When I first saw the beautiful yellow house on top of the hill with its long front porch and rocking chairs, I felt excited. Was it as pretty on the inside as it was on the outside? Yes! When I eagerly opened the side door, I was immediately greeted by the delicious aroma of baking sweets and a charming man named Chad who greeted us as though we were already his favorite guests. I wandered around trying to take everything in - the colorful and tasteful fall décor, the gorgeous and cozy library, the huge bedroom with a wide bank of windows and a fireplace and – the mountain views! This place had everything we could ever want. Chad explained how everything worked and he showed us where the snacks were. There was so much attention to detail. So many added touches. Such personal service. (Chad was always available on the property.) We came in search of a quiet, peaceful retreat and we got it. This is what a traditional bed and breakfast should look like and be like. It was superb in every way.

Welcoming interiors, impeccably decorated to reflect the period of the house. Large wrap around porch looking out over the forested 2acres surrounding the house. Many common areas to hang out in including a library and den with a TV. Beautiful dining room with China cabinet. Rooms are spread out, luxury linens. Our suite had fireplace, sitting area, wet bar, bath with delightful jacuzzi tub. We ordered a charcuterie board and bottle of wine which was waiting in our room. Butlers pantry is stocked for guests with snacks, waters, coffee/tea, sodas. Breakfast was amazing, hot and fresh, beautiful presentation, and delicious. Can’t wait to return when we travel that way.

A quiet historic B&B with breakfasts that are different, organic from what I can tell and service that is second to none. Located just minutes from Waynesville and the Blue Ridge Parkway this location is ideal for those who want a retreat from the city life and offers and opportunity to take in the beauties of nature. Fine restaurants are in plenty supply. Absolutely great!

My husband and I both agree our stay at The Yellow House on Plott Creek Road to be one of the most relaxing and restful stays we've experienced. We stayed in the Kinsale suite in the Pond House. From here we thoroughly enjoyed our view of the pond and its residents - ducks and Canadian geese. The breakfasts we were served demonstrated the thought and care in taste, texture, and serving size. A favorite of ours was the butler pantry that is open to guests where we could grab tea and coffee while waiting for breakfast. The location is not far off the beaten path and underscores the quiet surroundings. From our initial welcome to our goodbyes, the proprietors made us feel welcomed and valued. The Yellow House is on our list to return to.

This house is beautiful, peaceful and the staff raises the quality with an attentive kindness. The breakfasts are made with great care and delicious. The touches of having spaces for couple, groups or single to find a peaceful corner. A heart felt Thank you to Chad for the loving reception/advice on dinners, activities and care throughout my stay.

This is the best vacation place we have been to. I always look forward to going and hate to leave. Chad, Dena and other staff make it so welcoming. All of the little touches to the room, living areas of home and breakfast couldn't be any better! Can't wait to go back!

The pillows at the Yellow House are fluffy and the sheets are so comfy. Great snacks, water, coffee and tea in the Butler’s pantry. The Innkeeper’s are extremely nice. We stayed the Patriots Quarters and loved that room! It rained most of the time of our visit so we didn’t get to spend time outside on the property like we had hoped but we still enjoyed our stay!
