I compared many hotels, including several similar ones in Sanfang Qixiang, and ultimately chose 'Shuxiang Wenru'. First off, the location is incredibly convenient. It's just a few dozen meters from the entrance of Wenrufang on Tonghu Road. The hotel's main gate is truly grand and antique. Though, climbing over the high threshold was a bit of a challenge! In the lobby, you're greeted by elegant and impressive water features and a long row of bookshelves. I booked a king-size room on the third floor. Even though it's an old building, there's an elevator available. The furniture in the room has a distinct Han, Tang, and Ming dynasty style, which I absolutely loved! The toilet, shower, and vanity areas are completely separate. The bed was very comfortable, neither too soft nor too firm. I was especially pleased that the hotel was incredibly quiet at night. It's definitely a peaceful retreat in a bustling area. The breakfast offered a good taste of Fuzhou cuisine; while the variety wasn't extensive, it was refined and just right. The only thing I didn't quite like was the thin, crinkly duvet. Even though the heating was on at night, the duvet felt a bit like sleeping under advertising paper.

It is 50 meters away from Zhangzhou Ancient City Scenic Area in a straight line, and takes 3 minutes. The transportation is convenient, the room is clean and tidy, and it is worth recommending! I will stay here next time. There are many snacks and stalls in the ancient city, and it is convenient to eat delicious food day and night!

The environment is quite enchanting. Our room was on the outer perimeter, but unfortunately, there's a villa being built next door. It didn't affect us since we were out most of the day, but if you plan on relaxing in the room, it can get a bit noisy (though earplugs are provided in the room).
This hotel is great for those who enjoy morning runs or walks. You can use your room key to access the Chongyang Stream scenic trail by the river, offering beautiful mountain views. The hotel's breakfast buffet is really good, with a decent variety. You absolutely *must* try the lard noodles and Zixi noodles, loaded with toppings – they're super delicious! In the room, having two sinks is very convenient for two people, but a small detail to note: the inner rim of the washbasin area should be cleaned regularly to prevent mold. There's also a good selection of pillows to choose from, so you can find one that suits you. The hotel also offers some nice free experiences, like various handicraft workshops. We didn't try the travel photography though.

This location is absolutely incredible! You're right at Shapowei, and you can easily cycle down to Baishatan (White Sand Beach) and Music Plaza – it's all super convenient. The place is very clean, and for this price and location, with such an amazing sea view, it's an absolute steal. Truly perfect! I genuinely recommend it to everyone. I'll definitely stay here again next time. It's fantastic!

We arrived in Wuyi city in the morning after leaving Hangzhou, and the hotel staff kindly arranged an early check-in for us. They even provided teas and welcome fruits and kindly explain how to get the entrance of Wuyi mountain from XIAOWU, which was incredibly helpful.
But above all, the hotel itself was the highlight. It was spotless and easily the most memorable place we stayed during our 10-day trip in China. The room was very clean and we were received with a great hospitality.
The rooms are set up in a luxurious way like a classy hotel.
Although it is not a state-of-the-art hotel like big cities, it provides optimized design and five-star hotel services for Mt. Wuyi travel.
If I visit Wuyi mountain again with my parents in the future, I’ll definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality!
An unexpected surprise on my trip to Zhangzhou! It rained in Zhangzhou, so I spent three days and two nights on Dongshan Island. It rained constantly, and I couldn't get close to the ocean. So, I decided to check out the Tulou (earth buildings) on a whim. I rented a car, enjoyed Yunshui Yao, and drove back to Zhangzhou Old Town. After getting off the highway, I started looking for a hotel. I looked at the online reviews and decided on this one. The reviews were spot-on. The villa was right by the river, only about 10 yuan from the Old Town by Didi. The room had a bathtub, as did the balcony. My hasty departure meant I didn't get to soak in the hot springs or enjoy a cup of tea by the Jiulong River, which was a pity. Next time I come back, Zhangzhou has so much more to offer—beautiful sights and delicious food!
We brought our family here for a vacation. The hotel was great, and pets are allowed. Xiao Wu even provided complimentary fruit and helped with laundry. The hotel also offers free meals three times a day. The rooms have automatic clothes drying racks, which is very convenient. They provide slippers, including disposable ones, which is very hygienic. They also provide disposable toilet seat covers – a thoughtful touch! A big thumbs up for this hotel! Very good.

The hotel rooms are beautifully decorated in a minimalist style, come fully equipped, and include breakfast. We had a great two-day stay; you can see the sea right from the window – it's a pity I forgot to take pictures, but the view is just as stunning as shown in their promotional photos. The owner was also incredibly kind; he gave us tips on where to visit and even gifted each of us a Mazu peace charm when we left. Thanks to the owner, wishing you continued success!

The hotel is located within the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys scenic area, boasting an antique charm. Since it was a weekday and there were available rooms, the front desk upgraded my room, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, with a subway station and bus stops right next door, making getting around a breeze. The front desk even has a cute little cat! They also provide many thoughtful amenities, like disposable facial towels, small tissue packets, and brown sugar ginger tea – very considerate. The front desk service was excellent too. Overall, a great experience!

• Advantages: As soon as you walk into the hotel, you can feel the comfortable and pleasant environment. The decoration style is simple and warm. The public area is spacious and bright, and the green plants are just right, which makes people feel happy. The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities, and it is very comfortable to live in. The attitude of the service staff is even better. From the check-in at the front desk to the room service, everyone is warm and thoughtful, and they are responsive, making people feel at home.
• Disadvantages: The only thing I am not satisfied with is that there are relatively few places to eat around the hotel. If you want to eat some local specialties, you have to walk a long way. If you are in a hurry or don’t want to toss, the choices are very limited. It is not very convenient to order takeout, the delivery time is long, and there are not many merchants to choose from.
If you don’t care too much about the surrounding dining and pursue a comfortable environment and high-quality service, this hotel is still very recommended.

BBaiMaWangziI traveled to Xiamen during the Chinese spring service with my dog and took a day trip to Kinmen Island, Taiwan, just off the coast.
This hotel was in fact an apartment building with several management companies renting out rooms on various floors. Overall the building was in a horrendous state of disrepair.
Initially, the front desk tried to put me into a room on the sixth floor which looked like a scene from a horror movie... Stains on floor, walls, dirt and garbage everywhere....I asked if this is the same room I booked and another female staff member moved me to the 9 th floor which was at least clean and updated, in the hall. The room was ok, and bed comfortable, but I've never stayed in a hotel that put sheets directly on the mattress without a minimal pad between... Luckily no bed bugs.
The room had 3 out of 8 working lightbulbs so it was very dark. The heater didn't warm up the room even at max level running all day.
Everything was old and dingy... Nothing like the photos
I had no TV or Internet service the first day until I asked for it to be repaired.
Overall, no maintenance is the problem.. But at least the woman at the front desk was helpful and kind
That only real redeeming quality of the room was the view... But the window was so dirty, it was mostly obscured.

EErererererererererererereryeOur little one wanted to see 'A Yuan's Home,' so we brought the picture book and came to stay. This guesthouse is located within the Tianluokeng Tulou Scenic Area in Nanjing. It's easy to find if you're driving, and personally, I found it even better than the Yunshuiyao Scenic Area – fewer crowds and stunning scenery. It's also very close to Taxia Village, which you can reach by cycling or walking. There, you can visit the 700-year-old Yuchang Lou, famously standing 'crooked but firm,' and grab a meal at the Xiaogqiao Liushui Restaurant. Just a heads-up if you're driving, be mindful of parking restrictions. Getting to Tianluokeng's iconic 'Four Dishes and One Soup' cluster is also super convenient, just a ten-minute drive. The Tulou are truly magnificent!
The guesthouse hostess is incredibly nice, and they have a lovely Golden Retriever named Xiao Chai, who is very friendly and well-behaved. We booked a duplex room with a living area downstairs and the sleeping area upstairs. It even came with a projector, which was a huge bonus! But the real highlight was the in-room washer-dryer combo – such a thoughtful and convenient amenity!
GGuest UserLocated at the end of Nanmen Bay, on the upper left of Dongshan Fengdongshi Scenic Area, the room we stayed in has no noise mirrors and looks like it is in the scenic area. The super invincible sea view, we can take postcard-like photos on our own private balcony. In terms of geographical location, other B&Bs or hotels on Dongshan Island may really not be able to compare with his home. In terms of the luxury of the room, many B&Bs I have stayed in in China are really not on the same level as his home. The decoration in the room is simple but high-end, and many equipment and furniture are imported (so although the room fee has been collected, pre-authorization is still required). His shower room is one of the few hotels and B&Bs I have stayed in in China that will not leak. The projector also has a high-definition picture. There are many snacks in the room. Basically, you don’t want to go out when you stay in the room, because the beautiful sea view can make you lie on the rocking chair on the balcony for an afternoon. It’s really a bit like our vacation in Seychelles or Six Senses Yao Noi.
Because it is relatively hidden, it is a little far from the parking and commercial areas (many restaurants are in this area), and the owner of the B&B will drive a battery car to pick you up. The B&B is not far from the only remaining ancient street in Dongshan, and there are many snack shops and small restaurants on the ancient street. Go to the lower left after leaving the B&B, and you will see many piers where fishing boats are moored after passing the Fengdongshi ticket office. The more famous Fish Ball Grandma on the island is nearby. His Liufu fish balls, peanut sesame cakes and meat dumplings are delicious.
The B&B does not provide breakfast, but you can take it out, which is not inconvenient.
The main thing here is the high-end rooms and the unbeatable sea view. The most important thing is that dogs are also welcome. My two short legs also like it here very much.

GGuest UserThe environment is quiet and beautiful, and the rooms are immaculately clean. The owner and her family are incredibly kind, making it feel like home. Everyone there is so friendly. They greeted us as soon as we entered, making it feel like home, and we enjoyed tea and chatted whenever we had time.
The location is also convenient, with easy transportation, making it hassle-free. You can take bus No. 9 directly from Wuyishan North Station, and the bus is free, which is a real relief!
There's also a restaurant where you can order dishes, with clearly marked prices. The dishes are delicious, and the portions are generous, making for a satisfying meal.
Highly recommended!
QQingshixiaoluerThe room was very clean, big, and the air conditioning was very powerful.
The location was just opposite the Tulou Prince
The proprietress personally took us to Tulou Prince and told us the story of his family, which was more vivid than the regular tour guide's explanation. You could hear the pride from her family.
The proprietress took a lot of photos for us, and the scene was amazing.
The boss was also very enthusiastic.
GGuest UserA friend came to stay here before and recommended that the location is very convenient. The owner of the homestay is very enthusiastic. I stayed here for three consecutive days. It is very convenient to go out. The exit is the delicious street (local people's own shops). It is delicious and not expensive. It is within 50 meters next to the Stanjiang duck. Go out and walk straight for 5 minutes to West Street and Kaiyuan Temple. Check in the rooftop and bell tower. It is on the same line and you won't get lost! It's a 15-minute walk to the Confucian Temple. Go out and wave to take a small white car. It takes 30 minutes to get from Quanzhou Station. It takes 5 minutes to get off. Quanzhou city walk is highly recommended. It is a quiet place in the hustle and bustle. It is safe to check in alone and come back late at night. You don't have to go to West Street. There are too many people. You can eat all kinds of local specialties in Quanzhou on this street. It is economical! Because it is very close to Yuan Temple, I went there 3 times, morning, noon and night. It is recommended to go in the early morning and evening. There are people everywhere in the afternoon. Quanzhou is a place you must want to come again when you come. The fireworks of Minnan culture are mortals everywhere!
GGuest UserI came to Yunshuiyao to play, and I really like the scenery here. I especially like their design and greening. Whenever I come to the south, I ask him to stay here for a night every time. The proprietress is very friendly, and the tea she brews is very fragrant. The coffee is also very fragrant. The overall environment is very healing. I came from Jiangsu. I plan to bring my good friends and my family to play again during the summer vacation, and I will choose their home to stay. Thank you. I love you so much.
GGuest UserDuring this trip, I felt less like a tourist and more like I was reconnecting with dear old friends, listening to their fascinating life stories. What I initially expected to be just an ordinary journey unexpectedly became one of the most cherished memories of my life.
The guesthouse itself radiates a beautiful vintage charm. Every detail, from the subtly placed tiles in a corner to the sea rocks on the cabinet and the fresh flowers, meticulously showcases a unique appreciation for aesthetic living and a truly dedicated approach to hospitality.
A special thank you goes to the guesthouse host, Dong Ge. His warm hospitality and thoughtful attention made us feel like family. Not only did he provide us with a comfortable place to stay, but his genuine sincerity and kindness truly melted away our travel weariness. This warmth and friendship I will forever cherish.
Though it was difficult to leave, the journey of life must continue. I eagerly look forward to the day I can return to this wonderfully warm and special place.
XXiaopangxieqianI brought my mom to Wuyishan for a trip. We looked at several guesthouses and hotels, and finally chose Ruyi She Family Courtyard – it was the right choice! The owner is incredibly kind; booking tickets for the Impression Dahongpao show through her got us a significant discount, and she even upgraded our room for free. The room was spotless, and the surroundings were quiet. There's a small bar on the second floor with a great atmosphere, and a tea room where you can enjoy tea. The Impression Dahongpao show is just across the street, a few minutes' walk away, and it's also very close to Sangu Street and Wuyishan Mountain – super convenient for getting around! I highly recommend this place!

GGuest UserMy parents and I stayed and dined at Fuyu Lou, which is considered the grandest Tulou in the Tulou Prince Scenic Area. Our host, Ah Wen, was incredibly warm and attentive; he even picked us up and dropped us off at the village entrance, and treated us to a delightful tea tasting. The dishes prepared by the auntie were incredibly delicious, allowing us to truly savor authentic Tulou cuisine. The courtyard had a wonderful ambiance, becoming particularly stunning in the evenings when the lanterns illuminated. Our room was also very clean, and the high-quality toiletries provided were a nice touch. When my parents felt a bit chilly at night, the auntie, despite already having gone to bed, thoughtfully brought them extra blankets – we were truly grateful for her kindness! Having explored various other Tulou structures throughout the Tulou Prince Scenic Area, we unanimously agreed that Fuyu Lou stands out as exceptional in every aspect – its rich history, beautiful environment, and the wonderful host. We truly made the perfect choice! Our stay and dining experience at Fuyu Lou was undoubtedly the biggest highlight of our entire Fujian trip!
