Fantastic stay, five stars all around! 👍 The hotel's location is super convenient, making it easy to get around. My room was spotless and fresh, with no odd smells, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable. The soundproofing was excellent; I slept like a baby until morning. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, check-in was a breeze, and housekeeping was very prompt. All the facilities were in great working order. Definitely great value for money, and I'll absolutely choose this hotel again on my next visit. Highly recommend it to everyone!

The hotel's decor is distinctly Mongolian, and the location is excellent, right next to the Bawang River with a large green area along the riverbank—perfect for dog owners. The service was exceptional; they were very responsive and even upgraded my room. I was particularly impressed with the receptionist, Feng Yuchen, who shares the same name as my friend 😂. He was always there to help with any issues. This hotel was undoubtedly the most satisfying part of my trip to Ulanqab.

Location: Situated right by the main road in Hohhot, with a Wanda Plaza nearby and a food street in the residential area behind. It's also very close to the East Station and the Inner Mongolia Museum. Environment: The hotel boasts luxurious decor with a distinct ethnic flair. Although it's not new, the facilities are well-maintained. Room: The room size isn't particularly large, but the layout is quite functional. The air conditioning was advertised as adjustable, but it consistently showed 24 degrees Celsius for both nights I stayed, which felt a bit warm. Breakfast: The breakfast is quite commendable, featuring a good selection of local Mongolian specialties. The lamb offal soup and shaomai were both delicious.

First off, the location is truly excellent, a unique advantage. There's a hot spring hotel right next door where you can enjoy a soak. However, the overall management and service facilities are severely lacking! Let's start with the hygiene: urine stains on the toilet seat, hair everywhere you look, and debris falling from the ceiling when you turn on the 'starry sky' light – I honestly don't know what to say. Then there's the service; it feels like there's barely any service at all. For example, regarding the hot spring tickets included in the package, shouldn't you remind guests beforehand to bring their own swimsuits? (Mine cost over 300 yuan!) And for the volcano tickets, shouldn't you confirm guest information and redeem them in advance? (When I was ready to leave and went to the front desk for the tickets, they told me to buy them on the spot, then I had to provide my ID again and go to another ticket office to exchange them. This whole process took a good half hour!) I can accept your high prices, but at the very least, your service and hygiene should match. I hope you see this review and make improvements. Don't disappoint customers who've traveled so far to get here!

There are many B&Bs around the volcano. I thought this one has three stores and is relatively large, so I decided to stay at this one. We were upgraded to a starry sky room. The room was very big, with two double beds, and it was cleaned very well. The bedding and towels should all be washed together, very new and clean ~ But the horse-riding sculpture outside the window looks a bit scary 😅 It was still very cold during the May Day holiday. I turned on the air conditioner and covered myself with a quilt at night. The quilt was quite thick. The bathroom is still quite cold. But there is nothing we can do about it. At night, I caught someone setting off firecrackers after 10 o'clock. It was right next to the house. It was very noisy. There should be regulations on the area and time for setting off firecrackers. It is not very friendly to the baby's sleep. I hope it will be improved~

I really didn't expect the homestay next to the volcano to have such a delicious meal! Before I came, I had prepared to eat around the scenic spot and it was expensive and unpalatable. As a result, the hotel restaurant directly served me. First of all, breakfast surprised me. The lamb roasted wheat skin was thinly stuffed, and the juice was bursting in one mouth. There were steamed buns and hot millet porridge. It was too comfortable to eat. For dinner, we ordered the meat and roast lamb chops, which are freshly killed fresh lamb, sprinkled with dried ingredients to the feet, and the horse milk wine is also very authentic, which is mellower than I drank in Hohhot city before. The boss also sent us homemade milk scallops and milk chewing mouth to try, pure and no added milk fragrance is particularly sufficient, we also bought several packs to take home to send friends, just for this stutter I am willing to live again!

I highly recommend this hotel; it's so traveler-friendly! Transportation is excellent. After taking the airport shuttle bus from the airport, you can walk directly to the hotel. Even if you arrive late, there's no need to worry about airport pickup or late-night travel. This is so reassuring. The price is also very affordable, a fantastic value. Although the hotel isn't new, it's very clean and comfortable. The service is impeccable. We extended our stay for another night, and the staff were incredibly attentive. They provided plenty of toiletries for the children, and their attention to detail was evident. The most surprising thing was the breakfast; it was not only delicious but also incredibly varied! It's perfect for travelers on a tight schedule. You don't have to search for a snack bar; you can fill up at the buffet and enjoy a wide variety of flavors, making it a perfect dining experience. In short, this hotel offers convenient transportation, great value, attentive service, and a fantastic breakfast. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling!

One of the pleasant surprises of this trip was discovering this newly opened hotel. It's incredibly quiet and elegant, with excellent natural light and ventilation. Unexpectedly, it was super clean, not a single bug! Previously, I'd read reviews about guesthouses/yurts in Mongolia often having issues with showering, but this place was completely different. There was hot water, and the pressure was surprisingly strong – it was so comfortable, I really didn't expect it! The bedding was incredibly soft, and I had a wonderfully comfortable sleep. Plus, the service was exceptional. When we first arrived, a staff member immediately helped us carry our luggage upstairs – so thoughtful! In the evening, there was a bonfire party and performance, and the restaurant next door served delicious food. The complimentary breakfast, featuring their special lamb offal soup, was absolutely amazing. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations, and I hope they can maintain this excellent standard!

The service was absolutely top-notch. We originally booked a standard room with two 1.35m beds, but the hotel staff noticed our child was a bit older and proactively upgraded our room type. In terms of hygiene, the towels, bath towels, and even the shower slippers were all individually sealed in disinfectant bags. This alone sets them apart from so many other hotels. It was a very pleasant stay.

GGuest UserI booked this tent because I wanted my child to be able to play in the sand right outside. First, the positives: The room was unexpectedly spacious and clean, with new and tasteful furniture. Even though it's a tent, it felt very stable during windy nights. The room's location was truly excellent. We stayed in room 1019, which was at the very end, with sand dunes right outside our door. Adults could sit at their tent entrance and watch their children dig and slide in the sand – it was very convenient and felt like a real vacation. Although meals aren't provided, there's a BBQ and hotpot restaurant just over a small dune, open from 6-10 pm, which was good enough. However, there were a few minor downsides: There was no hot water at the sink. While I understand that conditions are limited in the desert, it was very uncomfortable to wash hands and face with icy cold water when the temperature was low, especially since my child needed to wash their hands frequently after playing in the sand. I suggest the hotel's vending machines sell some wet wipes. When checking in, I asked the front desk if we needed to wear sand-proof shoe covers on the way to the tent, and the staff said no. This was completely misleading. There were many sections on the way where we had to walk through sand. Without shoe covers, sand definitely got into our shoes by the time we reached the tent. Checking in required purchasing a ticket package for Yuesha Island. We didn't actually use any of the facilities on Yuesha Island. It would have been better if this cost was included in the room rate. Otherwise, if you don't look closely at the booking, you might not notice this fee. Ultimately, the value for money wasn't as good as Fusha. However, being able to play in the sand right outside was my core requirement, so I didn't fuss about the price. Frankly, with these conditions in the desert, I would have been fine paying over a thousand yuan a night. Splitting it into a room fee and a package fee just made the package feel not worth it. Finally, when we returned to the tent at around 9 pm, we found the air conditioner was broken. With temperatures around 5-6 degrees Celsius, and my child having just returned from playing in the sand outside, the need for warmth was immense. We reported the AC issue to the housekeeper. Although they dealt with it immediately, it wasn't resolved until close to 10 or 11 pm. My child took a hot shower before the AC repair person arrived, and we were very nervous while drying him off, fearing he might get sick. After sleeping through the night, it still felt very cold in the tent in the morning. While the tent experience was fun, we really didn't dare to stay a second night. And the fact that the camp didn't offer any form of apology or comfort for the broken AC was disappointing. The next day, it was as if nothing had happened. In Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, something like this would at least warrant a complimentary afternoon tea or something similar. Of course, later, when I slipped and fell at the Lotus Hotel and they also offered no acknowledgment, this incident with the AC seemed less significant in comparison. Perhaps this is just the level of service here. Overall, without the AC issue, I would have given it five stars.

KKhrystanne GeorgeThis is exactly what a Grassland stay should be, and more! Our time at Xilamuren Grassland Tourism Resort will forever be etched in my heart. From the moment we arrived, the owner welcomed us like family, going above and beyond to recommend attractions, arrange tickets, and even personally drive us to the sites. Where else do you find service like that—done with a constant smile and thoughtful touches like free bottled water to keep us refreshed? Staying in a traditional yurt on the open grassland is an experience beyond words. There is something grounding, peaceful, and almost spiritual about waking up to endless green horizons instead of concrete grey, hearing the soft rustle of the prairie wind, and watching the morning light sweep across the landscape. This isn’t just accommodation...it’s an authentic encounter with the beauty of Inner Mongolia. Anyone visiting the region simply must experience this once in a lifetime.

GGuest UserI brought my family to Xilamuren Grassland this time and we stayed at the Saibei Inn. The inn is right on the grassland, so stepping out, you're greeted by endless plains. The view is incredibly open and the air is fresh. In the mornings and evenings, you can enjoy a cool breeze, which is really refreshing. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding tidy, and all the basic amenities were provided, making for a comfortable stay. Both the owner and staff were very warm and genuine, always willing to help when needed. It's also very convenient for sightseeing around; horseback riding and other grassland activities are all nearby. You can even enjoy the grassland nightscape in the evening. We had a great experience with both the food and accommodation here. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to the grasslands.

AAnonymous UserThe room was quite good and clean for the price. It's also really convenient being so close to the Affiliated Hospital of Medical University. The best part was the spaciousness of the room. They provided free disposable toilet seat covers, and the shampoo and shower gel were individually packaged. Definitely recommend it.

TTienneA comfortable stay in a great location, the yurts are located just a ten minute walk away from the ticket counter for the Dalinuoer Lake Scenic Area. It's a pretty small town, so it's also close to pretty much every restaurant. The boss is also very friendly, he answered all my questions and helped me with finding transportation. The conditions of the yurt are actually quite good, there's a heating/air conditioning unit, which I used to keep cozy at night, and a full bathroom (shower, toilet, sink, hot water etc.). There's also a TV, a variety of charging cables, and free WiFi. The bed is massive, very comfortable and able to fit a family. Body wash, shampoo, hairdryer, toothbrush and toothpaste are provided. For those who may be concerned about such things, it may be useful to note that the door locks from the inside using a deadbolt, and when you leave your yurt for the day you lock it from the outside with a padlock as there's no electronic lock or keycard. It didn't bother me and since the town is very small, I felt pretty safe. As for cleanliness, for what it is (essentially a semi-permanent tent in the rural grasslands) it's very clean. There are vinyl floors and clean sheets, everything seems well maintained. Sometimes little critters like moths fly in, but this is glamping. Of course you shouldn't expect the same type of environment as a regular five star hotel. Overall I had a wonderful experience here! Felt connected to nature while still enjoying my creature comforts.

GGuest UserWhen I booked the hotel, I was intrigued by the yurts I saw, and after checking in, I found that they were exactly the same as the promotional pictures. The yurts were quite close to the airport, making it convenient to explore the surrounding area. The furnishings inside were new and photogenic, and there was even heating. The owners were very friendly, and this guesthouse and Hohhot left me with a good impression. I look forward to returning.

GGuest UserAmazing place! Amazing hosts! Amazing team! Amazing service! The Aershan Guiye Homestay (阿尔山归野宿集民宿) is a beautiful little boutique hotel where nothing is missing: the rooms are gorgeous and spotlessly clean, and the team is incredibly friendly and helpful. A real highlight is the delicious tea ceremony – the perfect way to end the evening while sharing stories. The hosts make it so easy to feel at home! If you need help organizing your trip, you can fully rely on the hotel team – simply fantastic. The Aershan Guiye Homestay (阿尔山归野宿集民宿) is located right by the riverside promenade and close to the city center. There’s nothing better than strolling back to the hotel after an iced hotpot, across the town square and along the river – highly recommended! If you’re stopping in Aershan, you should definitely stay at the Aershan Guiye Homestay (阿尔山归野宿集民宿). We would come back anytime – and we already miss our wonderful hosts!

GGuest UserI really enjoyed my stay here!! The yurt was spacious, the design was a bit old-fashioned and basic but everything was functional. The activities were explained together with their price. I just chose the dinner and it was great. Samples of traditional meals, dances and the unique throat singing, and one could even wear the traditional clothes. Very touristy but fun!The other resorts are quite nearby tho so it wasnt as deserted as I was expecting but still gives one an idea of the grassland atmosphere. The staff was amazing! They took extraordinary care of me. They picked me up on the bus stop even without me requesting it and the next day drove me to the nearest town when the roads got flooded and the buses wouldn't come. They did it for free and my entire stay were really friendly and trying to make me feel welcome 😊
