This B&B is located right inside the Shangxiahang scenic area, and the location is absolutely fantastic. You step right out and you're by the inner city river. **Facilities:** Retro and tasteful. The owner is a collector, which really shows. **Hygiene:** Clean. **Environment:** The B&B's interior is elegant, and the night view right outside is stunning. **Service:** Very warm and welcoming. They even prepared a little gift for the kids! The only downside is that the soundproofing in our room wasn't great. It seemed like it was just the two rooms on our floor that had this issue, but otherwise, everything else was fine. I can also understand that finding a B&B like this within a scenic area is already quite good.

The front desk service was great; check-in was fast, and they even upgraded me to a river view room, which was a nice bonus. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with plenty of local specialties like taro paste, fish balls, seafood hotpot, peanut soup, vermicelli paste, and oyster cakes, all of which tasted delicious. It gets quite busy during breakfast, so if you go too late, you'll likely have to wait in line. The only minor inconvenience was that food deliveries can only be left at the hotel lobby on the first floor, while the front desk is on the 40th floor. Overall, it was a very good stay, and I would choose this hotel again if I'm back in the area.

Every year when I come to Xiamen, I stay at the Swiss Grand for a few days, and this is my fourth time. What attracts me most to the Swiss Grand is its excellent location and rooms directly facing Gulangyu Island. I have to say, the Swiss Grand meets all my needs for a trip to Xiamen. First, let's talk about the location. It's situated in the heart of Siming District, right next to Zhongshan Road. You can walk to Bashi Market, the Botanical Garden, and Xiamen Ferry Terminal. Taking a taxi to Nanputuo Temple, Shapowei, the Twin Towers, and Xiamen University is always just the starting fare. The Exit to the hotel is also the starting station of Metro Line 1, which goes directly to Gaoqi Airport. Then there's the room facing Gulangyu Island – it's absolutely unbeatable! It completely matches my aesthetic. Whenever I sit by the floor-to-ceiling window in my room, enjoying the beautiful Gulangyu Island opposite, with a cup of black tea, I feel utterly content. What's even more impressive is that the room is very spacious, well-equipped, and the quality is consistently high. It offers excellent value for money! The breakfast is very rich, with a wide variety of Western and Chinese options, plus local specialties – you name it, they have it, and it all tastes great. The service is excellent; the greeters at the entrance are very attentive. The front desk was a bit ordinary, but customer service responded promptly and was always helpful. The only slight drawback was the slow check-in process. This might be due to the hotel being fully booked during the Chinese New Year holiday, but it also reflects that the hotel doesn't have good solutions for handling such surges in guests. We waited over an hour to check in, and at that time, one guest had waited three hours and still hadn't gotten into their room, and ended up arguing with the front desk... This had a very negative impact on the hotel's image. I hope they can further improve their management during holidays!

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the old town. It's a short walk to the subway station and Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, and getting a taxi is incredibly convenient. The room was spacious and bright, and I absolutely loved the Wabi-sabi design. The cleanliness was exceptional, especially the soaking tub – it was spotless and had a constant temperature with clean water. I was really happy they provided disposable tub liners. The service was superb; the front desk ladies were all so enthusiastic and full of energy! Both the afternoon tea and breakfast were excellent. I'll definitely be back!

Choosing the ME Hotel Fuzhou for my trip was a brilliant decision! Its location is superb, right in the heart of Fuzhou, close to Sanfang Qixiang and Wuyi Square, and Upper-Lower Hajj and Yantai City are also easily accessible. What's even better is that the Shuibu D exit of the subway is right inside the hotel, and during the recent Spring Festival, rides were even free. I encountered a few issues when checking in, but 'Xiao Mi' (a staff member) was incredibly responsive and resolved them immediately, ensuring a perfect stay afterward. Xiao Mi also continued to check in on our experience thoughtfully. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of choices, and the tiger-skin chicken feet, peanut soup, and 'lao hua' (a local dish) were excellent and suited both children and older guests. This stay at ME was truly wonderful!

The environment is quite enchanting. Our room was on the outer perimeter, but unfortunately, there's a villa being built next door. It didn't affect us since we were out most of the day, but if you plan on relaxing in the room, it can get a bit noisy (though earplugs are provided in the room). This hotel is great for those who enjoy morning runs or walks. You can use your room key to access the Chongyang Stream scenic trail by the river, offering beautiful mountain views. The hotel's breakfast buffet is really good, with a decent variety. You absolutely *must* try the lard noodles and Zixi noodles, loaded with toppings – they're super delicious! In the room, having two sinks is very convenient for two people, but a small detail to note: the inner rim of the washbasin area should be cleaned regularly to prevent mold. There's also a good selection of pillows to choose from, so you can find one that suits you. The hotel also offers some nice free experiences, like various handicraft workshops. We didn't try the travel photography though.

Overall a really good stay in an old historical building, a great experience you won't get anywhere else! A butler service is included when you check in and out, where they help you pull your luggages to and fro your taxi location. The place itself is clean and cozy, and very close by to multiple food and souvenir shops! Secondly, the breakfast is beautiful and splendid! The service is really good as well, as we have to check out early on the last day, the staff also packed breakfast for us to eat on the way to the airport. And also always accomodating to our requests (like getting more bottled water, etc haha). The hotel package also includes free tea tasting and dressing up in traditional wear (which my family did not do but I wish we did!) Lastly, there is laundry service (wash and dry), but it does take a bit of time (eg: clothes are mostly done only after 8pm even if we place the clothes out around 8-9am). Maybe one thing is to let us know the estimated time it will be done ^^. But overall, I love the stay, breakfast, the kind staff, the beautiful accommodation and the hotel cat, xiaoxi!!

The weather on the day I arrived was absolutely gorgeous, putting me in a fantastic mood. The blue skies and ocean were just perfect! I really loved the gentle sea breeze and the sound of the waves. As I was traveling solo and wanted a peaceful New Year, this trip was incredibly satisfying (^^). The room itself was also very spacious, bright, and clean. I asked them to clean the room first thing in the morning when I headed out, and they were very prompt and thorough. It was a great experience. The breakfast 🍳 selection was also very diverse. Enjoying breakfast 🥞 while looking out at the pool was a lovely way to spend my New Year's trip! The ocean views from this location are truly therapeutic 🌊. They offer scheduled shuttle bus service for airport transfers and a tourist bus from the hotel to Dongdu Cruise Terminal. On the morning I left, I needed to go to Nanputuo Temple, and the bus was conveniently going in that direction, so they dropped me off near Yanwu Bridge. The manager at the hotel lobby even reminded me about it! Very thoughtful service!

The best decision for the 2026 Chinese New Year! Due to changes in our holiday schedule, we only had three days. I checked Ctrip, and Fuzhou's flight prices hadn't increased. We wanted somewhere with a beach and warm weather, and the Haiyingwan Hotel met all our needs. Perfect for a seaside stroll with the kids! The breakfast was absolutely amazing – they had Fuzhou fish balls and 'guo bian' (local rice-flour soup), plus a wide variety of Western and Chinese options. We stayed in Building 2, and the ocean was just a three-minute walk away. During low tide, the kids were so engrossed in collecting shells they didn't want to leave. The sand was fine and soft; it was incredibly relaxing, especially if you just want to entertain kids and seniors. Even my 73-year-old mother loved it. The hotel grounds are like a park. For kids who love planes, this is a treat! I heard it's the only seaside airport, so you can watch planes to your heart's content. It's not noisy at night either; with the windows closed, you can barely hear anything. **Amenities:** Very child-friendly, everything you need is there. **Hygiene:** Excellent. **Environment:** A coastal garden. **Service:** Excellent. **2-3 Person Family Package:** Truly too much food, I suggest they make it available for lunch as well in the future. **Fuzhou Airport Shuttle:** Departs every 30 minutes, always ready to go. **Seaside Mini Train:** Absolutely a favorite for little ones.
