Qian Mansion is like a hidden paradise tucked away in an alley. It's full of Republic of China-era charm, and the courtyard and public areas are perfect for taking photos. The rooms are unique and very clean. The staff, from the front desk to everyone else, were all warm and attentive. There are even cute little cats in the courtyard. It was a wonderful experience in Xiamen.

Please disregard the overall rating; the actual stay experience is detailed below. My reviews are always honest, but as fellow travelers, we understand the struggle, so I've given everything a 5-star rating this time. First, let's talk about the positives. The Xiamen Hotel's location is indeed excellent. It's right next to the famous internet-hyped restaurant, Xiaoyanjing Da Pai Dang (which I honestly didn't find as good as online reviews suggested). Xiamen Botanical Garden's west gate is a short walk away, about ten minutes at most. Zhongshan Road is a 15-minute bike ride. The bus stop right outside has many routes (Xiamen's buses are a crucial mode of transport), making it very convenient to get to Xiamen Railway Station (to try Zhu Fugui), the ferry terminal, and so on. The hotel is also a ten-minute walk from the subway station (Zhongshan Park Station). As for accommodation, the front desk upgraded my room type. Although the facilities are a bit old, the stay experience was still good. This is understandable, as it's an older hotel, and you can see traces of its history in the decor throughout the building. Also, the hotel staff replaced the mattress with a firm one, which I appreciate. Now for the rest. I believe hotel breakfast is the most direct way for tourists to understand a city and experience a hotel's service. However, Xiamen Hotel's breakfast was quite disappointing. There were only two coffee machines, one of which looked ancient, and the other was broken and not promptly repaired. While there was a variety of breakfast items, they were largely uninspired; perhaps the highlight was the many flavors of tea eggs. The fruit selection was very limited and didn't seem fresh. Among the live-cooking Xiamen specialty snacks, I only found the 'bian shi' (wontons) to be good (but they didn't offer dried shrimp skin...). I'm not sure if the others just aren't to my taste or if the hotel didn't prepare them well. Of the other hot dishes, only the fish balls were decent; the rest were mediocre. And the fried dough sticks (youtiao) were extremely bad – hard and dry. How were these made? Is making youtiao really that difficult? They should learn from excellent counterparts like Yuzhou Hotel and at least get something as simple as youtiao right... The laundry service is self-service, but the experience was very poor. There are too many guests and too few washing machines, so you often have to wait in line until late at night. The machines also don't work well. I hope the hotel can improve this. Overall, the entire stay experience was acceptable. I hope to see improvements when I visit next time.

The room and the hotel photos were consistent. The room wasn't big, but it was well-equipped. The location is very convenient, not far from Sanfang Qixiang, Youth Association, Shangxiahang, and Yantai Mountain. There are many restaurants and a market nearby, which is great.

This is probably the best hotel in Xiamen. The entire resort is huge, with beautifully maintained vegetation and plenty of attractions. There's a must-see succulent and cactus garden 🌵, as well as colorful bougainvillea and elephant foot trees, and mountain trails. I even regretted going to the botanical garden the day before with all the crowds. The service was excellent; they upgraded us to a resort villa suite. However, I have to say, some of the facilities are a bit old. The safe was broken on the first day, and the smart toilet broke on the second day, but the staff responded quickly and fixed everything. The hotel is directly across from the beach and has several pools, making it quite suitable for families with children. Overall, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it. The attached photos show the beautiful scenery within the hotel resort. This is a genuine review. The hotel didn't ask me to write a good one, which is nice.

I highly recommend this guesthouse for anyone visiting Xiamen! The location is absolutely fantastic, right near Zhongshan Road and the Eight Market. You can step out and immediately find authentic Shacha noodles and ginger duck, making sightseeing and dining incredibly convenient. The room was spotless, with a cozy and elegant layout, soft and comfortable bedding, and excellent soundproofing, ensuring a quiet and peaceful night. The facilities are comprehensive, with a laundry and drying room on the top floor which was super handy. The owner and staff were warm and attentive, providing thoughtful and meticulous service. It offers incredible value for money and is an excellent choice for accommodation in Xiamen. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit! The front desk also provides a food guide – just follow their recommendations, and you can't go wrong!

The hotel staff were incredibly attentive. The breakfast was bountiful, and the oily noodles with wontons were absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself was clean and tidy, and there's a large outdoor terrace where you can also enjoy breakfast. Eating breakfast on the terrace while watching the activity on Zhongshan Road was truly delightful. There's also a big outdoor terrace. The cleaning staff definitely deserve five stars for promptly changing the bedding; they even proactively asked if we wanted fresh sheets during our stay, which, while basic hygiene, really showcased the hotel's quality. The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions like Gulangyu Wharf and Nanputuo Temple. Initially, I was a bit worried my family might not like it, but the thoughtful and detailed service left them very satisfied.

This guesthouse is perfectly situated on Huandao Road, one of Xiamen's best tourist areas. It offers panoramic views of Gulangyu Island and Xiamen University's Baicheng Beach, with all sea-view rooms. The night view is mesmerizing, and by day, it feels like you're flying above Xiamen with clouds at your feet. The service is warm and attentive, especially friendly to cat lovers. Step downstairs, and you're right on Shapowei Pedestrian Street, which is fantastic! The street is packed with incredibly good value Xiamen specialty foods, a feast for both the eyes and the stomach. This place offers exceptional value for money.

The location is great, within a 20-minute walk you can find plenty of places to eat and shop. All the hotel staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean, and the soundproofing is good. In the evenings, there are always food vendors right outside the hotel, and the food is delicious. Taxis are easy to catch. Just a heads up, some taxi drivers might ask for a small tip for rides under 3 kilometers – hopefully, this is just a very small minority of drivers in Xiamen. I stayed for 3 nights over the May 1st holiday and had a really good experience. I quite liked it! Thumbs up.

We drove 7 hours from Ningbo, and this hotel is right in the city center. For a May Day holiday stay, the value for money was pretty good. Getting around the city is convenient by subway, and the station is right downstairs. Plus, the subway was free on May Day! The room was quite spacious, and I was really happy with the double sinks and bathtub. It was also pretty quiet at night. Breakfast was standard; it probably falls a bit short compared to five-star hotels in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai area. The parking lot is on B3, and driving down there was a bit of a test for my parking skills. All the popular city attractions were swarming with people, so we skipped them, but Fudao is genuinely great. I recommend going early in the morning or around 5 PM, starting at entrance 3, and walking to entrance 5 or 7. It's about 5 kilometers and takes around 1.5 hours.
