The environment here is absolutely fantastic! Coming to Fuzhou with so many Ming and Qing dynasty buildings, I initially chose a guesthouse converted from an ancient building, and I wasn't disappointed at all. The hygiene is excellent, with no unpleasant odors whatsoever. It's worth mentioning how lovely the shampoo is; at previous hotels, my hair would always feel dry after washing, but here it feels great. The activities in the courtyard are perfect for kids, like calligraphy tools and the old-fashioned well for drawing water. While playing, a faint scent of osmanthus would occasionally drift by. You can truly relax and unwind without even needing to leave the property. Opening the door in the morning, you're greeted by the vibrant atmosphere of an old residential neighborhood – the smell of residents cooking dinner, the scent of wood emanating from the old houses, and the sound of footsteps on the wooden廊 (corridor). It was enough to calm even the most mischievous child.

The hotel room I booked was a Luxury Executive River View Room, facing the southwest corner. The views and natural light were excellent, and privacy was high. It's truly one of Fuzhou's top room types. The interior space is large, with mostly wooden flooring and some carpeting – very impressive. The hotel also features a pool and gym with fantastic views, as well as an afternoon tea restaurant, all of which are of a very high standard. The afternoon tea cakes are freshly made, and the breakfast selection is quite rich and delicious, with fresh and light flavors. If I had to mention any shortcomings, it would be that some in-room facilities could be upgraded. For instance, the toilet isn't automatic, and the showerhead and faucet operation are a bit too traditional and impractical. There aren't full-room electric curtains, and the TV clarity isn't great. Also, the toothbrushes and toothpaste aren't from a well-known brand. If they could upgrade these details, it would be perfect. **Cleanliness**: Very clean and tidy, satisfactory. **Service**: There's butler service and reception at the entrance to help with luggage, etc. Check-in required queuing due to many guests, but the service felt very good. **Environment/Location**: The location is excellent, right in the city center. Minjiang Park is right at your doorstep, and nearby shopping malls and attractions are not far, all within a short taxi ride. This room design is very suitable for couples.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to the cruise terminal and directly opposite Gulangyu Island. It's also conveniently close to other attractions, making getting around a breeze. The hotel itself is quite nice, with good facilities and spacious rooms, and the service is top-notch. The breakfast spread is extensive, though the only minor drawback is that they're a bit slow to replenish items. This would be my first choice for hotels in Xiamen.

The room wasn't huge, but it was clean and tidy. The service was good, and we appreciated being able to cook – especially since we had elderly family members who prefer home-cooked meals. It was a nice touch. The location is very convenient for transportation; it's close to the seafood market, Zhongshan Road, and a supermarket. I'd recommend getting your fruit from the supermarket, it's less than 50 meters away. Getting a ride-sharing car was easy and affordable, and there were shared bikes available too. Even though it's in an old neighborhood, it has its own charm, allowing us to experience the daily life of people in Xiamen's old quarter. The streets and alleys are well-connected and lead everywhere. We also tried Drunken One Seafood Restaurant, and even at 11 PM, it was packed! The grilled eel and steamed grouper were absolutely delicious. Overall, this guesthouse has a great location and was easy to find.

The rooms are well-equipped and the lobby has a modern feel, but the staff's service awareness isn't quite on par with established five-star hotels. There was no one at the entrance to help with luggage, and when I asked why, they said they were too busy... The location is very convenient, with a subway station right downstairs. The breakfast selection is rich and tasty, and it wasn't too crowded. It's great for business travelers, but not ideal for family trips. The bathtub in the room was a highlight, but it lacked bath salts. One thing I hope they improve is the absence of even basic coffee sachets or capsules in the room. When I called to inquire, they said only the Grand View rooms have them, which is a downside for business travelers. This small cost improvement in service philosophy is definitely worth considering.

The environment is quite enchanting. Our room was on the outer perimeter, but unfortunately, there's a villa being built next door. It didn't affect us since we were out most of the day, but if you plan on relaxing in the room, it can get a bit noisy (though earplugs are provided in the room). This hotel is great for those who enjoy morning runs or walks. You can use your room key to access the Chongyang Stream scenic trail by the river, offering beautiful mountain views. The hotel's breakfast buffet is really good, with a decent variety. You absolutely *must* try the lard noodles and Zixi noodles, loaded with toppings – they're super delicious! In the room, having two sinks is very convenient for two people, but a small detail to note: the inner rim of the washbasin area should be cleaned regularly to prevent mold. There's also a good selection of pillows to choose from, so you can find one that suits you. The hotel also offers some nice free experiences, like various handicraft workshops. We didn't try the travel photography though.

An extremely satisfying stay. The B&B is located right inside Sanfang Qixiang (Three Lanes and Seven Alleys), giving it an excellent location. One turn takes you to the main street of Sanfang Qixiang, and in the other direction are Dongbai Center and the subway station. You can order takeout from virtually all the trendy Fuzhou restaurants you can think of. The B&B's decor is very antique and charming, yet it doesn't lack essential modern and stylish facilities. What truly stands out is the service. From picking us up at the subway station upon arrival, to helping us wash and dry our clothes, to the daily breakfast featuring a changing variety of local Fuzhou snacks, and finally to helping us load our luggage into the car and even sending us off with some fruit when we checked out – we truly felt at home. Although one night we didn't sleep well due to noisy neighbors, we informed the manager the next day, and he promptly helped us by moving our room to a quieter area. Ban She is highly recommended to all tourists who wish to stay in Sanfang Qixiang.

What's even more remarkable is that despite his exceptional service, he refused to accept any tips. His kindness and generosity truly made our stay memorable. If you're looking for a hotel that offers not only stunning views but also exceptional service, look no further. This hotel is a must-book, especially if you're looking for a beach view. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. As soon as you see the pictures of this hotel, you'll know why it's a gem. The beach views are simply stunning, and the hotel's amenities are top-notch. Overall, I'd reluctantly give it a 5 out of 10. The room size was decent for our family, with enough space to move around. However, the floor felt a bit dirty, which might have been due to the carpet affecting the visual perception. But in areas without carpet, there was noticeable dust, especially on the tables and nightstands. I had to wipe them down myself with wet wipes, and you could clearly see the dust marks on the tissues. Breakfast was even worse – very limited variety. There was practically nothing suitable for young children. Perhaps it's just that we Cantonese aren't used to those flavors, but I feel like for two days, my family and I basically subsisted on plain congee and boiled eggs.

This holiday, I brought my family to stay at the Fuzhou Haiyingwan Baixiang Resort, and it was truly a delightful and memorable experience. The hotel is located on the Changle coastline, very close to the airport, and offers a 24-hour complimentary airport shuttle service. For families traveling with children like us, it was incredibly convenient and stress-free! The hotel's environment is absolutely beautiful, truly embodying the phrase ”facing the sea, with spring blossoms.” The garden design is unique, with swaying palm trees. Opening the window reveals a spectacular sea view. Strolling along the seaside boardwalk in the evening, with the sea breeze and the sound of the waves, was incredibly relaxing. The beach is right outside, where the kids had a blast catching crabs, digging in the sand, and playing in the waves. The hotel breakfast was very rich, with a wide variety of fresh ingredients, and the taste was excellent. I especially want to thank Pudding for her incredibly attentive service. After we checked in, she meticulously helped us arrange the complimentary airport drop-off service, ensuring a seamless transition once the time was confirmed. It was fantastic. In summary, whether it's the environment, facilities, or service, Haiyingwan Baixiang Resort left us with an excellent impression. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable, and family-friendly or couple-friendly getaway near Fuzhou! We will definitely come back again if we have the chance!
