We’re doing a road trip from Hangzhou to Wuzhen then to Shanghai for recently and I must admitted staying at Wuzhen Homestay was our best decision. We only for a night but from checking in to checking out Homestay Staff was extremely helpful and friendliness that I have ever encountered. There’s a language barrier yet it didn’t stopped us from communicating. We booked a family which resided at the very end of Wuzhen Xizha (79A) but believe me it’s worth the walk. One could take a shuttle but we opted to stroll the main Xizha Street. Pending on your taste of food, breakfast from Xizha Homestay was one of the best we had. Very flavor full and size was more than I would imagine. Luggages were transferred from and to front desk for us. While we were checking out, the staff was helping to carry our heavy luggage down the staircase. We offered a gratitude but the staff declined. After several attempts, the staff finally accepted. Overall, I highly recommend Wuzhen Homestay for those whose want to stay in Wuzhen Xizha. We definitely will comeback and stay here again!

We got there with no online reservation, and the stuff didn’t care for us at all, they treated us poorly like they didn’t see us, no good customer service at all. We went out and made reservation online (trip.com) and when we came back in everything was different, they were nice and the check-in process was very quick. The room was clean (except the bathtub). One of the rooms, had a living room without chairs. The bed was really comfortable. The view was ok (but we didn’t come for the view). Overall it was ok, but I was disappointed on how we were treated just because we didn’t book the rooms online.

Superb location next to Wulin street. Many places to eat. Slightly hard to get taxi into the front of the hotel as the pavement is jam with cars and pedestrian and it’s a dead end. Room is decent and sufficient for 2 pax.

The hardware facilities in the room are excellent. There are a washing machine and a dryer, as well as a gym. It's very convenient. L The air in the room is very fresh and odorless. The hygiene of the room is also very clean. The hotel's parking lot is also very large, making parking very convenient. I recommend staying here.

Location very near Gulou Metro Line 2 and easy access from the airport. Hotel just outside Exit A just beside ATOUR Hotel, surrounded by restaurants and very near underground shopping area and Drum Tower shopping street. Room is clean and comfortable but the breakfast is very plain and simple not worth to pay additional 20RMB for it. Will stay again here on my next visit

Excellent 8-Night Stay – Great Location and Service We stayed at Shangri-La Yiwu for 8 nights, coming from Romania, and had a wonderful experience overall. Our room had a beautiful view of the river, which made the stay even more relaxing after long days of work. The location is ideal — just a short drive from the Yiwu International Trade Center, making it perfect for business travelers. The hotel is modern, very clean, and the service throughout our stay was consistently professional and attentive. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of both Western and Asian options, fresh ingredients, and great coffee. Housekeeping did a fantastic job every day, and all the staff we interacted with were polite and helpful. We would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Yiwu, especially for business purposes.

My stay at the hotel was brief but I enjoyed nonetheless. I went to the wrong side of the hotel upon my arrival and so when I saw no one there, I was worried I would not be able to check in. When I called the front desk, number 82 (小文) went above and beyond to help me. Her English was not good and so was my Chinese but she improvised and used a translator over the phone and even WeChat just to help me to find the lobby. When she finally figured out where I was, she came to meet me and even brought my bag for me to the lobby. Everything went smoothly afterwards. 小文 was exceptional! The epitome of excellent customer service! Please give that lovely lady a raise or better yet, give her a promotion!

NNickRZHotel room not too bad, had a problem with the TV but phoned and it got fixed quickly. Bed is comfortable. Shower is warm and powerful. Not much noise outside from other hotel guests. View outside is a city view so looked out onto Hangzhou Tower. Top floor has view of West Lake which is nice. A little disappointed to find Thai restaurant (Sawasdee) in the hotel serving Chinese food when we were really looking for a range of Thai food, so went to the buffet instead which was nice and had a good range of food, drink and desserts for dinner. Flight out was at 630am, so happy that the hotel arranged a very early wake up call, quick check out and a taxi arranged for 4am. Quite satisfied with the service.

SShane CanadianA very nice and spacious room with a comfortable bed and a great open view of the park and the mountains. The rooms have modern controls for the lights as well as motorized curtains, which made for convenience both when going to sleep and waking up in the morning. It was also nice that a phone charging cable with the three different adapters was provided. The bathroom is spacious and has a large sink and shower. It is nice that the shower has a choice of rainfall or regular nozzle. The shower controls were also very modern and you merely pushed the button for your preferred shower method. It seemed that the guest before me was unaware of this and had broken the temperature control and not reported it to the hotel. The front desk was quick to send a repair person who was very thorough in fixing the control. While the shower had good water pressure, it seemed at peak times that there was not enough hot water as the shower temperature was just slightly warm. To get a hot shower, I had to wait until late in the afternoon or late at night. The checkin was fast and the attendant was kind enough to honour my request for a non-smoking room on a high floor. The lobby is spacious with a nice tea area. It is also convenient to have a Starbucks inside the hotel. However, it was a bit noisy as other guests were not always mindful of the calibre of hotel they were in, which ranks in the 5 star category. It was difficult to try to get some work done with people playing videos loudly on their phones, talking on speaker phone or kids running around. This really took away from what should be a calming space. While the hotel attendants tried to maintain order, it really was a losing battle for them. The location is really dependent on what you are looking for. I found it nice to have the open park view but there are not many interesting restaurants around. For the middle eastern food, you need to bike about 1.5km. This was fine when the weather was good, but it was not convenient during the latter part of my stay when it rained all day. A few things to be aware of when booking. The breakfast was large with a lot of options but it really is a Chinese style breakfast. To call it Western and Chinese is quite misleading as there were only a few Western options, such as omelets. There is a great large screen television in the room, but only 2 or 3 English channels with the others in Chinese. There is a shuttle bus to the market, but it was a bit disappointing to learn that it only runs twice per day. The main area for the hotel to work on is its consistency of service. Some of the employees were outstanding but there seems to be a need for additional training. For example, the room came with a complimentary daily minibar, but I had to ask each day for it to be refilled. This was quite embarrassing to do, especially when the stocking was just some soft drinks with a single Tsingtao beer. Also, when I was in the toilet, one of the chefs walked out without washing his hands. While he may have washed them (hopefully) when he returned to the kitchen, he should be sure to wash them in front of guests. Lastly, the pool and fitness area seemed to require special access and the people working at the desk for the pool made me feel very uncomfortable when I wanted to see the facilities, so I just left and did not return. This was particularly disappointing because one of the reasons I booked the hotel was for these facilities. Overall it is a very nice hotel and I would book it again. But additional employee training would be appropriate so the service does not take away from what is a high quality hotel.

UUntamedFootprintsThe hotel is located quite close to subway station, about 5-10 min walk. The two bedside table lights can’t be individually controlled. When one is switched on, the other switch on as well. It’s inconvenient when one wishes to sleep and the other wishes to read. The window (on the window panel) can’t be closed. The traffic noise can be heard constantly. The room is warm. So in order to sleep, the heater must be switched off. Then the cold seeps into the room and it becomes too cold. The highest few floors (of the hotel) are commercial offices. Hotel guests not only have to share the lift with them, but also we the hotel staff. I suspect that there aren’t any cargo or staff elevators. This is extremely inconvenient when you wish to use the elevators during office peak hours. Breakfast is on the 15th floor. The food is average but soy milk is nice. The toilet bowl is heated and auto-flush. Nice. There’s also a user-friendly control panel which works well. The shower cubicle has two floor traps. So the water flow is fast. Very good.

GGuest UserI was traveling around the country, and today I passed by Jinhua. I happened to stay at their house for one night. I saw that everyone's ratings were pretty good, and the comments and other things were all good, so I chose to stay for one night. I didn't expect it to be quite good. Their facilities and equipment are very complete, the room is clean and tidy, and there is nothing. The smell and toiletries are also OK. The room temperature, sound insulation and water pressure are all good. The product is impeccable. Well, the environment around the hotel is beautiful. Thank you. GGuest UserSpecial thanks to the concierge Peter and Shuke for their thoughtful service! Peter took the initiative to upgrade our one-bedroom suite, which faces the night view of Yongxin River, and hand-painted the best shooting routes around. When we adjusted our schedule temporarily on rainy days, the Moon Lake View Cafe he recommended unexpectedly became the highlight of the trip. Shuke's service was meticulous: • He took the initiative to contact the courier and disinfected it for us in person • He remembered our coffee preferences and took the initiative to inform the store of discounts • When we were catching an early flight, he prepared a warm breakfast at 5 o'clock Their service was not overly enthusiastic, but they always solved practical problems at critical moments, making our travel worry-free and warm.

GGuest UserOur party of 3 adults spent 3 nights at the Fuchun Mountain Golf Resort in early 12/2024.  We came to Fuchun to see the scenaries that had inspired the famous 富春山居圖 painting.  We booked 2 basic rooms (Linyin Garden View), but received free upgrades (Guizhou Lake View) at check in.  I must admit our initial feelings as we arrived was one of creeping doubt, because the Fuyang city streets we had driven through (we drove in from the Hangzhou Xihu area) were very industrial, just giant factories one after another and the immediate area outside the property was just a bunch of small suburban farm homes and shops.  Furthermore, as our car pulled up to the front lobby entrance, no one greeted us.  Not a soul was in sight.  Our driver had to poke his head inside and announce guests are here and service is needed.  From there on, however, things only got better and better.  So, yes, this was a quiet property.  There wasn’t a lot of staff standing about.  But, there was enough personnel to provide all the basic services expected.  And I found they were very friendly, quick to respond, and efficient.  During our 3.5 days here, we explored and enjoyed this beautiful hotel inside and out.  The hotel itself (the main building) was simply grand.  Its design and decor was a perfect balance of East Meets West, modernized traditional, understated elegance.  The layout was a bit of a labyrinth.  There were wings, corridors, and stairs you can go down to find restaurants, spa/gym/pool, conference rooms, sitting nooks, a small boat dock, and even an impressive collection of embroidery art on display.  Our rooms were large and airy, spotless, the ceiling was high, and the windows opened onto the lake.  The bathroom was spacious with a double sink and lots of counter space.  Beds and pillows were very comfortable, definitely in line with 5 star international standards.  Outside, there was a man-made lake with 2 groups of swans (or were they white geese?).  They crisscrossed the lake during the day and slept below our windows at night.  There was also a little children’s playground (with a pair of ducks) and what looked like a small amphitheater.  Several short paths allowed us to walk the sizable grounds.  Early one morning, we followed one across a little brook to the edge of the tea terrace.  Another morning, we strolled down a road flanked by bamboo that led to the beautiful villas that stood apart from the main hotel.  Everywhere, the atmosphere was tranquil and the views spectacular.  We ate most of our meals at the hotel since we were unfamiliar with the area and didn’t really want to go out looking (this was the end of a 2 week trip).  We tried both of the restaurants on-site (the Chinese and the Western/Fusion) and thought they were fine overall, since food/ingredients were fresh and of good quality.  Taste and craft were okay, not great but acceptable.  In truth, we were probably not too demanding at this point, as we had already gorged out during our previous stay in the HZ/Xihu area.  In summary, our family really liked the Fuchun Mountain Golf Resort.  We were very comfortable during our short stay.  We really appreciated the quiet calmness of the place as well as the warm service provided by the entire staff.  We would love to return.  It was an easy car ride from the HZ city area, and it was easy to hire cars to nearby and more distant attractions.  Lastly, for those interested in the 富春山居圖, there is a replica of the painting (both parts and to scale) displayed downstairs in the spa :)

CChomiczOverpriced family hotel with outstanding views but room for improvement. I reserved the room a week before arrival, which meant the room rate was almost 2000 RMB a night. At this price, I was expecting excellence and arrived to mediocrity. I travelled with a Chinese friend and when we arrived, although the room was booked in my name, they chose to speak to my companion. When I tried to speak, the staff smiled condescendingly and then continued to talk to my friend. I was surprised to receive xenophobic behaviour in modern China, especially since I can converse in Chinese and there are many translation and AI chatbots to assist with communication. We walked to the room and on inspection we discovered the door hinge was broken, dust and hair on the floor, hair on the mattress which was accompanied by a yellow stain (photos 3-7). As the staff couldn't communicate in English, I messaged Trip.com and decide to resolve the issues the following day. The staff had been informed of the poor quality of the check-in and the cleanliness of the room and offered to upgrade us to their sister hotel, Banshanyinzhu Resort. The view from the room (photo 1 & 2) was stunning and the room looked pristine how on inspection the room had not been deep cleaned since either its construction or refurbishment with dust in the high shelves, on the shower head, sawdust behind the bedhead, leftover building materials under both sinks (photo 8-11). We informed the hotel, as we had been given a WeChat, and they came to witness the simple inspection. They offered to move us again but as this was our last night and we chose to stay based upon the views and then went to dinner which the hotel offered as part of compensation for the previous night. Arriving at the restaurant, uncleanness was concurrent theme (photos 12-14) with the dishes not being clean and the lazy suzanne not being wiped down. Fortunately the completely meal for two was well portioned and seasoned (photos 15-18). After a filling and tasty meal, I had a shower and felt a slight pain on my foot to discover that the nails attaching the carpet protruded through and some flooring was broken causing a minor scratch. All of this could have been avoided had the staff been more diligent. Did I overpay? Yes Was the service mediocre? Yes Are these challenges easy to overcome? Yes Have other customers made similar complaints? Yes Will the hotel improve? I hope so Is the location memorable andbeautiful? Yes Would I revisit? Yes Regardless of the fact they have some untrained and unprofessional employees and they need to improve their cleaning standard and ensure that maintenance does a proper inspection after a fit and finish, the location is great and it's very easy to get into the park. It's very family orientated and I'm sure children could make lifelong friends here. If you're considering going, I'd highly recommend price watching. It's not a perfect product so don't overpay, like I did, and expect a 5☆ experience.

IIntrepid Traveller8Lovely hotel in the middle of West Creek/ Xixi National Wetlands Park in Hangzhou. The hotel and service offerings are excellent, located in a very secluded spot away from the hustle and bustle, great for relaxation and enjoying the serene and tranquil surroundings. There is a small lake in the middle of the hotel, which I understand is owned and managed by the hotel. The views are wonderful and better than going to the famed West Lake (way too touristy and crowded). I think this hotel has a lot going for it, even though it’s not a known brand. I would say some things for improvement are as follows: Must, must open a spa. AmanFayun, Banyan Tree, Anh Luh and Four Seasons all have spa’s and they’re at roughly the same price point. This wasn’t a deal breaker for me, but for some people this would put them off from booking here. Gym. This place needs an on-site gym for obsessed exercise freaks like me (and other health obsessives that want to go to an all-inclusive resort). Also, with the yummy high calorie food offerings in the restaurant, I would like to work those calories off and not worry about getting home fatter than when I left! Restaurant – Excellent service from the wonderful manager, who I forgot to ask her name and all her staff. Very good manners from all the staff, very quiet voices, barely can hear them speak amongst themselves. However there needs to be more of an international offering for people that visit from outside China (US/ Europe, India/ South East Asia/ Gulf countries, who all would probably stay here in the future). There should be another restaurant that offers international fayre, as well as the traditional Chinese restaurant, so both sets of visitors are catered for, and more choice is always good for people that stay longer than 3 days. And vegetarian/ vegan options would be very appreciated. The “Savoir resort” is not mentioned on Didi maps or on Baidu maps, and the Chinese name bears absolutely no resemblance to the English name 杭州所见 – 西溪度假酒店. Foreign people may have problems finding this location on their maps/ getting here without help (the less help that is required, the better). The two top-end rooms (6999 yuan a night and 15,000 yuan a night) cannot be booked on 携程 (Ctrip) or Trip.com. I think there should be 5 – 10 pictures on the site showing these rooms as bookable. I take a long time researching a hotel before booking, so the more information available, the better. The boat trip in the hotel is way better than the boat trip offered outside the hotel. I really enjoyed it, but I don’t think many people use it, which is a shame of a great resource. The fact this hotel has its own private lake is something that makes it stand out from the other hotels. PS , I cannot upload my videos of the boat trip inside the hotel's lake because the file is too big :'(

AAnna in ChinaIt was my first trip to Hangzhou. I wanted to celebrate my husband’s birthday here and it was totally impromptu. What I was looking for: 1) a closer location to the West lake - to walk there, not to ride; 2) a balcony or courtyard; 3) and/or at least a beautiful view and surroundings; 4) as we love tea and really interested in Chinese tea culture, some tea plantation nearby could be a plus! Not many hotels seemed to meet my requirements and those which fit were way beyond our budget. Xunzhenshe hotel looked very pretty but their description was not very clear. Anyway, considering that I was booking our room just a day (!) before our arrival on Friday night, Xunzhenshe seemed to be my only choice with just two rooms left. To be honest, I didn’t expect much when we arrived. However, from the beginning the service was outstanding with a personal approach. At the hotel they greeted us as we were VIPs. Celia, an English-speaking lady, who contacted me after my booking, was extremely helpful. She gave us few recommendations about Hangzhou and the area nearby. She showed us the tea plantation just next to the hotel and a room where farmers were drying tea leaves - it was quite short but interesting introduction to the hotel environment. The hotel itself is owned and managed by a former architect. The building was built based on construction principles of the Song dynasty. As I understand, all ground floor units have their own courtyard. There is a parking lot, a tea room and a restaurant at the hotel. We were given a non-smoking one-bedroom apartment in a quieter part of the hotel and could enjoy our morning tea in our small but elegant courtyard. The apartment was clean with all necessary amenities. There was a kitchen and a dining room with a huge table (we didn’t use this room though). The breakfast buffet was included in the rate, however they offered mostly Chinese food (no problem for us as we love it). Our dinner and breakfast food were delicious! Also, we so much appreciate totally unexpected birthday presents to my husband. Upon arrival he found a little gift with a touching handwritten birthday message and then birthday noodles were served at the restaurant. So, it was very unique and memorable celebration! After all, I was really happy with my hotel’s choice. To conclude what we loved the most about this hotel: 1. Attentive and caring service 2. Nature and beautiful surroundings 3. Very good location: just next to the West lake park and bridges. Walkable distance to the famous night show Impression and Su Causeway. Not far away to Leifeng pagoda and Longjing and Meijiawu villages. 4. Good Chinese restaurant with a terrace just next to the tea plantation 5. Amazing tea Me and my husband had a great time in Xunzhenshe. Highly recommend it to those who love places with soul.

SStanley The Travel ManThe check in process was quite smooth. No one was in line. I arrived early and the receptionist let me have the room. Sometimes the receptionist will give us information like coffee and tea are free of charge. If you need more , we can provide it. In this case. She just handed me the key card. I wouldn’t say she was all that welcoming. She was just doing her job .  I am thankful that I have free coffee and tea. Each day new ones were provided. I was there for 4 days. The location is the best and only minutes from West Lake as well as a lively nearby shopping street to the south and a street fall of street food to the north. There is a bus stop outside that takes you around the lake . The metro station is only 10 minutes walk . It is deceiving though even though the entrance C6 is nearby less than 10 minutes away . After you entered it, you still need to walk another 8 to 10 minutes more underground.  I stayed on 7 floor I think and the view was great. The building is not enough so it is not worth paying extra for lake view because you only see a sliver of the lake . The daily cleaning is adequate. Towels were replaced, garbages disposed daily. The room is quite big with space to place my carry on luggage. It has a desk to eat. There are enough electrical sockets to charge my devices. There is a small coffee table and a sofa which I love.  There are several things that I don’t like. One : the room is bit dark. There is no ceiling lights . The lightbulbs are not bright enough. Two : No microwaves in the building. Three : No laundry room. Four : The room door slams shut. In the morning, one can hear  a lot of slamming of the door. The people didn’t slam it shut. The only way the door can be closed is to slam it so it created a lot of noise.Five : anyone can enter the building and to my floor. You don’t need a key card to reach your floor.  Six. The use of single use shampoo, bathing gel. This is not environmentally friendly. If they have a large liquid bath gel and shampoo, it would be much better.  The air conditioner has no digital temperature reading. It shares the same ventilation with the other rooms. If there are smokers in the other room, you can smell it.  The room wall is not well insulated and if anyone talked a bit louder, one can hear it easily.  The hotel is one of the most expensive hotels in my trip in China. I stayed in one near Shanghai Hongquiao metro /airport. It was cheaper, fruit was served in the afternoon and through the evening and breakfast was great. Coffee was available and the person in charge was warm and friendly. My room reservation didn’t include breakfast.  The building is quite dated(aka. a bit old ). This , being a 4 stars hotel, I did have a higher expectation .  I would give it a 3.0 to 3.5 stars at best.
