Truly, we have so many sweet and unforgetable memories during our stay in Pan Pacific Hotel Suchou. We booked ”Family Two Bedrooms” for 4 of us & this room was the best family room we ever had. This room has 2 spacious bedrooms, 2 clean bathrooms and a mini kitchen with refridgerator, microwave and sink that made our in-room experience was very comfortable. The housekeeping was also very kind plus their excellent services to mention. We remember this Ms. Xia Ning, a room attendant, who left a beautiful postcard in our room with her heartful and warm greetings with her own handwritings to make sure we had comfortable stay and satisfied. We are surely touched by her beyond service. The hotel's breakfast was one of the best with so various dishes and all were delicious. Some food were resembling the famous and delicate Chinese cuisines. We fully enjoyed Pan Pacific Suzhou Hotel's Panmen Scenic Area. The scenes of their large beautiful garden at noon and at night was unforgetable. We had a chance to try Chinese traditional clothings from Wu Palace Hanfu Experience Center (with Ms. Yichen's generous assistance) and also one-hour cheongsam experience (for women) that helped us to take many beautiful memorable photos. Other hotel's enjoyable benefits include Suzhou Memories-Wu Palace Historical, Collection of Passport Documents for Wu Palace, Tai Chi Experience, CNY 100 SPA voucher at Jialiya Spa & Free self-service laundry and drying. It surely gave us worth time to spent in the hotel. Our sweet 5-star experience with Pan Pacific Suzhou Hotel this time surely will make us to come back to this great hotel in our next visit to Suzhou.

Stumbled upon this hotel, saw the price was good, so I booked it. Only found out upon check-in that this is the tallest building in Wuxi. The subway station is right downstairs, and Xiao Lou Alley is just across the street. Getting around is super convenient. The hotel's ground-floor entrance isn't very obvious; I walked around a bit before finding it and initially thought it was an office building lobby. I went in and asked, and that's when I learned the hotel's front desk is on the 43rd floor. Taking the express elevator made my ears pop a bit. The room was great, the view was nice, and it was clean. The complimentary soft drinks from the minibar for Trip.com members and the welcome fruit from the hotel were a thoughtful touch. I had read reviews mentioning poor soundproofing and was worried it might affect my sleep, but it turned out to be very quiet. Check-out was also very fast; I just handed in the room card and left. Overall, it was a very good experience. I'd definitely stay here again.

The hotel's location is fantastic, super convenient for shopping and dining. While the facilities are a bit dated, all the staff are incredibly proactive and enthusiastic. The rooms are spotless. Amy Zhang from customer service even noticed we had a child and proactively offered a kids' care set, slippers, and a toy. We had a lot of luggage for our international trip, and the concierge team was incredibly helpful throughout the check-in and check-out process, assisting us with our bags. Overall, a great stay! Highly recommend.

The hotel rooms are really nice and clean. They even have a tea room, a balcony, and a coffee machine! The owner and staff are incredibly warm and friendly. They went out of their way to help us, especially since we were traveling with an elderly person in a wheelchair, even coming to the parking lot to pick us up. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Guanqian Street and also very close to Pingjiang Road. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Suzhou.

My stay was fantastic! The hotel's ambiance is elegant and cozy, and the room layout is well-designed with great natural light and views of Jinji Lake and the Gate of the Orient at night. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the amenities were complete. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The service was thoughtful and attentive; the front desk staff was professional and efficient. I particularly appreciated a few small gestures: after check-in, the front desk person personally escorted me to the elevator lobby, and although the doorman couldn't make it in time to close my car door as I was leaving, he still rushed over. These might seem like minor details, and it wouldn't have mattered if they hadn't happened, but they truly show that service is their top priority, making you feel right at home. This hotel is perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. Highly recommend and would definitely return! - Dolphin Peanut

The front desk service was excellent. When I checked in, they proactively asked for my flight time and helped me choose a quiet room further inside. The room was clean, and the mattress was just right—not too soft, not too firm. In the morning, since I had an early flight, it was great to be able to walk to security in just a few minutes, all indoors, so I didn't get wet. When I checked out, the invoice was already prepared, which saved a lot of time.

I booked the most basic room and didn't realize it had no windows. The front desk kindly upgraded me to a room of the same type with a window. The room was small, but perfectly sufficient for one person, and very clean. I was only staying for one night anyway. The breakfast staff were great, but the food itself was quite simple, though enough to fill you up. For me, as long as there's coffee, I'm good. Downside: Marriott members booking through Trip.com don't receive any benefits.

The Xuanwu Hotel is an older five-star hotel, but it doesn't feel dated at all when you walk in. The public facilities are excellent, no complaints there, though the rooms are a bit small. The service is decent, nothing exceptional but perfectly adequate. Its biggest strength is its fantastic location: close to the subway and Xuanwu Lake. Plus, you can enjoy the view from the revolving restaurant, Xuan Palace, during breakfast. I booked this for some out-of-town guests, and they were very satisfied with their stay.

🌸 A sunny March is the perfect time for flower viewing. Carrying a slight regret from our last trip and a lingering fondness for Nanxiang, we embarked on this Nanjing journey, with the Nanjing Shangri-La, of course, as our first stop. 1. **Location**: The hotel's location is superb, right next to Xinmofan Road Metro Station, making it incredibly convenient to reach all major attractions. It's also very close to Xuanwu Lake, just a few minutes' walk away. Strolling along the lake, with willows swaying and flowers vying for attention – the dazzling tulips, the blooming crabapples (some green, some red), and especially that expansive cherry blossom grove. From a distance, it looked like a pink mist. A gentle spring breeze would bring a shower of cherry blossoms, petals fluttering down and scattering, softly carpeting the earth in pink. The peach blossoms were not to be outdone, white, pink, and crimson, blooming profusely on the branches, attracting countless busy little bees and adding vibrant color to the lakeside spring. 2. **Room**: We stayed in a lake-view suite again this time, and I'm grateful to the Horizon Club staff for arranging a high-floor room. The room was clean, tidy, spacious, and bright, with a large living room and bedroom. The floor-to-ceiling window offered a side view of Xuanwu Lake, which was a slight pity. There was no separate walk-in closet, the luggage rack was rather high and narrow, and the bathroom toilet wasn't smart and wasn't separated, all indicating the hotel's age. However, the room service was commendable. They were always responsive, not only providing a luggage rack and a drying pole but also bringing a pot of orchids, which added color to the room. When we mentioned that the welcome dessert wasn't very good, they immediately replaced it with cherry blossom cupcakes and chocolates the next day, which was very thoughtful. 3. **Dining**: The hotel's 'Jiangnan Wok' restaurant specializes in Huaiyang cuisine and is a Black Pearl two-diamond establishment. The restaurant has an elegant ambiance, and the waitstaff are all polite. The 'Clear Broth Lion's Head' was fragrant, soft, and melted in the mouth, while the 'Huaiyang Soft Wok Eel' was silky smooth and tender, our absolute favorite. The unexpected surprise was the 'Stir-fried Beef with Brisket Fat' – the beef was tender and aromatic, with excellent wok hei. Being spice lovers, we also ordered the 'Jiangnan Wok Maoxuewang,' which was also excellent. The large chunks of eel and generous shrimp balls showed no skimping on ingredients, and the flavor definitely rivaled external Sichuan and Hunan restaurants. Personally, I found the pan-fried buns just okay. The 'Xiao Xian Rou' crispy pastry reminded me of Shanghai's fresh pork mooncakes, but felt like it lacked a bit of juice. Breakfast at the ground-floor buffet used to impress me, but this time, the taste felt a bit off compared to before. The 'Jiangnan Wok' breakfast selection was rich, the duck blood vermicelli soup was very fresh and delicious, and the handmade soup dumplings were also good. The beef potstickers had a fragrant filling, but the crust wasn't crispy enough. The bread and pastry section had a variety of choices, but the taste felt average, especially my favorite caramel egg tart, whose crust was soft, almost as if it had been microwaved. The Horizon Club breakfast is semi-buffet style, with a la carte options available. The pan-fried salmon was exquisite and delicious, and the duck blood vermicelli soup was generously portioned and very fresh. The restaurant's bread station even had a small toaster, allowing guests to heat their own bread, which was a thoughtful touch. However, I felt the standard had declined compared to before; the Eggs Benedict were solid, the beef in the Nanjing beef noodles was tough, and the steamed buns in the steamer were sometimes not hot, affecting the taste. Although the happy hour offerings were quite rich, the taste was average. Even more unbelievable, we found plastic wrap in the food – this shouldn't happen at a Shangri-La brand hotel. Nevertheless, the service attitude of the staff, whether in the ground-floor restaurant or the Horizon Club, was still very attentive and enthusiastic. I also encountered an unprecedented issue at the gym. For two consecutive days, I was stopped at the entrance because the staff said my room card and room number didn't match. Later, the duty manager likely issued a new room card, but it canceled my previously noted late check-out, causing me to be unable to enter on check-out day, which was quite embarrassing. Although the gym operates 24/7 with room card access, the restroom is shared with the pool, and it's unavailable after staff leave at 11 PM, which is inconvenient for guests who come to work out late. In summary, this stay brought me both joy and sorrow. I hope the hotel can strengthen its training and management to reach new heights and become a landmark of Nanjing, a place one thinks of when Nanjing is mentioned!

Towards the end of my holiday, I chose the tallest hotel in Nanjing. The hotel provided a room on the 67th floor with a view of Xuanwu Lake and Zijin Mountain. The most striking feature inside was the large circular bathtub. Before this, I had already traveled to Shanghai during my third year of junior high school, dealing with work all the way, and was quite tired. For dinner and breakfast, I opted to dine at the hotel. Dinner was at the Summit restaurant on the 76th-77th floors, mainly featuring Huaiyang and fusion cuisine. It wasn't as salty as typical Nanjing dishes, and the cold dish with scampi was a highlight. The restaurant's main hall faces south towards Xinjiekou. Breakfast was at the coffee bar on the 45th floor, available from 9 AM to 7 PM. You could access the observation deck with your room card, which offered views to the north: Zijin Mountain, Jiming Temple, Xuanwu Lake, and the TV tower. The duck blood vermicelli soup and baked flatbread were very Nanjing in the breakfast spread, and the rest was typical InterContinental – very rich and varied. My only minor gripe was that the fruit station didn't have the cucumber sticks and juice often found at the Shanghai InterContinental; I had to get a bowl of cucumber slices from the salad bar. I visited the independently operated heated pool and gym after dinner, but it was quite crowded due to Chinese New Year, so it wasn't particularly enjoyable. I then explored the mall next door, which was pretty much as described by Nanjing local media. The only new development is that Sunrise Duty Free is setting up shop on the first floor and is currently under renovation. In a nutshell, my review of the hotel is: Majestic and awe-inspiring! Facilities: Everything you could need. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: A unique experience. Even with a strong gale outside at night, there was no howling sound once the ventilation windows were sealed. However, before 9 PM, you could hear outdoor loudspeakers from the nearby park or square, which was unavoidable – the entire city acts like a giant amplifier. Service: Warm and thoughtful, with appropriate boundaries, which I personally find more important.

GGuest UserWe booked a private family room, and the housekeeper, Ms. Zhou, checked us in and took us to the guest room. The room has a large bed and a small bed. The bathing pool is in the yard. If you need to soak in the hot spring, just tell Ms. Zhou and she will happily come over and help fill the hot spring water. She is a very nice person. I really like her. No. I had to go to the public hot springs to soak with others, it was very comfortable. I also went to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The air was very good. I had a very good accommodation experience this time. I will go there often in the future!

GGuest UserThe service at the hotel was excellent, they were polite and very helpful. Any questions that you asked, they answered without hesitation. Overall the staff, were the best if I have to compare with other big and small hotels that I have been to. My friend and I booked the hotel together. The rooms were very very nice. We loved them. It was easy to travel around the resort, they have golf carts that can take you around the resort. So many activities to do there. You need to speak a little bit of Chinese though. But in case you don’t they will find someone to help you there. The hotel package we took included the hot springs, spar and breakfast. It was worth it. The springs are the best. There is also an infinity pool. The people there are very helpful, great service. It was easy to spot two foreigners but they treated us with so much kindness, especially the man and woman at the fish spring and the little cafe there names: 张浩川, 张刘纪 and 彭玉琴. So Hentique hotels and resort is huge. The area and the activities you can do there are plenty. You can get on a helicopter(480rmb), boat(272rmb) it includes going to the islands and mountain hiking, horse riding and many more. You just have to come with a good budget. Breakfast is at the big hotel that has a great view of the lake. Hentique pinecone has different restaurants around, the food is between 100 -300 per person. I suggest you bring snacks because there aren’t any shops close by. The big hotel has a shop where you can buy snacks for a price, and an all day restaurant. We ended up moving from hentique pinecone hotel to the big hotel but paid a little bit more and was worth every penny. The hotel really good, with a nice view, the manager on duty that day August 16th 2023 was the best manager, I forgot his name. His English was very very good. He answered all questions and helped us transfer from 松果 to the big hotel. Having being in China for a long time, this was the best trip ever, with the best service. We will surely go back to this place. Best service ever. Keep up the good work!!!

DD0971****As other online reviews mentioned, don't expect much from the service here. 1. Usually, hotels have a butler escort you to your room and explain things, or at least wait at the door. On our check-in day, we arrived at our room to find the door open. A staff member in plain clothes suddenly emerged from the room, startling us. But that's a minor detail. 2. The public hot spring (gongtang) operating hours are 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM. However, when we went at 9:30 PM, after showering, ready to soak, we were told the 'golden' spring (jintang) was already being cleaned and we couldn't use it. Why couldn't anyone warn us when we entered or while we were showering? They started cleaning a full hour before closing, and there were 3-4 other guests in the women's bath at the time; everyone just looked at each other in disbelief. 3. On Tuesday, before checking out, I wanted to have one last soak, so I woke up early. But when I entered the women's changing room, all the lights were off (the locker access card still worked, so the access control wasn't off, and there were no 'closed' signs at the entrance). I had to call the front desk myself to find out it was closed on Tuesdays. No one mentioned this to us during check-in or at any other time, and it wasn't in the check-in guide. So, we woke up early for nothing. The front desk said it was mentioned on Ctrip (it was, but in tiny font about seven or eight pages down). There were also no compensation measures. When we checked out, there were even other guests who had driven over specifically for the hot springs, only to be told it was closed that day. They also made a wasted trip, so the unclear signage is definitely not an isolated incident. Other than that, the value for money is quite good, and the private hot spring (sitang) fees are reasonable, though the private springs only offer the 'silver' spring (yintang).

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful Chinese New Year holiday at this hotel. The decorations were perfect for taking photos, and the service was thoughtful and warm. The security guard at the entrance even kindly told us about the shuttle bus to the ancient town and gave lollipops to the kids! The lantern show at Daguan Garden was absolutely stunning at night. Since there weren't many people, the kids had a blast running around the corridors. The complimentary travel photoshoot was great value for money, though posed shots aren't really suitable for young children, especially with two of them – props to the photographer for his patience! 😂 The Chinese New Year activities in the lobby were very entertaining. The indoor and outdoor kids' play areas, though not huge, kept the little ones occupied for a while. The heated pool's water was a bit cool, which could be improved. Overall, it's a great resort for families with both elderly parents and young children, and I noticed a surprisingly high number of seniors among the guests! 😝

NNikenvxiaI had a very satisfying trip. Banyan Tree is my favorite among resort hotels, on par with Aman. I've admired Banyan Tree ever since I started researching it for a university paper. After booking the hotel, they proactively created a WeChat group for us, where questions were answered quickly. They even reminded us about the park entrance, provided the QR code, and advised us to bring our own swimsuits for the hot springs. The hotel is located within the Garden Expo Park, quite far from Nanjing city center, but it's quiet and less crowded. The entire hotel was designed by the renowned CCD. Every angle is worth savoring; the integration of architecture, environment, and the mine is exquisite. Due to limited space, they tried to ensure every room offers a view of Jinling's sunset. Upon check-in, we received a cute tortoise, and this time it was a reusable bag, which is more practical than a sandbag. The manager is also very talented, with excellent calligraphy skills. Banyan Tree truly has hidden gems among its staff. The hotel has diffusers everywhere, each with a unique scent. The sandalwood on Friday was tranquil, while the 'Night Queen' on Saturday was sweeter and more suitable for a holiday. Our room was spacious, and the bathtub was huge. The minibar offered a wide variety of soft drinks, and the coffee was also good. The semi-open balcony was fantastic. Opening the curtains, you could enjoy a private hot spring bath in your swimsuit, watching the sunset and beautiful scenery. However, the weather these days makes it a bit chilly. The restaurant isn't large, but the breakfast was very abundant. Before coming, I saw many reviews complaining about breakfast, but my actual experience found it to be very rich. Everything you could think of was there, plus Nanjing specialties like noodles and duck blood vermicelli. The stir-fries, freshly made wontons, freshly squeezed juices, various cheeses, and high-quality ice cream were all excellent! The entire restaurant was filled with food. (I don't understand those who criticized the breakfast; perhaps they expected a full Manchu-Han imperial feast after paying a few thousand yuan for the room. But how much can one person eat? It wasn't uncommon to see tables with untouched food after people left... Wasting ten or even a hundred times the amount of food for a little extra for oneself isn't exactly what the hotel advocates for environmental protection, is it? While hotels need to meet customer demands, unconditional compromise is another issue. Even overseas five-star hotels offer a similar range of food. In modern times, who really lacks a bite to eat...?) The staff's attitude was excellent. Both the front desk and other hotel staff smiled and greeted us (they were perhaps a bit too enthusiastic for an introverted person like me, haha, maybe they'd received negative reviews about their attitude before, I sympathize). When we entered the elevator, a cleaning staff member immediately exited, waited for us to go in, and then we realized she was originally going to another floor but chose not to share the elevator with us. This shows excellent hotel training. For me, an ideal resort hotel appears only when needed to meet customer demands, and otherwise isn't overly enthusiastic. It feels comfortable, just like being at home. The public hot springs are divided into indoor and outdoor sections. On Friday evening, it was almost like having the place to ourselves, completely empty. I tried every part, inside and out; it was very comfortable and relaxing. The temperature, in the teens (Celsius), wasn't cold, and the starlight combined with the hotel's soft, warm lighting created a very pleasant ambiance. The next morning, I went downstairs to see the hotel's black swans. As soon as I approached, they all swam over, making 'goo goo goo' sounds, so enthusiastic, haha! Unfortunately, we didn't have food to feed them, so they swam away after a short while. The stream and the small island opposite, combined with the V-shaped bridge, offer a view of winding architecture and flowing water to the west, with four little cuties below. Upon checkout, we received a scented stone diffuser as a souvenir; the lemon scent was very refreshing. I love it here. It's so comfortable when it's not too crowded on weekdays or Fridays.
