The hotel is very small, boutique, not busy and equipped with every luxury. The staff is ready to help you day and night. The service is good but the staff is so helpful and submissive that it almost feels uncomfortable. Breakfast is a la carte. You get two choices each time, very varied and with healthy options. Both the beach and swimming pool are very accessible. If you wish, the hotel also has additional facilities such as snorkeling with a guide (included). However, the hotel had a lot of problems with algae on the beach when we were there (in July). There is little they can do about it. It is cleaned regularly, but the accumulated algae is kept right next to the beach and then removed. The location is tricky. On the one hand, very remote and on a quiet beach with sufficient facilities. On the other hand, if you are looking for more variety and do not necessarily want to use the surrounding restaurants of "luxury" hotels, you also have to make some effort. Tulum center is fifteen minutes by car, which is not a problem, but the access road to the hotel ***** is extremely bumpy and full of deep holes. You have to make some effort to get out of there. The airport is also a 1.5 hour drive away, with a lot of beach traffic even in the early morning (7 am). If you want to use the restaurant, the price-quality ratio is debatable. We thought it was seriously overpriced because you paid 20 euros for very simple cocktails in plastic cups or hamburgers. If you don't mind that, you can have all kinds of food brought to your room. And finally, the whole setting looks more luxurious than it is. For the price-quality ratio, it should be mentioned that small details such as the TV that does not function properly or a slow internet connection do become important.

Beautiful views. Hotel’s aesthetics and vibe is total relaxed mixed with Mediterranean luxury. Service is excellent. When I arrived I had a bit of upset stomach, Janet one of the servers at the restaurant ordered for me hot ginger tea, she checked on us the next day. Felt so comfortable and relaxed. The restaurant is fresh kitchen and organic. It is delicious.

Everyone on the property was completely nice. The only complaint I have is how they charge for absolutely EVERYTHING! My 1st night I ordered the lamb and it was lamb leg, not what I thought or what I’m used too but of course I tried it, didn’t like it. Took one bite, asked the lady if I could change and she said of course but you still have to pay for this. So, I did but didn’t order anything else. Water $12! Everything is extremely high for no reason. Just understand that nothing is free or cheap.

A few weeks ago, my fianceé and I stayed at Nerea Tulum. While generally pleasant, a concerning incident marred our experience. Upon arriving on a Monday, we converted Euros to Pesos. The next day we left the hotel for our first activity in Cancun, and we took 1000 pesos each, leaving the rest in our room locker with other valuables. That evening, we unexpectedly found the locker reset, seemingly untouched. Yet, after entering my set password, the locker indicated "Unlocked" despite already being open. Alarmingly, we were short of 1600 pesos. Given that we had a precise account of the amount we carried, we were sure of this loss. We informed the staff, specifically Angeles, who assured us that the matter would be escalated to the manager. However, it took nearly a week before he, Luis Ramirez, addressed our concerns. Over a phone call, he dismissed our concerns, suggesting that the responsibility for the locker's contents was ours and not the hotel's. This response was not only disappointing but left us feeling unsafe and undervalued as guests. We want to emphasize the importance of being extra careful with your belongings while staying at this hotel. Our experience suggests that even the locker may not be a secure option. We were fortunate to notice the discrepancy due to our record-keeping on that first day; others might not be so lucky. Please be cautious and consider alternative safety measures for your valuables during your stay at Nerea Tulum.

My husband and I were purely sold on Nerea and making this our go-to getaway spot in Mexico, however upon our last day a staff member by the name of Ivan had lied and stole the fish we caught on our fishing tour. We instructed him to keep the fish in the freezer and we would take it back home with us. Instead he told the kitchen staff we said he could have it. It broke our hearts because we loved the location, our stay, and had a great time until the very last day we found out what Ivan had done. We made sure to tip and be friendly with staff however this was done to us. When we reached back home, I unpacked my luggage bag to find that all of my gold jewelry was stolen. This jewelry was never unpacked or left out in our room. We suspect whoever cleaned our room literally went inside our luggage and took all of my jewelry including a Kate Spade watch and bracelet. So beware. Even if you take the necessary precautions, never trust a smiling face.

Was a great secluded place with private beach and dock. Very peaceful. Pool/hot tub was nice, rooms were even nicer than the pictures, staff was very accommodating and friendly. We will book here anytime we come to Tulum in the future. I would say as far as food though they have great breakfast, but lunch/dinner I would go eat elsewhere. All in all excellent place though!

I was checks in early for I came in sick from the day before. Out of the three hotels I stayed on my 14 day stay this was May favorite. The room was great and clean. The swim up great. I recommend this property. And Brandon was a great help with Tv and over all a very respectful young man.
