I had a wonderful stay at The Louis Hotel Chengdu and would happily return. The room was spacious and beautifully designed, with a large bathtub positioned next to big windows offering a lovely view—such a highlight. Being able to watch a movie on the large TV screen while relaxing in the bath felt incredibly luxurious. The in-room streaming service was excellent and included all the popular English movies, which was a big plus.
The shower was large and modern, and the toilet was very fancy with a bidet system, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, making it easy to get a great night’s sleep after a long day.
The staff were wonderful—friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. The free laundry service was also incredibly convenient and much appreciated.
Overall, an extremely comfortable and enjoyable stay with thoughtful amenities and great service. Highly recommended.

Facilities: Fully equipped.
Hygiene: Excellent.
Environment: Beautiful and pleasant surroundings, with direct views of snow-capped mountains from the room.
Service: Comparable to a five-star hotel, even better than some.
For those hesitating, go ahead and book! The room isn't dry, and there's oxygen supply to prevent altitude sickness. You can wake up early and capture stunning photos of the 'Golden Mountain in Sunlight' right from your window, without even leaving the room.

We loved this hotel. The view over the city from our room was incredible, especially at night. The room was well equipped with everything we needed. The location is ideal, with many great local and international restaurants nearby. Most attractions, such as the panda research center, are within a 30-minute taxi ride. We highly recommend it.

The room is absolutely beautiful! We're on the fourth floor and it even has a small outdoor patio. The whole design of the room is stunning and it's really spacious. You can bring a small dog, but there's a cleaning fee. The hotel service is excellent; they provided great recommendations and directions for local restaurants.

Good overall experience, the rooms here have a very interesting design, but there were some problems that I encountered.
First of all, the room amenities included a city view, but actually there is just a small window placed very high, through which you cannot see anything else than a wall. In addition to that, the window does not even close, so I was constantly hearing noise from outside.
Second, the sink did not function too well, resulting in a slow decreasing level of water, almost like it was clogged.
Lastly, in the amenities included there was a minibar, snacks, soda drinks and instant food, all for free. The only things that were actually available were water, tea and some biscuits, which didn't quite fit what was written on Trip.

The hotel is good and affordable, with a very strategic location in the city center of Chengdu. It’s close to shopping areas and the station, which made getting around very convenient. The hotel staff are friendly, and the room was clean.
The only downside was the there is small space in shower room, so when we showered, water tended to spill out and made the floor wet. However, overall we really liked this hotel and enjoyed our stay🙂

We stayed in room 2510. Great stay in Chengdu, the hotel is located strategically in the city, just walking distance to Chunxi road shopping district.
Front office team are friendly & accommodate for my Taobao request. Housekeeping lady greet us every morning, start our day with warm smile.
Our booking comes with free laundry, hotel hi-tea & not mention also good breakfast choices everyday.
The only downside is, our room ac is not function. Staff explained due to col weather (we stay from 7-12 March), the ac still function at “heater mode”. Advise us to leave our window open, and provide solution by placing a fan in our room.

My overall experience staying at this hotel was great. The room offered a fantastic view of Taikoo Li at night, which was absolutely stunning. The in-room sound system and the floor-to-ceiling windows created a very comfortable ambiance. The room was well-equipped, and they even offer a private butler service. 'Bread' was my butler, and they were incredibly helpful, even retrieving a package for me so I didn't have to leave my room – very satisfied! I also forgot my phone, and 'Bread' responded instantly. Big thumbs up and kudos to the butler for their enthusiastic service!

We are from Singapore and had a wonderful stay at Mercure Chengdu Chunxi. The service from the team was truly heartwarming.
The front desk staff, Xiao Li (小李), was very friendly and helpful. She kindly helped us change our room, arranged a car to the train station when we were in a rush, and also gave us many useful recommendations during our stay.
The lobby staff, Uncle Zhang (张叔), was also very kind. He helped us carry our luggage and even served us warm tea when we came back in the cold weather, which made us feel very welcomed.
The hotel is also in a great location at Chunxi Road, right in the shopping area with many malls, restaurants, and things to see within walking distance. It made exploring the city very convenient for us.
The room and hotel facilities were also very clean and well maintained, which made our stay even more comfortable.
Initially, we only planned to stay at this hotel for one night before heading to Mount Siguniang and later to Jiuzhaigou Valley, returning to Chengdu again afterwards. However, because the team was so kind and attentive, we decided to change our plans and moved the rest of our Chengdu stay (another four days) to Mercure.
The hotel also provides 24-hour laundry service, which was very helpful for us as we are travelling with our 5-year-old child and have many clothes to wash. It really helped lighten our luggage during the trip.
Another great feature is that the hotel has an indoor playground, which kept our 5-year-old child happily entertained. This was a big plus for us as we were travelling as a family.
Thanks to the Mercure team for their warm service and welcoming hospitality. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chengdu.

It's necessary to leave a nuanced review.
On the positive side, beautiful rooms, great location, and very kind and friendly staff. We loved our stay. And would love to stay again.
Notes for improvement (listed for the hotel's benefit): we had initially booked a more expensive room, but were offered a room layout not matching the beautiful photos seen on Trip.com. (The alternative was to downgrade to a smaller room.) I've attached photos of what we found on arrival. Needless to say, it fell far short of expectations.
We had been given the choice, but the photos provided to help guide that choice were far from the reality. The hotel should never have encouraged or even presented this room as an option, just to keep us in the more expensive room category. After the first night, we rebooked the cheaper, better room.
Second complaint was that at least three of the hotel's web routers were infected with viruses during our stay, and were redirecting our web traffic to pornographic websites. It routinely happens, I'm sure. And the staff were quick to find us a solution. I hope the hotel will fix the issue though. Affected rooms were: 2108, 2109, 2110.
I would still recommend staying. Just communicate with the staff to ensure you are getting what you expect and have paid for.

GGuest UserThis stay was absolutely perfect! The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, just a few minutes' walk to the commercial area and subway station, making getting around a breeze. The room was spotless and meticulously clean, with soft, skin-friendly bedding and blackout curtains that ensured a fantastic night's sleep. Zoe Rora at the front desk was super enthusiastic and professional, making check-in a very quick process. The breakfast spread was excellent, offering a wide variety of both Western and Chinese options, all fresh and delicious. The value for money is outstanding; I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

NNM.KALocated about a 10 mins walk from the Changpinggou entrance. If your bus drops you off in front of the entrance, do not take the hills on the left. Just go straight for about 500 meters, and you will arrive.
As a Muslim traveller, the nearest halal restaurant is a bit far, about a 30 mins walk. However, the hotel serves breakfast starting from ¥20 and you can request to suit your dietary needs.
To reach Shuangqiaogou, you will need to take a yellow minibus, which costs ¥15 one way. Make sure to carry some extra cash in case the driver’s WeChat Pay does not accept foreign card transactions, just like mine did.
The room was the best I’ve ever had during my stay in Sichuan, very comfortable with heated floors. The atmosphere and surroundings were breezy and peaceful. I honestly have no complaints at all! I totally loved this hotel!
The owner went the extra mile by picking me up from the Changpinggou entrance when I lost my way. Hats off! Also, special thanks to the two girls who helped me catch my bus back to Chengdu on my last day. All the staff were super friendly and I felt very welcomed and at home.
It truly feels like home here. Highly recommended for all solo female travellers. If I ever return to this area, I would definitely choose this hotel again.

HHaoyunlaivvEvery time I visit Chengdu, I stay here. It used to be called Wudang Washe. There are so many great restaurants nearby, and the small alleyways are full of local life, giving you that authentic Old Chengdu vibe. The location is excellent too; it's a 5-minute walk to the subway station, and just one stop gets you to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li. The interior design and facilities are decent but very stylish, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The staff are also very friendly and attentive. While the breakfast selection isn't huge, it's prepared with great care.
MM253152****The hygiene was good! The bedding was comfortable, and the pillows weren't too high, very soft! The service attitude was also good. The breakfast was quite simple, with buns, eggs, soy milk, and coffee. For this price, the surrounding area is quite noisy, and the sound insulation isn't great. The only downside is that there were so many mosquitoes... I got bitten by mosquitoes in the middle of the night, and it happened in both rooms, even my child was bitten. There was nothing we could do. We had planned to stay a few more days. I hope the owner will provide mosquito repellents in every room and do a better job with pest control in the future.

GGuest UserPros: The hotel boasts an excellent location, directly facing Mount Emei, and in the evening, we could seemingly hear the temple bells from Baoguo Temple. We chose to stay at Le Méridien after our hike, looking forward to some relaxation. The hotel is indeed quite large with beautiful surroundings. The breakfast was plentiful, featuring freshly prepared dishes, a welcome change from pre-made options. We stayed in a deluxe lake view room, offering both mountain and lake views, which was truly lovely. The soundproofing in the room was decent, and the bedding was comfortable.
Cons: 1. Initially, our two booked rooms were not in the same building. After inquiring at the front desk, they found a twin room in Building 2, allowing us to be in the same building. It makes you wonder why they were assigned that way in the first place. 2. The room's central air conditioning only provided heating. When we checked in, the room was exceptionally hot; even with the AC off, the temperature was around 27 degrees Celsius (likely due to the room facing west and getting direct sun). However, the housekeeping service was excellent – they promptly brought a portable air cooler, and their service was always timely, thorough, and enthusiastic. This was a stark contrast to the less attentive bellhop service in the lobby. 3. For such a large hotel, having only two elevators per building (Building 1 and 2) seems inadequate for a Le Méridien property. It also raises safety concerns, as there are no staff members at the elevator entrance. If you need to access rooms on other floors, you have to take the stairs (I used the emergency stairwell twice to retrieve something from a room on the 6th floor, a tip given to me by a housekeeper). 4. The large bathtub in the bathroom is genuinely enormous. I suspect anyone under 175cm might need to be careful not to drown! 5. The exterior windows of the scenic room looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I'll stop here for now. I'm writing so much because I actually quite like Le Méridien, and I hope to see improvements next time I visit.

MM2httwq6h****I found the service to be excellent. My package went missing, and the front desk staff were very proactive in helping me look for it and even contacting the delivery driver to resolve the issue. It really put me at ease. The cleanliness and overall environment were also very good.
GGuest UserThe service was great, but the towels in the bathroom had black spots. Also, for some reason, there was a lot of noise outside around 1 AM, and again around 7 AM, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. However, the location is good, right outside Chengdu East Railway Station, to the left, and easy to find.

BBeauboI had a wonderful stay here. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty with good variety, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location is excellent—just a 5‑10 minute walk to the Jiuzhaigou entrance, which made exploring the park very convenient. It’s also close to the meeting point for the bus back to Huanglong Jiuzhai Station, only about a 400‑meter walk. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, so everything you need is within easy reach. Overall, it’s a great place to stay for anyone visiting Jiuzhaigou.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation and a wide array of dining and business facilities nearby, making it an ideal choice for business trips. Overall, I had a very satisfying experience. The hotel offers fantastic value for money; it's definitely worth every penny. I highly recommend it to everyone.
JjchaoyThe hotel is at the entrance of the old street in the ancient town, 50m from the parking lot, parking is convenient, this stay has two standard rooms with terraces, you can put projection, suitable for family and children to relax. Equipped with disposable face towels, bath towels, toilet cover, good health, breakfast, the only fly in the ointment is that the sound insulation of the door is not very good, the night is very quiet, but in the morning, if someone speaks in the aisle, people who don't sleep well are easily awakened.
