Don't get me wrong, there were good points to this hotel but it was not worth the value for money. Firstly, the good points... All staff were very friendly and to me that's significantly important so a tick for that. The location is good, as it's central but that depends on where you'd like to stay. There is a great selection of restaurants a few blocks away and Yaletown is lovely trendy part of Vancouver. The hotel itself and the room was clean and tidy (more on this below). The shower was good and spacious. We arrived early and like most hotels were able to leave our bags until check in a few hours later. I was asked to join Accor Rewards for free which I did because it allowed us to have a late checkout. Now the not so great points... We weren't able to check in until 3pm which, although not unheard of, is later than most. We were to receive a text advising when our room was ready for an earlier check in, however did not hear from them until we went back after 3pm to check in. I'd requested a quiet room and it was to the rear with a small window that opened slightly into a filthy back patio type area. For me this wasn't an issue as I figured it would be a quiet room away from street noise. However in one of the rooms next yo us they must have been doing some sort of renovations as at 6.30am there was drilling and hammering noises that definitely didn't associate with a quiet room. The room was very small with a large corner of it cut off, I imagine to accommodate one of the three adjoining rooms next door. That left a very small area to get through from one side of the bed to the other side of the room. My partner tripped over because of it, and in the middle of the night, I banged my shoulder on the wall when going to the bathroom. If I can post photos here, I will. The bed was small (good for snuggling but not so great if snuggling isn't your thing). The tv was off to the side so not so ergonomically great. The price, for me was excessive for what was offered. Yes, I know this was cruise ship season, but I believe it's price gouging. I don't like that very much. The final thing that I wasn't particularly happy with was the holding fee of CAD$250 that can take a month to be returned to me. We stayed at a few hotels on the trip and all took a holding fee ranging between $10 and $100 but $250 is exorbitant, especially for a one night stay and no immediate return of the funds upon checking out. Yes, I am aware that may come down to the banking industry rorting other people's funds as they have them on hold until deciding to return but I am waiting on a significant amount of money to be returned from various banks (all of which will come back because there is nothing to be charged), but the holding amount for a one night stay. In my opinion is disgusting. Will I stay here again? No, I will not, u less of course, I have no other option.

The hotel is located close to shopping and restaurants, modern design and clean spaces, the service was really good, Ayush was super helpful and professional, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious! We would stay again next time when in the area.

Great, Little boutique hotel, heart of the Granville entertainment district. Three nostalgic concert halls. The Vogue Orpheum and the fabulous Commodore ballroom. Numerous other pubs and cabaret. The “Roxy” just up the road. But the really reason for leaving this review of the customer service levels received. I want to say thank you to Erica at the front desk for pointing myself in the proper directions and accommodating enthusiastically to any help that I needed. Thank you very much Balmont and Erica in particular. Thanks!

100% would recommend this hotel to someone wanting a short stay in Vancouver city. The staff and service are exceptional always catering to the guests needs. Our room each day was serviced beautifully, such an amazing house keeping team. The living room restaurant next door connected with the hotel is amazing too they have happy hour every day , live trivia nights and gorgeous tapas and dinner food options. The staff there are always very lovely. If I ever return to Vancouver I will 100% be staying here! Regards Lexie beauchamp

Very cool hotel in a trendy / lively neighborhood. The stay was very memorable as met some fellow Belgians who also stayed here. Definitely will stay again next trip to Vancouver. Pros: - Very friendly staff, especially front-desk Priscilla; Living Room restaurant staff Faith, a tall guy with really suave hair, and the bartender from Saskatchewan; the French-speaking Basement club bartender and all the doormen. - The Smashburger was extremely tasty. The fries were of top quality (which is hard to find outside of Belgium). - Really nice shower in the room and great toiletries. - Walking distance to most major things in Vancouver. Neighborhood also has decent food & bar options. It is not boring like the Waterfront area. Cons: - Rooms are very compact. They are more European sized rather than North American sized. - Noise can be a problem. Had some party people on the floor who made too much noise, as well as using the very loud ice machine at 4 in the morning.
