out were smooth. The facial cleanser at the front desk was really good!

Overall I had a good stay and the location of the hotel is very convenient. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly. However, there were a few small things that could be improved. I noticed a dark stain on the bed when I checked in, which was a bit disappointing. Also, the room did not provide bottled mineral water. I understand the hotel promotes filtered water, but personally I still prefer having bottled water available. For the laundry facilities, the machines are cashless but they do not accept credit card payments. The online payment system also seems to mainly support users from China and Taiwan. It might be helpful if the hotel could consider installing a coin exchange machine to make it more convenient for other international guests. Breakfast was decent, but it would be nice to see a bit more variety in the options. Overall still a pleasant stay.

The front desk and housekeeping staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, and the location was convenient for getting around. However, due to the building's unique design and the lack of central air conditioning/heating, the room felt too cold in winter. Even with the air purifier and humidifier on, the room was still very dry, so I had to turn off the air conditioner at night. It was both cold and dry!!!

The room was quite clean, and I booked a non-smoking room. The location is convenient, with many restaurants and convenience stores downstairs, and the subway station is less than a five-minute walk away. The service was okay, and it was nice that toiletries like toothbrushes were self-service.

Very satisfied with my stay here. The hotel was clean and in a great location. It might be small, but it has everything you need. Shopping was convenient, and getting to Haneda Airport was a breeze – just a 10-minute walk to the Asakusa Line, and it's a direct 30-minute ride. It was also very easy to get to Ginza and Shinjuku via JR, taking about 30 minutes. They even arranged for my two rooms to be next to each other. I'll definitely stay at Sotetsu again next time!

A great hotel in the Ginza area. It is within walking distance of several train stations, making it easy to get around Tokyo. There are also convenience stores nearby, which was very convenient during my stay. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Stayed for 3 nights during my trip to Tokyo.

This area in Toyocho has a really vibrant local vibe. There's a convenience store right downstairs from the hotel, and a ramen shop across the street that's open late. Plus, there's a 100-yen shop nearby, so it's super convenient for shopping. The room isn't huge, but it has everything you need. The bedding is clean and comfortable, and the soundproofing is pretty good too. For Tokyo, the price is very reasonable for a hotel of this caliber, and the transportation is convenient – you can get to Asakusa and Tokyo Skytree without changing lines. Definitely great value for money.

The transportation here is incredibly convenient! You've got everything you need right outside the door – food, drinks, entertainment, you name it! Seriously, if you can think of it, you'll find it here. The convenience store downstairs is a bit small, but it still meets most guests' needs. And the ice cream? Absolutely worth getting one every single day!

We stayed in Sotetsu Freza inn for 5 nights. In a queen-bed room with 12squares space. Room is small. It’s understandable for Tokyo where land is premium. Has small window which can be opened about hand width for fresh air. No view other than building couple of feet away. However it’s well designed with everything you needed. Bathroom is a foot step up so be careful getting in and out. Basic amenities are ample, self collection from lobby in-front of reception. Individually controlled air conditioning which I was very pleased about. Coin laundry 2 in one washer and dryer. Simple breakfast for ¥600 is sufficient to get your day started. Lunch and snacks are also available for purchase from the same cafe till 2pm. Plenty of eateries nearby. Combines are everywhere. Bank close by. Train station 100meters away. 2 stops to Ginza or walk for 35mins. Tokyo station is walkable from hotel. I have rebooked for another five nights after a couple of days break visiting other parts of Tokyo. Weather is perfect spring time. With occasional rain.
