This is a decent, standard airport hotel, very close to the airport. They offer a shuttle bus every half hour, though you can actually walk to the terminal. There's also an outlet mall next door for shopping and dining. The facilities are relatively new and have all the necessary amenities. Most of the staff are dedicated and helpful, though a very small number had slightly poor attitudes, which I can understand if they were on a night shift. Special thanks to the housekeeping staff, who were very warm, hospitable, and went out of their way to help guests, even providing a charging cable to a guest next door, which wasn't even part of her job. There was a faint lingering smell of smoke in the room when I entered, but that's not the hotel's fault; it's due to a previous guest violating the no-smoking policy.

Let me start by praising the service. First and foremost, our butler, ”Blue Cat,” was incredibly service-minded, always looking out for guests' interests and proactively checking in on various matters. Beyond that, everyone at the hotel, from the front desk to the concierge and the cleaning staff, provided excellent service. They all served with a smile and greeted us warmly.
As for the rooms, I still think Marriott's maintenance is much better than the two hotels next door.
Sanya definitely offers a fantastic vacation vibe.
I found the breakfast to be both varied and delicious – highly recommended.
While the public areas next door might be slightly better, it's worth noting that they're all interconnected, so you can access them anyway.
Overall, it was the best experience among the three hotels.

Hotel has connecting family rooms available for booking.
Hotel does not restrict smoking in non-smoking rooms.
The rooms at level 8,9,10 had guests smoking in their rooms that affected ours via the aircon vents.
Level 7 where laundry room is located, is also the same level for hotel members’ mahjong room = smoking rooms.
4 washer and 4 dryers + iron + board.
Level 6 is the restaurant where breakfast is served.
Typical Chinese cuisine breakfast.
There is no gym room at this property.
Location is alright though eatery is a distance away.
Walking distance of 10mins to reach Waika International Hotel area where minimarts, fruits and restaurants can be found.

This is a pet-friendly hotel, but the extra charge for pets is a bit steep at 350 RMB, even more expensive than hotels of similar caliber in Sanya. The hotel grounds are not very large, and the beach is a bit of a walk and is a public beach, so it was very crowded during Chinese New Year. However, the service was good; they saw we had a pet and brought over a dog bed, toys, and food bowls, all of good quality. The breakfast quality could be improved; it felt no different from a regular breakfast. I tried many different items, and none of them tasted good. For holidays like Chinese New Year, they should put in more effort. They shouldn't just raise room rates without improving the food, especially since breakfast is so important at a resort. I'd suggest they learn from Wyndham Wenchang; a bowl of freshly made rice noodle soup/noodles with a well-simmered, delicious broth adds so much value. It might be okay for regular prices, but I wouldn't recommend it for holidays.

My stay was initially quite pleasant. The front-line staff were consistently warm, attentive, and thoughtful throughout. When a small issue arose with our travel photos, the hotel promptly communicated and resolved it, which I appreciated. I thought I was going to have a wonderful experience, but it was completely ruined by one utterly unprofessional staff member, plummeting my satisfaction!
While riding the shuttle bus, we politely asked the shuttle driver about the hotel's attractions and photo spots. The driver was halfway through explaining when another person nearby suddenly interjected and answered for him! Her attitude was extremely rude, cold, and dismissive. She was sarcastic the entire time, even accusing us of not speaking clearly. We were just asking basic, straightforward questions about attractions, and I truly don't understand how we could have possibly expressed ourselves more 'clearly'. When we politely asked about photo spots, she flat-out said there weren't any, and was incredibly impatient. Yet, later we saw clear signs for photo spots all over the hotel. We got zero useful information, only a belly full of frustration and anger!
Afterward, the hotel told us this person was a 'secondary employee' and wasn't on duty, which is why she wasn't wearing an ID badge. I completely reject this flimsy explanation! Why was she wearing a uniform, riding a guest shuttle, and casually interjecting to address guests if she wasn't on duty? It's one thing to be unfamiliar with hotel operations and lack service awareness, but she didn't even have basic human decency. She seemed to be working with a chip on her shoulder, acting condescendingly, as if we, the guests, were accommodating her bad mood!
In stark contrast, all the other shuttle drivers were kind, friendly, patient, and enthusiastic, creating an incredibly jarring difference! The hotel's reputation, carefully built by its front-line staff, was completely destroyed by this 'secondary employee' who showed no rules, no professionalism, and no respect. The hotel merely offered a casual explanation of her identity without any indication of intending to improve. Such tolerance for employee misconduct is truly disheartening. I will never recommend this hotel, nor will I ever stay here again!

While the hotel exterior didn’t quite match the photos on the booking platform, our actual stay was very pleasant. The highlight was the exceptional customer service. We had an issue with cigarette smoke drifting into our room, but the lady duty manager went above and beyond to move us to a room of our choosing.
The location is excellent - surrounded by cafes, bakeries, and restaurants - and perfect for anyone wanting an authentic local experience. A heads-up for international travellers: breakfast is strictly Chinese cuisine with no Western options (coffee, tea, or bread). Would be good if hotel can improve smoke control, particularly in the elevators and lobby area. Overall, a recommended stay for service and convenience!

I just can't help but rave about the Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay! First off, the ambiance – you feel the grandeur the moment you step in. Both the lounge and the gardens exude a high-end feel; every shot you take looks like it belongs in a magazine. The design is incredibly thoughtful, for instance, the bedside switches are conveniently placed, and the lighting is smartly sectioned so you're not blinded if you get up at night.
My absolute favorite part was the large balcony. Lying on the long sofa out there, enjoying the sea breeze with some tea and fruit – it was just bliss! The suite itself was spacious and beautiful, with clearly defined living and sleeping areas, making it feel incredibly open and bright. The bathtub and hot water were perfect; a hot bath and a show at night just melted away all the day's fatigue. The bedding was super comfortable – soft yet supportive – I just hit the pillow and slept soundly until morning. The AC temperature was just right, making for a very pleasant stay.
An unexpected bonus was having a kitchen, which made it easy to whip up a simple seafood meal. And I have to praise the pool – the water was so clear you could see the tiles at the bottom. Staff were constantly maintaining it every day, so swimming felt completely safe.
The breakfast was abundant and incredibly delicious, especially the noodles, which were thin and crispy – so good.
Oh, and for parents with furry friends, listen up! The hotel has a dedicated, large, and clean grassy area for pets to play. It’s incredibly thoughtful!
All in all, this experience was absolutely worth it. I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Sanya!

The double garden rooms are amazing! You can soak in one, gazing into space, and lie in the other, staring at the stars. Plus, there are lounge chairs by the rice paddies and a rooftop pool bar – you could honestly spend an entire day here! The reception area is also super photogenic; it's a great spot to just relax and read a book. 😌 A perfectly delightful trip! 👌🏿

Service: First, I want to commend Lesly Huang for her enthusiastic and professional service. On the day of check-in, she arranged a room upgrade for us and seamlessly joined the twin beds, which made for a very comfortable sleep – truly the biggest bonus of this stay. The pool staff were also excellent, patiently accompanying the children to switch the water slide on and off, even under the hot sun. The restaurant staff were equally warm and accommodating.
Kudos to the Sheraton Haikou for its excellent service!
Cleanliness: Standard five-star hotel level, no issues there.
Environment: See the pictures for details. The pool has large slides, separated for children and adults (operating during specific time slots daily), and there's a hot spring pool in the evening (very relaxing). One minor complaint: the hotel clearly has East and West wings, and the restaurant also has two entrances, but only the West wing entrance was open. We walked all the way from the East wing to the restaurant door, only to find a 'closed' sign, forcing us to turn back (either by going up and down floors or walking around the perimeter under the scorching sun). I suggest clearer signage on the path from the East wing to the restaurant.
Facilities: Although the hotel is a bit older, the room equipment is generally well-maintained. Only some rooms have TV casting capabilities, so if you need this, inform the front desk in advance. The breakfast restaurant's tableware was the biggest letdown of this trip. For a five-star hotel's noodle bar, all the bowls were chipped. On the first day, I almost cut my mouth. Over two days, I picked up 4-6 chipped bowls – even an ordinary restaurant wouldn't do this. See the pictures for details. Not only was it unappetizing, but it also posed a safety hazard. I asked the restaurant manager, who said it was a quality issue with this batch of bowls, purchased only three months ago. It's unacceptable for a Sheraton to still be using bowls in this condition after three months.
PS: The hotel is directly connected to the beach, no need to cross any roads. It's a 5-minute walk through the hotel grounds from the lobby to the sea. It's convenient for digging in the sand, and the beach is managed by the municipality and seemed quite clean. So, for a family vacation in Haikou, the Sheraton is still recommended.

Pros: The butler proactively contacted me on WeChat and upgraded me to a 180-degree sea view room with two queen beds that can be combined, and a bed rail can be added. Breakfast is served until 1 PM, which is great for late risers. The kids' facilities are decent.
The hotel entrance is right next to the back entrance of Gangcheng No.1 Mall (the 'Big Pineapple'), making shopping very convenient, and there's a supermarket nearby too.
Cons: There are a lot, and I mean a lot, of Russians. Seriously, there were no other Chinese people in the elevator besides my family of three. It's a bit far from the beach, about a 10-minute walk, and there's no shuttle bus. The pool isn't very big.
Overall, it's pretty good and the price is reasonable.

The hotel's newly renovated large gym is said to be free for hotel guests after it opens, which I'm really looking forward to. The room facilities are new and high-end; even the hairdryer and ashtray are exquisitely crafted and substantial. The toiletries are also excellent, and the bed is comfortable. A good night's sleep and overall stay are my criteria for a positive hotel review. I suggest the hotel promote itself more effectively so that more people can see this quality hotel.
HHweiling OwThe place was hard to find. There are tonnes of shop lots at the bottom of one entrance, and the other entrance had a large open area with stairs that goes up. The security guard I asked did not recognise the name, and there is no obvious signs that I could pick up. (I cannot read mandarin). I dont think there was any other way aside from contacting the person via the app. Even if you found the entrance, there is no obvious reception area. We had to ring the contact person on the Trip.com app, and I had family who could speak mandarin to help guide the rest of the process. He is helpful and quick to respond. He brought us through a metal door, to a dark alleyway with lifts inside. If we weren't in a group of seven, I would have worried about my organs at this point. There was a bit of a juggle with my cousins and my side of the family. So I ended up staying in the THREE BEDROOM APARTMENT. The layout of the three bedroom apartment (located on the 18th floor) that we ended up in is similar to the two bedroom apartment with the lounge carved up to create a new bedroom. apartment is quick to respond. The two bedroom apartment (located on the 25th floor) felt bigger and cleaner, and had better views. From here onwards, it is the review for the THREE BEDROOM APARTMENT: We ran out of toilet paper and had air-conditioning issues. The contact person is quick to respond and solve our issues. The beds are hard for my body that is use to a softer version. There is no daily cleaning services that suits us. They supply toothbrushes, shower caps, body and shampoo wash in the bathroom, and disposable towels. The towels can be reused during the time you are there, but they are meant to be thrown away so they dont have the responsibility to rewash the towels. We didn't use the swimming pool on the third floor as we were too busy. It is RMB4 per use. They also supply a singular giant bottle of water. I think it was 5 litres. The air conditioning units in all three rooms work. Our view is a live view of how Sanya people live in Sanya, families in another building, the locals sitting on their balcony on a hot day. You get a couple of tags to tag into the building, out of the building, into the lift, and into the bedroom. There is also a code you can type in to get access into the building. When we left, the contact person helped us with getting a taxi to the hotel. It went through his account and we paid him cash rounding up to the closest amount. He did not want any more for helping us. He was extremely helpful. This is one of the cheaper choices in Sanya - and my rating is for the price and location.
The accommodation was pleasant, clean, and comfortable throughout our stay. Our main guide, Li Ziyang, was consistently kind, attentive, and helpful. Despite the language barrier, communication was effective due to his patience and our mutual effort. His support significantly improved the overall experience, and we felt well taken care of during the stay.
Our eight-day, seven-night stay at this hotel was an absolute dream from start to finish. We were thrilled with the stunning ocean view from our room, which was the first thing we admired every morning. The incredible hospitality began with a complimentary airport pickup and drop-off, making our travel completely seamless. A lovely surprise was the complimentary drinks and cake, which made us feel so welcomed. The hotel itself is impeccably clean, beautifully new, and has a fantastic modern ambiance. Waking up to that breathtaking vista each day was truly unforgettable.
Hotel has 6 floors with 1 lift. Average size room. Big windows, Queen bed with 2 pillows, 2 bedside tables. 1 round table with chair. Std amenities with paper cups. Laundry has 1 washer and 1 dryer. Separate bath/toilet, bath, face towels. Floor towel mat. Small area but OK. Water flow out and wet toilet area although separated. No rain shower. Big slippers. Adequate hangers and hooks. Power sockets not well placed. Good location opposite People's Park. Buses to everywhere including railway station and airport. Plenty of food stalls, restaurants, convenience stores, shopping malls nearby. Very popular hotel. Breakfast simple but good.

Amazing vacation on the seashore with a variety of infrastructure near you: cafes, bars, shops, live music and fireworks on the beach every day. The cozy and stylish rooms are quiet, all the amenities with a luxurious view from the window, friendly and attentive staff will always help you and anticipate your expectations (they speak English fluently, a separate plus for this). We extended our stay in this place. Thank you!
GGuest UserJust by the sea, you can see the sea in the room, the price is cheap, the price is very high, the boss is also very enthusiastic to help us send luggage to the village, the whole is very good, the only small drawback is that the sound of the toilet door is relatively large, I hope the boss can improve it, Otherwise, going to the toilet in the middle of the night will noisy people in the same room.
