The deluxe suite was big and comfortable. Only downside was the sofa bed in the living area - not comfortable to sit on as the cushion had thinned out and you could feel the steel bars when sitting on it. We did not use it for sleeping as there were only two of us. I can't imagine that it will be comfortable for sleeping. The guy at the reception told us that they were gradually replacing the worn sofa beds in the suites. So that's good news, but why gradually (?). As the hotel is slightly off the main road, there's not much noise from the traffic, good for light sleepers.

Perfect for family trips and couples! The hotel is right next to Batu Ferringhi Beach, with direct access to the public beach. The hotel's pool is also fantastic, and the lush greenery and coconut trees give it a wonderful tropical vibe. We booked a sea-view room and successfully got a room in a central location after requesting to avoid the end-of-corridor rooms at check-in. The breakfast selection is decent. You'll need some basic English as there are generally no Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk.

Stayed for three nights, and it was the most unforgettable apartment of our trip – a truly delightful surprise! I'll always remember my room number, 18-1, with its incredible oceanfront view. There's a private beach right downstairs, and delicious nasi lemak across the street. I definitely have to go back and stay again!

A very nice hotel with spacious rooms, right by the sea. It's about a 10-15 minute taxi ride to the city center. This time, our room even had a washing machine, so my mom didn't have to worry about our clothes getting smelly in the summer anymore! **Environment:** Great. The restaurants nearby are also affordable and serve delicious food. **Facilities:** Quite new.

Good stay at Jazz Hotel Penang 👍 Really satisfied with my trip here. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a bathtub and even a complimentary bath bomb which made the stay extra relaxing. Love the rooftop pool and the overall modern vibe. Location is convenient — walking distance to Straits Quay and easy access to Gurney area for food. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Overall a pleasant experience, will definitely come back again!

Very good location. Clean rooms. Right in the middle of Georgetown. Easy to find local foods. Just step out the hotel can easily get yummy local foods like char kuay tiaw, laksa, thai foods, noodle soups, dim sum and durian. Indian Curry Fish Head at Pelita Restaurant. Close to Gamma supermarket where you can find cheap stuffs. And walking distant to famous charwastta market. We will definitely come back to stay at this hotel if we return to Penang.

Check-in: we arrived after midnight. No problem. Room: stayed in a twin bedroom. Tall ceiling, spacious. Toilet and shower cubicles are separated. Good layout. No complaints! Communal area: some people say the maintenance is not up to standard. I saw some water stains on the wall. To me it’s no big deal. Location: walkable distance to Komtar Building on 1st street to Lebuh Cecil Pasar on 7th street, and to Hins bus depot. Very good! Beyond that better take Grab. Breakfast: good selection. Ok quality. Good view. Check out: we used the left luggage service but it took more than 10 mins to get back. So factor in more time to avoid tight schedule to the airport. Overall: I have no problem to return to this hotel when it’s still relatively new!

The hotel is located in the heart of George Town, right next to a large shopping mall. While there wasn't much to buy, it's conveniently close to the main city attractions, all within walking distance. I arrived at the hotel around 9 AM on an early flight from the airport, which took about 30 minutes. Luckily, there was a room available at check-in, and I was able to get an early check-in. The hotel shows its age a bit, with some older room facilities, but everything was functional. The breakfast was quite rich, and the lady at the noodle station was particularly enthusiastic. She eagerly introduced the daily specials and even mentioned that I wouldn't get to taste that specific flavor the next day! Overall, the hotel offers good value for money.

Everything is good..the room is clean and comfortable, the view is beautiful. The beach is behind the resort. Only the elevator had a big problem. It was too slow, and we waited 20 minutes but still couldn't go down. Full of people. We had to use the stairs to go down to the 15th floor.

GGuest Userthis hotel is good overall, but when we arrived, they told us that we didn't have a booking with them and they couldn't locate our booking and details. the room was also said to be taken, and they are waiting for a cancellation in order to get our room. There is a lot of confusion among staff. some visitors were told to leave their rooms once they have entered. we waiting 1 hr 30 min to get our room. so check in was at 4.30pm. parking was also very inconvenient, as we had to park at the basement, which was impossible to even get one if you came into the hotel late and a T&G card was also needed to get validated before leaving the hotel if we wanted a free spot. Room was very spacious and clean. the tea and coffee was hard like its never been changed.

GGuest UserA bit far from Batu Ferringhi and Teluk Bahang, where the kids love to play, but very close to the core area of Penang. Suitable for young adults and seniors. Breakfast was pretty good, and the kids absolutely loved the pool. It's not far from central Penang, so shopping and dining are convenient. The melodious call to prayer from the mosque outside lulled us to sleep. Cons: The air conditioning in the lobby was too cold. You could see the distant Penang Bridge, but where was the bay view? :)

XXiaotuzijiadexiaopangmiaoFacilities: The hotel has complete facilities, everything you need is there. Hygiene: The hygiene is good, no obvious oversights. Environment: Facing the Strait of Malacca. Service: They helped with our luggage. As an antique hotel, its value for money is truly excellent. You can stay for just over 1000 [currency unit]. Online, the Heritage Wing is more recommended, but because of its age, we chose the newer Victory Annexe. Before checking in, I saw some online reviews and was a bit worried, but after experiencing it firsthand, I found it to be quite good. First, upon arrival, the staff at the entrance were very attentive. When our car pulled up, they helped with our luggage, and the luggage was even delivered to our room. When checking in, there was a Chinese-speaking person at the front desk, but it seemed most could only speak English. However, simple English was fine, and they also used gestures, making the process very smooth. The room assignment was also quick. After checking in, the hotel balcony faced the sea. This hotel is quite popular, with all kinds of nationalities, but there was no obvious favoritism towards Caucasians or discrimination against Chinese. Perhaps because I'm someone with strong boundaries, every staff member I encountered smiled and nodded in greeting, which even made me feel a bit shy; there was no coldness. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Blue Mansion. You can go for a city walk when you step out – still highly recommended!

MMontYQingdaoThis is one of the loveliest hotels we have stayed at. The staff is exceptional and extremely friendly. The environment is elegant and welcoming. The grounds are impeccably manicured. The dining experience is classy but reasonably priced. The rooms are well cared for, comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet has a wide array of options and is very delicious. This hotel is very remote and is a fifty minute drive to Georgetown....but the seaview is worth the extra traveling. Thanks to the ENTIRE staff for giving us such lasting memories. 💛💛

GGuest UserFive stars all around! Big shout-out to the friendly front desk staff. I was torn between JEN Hotel and Wembley, but ultimately chose Wembley because I saw reviews mentioning early check-in, which was a huge draw for me. It's also Chinese-friendly, and the front desk staff can communicate in Chinese. Even though rooms were very tight during Chinese New Year, the hotel still allowed me to check in quite a bit earlier. This gave me a precious three-hour nap, helping me avoid the hottest part of the day and making my first day of sightseeing rich and energetic. Wembley and JEN are just across the street from each other, but Wembley is on higher floors, offering a more expansive view. It's only about 700-800 meters to both Mural Street and the Clan Jetties. There are also plenty of shopping and food courts nearby. The hotel itself is well-maintained, and soundproofing is decent. My only minor complaint: For two adults and one child, we requested an extra comforter, but they brought a blanket instead. Using just a blanket requires quite some courage!

GGuest UserThe semi-transparent door in the room is really not family-friendly, and it doesn't close properly, always leaving a 3cm gap. This severely impacts the sense of security. After complaining to the staff, they just put a lock on with double-sided tape, which, while it allowed the door to lock and reduced the gap, still didn't make it close flush. On top of that, the water pressure is extremely low, and the overhead shower is unusable. The staff mentioned that many guests have complained about this, but it still hasn't been fixed. Although there are two air conditioners in the room, one frequently turns off by itself, requiring me to switch it back on multiple times throughout the night, which disturbed my sleep. The light above the bed was also broken and kept flickering. However, the staff were generally friendly, and the hotel itself is spacious and quite clean.

HhowieyoudoinWe enjoyed our stay overall. The room was big with a gerat view, and the breakfast selection was nice and satisfying. However, some details dampened the experience. The room amenities were very basic (the soap and shampoo felt like locker room supplies) and the towels were rough. The bed was also softer than we prefer. The rooftop pool area is nice, but the building design blocks the sun when you're in the water, and the pool itself was quite cold. Heating the pool would be better since it's really windy on the rooftop. A minor note: Our late check-in after midnight caused some confusion since we hadn't arrived the previous day, which made the process longer than expected. And we were told to pay an additional heritage tax (even though it was small). This is a good hotel with strong fundamentals, but a few upgrades would help.
