Guest UserTo be honest, the room facilities are quite outdated. What's more, the setup is impractical: the hairdryer is placed too high, making it difficult to reach; there's no basket in the bathroom for dirty towels; and the fridge is completely empty. The worst part is the Wi-Fi – it's incredibly slow and constantly lags, making it impossible to even stream a show on my phone. This hotel needs to seriously improve to live up to its five-star rating. A major tourist city shouldn't have five-star hotels like this! Hope they improve!

ROSEOur first stop in Xiamen! We booked a Conrad sea-view room voucher that included executive lounge access. Upon check-in, the front desk attendant recommended a larger 'Half Mountain, Half Sea' family room, so we paid extra to upgrade. This included breakfast for two adults and one child, executive privileges, two complimentary teddy bears, a welcome fruit platter, turn-down sweets, and an extra bed. We're very grateful! Although the weather wasn't ideal, the view was still fantastic. It would have been perfect on a sunny day. The service was also good, but I'd suggest improving the food offerings in the executive lounge, haha. The location is super convenient; it's a 7-minute walk to Xiamen University Visitor Center if you turn right downstairs, and a 7-minute walk to the popular Shapowei Instagram wall if you turn left.

Guest UserGreat location, making it easy to get around. It's a 3-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, the Eighth Market, the ferry terminal, and Heping Wharf. Xiamen University's Baicheng Beach is just two bus stops away. The surrounding area is full of snack streets. The room was clean and tidy, with smart voice control (Xiao Du system), and free access to a washing machine and gym.

ZiyuanThey proactively upgraded my room to a higher floor, and the sea-view room directly overlooked Gulangyu Island – the daytime and nighttime views were absolutely stunning. The hotel was clean and beautiful, with the deep-rooted charm of an old five-star establishment. What particularly touched me was when a greeter at the entrance saw me sitting there with my heel chafed, and thoughtfully brought over two band-aids. My heart truly warmed at that moment! I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit. [Attached are a few photos of the view from the hotel room.]

Caicai[huaixiao]The front desk lady provided excellent service; it was the most gentle, patient, meticulous, and best service I've ever experienced in any hotel!!!
As soon as we walked in, before even checking in, we were offered several glasses of water. After checking in, she immediately told us about breakfast for the next day with the kids. Our room originally only included breakfast for two, but seeing that we had two children, she immediately extended it to four people. Then, she gave us a Gulangyu map and meticulously explained: where to have fun, where to eat, where to shop, and which beaches were good!! It was incredible!!
She also mentioned free laundry and free drying services!!
My two children were playing with the various small items displayed at the front desk, and she actively engaged with them, introducing the items and even letting them take them back to the room to play with.
The hotel was also very clean. When we asked for two extra sets of toiletries, they were delivered very quickly.
It was just perfect, but I was so busy that I forgot to take photos.

AnguanI was very satisfied with my stay at the InterContinental Xiamen Seaview. As soon as I entered the room, I could see the ocean, which was incredibly comfortable. The wooden room key was a very nice touch. The hotel's facilities and environment were excellent, but what impressed me most was the service. Our butler, Ally, provided attentive assistance throughout our stay, responding promptly to our requests and working efficiently. Her thoughtful attention to detail made us feel relaxed and at ease. It was a very pleasant stay.

Guest UserThe Xiamen Pullman Shimao Hotel is quite good. The entire hotel is massive, and upon arrival, it feels like stepping into a French chateau. The hotel is divided into three areas: Xihai, Ruihai, and Yihai Town. This time, I stayed in Xihai. The hotel lobby is grand and impressive, with a magnificent dome. The staff were also good; they helped carry my luggage to the lobby as soon as I got out of the car. The front desk staff were efficient, and check-in was quick. In particular, a lady with glasses in the lobby provided excellent service; she was very helpful and explained everything in detail. She was probably a supervisor, though I didn't catch her name. The hotel room was spacious; as soon as I opened the door, the curtains automatically drew back, revealing a view of the ocean. The room was roomy, comfortable, clean, and tidy. The bathroom was also large, with a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub. The two sinks were particularly convenient. The bedding was soft and comfortable. The hotel is close to the sea, just a few minutes' walk to Rainbow Beach. The hotel offers both an indoor heated pool and an outdoor infinity pool to choose from. You can enjoy the beach or swim in the hotel's pools. There are also several children's play areas. Every corner of the hotel feels incredibly picturesque, especially Yihai Town, where every short walk reveals a new theme. It's fantastic for families with children and for ladies who love taking photos. The entire hotel is genuinely huge; I feel like I haven't even explored it all. I'll definitely come back to stay again, and next time I'll try Ruihai for a different experience. There was one minor issue: the hairdryer plug in the bathroom kept falling out and didn't stay securely. That needs to be addressed. Overall, the hotel is still very good. The Pullman is a hotel I would happily return to.

LvjieThe hotel boasts an excellent location with expansive sea views, and the floor-to-ceiling windows in the sea-view rooms offer breathtaking scenery. The rooms are clean and tidy, with comfortable bedding and complete bathroom facilities. The service is warm and attentive, with prompt front desk responses. Breakfast is rich and features local Fujian (Min-nan) specialties. The accompanying pool and gym facilities are comprehensive, offering great value for money. The surrounding area is quiet, and transportation is convenient, making it suitable for both leisure and business stays. Overall, the experience was satisfying and highly recommended.

囧木This was my first stay at Huayi, and it was a pretty good experience. It's a large standalone building. While not directly on the island, the location isn't remote, which is acceptable if you're driving.
The room was quite luxurious with a great view and a bathtub. The breakfast was also delicious, and the swimming pool was large, though I didn't go in because there were a lot of people.
The underground parking garage is huge, but you have to go up a few steps to get to the hotel. There's also a small section near the hotel without an accessible ramp, so strollers or wheelchairs would need to be lifted slightly.
Finally, there are only four guest elevators, so you might have to wait a while during busy lunchtime hours.

I stayed in Xiamen for 4 days, and at the Wyndham for 2 of them. I'm glad I didn't extend my stay for the last two nights as I had originally planned. First of all, the room decor was acceptable, but I couldn't tolerate that it's marketed as a family-friendly hotel 🏨 yet doesn't provide bed rails. The kids' club facilities were also quite old, and they didn't even have the air conditioning on. Most importantly, the bedsheets and duvet covers had an odor. Even the new set they brought had an odor. For a hotel of this price, this is unacceptable. Other services were okay. The breakfast selection was also just average.
