Sea View Hotels in Fujian, China

The room had a large bed and a small bed, which was enough for our family of five (2 adults and 3 children). The environment was elegant and the soundproofing was good. There was also a mini-fridge in the room, perfect for storing fruits and drinks. The kids loved the pool downstairs. The only downside was the TV; it wasn't connected to the internet, so we couldn't choose what we wanted to watch. The hotel's location is excellent, with many attractions nearby, making it convenient for shopping and dining!

Extremely satisfied! 1. I originally planned to check in and drop off our luggage before taking my child out, but my child fell asleep on the way 😂. A big thanks to Gemma for contacting housekeeping. Even though our reserved room wasn't ready at around 12 PM, she found another room for my child to rest in. I'm very grateful! We were also allowed a late check-out until 1:30 PM today. They truly tried their best to meet our needs when it was possible. 2. The front desk staff didn't constantly push for room upgrades, unlike what some other reviews mentioned. They didn't even bring it up once. 3. The room was very spacious, the bedding was comfortable, and the large bathtub was, as always, my child's favorite. Photo 1 is the city view room used for resting, and the back is the sea view room.

This hotel's location is absolutely perfect for lazy travelers like me! Turn right out the door and you're at Bashi Seafood Market, turn left and you're on Zhongshan Road. Craving late-night snacks? Just head downstairs for street food stalls. Want to go shopping? No need for a taxi. I barely took any cabs this trip, just walked everywhere, which saved me even more money on tour guides. The room was clean and comfortable, and the front desk staff even gave me great recommendations for local eateries that weren't tourist traps. Next time I'm in this city, I'm definitely staying here again – because this lazy person doesn't want to think about choosing another hotel!

First, four points that deserve high praise: 1. **Excellent Service:** Staff were always on hand at the hotel lobby entrance to help with car doors and luggage when getting in or out. 2. **Spacious Design:** The hotel lobby has a grand, high-ceiling design, and the rooms are sufficiently spacious. 3. **Well-Equipped Gym:** The gym is large and has a wide variety of equipment. 4. **Varied Breakfast:** The breakfast selection is extensive. And three points that need improvement: 1. **Unpleasant Odor:** The hallway on the 16th floor, as well as my room, had a strange smell like a laundry room and drainage pipes. The indoor ventilation was poor. 2. **Insufficient Delivery Robots:** There weren't enough delivery robots, so most food deliveries had to be left in a locker in the hotel parking lot, requiring guests to go down and pick them up themselves. 3. **Limited Power Outlets:** The double room only had one power outlet by the bed, which isn't very convenient for guests staying in this room type.

This hotel is closest to Piano Wharf and not far from Sanqiutian Wharf. It's very close to the shore, yet tucked away in a quiet spot. On the way, you'll pass the Gulangyu Museum. My room was on the first floor and was well-decorated and very clean. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

The hotel's facilities are undoubtedly top-notch, with both the interior and exterior environments being first-class. It's close to the beach, and the low-crowd experience is great. The cleaning staff provided excellent service, and the phone was answered quickly. The outdoor pool was beautiful and clean. Now for the downsides. Upon arrival at 1 PM, I was met by a rather young female receptionist to check in. I had booked a family room through Trip.com, including breakfast for two adults and two children. As a mother, I was traveling with an 11-year-old and a 14-year-old. I requested if the breakfast for two children could be substituted with breakfast for the 11-year-old, as I was treating the 14-year-old as an adult. She curtly refused, stating that the finance department was very strict about breakfast charges, which I found amusing. After some negotiation, she said she would 'apply'. At this point, I told her that if it couldn't be done, I would simply go elsewhere. A few seconds later, she said it was possible. If it was possible, wouldn't it have been better and more humane to agree from the start or proactively offer the breakfast? For a five-star hotel with a thousand-yuan room rate, providing a child's breakfast shouldn't be a big issue, especially since it's a family room – isn't it appropriate for children's breakfast to be included? The Hyatt, where I stayed later, proactively offered children's breakfast. I hope this hotel can take note and improve the front desk staff's service awareness. Then there was the room issue. The young female receptionist kept saying there were no rooms available and just made me wait indefinitely. After 2 PM, I inquired multiple times, but still no room. Feeling something was off, I spoke to a male staff member, who I believe was the lobby manager. His approach and attitude were much better. Unfortunately, I didn't get his name. Sure enough, the male manager informed me that low-floor rooms were available, but high-floor rooms would require waiting. He initially gave me a low-floor room key, which I wasn't too happy with after seeing it. I decided to wait for a high-floor room. After having dinner, a high-floor room became available. I'm very grateful to this male manager; he even lent me two umbrellas without a deposit when I went out for dinner. Honestly, the 4-star service rating is largely thanks to him. Regarding the room itself, some details of the cleanliness were not up to par. The cabinet where the refrigerator was placed was too old and worn; you wouldn't even find such a cabinet in a budget hotel, let alone an InterContinental. There was no capsule coffee machine, and the water provided was just JingTian brand, feeling a bit makeshift. The plaster molding on the bathroom ceiling was rough, and unrepaired water stains were visible. I recall the trash can not being particularly clean either. The hairdryer deserves special mention – it was so old and had almost no power. I'm not asking for a Dyson, but a Laifen would have been nice. Breakfast was also quite average, but as tastes vary, I won't comment too much. On the first night of my stay, I had the double set meal at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, which was a hidden gem. It was excellent value for money and the portions were generous – highly recommended. However, the female receptionist at the restaurant had poor service. When we arrived, she kept saying there were no tables, that everything was reserved, etc., and her tone was impolite. I insisted on looking inside, and there were clearly many empty tables. Later, while we were dining, she continued to tell other guests that there were no tables and everything was reserved, but the 'reserved' tables remained empty. I don't understand why she didn't want guests to dine. Does she think she'll lose her power if she doesn't use it? After check-out, I received a call inquiring about my stay. I apologize, but I cannot give a full five-star rating; 4 stars is already the limit. What I want to say is that while hardware is one aspect, service and attention to detail are equally important.

The Xiamen Pullman Shimao Hotel is quite good. The entire hotel is massive, and upon arrival, it feels like stepping into a French chateau. The hotel is divided into three areas: Xihai, Ruihai, and Yihai Town. This time, I stayed in Xihai. The hotel lobby is grand and impressive, with a magnificent dome. The staff were also good; they helped carry my luggage to the lobby as soon as I got out of the car. The front desk staff were efficient, and check-in was quick. In particular, a lady with glasses in the lobby provided excellent service; she was very helpful and explained everything in detail. She was probably a supervisor, though I didn't catch her name. The hotel room was spacious; as soon as I opened the door, the curtains automatically drew back, revealing a view of the ocean. The room was roomy, comfortable, clean, and tidy. The bathroom was also large, with a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub. The two sinks were particularly convenient. The bedding was soft and comfortable. The hotel is close to the sea, just a few minutes' walk to Rainbow Beach. The hotel offers both an indoor heated pool and an outdoor infinity pool to choose from. You can enjoy the beach or swim in the hotel's pools. There are also several children's play areas. Every corner of the hotel feels incredibly picturesque, especially Yihai Town, where every short walk reveals a new theme. It's fantastic for families with children and for ladies who love taking photos. The entire hotel is genuinely huge; I feel like I haven't even explored it all. I'll definitely come back to stay again, and next time I'll try Ruihai for a different experience. There was one minor issue: the hairdryer plug in the bathroom kept falling out and didn't stay securely. That needs to be addressed. Overall, the hotel is still very good. The Pullman is a hotel I would happily return to.

It's the off-season in Xiamen, so hotel prices were relatively cheap, and they upgraded me to a sea-view room. Breakfast was at the Marriott and had a great variety. This is my third time staying at this hotel... However, today when I tried to extend my stay, the front desk deliberately made things difficult, which was a bit frustrating.

This stay was incredibly comfortable! Our butler, Sophia, was absolutely wonderful – she promptly took care of any request we had. She was so attentive and thoughtful, making sure we didn't have to worry about a thing throughout our stay. The hotel's sea view is absolutely breathtaking; the room offers a super open vista of the endless ocean, which is incredibly healing to look at. Overall, a perfect experience, highly recommended!

I stayed in Xiamen for 4 days, and at the Wyndham for 2 of them. I'm glad I didn't extend my stay for the last two nights as I had originally planned. First of all, the room decor was acceptable, but I couldn't tolerate that it's marketed as a family-friendly hotel 🏨 yet doesn't provide bed rails. The kids' club facilities were also quite old, and they didn't even have the air conditioning on. Most importantly, the bedsheets and duvet covers had an odor. Even the new set they brought had an odor. For a hotel of this price, this is unacceptable. Other services were okay. The breakfast selection was also just average.
