Great room very clean checked in very efficiently as well the staff were very helpful the only thing is that it is a little bit of a walk from the train stations so if you have big luggage just keep that in your mind but would for sure come again!

Nothing to complain about this hotel. Excellent location, good customer service provided by the front desk staff. Though she can’t speak much English, you can feel her passion and enthusiasm to assist the guests. There is a small grocery store in the front desk area with fresh fruit, bread and even Japanese souvenir is provided. Will definitely return in future. There is a nice burger restaurant nearby.

The hotel's facilities are quite good, though the only minor drawback might be the poor soundproofing. There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel, offering convenient access to major attractions in Kyoto. The subway station is about a 20-minute walk away. As for the amenities, the hotel is well-equipped with individual shower rooms and toilets on each floor. The washing machine and lounge area are located on the fifth floor. Please note that the hotel does not have an elevator. If you have large luggage, you can inform the front desk to arrange a room on a lower floor.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at The OneFive - the room was very clean and spacious with relatively new facilities. The hotel was a short 5 min walk from Omiya Station and about 15-20 min walk from the main shopping streets at Kawaramachi / Teramachi. The staff at the check-in counter were also very friendly and helpful!

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. That day, I traveled all the way from Wakkanai after visiting Cape Soya, then flew from Chitose Airport to Osaka, and finally arrived in Kyoto. I was incredibly exhausted, both mentally and physically. Beyond the usual tea bags and shower gel found in Japanese hotels, this place offered premium amenities like bath salts. But the best part was that this hotel has a 'power on' system for the room key! This meant I could leave the room with my card, and the electricity wouldn't shut off! You could also tell the local environment was pretty good; the birds on the street weren't afraid of people at all. They'd walk right next to the sidewalk, and wouldn't fly away even when people passed by.

Location are on point even though not on the main road.Konbini are near around the neighborhood .
Value for money to solo traveller who values privacy.
The room space was good enough for prayers if you are a Muslim.
The bed linen, towels and curtains are clean. Importantly the USB port was in working order. I've noticed most hotel in Japan provide shoehorn in the room which is a brilliant tool for fast slide your foot in a shoe.

This was our third stay at Agora Hotel Shijo Kyoto, and once again, it did not disappoint. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore Kyoto’s highlights. Our room was spacious enough to comfortably fit two large suitcases, with plenty of space left to move around freely. The amenities provided were more than sufficient for a comfortable stay. We also appreciated the refreshing welcome drinks upon arrival, which was a nice touch after a long day of travel. Overall, a consistently great experience and we look forward to staying here again.

The room was well-equipped, spacious, bright, and very clean. There are large shopping malls and Toji Temple nearby, and Kyoto Station is within a 10-minute reach. It's convenient and fast to get to various attractions by bus or subway. It was a pleasant trip. Thank you 🙏

The front desk staff are warm and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth. The location is convenient, with many dining and transportation options nearby. The breakfast selection is extensive and consistently good. It's great value for money, suitable for both business trips and leisure stays. I would definitely choose it again.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe room was quite spacious, about 20 square meters, so there was plenty of space to lay out luggage without any worries. The bathroom was also a good size with a separate wet and dry area. However, I didn't use the shower there as I went to the large public bath on the 9th floor instead. Soaking in it was a great way to relieve the fatigue of a day of travel. The hotel is conveniently located right next to a bus stop, offering easy access to places like the National Museum, Ichiran Ramen (Shijo branch), and Shinshindo Bakery (Shijo branch).
GGuest UserIt was a grea hotel with free shuttle to station. The room size was big compared to other usual Japanese hotel and the longer bathtube made a difference.
Breakfast buffet was the best with many many variety and staff produced french toast at site served with honey.
Underground Carpark was really convenient and you coud get discount by joinning as its member at once!
IiamnotdelicateThe basic room type isn't in the main building; you have to walk up to the main building each time to have breakfast or soak in the onsen (hot spring). And it's not a real onsen; my friend's superior room was the real onsen. We were given a small room at the back of the hotel, but thankfully there weren't too many graves.
When I asked the staff at the entrance to take photos for me, they were very reluctant and had a sour face. At night, on my way back to my room from my friend's, the receptionist on duty in the lobby was also very rude. Overall, I was dissatisfied with the service.
The facilities are excellent, very new, and the hotel is quite small, but that's typical for Japanese hotels. The decor is also very nice; the aesthetics are on point.
There are at least three cemeteries and a bunch of shrines nearby; bring some amulets if you like.
GGuest UserThis hotel boasts a quiet location, tucked away on a peaceful lane, yet it's only about a 10-minute walk to the bustling city center and many attractions, which I really appreciated. The staff were friendly and polite, and the room hygiene met standards. The hot spring was uncrowded and clean, both inside and out. The only thing that wasn't ideal was the hotel restaurant. I had dinner there once, the tempura set, and it was all tempura, which was quite greasy. The combination of dishes wasn't very healthy or refined. Other than that, I was very satisfied and would choose to stay here again on my next trip to Kyoto.
TTravelerVibesAbout 10 mins walk south from Kyoto Station. Great location- near restaurants, laundromat, AEON mall, and bus stops
Staff is very helpful and friendly- we feel so welcomed when we arrived here. My friend and I arrived here very early, so they gave us tokens for our luggages to store and would come back to check in at 3pm. You’ll need to pay accommodation taxes separately and they will show you the machine you’re going to pay taxes
Def will book this again when I’m in town (:
GGuest UserTo start with the positives, the hotel was well located and easily accessible using the metro from Kyoto station. The room was a decent enough size and the staff were friendly and helpful.
One major issue we encountered during our stay was the level of humidity in the room. The extractor fan didn't seem to be doing anything to impact moisture in the room, particularly after a warm shower. There was some treated glass above the sink and often this was the only area without moisture well over half an hour after having a shower. (Photos attached) This also meant that towels weren't drying correctly and created an unpleasant environment and ultimately odour in the room. The humidity was so high that the windows were dripping with water consistently and the window sill was actually wet. Additionally the absence of a full wardrobe (just a rail with hangers on) also created challenges when staying for longer than a couple of days and this combined with the humidity made the washing machine almost obsolete.
MMaemeehI had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of Kyoto city. It’s just a short walk to both the train and bus stations, which made getting around super convenient. Plus, it’s very close to major shopping malls Takashimaya where you can buy Marukyu koyamaen matcha. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. They also have a washing machine and dryer available, which is really convenient for longer stays. However, there’s only one of each, so if it gets busy, you might need to wait your turn. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kyoto! They also has nearby Izakaya that the owner was so kind and foreigner friendly welcome.
ГГряникThank you very much, we really enjoyed our stay with you!
Your townhouse was very cozy and fully equipped. Comfortable house clothes, robes and slippers for any occasion (for the street, balcony, toilet and home) made our stay comfortable. The beds, although on the floor, were very comfortable. The mats felt nice and warm. The bathroom with wooden trim looks unusual and stylish. The small rock garden adds a nice accent. The Japanese-style breakfast was an interesting experience, especially the process of making soup yourself. The code entry on the door was very convenient. Thank you!
Llucky333This was the second hotel on our Japan trip, and it was excellent!
The hotel is located directly across from Kyoto Station's Hachijo Exit. Since we had a JR Pass, staying near the station made getting around much easier.
**Facilities:** It's a self-check-in hotel. We paid the accommodation tax first. Next to the self-service machine, there were toiletries that you could take as needed. Although the room was small, it had everything you could want: a refrigerator, humidifier, TV, bathtub, and smart toilet. The room heating was strong, but you could adjust the temperature if it felt too stuffy.
**Cleanliness:** It was clean. We stayed for three nights and didn't request housekeeping. They provided pajamas, and they were really nice! It's a shame that there's a shipping fee if you buy them from the official website. It would be great if the hotel front desk sold new ones.
**Environment:** There's a 7-Eleven on the ground floor of the hotel. Guests can enter directly from the side of the lobby, and when returning, you can swipe your room card at the 7-Eleven to enter the lobby. This is great in cold weather as you don't need to go outside to visit the convenience store for food. The surrounding area has many shopping options, including Don Quijote, Aeon Mall, drugstores, and various eateries. There's even more inside the station! Isetan, Porta, Takashimaya. If you exit towards the Kyoto Theater, you can see Kyoto Tower. There's also a sightseeing bus to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and you can just use your Suica card. You can even walk to Yodobashi Camera.
**Service:** The hotel staff were respectful and polite to guests. You can store your luggage after checking out. Our luggage was sent from our previous hotel, but if you want to send luggage to your next hotel, you have to arrange the courier yourself.
It's very convenient to take the Shinkansen from Kyoto Station to Tokyo!
This hotel is highly recommended, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Kyoto!
Xxue****This hotel offers incredible value for money! It's super convenient, just a 5-minute walk from Kyoto JR Station. The streets on both sides of the hotel are lined with small restaurants and pubs, and there's a medium-sized drug store (Don Quijote) at the corner. The room was clean and tidy, and we could see Kyoto Tower right from our window. I especially recommend the hotel's shampoo – it's really good! 😊 The room was spacious enough for two adults and two 28-inch suitcases, with plenty of room to spare. There are USB charging ports by the bed. There's no kettle in the room, so you'll need to bring your own and an adapter. The breakfast on the first floor is a set meal, costing around 60 RMB per person. Highly recommended!
