"The location was very ideal as someone who wanted to visit district 2. It was a walking distance from the hotel. Restaurants, convenience store, and taxis were very accessible to this location as well. The hotel staff was very nice offering to check us in earlier and offered us to dine at the cafeteria for that day even though our free breakfast is for the next day. They didn't speak English but they had a translator so communicating wasn't a problem. When I left my luggage in the taxi we rode, the staff commnucated with them and we got our luggage in an hour. They were friendly and helpful. If you happened to be early, they might offer you the room early as well as long as there is one available. If not, you can stay in their lounge area where the seats are very comfortable and big. I just noticed how the rooms seem a bit outdated but the rooms were clean and the single beds can fit in two people. SO NICE WE SLEPT AS SOON AS WE LAID ON IT. LOL. Overall experience was GREAT for 152 rmb for 4 people with free breakfast."

"This seven-star hotel truly lives up to its reputation; it's incredibly well-maintained. The butler and customer service staff were exceptional. I do have a suggestion though: it would be great if the Rainbow Bridge had a bicycle ramp, perhaps a few dozen centimeters wide, so bikes could be pushed across (cycling isn't allowed, but at least pushing them would be possible). Cycling around Taihu Lake is a growing trend in sports tourism, and I believe this would add a new attraction and draw more guests to the Moon Hotel."

I loved that they offered a selection of different pillows – such a thoughtful touch. The room was also spotlessly clean. The location is super convenient, close to the Yongjinmen scenic area, and it's just a five or six-minute walk to West Lake. Plus, there are bus and subway stops right downstairs, making it super easy to get around. It made exploring so hassle-free. Overall, I was very happy with the service."

"I originally booked for one night, but Ms. Stella was so enthusiastic, she introduced and upgraded my room, which was a great experience. So I extended my stay for two more days. Overall, the three days were very good. The room was spacious, although the towels could use an update as they were a bit old. The automatic curtains were a bit faulty, but everything else was excellent. The Executive Lounge offered three meals a day, which was incredibly thoughtful – very nice! I won't nitpick, but one evening I returned late to the Executive Lounge with a friend visiting. The three of us went up to the 37th floor. A young man there saw the extra person but didn't question it excessively. Instead, he warmly explained that dinner was over but offered free drinks. For an established brand hotel, this small detail is highly commendable. We only stayed for a short while, but it left a lasting impression. Many newer hotels would make a fuss over such things until you felt uncomfortable. The three-day stay was excellent value for money."

Environment: The surrounding area is average. Construction across the street started at 6 AM, which caused some disturbance in the morning, but it was fine at night. The hotel's interior design is a bit dark, especially the elevator, which might make a woman traveling alone feel a bit uneasy. The room was also a bit dark, and taller guests would have to bend down to see themselves in the mirror near the entrance. Also, for those driving, remember to turn into the service road early when navigating to the hotel, or you might easily miss the parking entrance. Hygiene: No issues with hygiene; at least, my room was good."

She upgraded our room when possible and gave us recommendations for evening activities. What really stood out was when she offered us two warm, yes, warm walnut cookies – they were so comforting and delicious, like coming home, especially since we were a bit hungry! We extended our stay for another night, and Ms. Jia at the front desk was equally warm and attentive. The entire hotel, from its facilities to its soft services, feels grand and well-designed. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast and dinner buffets offer a wide variety of choices. I also appreciate their strong commitment to environmental protection, with trash cans that have ditched plastic bags – excellent!"
