cici1118When bringing kids to Inner Mongolia, how can you not experience a yurt? I carefully selected this one on Trip.com after a long search. It's clean and the staff are very polite and friendly. In the evening, there's a lively bonfire party. The curtains in the stargazing dome don't block out light very well, so the entire room gets quite bright once the sun comes up â that could definitely be improved.
The owner also has bunnies and lambs, and provides vegetable leaves for children to feed the animals, which was a fantastic experience. The scenery of Huiteng Grassland is truly beautiful; stunning views can heal everything. Finally, a note for those with high sleep quality requirements: I feel one night here is probably enough.

YexilanI went to Xiangshawan with my kids and compared a few hotels. The other three were all-inclusive, but since my kids are older, they'd have to pay extra, and they weren't really interested in the activities at Xiansha Island, so I chose this one instead.
We drove to the Hualian Tourist Resort reception center to check in. After getting our wristbands and handing over our luggage to the staff, we took Cable Car No. 3 to the island. I added the butler on WeChat and contacted them after getting off the cable car to arrange a shuttle. The jeep shuttle drove quite fast, which the kids loved. They said our luggage would take 2-3 hours to arrive, but it actually came about half an hour after we got to our room.
Because I left a note when booking asking for a quiet room, we were assigned to Zone 3, which is quite far away. It was a bit of a walk in and out. I noticed most guests around us had kids; some played late into the night, others woke up early to play, so I guess no matter where you stay, it won't be perfectly quiet. The room facilities were pretty good, and the space was quite large. The bathroom was very similar to those in Japanese hotels. There was a wooden drying rack, which many people moved outside their doors to air-dry their swimsuits overnight.
The service was excellent. The WeChat butler answered all my questions promptly. The only issue was the light and noise affecting sleep; it was as bright as midday at 6 AM. Luckily, I had brought my own eye mask and earplugs.

Here's the updated review with that additional context:
Full Version
We had a wonderful stay, largely thanks to one of the owners who went out of their way to organize activities for us and made our experience truly memorable. The dinner and show were fantasticâfeaturing original-style Mongolian traditional dance and singing that felt authentic and captivating. Both lunch and dinner were excellent, and we were especially impressed by the Lamb Bao served at breakfast. Overall, the service and warmth from the people were genuinely good.
That said, all the costs were quite expensive compared to what I'm used to after living and traveling in China for more than 10 years. I would recommend the horse riding off the main area, as they suggest, but the Happy Ranch was not that fulfillingâmost of the rides and activities there weren't worth the time or money. That's an external activity though, so no discredit to the hotel itself. While we didn't end up using the actual amenities, the hospitality and cultural performance alone made the visit worthwhile.
Balanced Short Version (Google/TripAdvisor):
Great experience thanks to one of the owners, who personally organized activities for us. The dinner and show were a highlightâoriginal Mongolian traditional dance and singing that was unique and impressive. Food was excellent at all meals, especially the Lamb Bao at breakfast, and the staff were genuinely warm. Costs were quite high compared to what I'm used to after 10+ years in China. I recommend the horse riding off the main area as suggested, but the Happy Ranch activities weren't worth the time or moneyâthough that's external, not the hotel's fault. Didn't use the actual hotel amenities, but the hospitality and performance were good.

Julia TenIt was a truly wonderful experience. The place is beautiful, with clean and comfortable panoramic yurts decorated with great taste and attention to detail. The beds were very comfortable, and the bed linen was of high quality. Hot water and air conditioning worked perfectly throughout our stay.
The staff speak English and were incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted us in planning a one-day program, during which we enjoyed an exciting theatrical performance. The kids especially loved the horse riding and cart rides.
There is also a restaurant on the territory, which is very convenient when traveling with children.
Highly recommended place!

2PixelFew people, beautiful scenery, and family-friendly accommodations equal a perfect vacation! The stylishly designed guest rooms are scattered across the vast grasslands, offering exceptional privacy, allowing children to run freely without disturbing others. The rooms are comfortable, and every space is meticulously designed (sitting by the window, gazing at the grassy slopes and simply relaxing is a great way to unwind). We recommend waking up in the morning to watch the mist drift across the valley, hiking the nearby grassy slopes, enjoying the dairy products of herders, and stargazing by the campfire at nightâthis is the true meaning of âwild luxury.â

First off, the location is truly excellent, a unique advantage. There's a hot spring hotel right next door where you can enjoy a soak. However, the overall management and service facilities are severely lacking! Let's start with the hygiene: urine stains on the toilet seat, hair everywhere you look, and debris falling from the ceiling when you turn on the 'starry sky' light â I honestly don't know what to say. Then there's the service; it feels like there's barely any service at all. For example, regarding the hot spring tickets included in the package, shouldn't you remind guests beforehand to bring their own swimsuits? (Mine cost over 300 yuan!) And for the volcano tickets, shouldn't you confirm guest information and redeem them in advance? (When I was ready to leave and went to the front desk for the tickets, they told me to buy them on the spot, then I had to provide my ID again and go to another ticket office to exchange them. This whole process took a good half hour!) I can accept your high prices, but at the very least, your service and hygiene should match. I hope you see this review and make improvements. Don't disappoint customers who've traveled so far to get here!

Guest UserThe room was clean and had a fridge, range hood, and washing machine. The location is super convenient, within walking distance to Jokhang Temple, Kuan Alley, Wangfujing Outlets, and other commercial areas. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby. The front desk service was excellent. I'd definitely come back again.

LibuliNear the shore of Dali Hunan, there are many yurts in the yard, with air conditioning and private bathroom. The conditions are definitely not as good as the hotel, but it is acceptable. Because it rains, dinner is also solved in the store. The taste is very good. Go to the south bank to find the boss to ask for the address. The pasture was originally 20/person, and the accommodation guests were 10/person. The ranch can drive a motorcycle directly to the shore, which is very exciting

Guest UserIf youâre staying in Hohhot and want a genuine, memorable experience, this is the place!!!
I canât recommend this homestay enough. From the moment we stepped into the compound, the warmth of the family was immediately felt. Youâll be welcomed by a lovely lady, her husband, and his brother, who treat you less like a guest and more like family.
Within minutes of arriving, they greeted us with snacks, a gift, and let us know they were already preparing a local dinner. We sat down with them that evening, sharing a spread of local dishes and drinks, it was a genuinely special night. I donât speak a word of Chinese, and yet through Translate we had a wonderful time together. Before heading to bed, they asked what time we needed to leave in the morning so breakfast would be ready for us which was very nice!
Morning came with their dogs greeting us and a delicious homemade local breakfast waiting at the table.
As for the yurt itself, itâs beautiful and incredibly cozy inside, exactly what youâd hope for. Thereâs heating in there in case you get cold as well.
We stayed two nights, and on our second evening we had to turn in early for an early flight. The other guest, though, stayed up late singing and dancing with the family, which honestly made me wish we could have stayed longer.
Iâd give this place a 20/10 if I could. I booked it thinking it was just somewhere interesting to sleep for the night. What I didnât know was that it would end up being a highlight of my trip to China.
