My stay at Pan Pacific Suzhou was absolutely fantastic! The hotel beautifully recreates the aesthetics of the ancient Wu Kingdom from the Spring and Autumn period, with its pavilions, terraces, and waterside promenades showcasing classic Suzhou elegance. Every step offers a picturesque view. As a project under Singapore’s GIC and Temasek, its unique foresight in choosing a prime location in the heart of the ancient city back in 1995 is remarkable. It also boasts a rich history, having hosted numerous dignitaries. Guests can enjoy free access to Panmen Gate by using their room key, and it's incredibly convenient to visit core attractions like Canglang Pavilion, Lingering Garden, Suzhou Museum, and Xiyuan Temple. Plus, the hotel's own restaurants, like Ruigarden Noodle House, are definitely worth trying – it truly enhances the overall experience!

Immersive, Zen-inspired experience:
“Hidden away in this bustling city is a tranquil sanctuary. The moment I slid open the wooden door, it felt as if I had been transported to an ancient machiya in Kyoto. The room was filled with a subtle scent of tatami, and the natural wood furniture with minimalist lines exuded a 'wabi-sabi' aesthetic throughout. My favorite time was in the evening, sitting at the low table by the window, brewing a pot of tea, and gazing at the karesansui garden outside. All the inner turmoil gradually faded away. There was no excessive disturbance here, just the perfect amount of space and serenity—a truly healing journey that allowed my mind and body to return to nature.”

This time, my family and I stayed at the Jinling Hotel, and it happened to be my birthday. I was truly touched by the thoughtful service of the fairy housekeeper – she deserves a massive shout-out! The housekeeper proactively reached out beforehand to confirm the delivery time for my birthday cake, arranging everything perfectly. The next day, we spontaneously decided to have the cake delivered earlier. After contacting her, she immediately helped coordinate the change without hesitation, responding super quickly! As a renowned five-star hotel, Jinling Hotel's service certainly lives up to its reputation. The housekeeper was enthusiastic, attentive, gentle, and patient throughout our stay. Every detail showed how much effort she put in. This stay wasn't just about accommodation; it was a birthday experience filled with surprises and warmth.

Traveling with my family, I chose this hotel near Sanyang Plaza. It's super convenient – just two subway stops on Line 1 from Wuxi Station. Following the signs, we arrived at Exit 20B, and the hotel parking lot was right there. The hotel has excellent facilities; there's a swimming pool and fitness center on the 10th floor, the lobby is on the 43rd floor, and the breakfast buffet is on the 64th floor. Eating breakfast while overlooking the Wuxi city skyline was a fantastic experience...

Crowne Plaza Suzhou is hands down my favorite hotel when it comes to attention to detail. They truly excel at it – the lobby scent is delightful, the elevator buttons are sanitized, the hallway carpets are so clean there are no footprints, bottled water in the room is replenished daily, bedside charging ports are conveniently placed, the blackout curtains make it feel like night, shower water temperature is perfectly consistent, and the breakfast noodles are freshly cooked. Plus, the staff's smiles feel genuinely warm. Individually, these details might seem minor, but together they create a truly comfortable experience.
Of course, the big things are impressive too – the prime Jinji Lake view, its direct position facing the Gate of the Orient, and the unique cruise ship-themed design are all solid selling points. The staff's professionalism and enthusiasm are also evident. This is a hotel that excels in grand aspects while paying meticulous attention to the small ones. Stay here, and you'll be impressed by its details. I sincerely recommend it to anyone who appreciates such fine points. Dolphin Xiaoyu

After checking online reviews before booking, I decided on this hotel. Upon checking in, it truly lived up to its reputation; the five-star ratings are absolutely spot on. From the welcoming staff to the lobby and even the cleaning crew, everyone was smiling and provided incredibly friendly service, making us feel right at home. We added our concierge, Xiao Z, on WeChat, and any requests we had were answered immediately, which made our trip much more convenient! The hotel's location is also excellent for getting around, with a bus stop just 100m from the entrance. It's super easy to get to Slender West Lake, Dongguan Street, the Grand Canal Museum, Vientiane City, and Impression City. This time, we opted not to have breakfast at the hotel, as there are so many fantastic local eateries nearby offering regional specialties. All in all, the top-notch service definitely deserves high praise. See you next time!

The room was clean and tidy with no strange odors, and the bedding was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The soundproofing was excellent. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making check-in and check-out efficient. The location is superb, making travel very convenient. It offers incredible value for money, and I will definitely prioritize staying here again on my next trip!
Booked Shangri-La again for my trip to Nanjing. The day before check-in, the guest relations department called to ask about any room preferences, and the room they assigned perfectly met my needs. The lake view was stunning and the vista was wide open. The mini-fridge had a slight issue, but they quickly sent someone to fix it, which was great. Although the room's decor is a bit dated, it doesn't feel old, and the cleanliness was good.
The Horizon Club on the 40th floor is very refined and spacious. Enjoying afternoon tea and happy hour here with a lake view is incredibly pleasant. The only drawback is that the afternoon tea desserts were a bit simplistic, but the breakfast pastries were quite good. Breakfast is semi-buffet style with a good variety, and all the hot dishes were delicious.

🚪Check-in Experience: Check-in was surprisingly fast! The staff were incredibly attentive and proactively upgraded our room!
✅The room's layout is unique; you take an elevator to the 45th floor, then switch to a private elevator to your room – it adds a real sense of occasion!

🔖Room amenities are top-notch: biodegradable Julius Meinl coffee capsules, a Bose sound system, a Dyson hairdryer – every detail is well thought out! The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the panoramic floor-toceiling windows offer an absolutely stunning view from the 67th floor. You get an unobstructed view of Xuanwu Lake and the city skyline, and you can watch Nanjing's sunrise and sunset right from your bed 🌇

🍴HORIZON CAFÉ All-Day Dining on the 45th Floor
The breakfast buffet is divine! There's such a wide variety it's hard to choose:
✅Chinese food lovers rejoice: freshly made Nanjing-style duck blood and vermicelli soup, various noodles, stir-fries, congee and soups, as well as fried dough sticks, steamed buns, and dim sum – it's like a taste of old Nanjing.
✅Western food fans will be satisfied: toast, desserts, salads, cold cuts, and freshly ground coffee.
✅There are also fried foods, miso soup, fried rice, and many other options – you could eat from morning until noon without having the same thing twice!
🌇Observation Deck on the 45th Floor
Head straight to the observation deck after breakfast! The expansive terrace offers panoramic views, allowing you to take in both the bustling prosperity of Nanjing city and the tranquil beauty of Xuanwu Lake. When the sun shines, it's perfect for photos, every shot looks like a masterpiece 📸
If you're visiting Nanjing during the Qingming holiday, choosing this hotel is definitely the right decision! The high-altitude views, attentive service, and amazing breakfast truly elevate the happiness of your Nanjing trip. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Nanjing!

GGuest UserWhen we arrived, the dam had been repaired, and we could see the beautiful view of Tianmu Lake from the hotel door. The hotel housekeeper contacted us in advance, and we stayed in the private soup room and gave us fish head vouchers. For other dishes, we ordered black rice and The small bamboo shoots are quite delicious when cooked, and the experience is still very good!
GGuest UserFood: Breakfast was varied, with western, asian and local. We had Dinner at the main buiding using ******* set menu and it was a good deal, as the 2 person deal is enough to feed 4 and tasted quite delicious.
Location: it is a resort so you are going to spend most of the time on the resort ground. We booked 3 day 2 night and the time was enough to explore everything. Nice scenery.
Amenities: only a few activities were covered in our package so it will depend on your package. The package was confusing and we didnt know exactly all the activities that were free or cost extra. The reception on check in should have explained all of this upon check in, but maybe they are not trained, or maybe because our accomadation at pinecone is considered 4 star so they used lower quality staff. All the free stuff are a bit lame and service was poor except for the craft lady who actually showed us a wechat app for the hotel where free activity voucher can be found. They outsourced the activity area so that is really poor decision as it hurts the brand image due to service levels. For hotel staff, thumbs up to the shuttle ladies, who you call to get from one place to another. They are prompt and speedy.
Service: check in staff was professional but not warm. As mentioned, the activity area is outsourced so most staff are cold and seemed rude, except for the craft lady who was actually decent. But considering this resort and the type of guest, i would consider this really bad.
Cleaniness: the room is very clean, a bit worn (see pics of wall), but it feels quite clean.

DdyhxThe hotel has its own onsen area that's open to non-hotel guests. So the entrance starts with the shoe cabinets before reaching the front desk that serves both onsen day-use guests and hotel guests.
The Japanese themed room was luxurious. Very clean and impeccably maintained, good sound proofing I could hear a pin drop in the room. Double basins, Dyson hair dryer, bidet toilet bowl, standing shower and a huge zen sofa couch area by the window, complete with tea and chess set. Pity there's not much of a view out there. There's also no phone here, just a speaker by the bedside table or one can use WeChat to communicate with the front desk and of course robot deliveries.
Bed and pillow was too soft for my liking. Service is excellent and they even provide turn down service. I left the room for onsen and came back to a room where the curtains are drawn, a plate of fruits on the table, floor towel laid out in the shower area with the bath towel, originally under the basin, now hung on the door of the shower.
The stay package came with an Afternoon Tea set of fruits, desserts and crackers. The cheesecakes were meh but the pineapple tart made up for it. Fruits were fresh and yums.
In-house guests were given unlimited access to the Onsen and I took my time to enjoy it fully. It's a full Jap style onsen, meaning going fully naked. A rather small onsen with just 3 pools but the outdoor one was the best, soaking in 43 degrees pool in the cold. There's a chill out area outside including a lounge, meditation room and a movie-cum-reading room (what an irony though). They also have private onsen rooms for rent at additional costs.
Leisurely breakfast the next morning at 930am. Yes, I had to choose a specific hour to be at breakfast as it's a Jap bento set with a partial buffet (of noodles and porridge). Not outstanding for me.
But otherwise, it was 5* experience and I recommend this to anyone planning to come to Taicang to experience the onsen.
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful Chinese New Year holiday at this hotel. The decorations were perfect for taking photos, and the service was thoughtful and warm. The security guard at the entrance even kindly told us about the shuttle bus to the ancient town and gave lollipops to the kids! The lantern show at Daguan Garden was absolutely stunning at night. Since there weren't many people, the kids had a blast running around the corridors. The complimentary travel photoshoot was great value for money, though posed shots aren't really suitable for young children, especially with two of them – props to the photographer for his patience! 😂 The Chinese New Year activities in the lobby were very entertaining. The indoor and outdoor kids' play areas, though not huge, kept the little ones occupied for a while. The heated pool's water was a bit cool, which could be improved. Overall, it's a great resort for families with both elderly parents and young children, and I noticed a surprisingly high number of seniors among the guests! 😝
GGuest UserThis is my dream hotel! I absolutely love the decor, which is a beautiful, traditional Jiangnan style with little bridges and flowing water. The room was spotless and tidy. Every staff member we encountered greeted us warmly, and the service was truly exceptional. When we arrived with two suitcases, a staff member immediately helped us to the hotel. They also gave us excellent, reliable recommendations for food and attractions.
Breakfast: The breakfast toppings and side dishes changed daily, which was great. At first, I worried that having noodles every day would get boring, but I ended up loving it!
The best part for families with young children is that strollers are available for free (with a refundable deposit). It's incredibly family-friendly. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Suzhou.
GGuest UserThis is my second time visiting Nanjing for a hot spring experience, and I'm very satisfied with Banyan Tree this time. I was a bit anxious before coming, but it exceeded my expectations. The hotel is located within the Garden Expo Park. The day before arrival, the hotel added me to a chat group. My friend arrived earlier and helped me check in. We were traveling with a child, and the room had kid-sized slippers, towels, bathrobes, and toiletries. The hotel breakfast was very rich and delicious. During the day, we took our child to explore That Natural, Pioneer Bookstore, and the Cliffside Cafe. In the evening, we went to the Vietnamese restaurant for pho. Since the park's shuttle bus had stopped running, the hotel specially arranged a car for us, which was excellent. My child forgot to print some homework and only remembered at night. I sent it to the butler in the chat group, and they helped print it and delivered it to us that night. The hotel's hot spring was also very quiet with few people, almost like having the place to ourselves. The hot spring in our room was also disinfected and filled with fresh water for each use, which was fantastic. I've already recommended it to my friends!
