Romantic Hotels in Kedah, Malaysia

The hotel itself is well located and has a certain charm. The furniture is quite old, but in a way it adds character to the place. The staff we interacted with were generally kind and polite. However, we had a very upsetting experience with the Ramadan buffet restaurant. We arrived at the hotel around 6:00 PM after a long day of travel with two flights (Phuket to Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi). My mother had been fasting all day for Ramadan and had not eaten or drunk anything. When we saw that the restaurant was preparing the Ramadan buffet, my mother sat down hoping to break her fast there. Unfortunately we were refused and told that reservations had to be made one day in advance. This was very surprising for us, as we had just arrived in the country and could not possibly have reserved the day before. We were directed to another nearby restaurant, but after waiting more than one hour we still had not received any food. During that time my mother — who had been fasting all day — still had nothing to eat, and my two-year-old child was crying because he was hungry. In the end, my mother was only able to eat about two hours after the time of breaking the fast. Aside from this very difficult experience, the hotel itself is pleasant and the staff are friendly. However, I hope the management will consider being more flexible and understanding in situations like this, especially for guests observing Ramadan and families traveling with young children.

Nice hotel with real potential, but it feels neglected and needs maintenance. The rooftop pool is pleasant with great views, though the big umbrella is very rusted and it closes at 7 pm, a bit too early. The room was excellent: large, spacious and really beautiful. Breakfast is a highlight, very good selection and the pancakes were outstanding. Staff is hit or miss: some are friendly and helpful, others seem bored and uninterested. The rooftop restaurant idea is nice, but service was poor. We waited a full hour for dinner while later arrivals got served first, very frustrating. Overall: good bones, great room and breakfast, but inconsistent service and visible wear and tear hold it back. Could be excellent with some care.

Second visit to this resort within 3 months times, love the hotel and environment, because away from city, nature air, located on the hill side. Sometimes you may find monkey around. Simple authentic Malaysian breakfast. Love to be soak into swimming pool. There is partial have sun, if you ant to stay away from sun there is shade. You can simply order beverage or sandwich by the pool. This time our room is twin room, my friend said the bed to TOO soft for her. Isn't that great.  Probably will come back in the future. Lets see .

We booked an oceanfront room, and it turned out to be absolutely the best choice. The views were stunning and truly elevated our stay. The weather in Langkawi is currently very hot, and it was a bit disappointing to see the grass turning yellow. This was my third visit to Langkawi, and I always choose to stay at this resort—it has consistently been my top choice. I noticed that the resort has upgraded its room amenities as well as the pools, which is a nice improvement. That said, I personally preferred the older pool design. It blended beautifully with the traditional Malay aesthetic of the property, whereas the new pool feels more sleek and modern, which doesn’t quite match the overall character of the resort.

The hotel allowed us to check in early and even gave us drink vouchers. The pool was beautiful, and the room was comfortable. The service was excellent, and the breakfast spread was fantastic. Definitely don't miss the Langkawi sunset cruise and the mangrove tour!

Hotel is 15 floors. Check in to room with sea view on 11th floor - big, clean carpeted, separate shower and tub. Lobby pretty big with restaurant, meeting room, tour guide and a bistro. Welcome drink is a choice of fruit juice or beer at bistro. Also included is a high tea voucher for following day. Took a short walk and found a variety of different food places around - malay, Indian, Korean, Japanese and a tze char joint as well. A lot of different varieties of shops and duty free shops as Langkawi is a duty-free island where alcohol is cheaper than soft drinks. Many seafood joints around within 0.6 to 14 km radius.

This resort-style hotel truly embodies a Southeast Asian vibe, boasting beautiful pools and a garden with stunning scenery, where squirrels 🐿️ and birds leisurely forage on the lawn. Although the room facilities are a bit dated, they are still clean and tidy. On our first day, we noticed the bathroom sink wasn't draining properly, and after reporting it to the front desk, someone was sent to fix it immediately. Watching the sunset from a lounge chair on the hotel's beach in the evening was the most enjoyable part of the day. There are quite a few restaurants around the hotel, and while it's not as bustling as Cenang Beach, it's perfect for travelers seeking peace and quiet. (Even if you want to go to Cenang Beach, it's very close – about a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute taxi ride). Highly, highly recommended for those on a budget who want to experience authentic Southeast Asian charm! 👍🏖️🌴🌴

Overall, great experience! Booked for 2 nights with them and was satisfied with the overall experience. Great service and was provided with many amentities including free snacks and drinks. Love how big the room is and how it is connected to the swimming pool! Swimming pool feels very clean too! The only downside i would say is that at night, there might be lots of lizzards but they are all outside, thankfully. Just need to remember to close the door and it's all good! Location wise, it is only about a 5 min drive to Pantai Cenang so i would say pretty convenient as well! If ever had a chance I return to Langkawi, this is definitely a place I would consider staying agn! However, I do wish that, since I stayed here for my birthday, it would have been nice if their service can one up a bit by perhaps writing a birthday card or giving a small cake or sth but overall, service provided was still great!

I wrote another review previously, but would like to add the name & WhatsApp number for a fabulous guide that we met at Tanjung Rhu. His name is Fendi (+60124885710) and we met him while he was doing a nature tour for the hotel. We asked him if he would take us on a private mangrove tour the next day. It was 350 Ringgit for the boat ride & driver & for the tour we gave Fendi 100 Ringgitt tip for doing such a great job of explaining the history and culture. He is a very spiritual person and helped a tourist whose bag was being grabbed by an aggressive monkey and wouldn't let go. He was a big part of the reason our trip was so memorable. He was also quite the Renaissance man, as his other interests were handgliding, fixing sandals, polishing car. high beams, mountain climbing, knowing natural herbs and their medicinal uses etc...

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room offered a great view, and the bathroom was notably spacious. The staff were consistently friendly and made the experience smooth. The food was a great—I was impressed with both the breakfast and the meals at the pool bar. While the hotel isn't directly on the beach, it's a manageable walk, and the free buggy service from the lobby is a very convenient touch. It's also in a good location for exploring, with several restaurants and massage shops just a short walk away. I would stay here again without a doubt.
