Dilworth Inn

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! First with the one negative comment: The bed was extremely firm, which was not good for my bad back as I have a physical disability.. Now to all the positives: When I arrived, I discovered they had put me in a room on the third floor and there is no elevator. I explained my physical situation and they were very kind and quick to find me an accessible room on the first floor. They then went above and beyond to help me unload all my luggage from my car and bring it into the room! The staff here are incredibly friendly, kind and helpful! The roo. Was very spacious and clean! The continental breakfast, while not the most fancy food, had a large selection to choose from (hot and cold) and was more than sufficient to start each day with! Last, but certainly not least, their pool and hottub are phenomenal ( totally alleviated the back pain from the firm bed! It is open 9am-10pm, so I could enjoy it multiple times throughout the day! I would definitely recommend this hotel and I am sure I'll be back!

We had a great time in Victoria. We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. We enjoyed our room.Eventhough the building is old construction, the room was comfortable, upgraded, and we enjoyed the rain shower head as well as the bed. Very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. I liked they had a coffee machine with many types of hot drinks. I really enjoyed my cappuccino. Above all the staff was very friendly. Mr Sam was very accomodating when we used the shuttle service. He even drove us to a bank downtown. We were very happy with this hotel overall. We really recommended it.
Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites Kamloops

The room is amazingly clean. The 2 double beds and pillows are very comfortable. However, the single bed is sagging and made a lot of noise when you turn. Price is very reasonable. The bathroom fan is very weak. The Motel’s restaurant, the Hideout Cafe, only opens at 8:00 am which I think is a bit late for travellers. If bathroom fan and restaurant open hours can improve, this is overall a very good motel.

Mistakenly thought this was Pacific Crest hotel. Very standard 50/60s looking hotel. No A/C. Loud neighbors (with crying child for hours). View of back parking zone and bright security light. Breakfast was basic. Good commercial muffins. Nothing really wrong but not a place to seek out.
Vedder River Inn

When I entered the room, I put a comforter from home on the bed, covered all carpet with waterproof pads, used a ”fencing” to prevent my 2 dogs from being able to even get near the bed and they slept in their crates. We were only there to sleep and nothing else as we left before 7 every morning and back at bed time. The first morning I had a shower and water got on the bathroom floor. I wiped it up with a towel and it was black. That day I went to the store and purchased Lysol wipes and cleaned the bathroom floor that night. We found two bobby pins, a hair elastic and a ball of human hair. The pillow smelled like ”sardines”. When we checked out, I made sure I mentioned it to the desk clerk so that she would make sure that it was cleaned a bit better. (Never mind no internet and TV was grainy and old but we didn't care as we weren't there much). Low and behold I get a call on the day of checkout that they are keeping my $200 deposit (I had already paid a $50 pet fee!). They sent me a picture of a couple hairs on the white sheet. Nothing else to justify these ”damages” and reason for keeping the deposit! I sent pictures of all of the stuff that I used to protect their room. Denied the refund! Read the reviews and notice that this is the experience of many people on here.
Recreation Inn and Suites

This is a great place to stay for a very reasonable rate. I booked and stayed at the Recreation Inn for 8 nights. My room was very clean and comfortable. I had a mini fridge and microwave in the room. All the amenities were supplied - hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap. Coffee and tea as well as juice and a continental breakfast each morning. Very friendly staff who were ready to help with any problem. Laundry on site as well. Excellent location, being close to all shopping and restaurants. A great experience.

I visited this motel in the winter. The oustside looked a little tired but it was a gloomy day. The reception area is nice and cozy with a sitting area in front of a warming fireplace. The reception staff was friendly and courteous. They let me check in early with no hassle. They also printed something for me, no hassle, no charge. The room was up to date and clean. I was somewhat impressed. The property has an indoor pool which I didn't use, but heard kids going down the hall to enjoy it. Quite enjoyed my stay.

The gentleman who checked us in was wonderful; he answered all my questions and gave excellent advice on walking trails in the area. I had to ask him to trust that I would have an item returned after I checked out and he accepted on faith and without asking for any kind of deposit or other assurance that the item would be returned. I love that there are people in the world who take others at their word. It seems to be a rare attribute these days. Thanks for making my day!

I will start by saying that we stay in DC each year at the same time. They’re all equally as expensive and a terrible rip off for what they are and what the town has to offer. We have stayed at almost every hotel in DC and this one was the absolute worst. I always make sure that we can reserve a room with a pull out couch for our daughter to sleep on in a separated area so she is able to go to sleep at a normal time while allowing the adults to also go to sleep at a normal time. I called almost two months in advance and found a room that was perfect for us. The front desk was kind enough to go into the room to make sure it was the correct one as they don’t have many of them. I then gave them my CC and reserved the room for two nights. We arrived at the hotel and they have let me know that our room has been given away and has been in use for a month and will continue to be used. I was mad. I was super nice to the front desk lady as it was not her fault but I was mad. She then tells me they can give me a free dinner and a discount on the room. I tell her that is fine and all but we now don’t have a space for our daughter to sleep. The room didn’t even have a pull out couch. They basically told me that even though I did everything in my power to secure the hotel room we needed that they don’t hold true to their reservations and that we’re screwed. We were never given a free dinner and were offered $22 off our entire stay. I was disgusted. To top it off the reviews on this hotel give it a “don’t judge a book by its cover” feel. DO judge this book by its cover. The hotel was absolutely disgusting. Stained. Stunk. Our bathtub didn’t plug didn’t close. And then it clearly needs to be cleaned because the water would pool around your ankles when you had a shower. The furniture was disgusting and I didn’t want to touch any of it to my bare skin. I made sure we all slept fully clothed each night. We didn’t pull the sheets down to sleep under the covers. None of the coffee lids fit the cups in the room nor the lobby. Spilled coffee everywhere. To top off our horrible stay I was woken up by loud yelling at 3am to look outside and see the cops taking some character into their vehicle. They allowed him to scream and yell with their door open. Then the ambulance came and more chaos ensued. This hotel has its normal rig workers in it but also seemed to cater to junkies. I honestly was horrified and hated that we had no other option while with our child. The front desk girl claimed to have pull within the hotel but clearly didn’t and was zero help in the end. She was polite but didn’t seem concerned with any of my concerns. The one positive about this hotel is the breakfast. The waitress was extremely polite and very nice. Food was good. But not good enough to have me ever stay again. DC is an absolute hole of a town and it would be wonderful if they had a few hotels that weren’t absolutely disgusting. I will be contacting the owner of the hotel as the manager off
