"The hotel's location is excellent, right on Zhongshan Road, making it very convenient to walk to Zhongshan Road and the Gulangyu ferry terminal. There's a wide variety of shopping and dining options nearby. The room facilities are also great, with a very thoughtful design. The staff are friendly and even escort guests to their rooms to explain how to use the amenities. The only downside is that most rooms don't have proper outward-facing windows; they are either faux windows or face an inner courtyard. Our window faced the inner courtyard and was essentially just for show."

"I stayed for two nights and have already checked out, so I'm writing my review now. While the facilities aren't perfect, they are certainly adequate. The cleanliness, however, is truly commendable. They pay great attention to detail – the room smelled lovely, and the air conditioning was already on when I arrived. The sheets and duvet covers were visibly spotless, with no stains or anything uncomfortable. I have sensitive skin, but I had no issues sleeping there for two nights.
Secondly, the service was genuinely attentive. I've traveled many times, and the front desk staff at this guesthouse were particularly enthusiastic. They were very knowledgeable about the local dining, entertainment, and attractions, and I always received satisfactory answers to my questions. What's more, the guesthouse provides a washing machine and dryer, along with complimentary laundry detergent. In the summer heat, being able to wash and dry clothes right after coming back is incredibly convenient; otherwise, clothes would start to smell.
As for soundproofing, it wasn't as bad as I expected. I slept very well both nights, with no noise in the middle of the night. The fact that the air conditioning was already on when we checked in was a huge bonus, especially in summer. Just for that pre-cooled room, I think they deserve a good review. The value for money is also excellent; I compared many places before booking this one.
Getting around is also easy. It's on a main road, and the view from the entrance is quite nice, with Gulangyu Island directly opposite. It's not far from Zhongshan Road, just two bus stops away, and the botanical garden is about a kilometer away – a 9 yuan taxi ride for me. Overall, I think it's excellent and highly recommend it to anyone visiting."

Guest UserThis B&B offers fantastic service. During our stay, we had unlimited complimentary drinking water and a wide selection of snacks, including delicious Dahongpao quail eggs. The complimentary fan and drink lanyard were also very practical. We even got a discounted vegetable dish for only 1 yuan when dining at their restaurant, and the prices were generally reasonable. We ate out a few times, but ultimately, we found the food at the B&B to be the best.

The bathroom was clean and tidy, with a well-designed wet and dry separation. The hot water pressure was excellent, and the in-room hot tub experience was fantastic. The view from the window was also very pleasing.

Our stay at Pan Pacific Xiamen was unfortunately below expectations for a hotel of this level.
The biggest issue is that the property and rooms feel significantly dated and in need of refurbishment. The room design, including the excessive use of mirrors, feels from another era, while the television is surprisingly small by current hotel standards. Soundproofing was also poor, which affected the overall comfort of the stay.
We were equally disappointed with the restaurant. Both the quality and portion sizes of the food did not meet our expectations, particularly considering the positioning and pricing of the hotel. This is an area that seriously needs improvement.
The location is reasonably convenient, but not enough to compensate for the ageing rooms and other shortcomings.
The hotel's saving grace is its staff. Everyone we encountered was polite, friendly and genuinely eager to assist, which we appreciated very much. However, while the attitude was consistently positive, there were moments where we felt additional hospitality and service training would help the team deliver a more polished five-star experience.
Overall, there are good people working here, but the physical product and some aspects of the hospitality experience are falling behind newer hotels in Xiamen. A substantial refurbishment, together with further service development, would make a significant difference.

Stumbled upon a Ctrip gem, this B&B was a delightful surprise during my Wuyishan trip. The scenery here is stunning, easily rivaling the Nine-Bend Stream. The owner is incredibly warm and provides excellent service. They even upgraded our room for free, offered complimentary fruit, tea eggs, and health-boosting tea, and the breakfast spread was generous. Their tea factory produces delicious tea, and they even gifted us some when we left. This B&B offers great value for money, especially for someone as particular about cleanliness as I am – I couldn't find a single flaw, even in the nooks and crannies. Highly recommended!

Environment: The hotel is located right next to Wuyi Palace scenic area, at the foot of Dawang Peak. The gardens are beautiful, and the scenery is stunning. Its proximity to the scenic area is very convenient; you can simply walk over. If you want to stay close to the attractions, this is a good choice.
Facilities: As an older hotel, some of the facilities are a bit dated. We upgraded our room, and for the price, it was quite good value for money.
Service: We received a complimentary fruit welcome gift in our room. There's also a laundry room and a Chinese restaurant.

Guest UserWe were already very satisfied with our online booking for a triple family city-view room, which included both breakfast and supper. What made us even happier was that upon check-in, the hotel informed us that for a small extra charge, we could upgrade to a family sea-view room, which was larger than our original booking. The view from the sea-view room was a special surprise that truly excited the children. It's hard to describe or capture in photos, so I highly recommend experiencing it yourself – it's definitely worth it.
The hotel's location is excellent. There's a bus stop and a subway station right outside, and getting a taxi is also very convenient. It's close to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, which is lively and just a short walk away. The service at the hotel was very attentive; they even provided a clothes drying rack. The breakfast and supper were part of the package and complimentary, featuring local specialty snacks, making them very rich and thoughtful. We were very pleased with our stay this time. Finally, I took a picture of the lobby and the night view from our room window. Thumbs up!
One choice of either a triple self-service afternoon tea or a self-service supper: superb and very thoughtful.

I took a last-minute trip to Xiamen during the May 1st holiday, and hotel prices everywhere had skyrocketed. This place, however, remained unchanged. I initially thought it might be an older hotel, but the reviews were all positive, so I booked two nights. The location is truly excellent – right next to a subway station and across from a mall, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the room. While not brand new, it was well-maintained. Being a hotel apartment, it came with a large refrigerator and a combo washer-dryer, which is perfect for trips lasting anywhere from 3 days to a week. The machine wasn't noisy either. The subway downstairs made getting anywhere very easy. The room came with two bottles of water daily, which wasn't quite enough, but when I mentioned it to the front desk, they immediately gave me six more. Overall, my stay was very comfortable. The only minor thing I found a bit unusual was the breakfast – it was very vegetarian-focused, with no meat. It wasn't bad, just a bit different from what I'm used to.

Anonymous UserWe received a warm welcome from the staff. Check in was straightforward and prompt. The lobby area was spacious and pleasantly furnished. The staff gave us a room upgrade and we had a spacious and well appointed room that made us feel very at home. When we arrived, it was close to lunch time and the staff checked in on us on meal requests, we took the lunch and it was a good spread of local specialties. Breakfast was freshly made and gave us a good impression of how a well prepared local breakfast would be like, also the meal was well balanced with dairy, vegetables etc. The room package also included a afternoon tea in the garden with a water feature, a tea bath and a evening Chinese tea appreciation session where we chatted with the staff. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Guest UserArrived in Xiamen! I booked a 4-day, 3-night package on Ctrip quite a while ago. My sea-view room overlooks Wuyuan Bay Bridge, and right across is the sailing club. Customer service communication was smooth, and upon check-in, I was upgraded to an executive room, which gave me an even better view of the sea (o^^o). Opening the curtains, all I saw was stunning scenery.
I have to praise the service; the front desk and concierge staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. Myla and Nancy at the executive lounge were also perfectly attentive. A major factor in choosing this hotel was its proximity to the airport – just a 10-minute drive – making travel very convenient. Getting to various attractions in the city and Jimei School Village by taxi was also easy. If I have the chance to visit Xiamen again, I would definitely consider booking this hotel.
