The hotel's scenery is exceptionally beautiful, with a Chinese-inspired design and blessings extended to every guest. The courtyard is adorned with crape myrtle, pomegranates, and magnolia flowers, creating a sense of abundant beauty and prosperity. Flower-lined paths lead to picturesque spots, making every step a delight, and allowing one to forget all worries and simply immerse in the moment. The public hot springs are spacious, available both indoors and outdoors. The rooms are private villas, some with their own hot spring baths, and the温泉 water is natural radon spring water. The front desk managers, Helen and Li Yilin, were very attentive. I would definitely choose Fairmont Chengdu Hot Springs again if I have the chance; it must be even more beautiful in the autumn. This was a wonderful trip.

The team (under the leadership of Lucy Yeung, the manager, supported by Alina Shek) in respect of hospitality service quality of the beforesaid hotel was considered exceptionally outstanding! The restaurant service quality as experienced is also considered excellent and parallelly brilliant in their discharging encountering service provision, especially Tom Huang (黄金平 ； Elena Chen(陈怡)； Cu jiao jiao (徐娇娇), Lesley Lei (restaurant management)! The variety and quality of food are impressively good. Even the service provision of the floor cleaning staff like Erica Wang (王小红) is also exceptionally impressive and satisfactorily good. I am attaching some photos to validate my impreesive perceptions on this outstanding hotel. I have no reservation recommending this hotel to others! Except for the location, which I found a bit inconvenient, everything else at Old Shuncheng Street deserves a resounding five-star review. It's actually quite central, with views of Tianfu Square. However, getting to the South Gate is a bit of a trek. The lobby on the 25th floor offers expansive views, and the service is truly excellent. You're greeted as you exit the elevator, guided to the guest room elevators, and receive phone calls both before check-in and after check-out. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, the bedding is top-notch, and even the toiletries are good – I particularly liked the toothpaste. Breakfast deserves special praise; it's among the best at any high-end hotel in Chengdu, surpassing even the Waldorf Astoria and W. What makes it stand out: fresh, beautifully presented fruit, with watermelon cut into perfectly uniform pieces – a lovely detail. The Mapo Tofu at breakfast was incredibly authentic and tasted amazing with the mini steamed buns… and so on. Highly recommended! At this price point in Chengdu's old city, it's essentially the pinnacle. Highly, highly recommended!

I was very satisfied with the room's view; the tower view was great. The location is also excellent, and the hotel's environment is nice. All areas were very clean, and the service was so meticulous that the butler even reminded me about the weather forecast for the day!

The room itself was beautifully decorated, but the biggest surprise was the excellent hotel service, especially from Lotus, our concierge. Not only did she help me receive a delivery, but she also looked after the fresh produce it contained and even helped me carry things up and down. She deserves a special shout-out, as she really kicked off my trip to Chengdu and the snowy mountains on a high note!

Traveling to Chengdu at the tail end of summer, I stayed at a hotel with an excellent location right in the city center. Transportation was super convenient with easy access to both subways and buses. It was incredibly easy to get to all the surrounding attractions. Many popular spots like museums, science centers, Chunxi Road, and Taikoo Li were all within walking distance. There were also tons of food options, anything you could want, and plenty of shopping malls too. The hotel itself was clean, and the breakfast was plentiful with healthy ingredients. The staff (the 'dajie') were also very warm and friendly. Definitely a thumbs up! [Strong]

Every summer, I come to Mount Qingcheng, and I've pretty much stayed at all the famous hotels and guesthouses here, with Six Senses being the only one left. So I decided to stay for a night. The reason I waited so long to try Six Senses is because of the mixed reviews online – some praise it to the heavens, others tear it down, making me hesitant to spend money unnecessarily. However, since I've practically stayed everywhere else, I finally gave in to the urge to check out Six Senses! Let me start with the conclusion: the experience was truly disappointing, even a huge letdown! Why? First, its location right next to the Qingcheng Mountain High-Speed Rail Station means there's no sense of secluded retreat at all, which completely undermines the Six Senses brand's reputation for seclusion. Upon entering, it felt hot and stuffy everywhere, not cool at all. This is because the vegetation around the hotel is too sparse, and the trees aren't lush, causing the ground to be scorched. It felt like I had entered a farmhouse guesthouse in Qingcheng Mountain town, completely lacking the ethereal charm of Mount Qingcheng. Moreover, the hotel doesn't have large water features, further diminishing any sense of vibrancy! To put it bluntly, it's not even as good as the adjacent Howard Johnson Qingcheng, which has an earthy charm that makes you feel refreshed and peaceful as soon as you enter. Furthermore, the overall design of the hotel is terribly poor; it's a maze with no clear hierarchy or aesthetic appeal. The room design is even worse, truly embodying the 'upscale farmhouse' aesthetic – neither ancient nor modern, neither rustic nor sophisticated. The interior space of the room is partitioned into small compartments, the lighting is dim, and the balcony is incredibly tiny and mosquito-ridden, making it impossible to relax and enjoy a vacation! The flow within the room is chaotic; the minibar and fridge are placed next to the bed, and when you want to turn off the lights for sleep, you can't find the switch, having to get up and go to the sofa to turn it off. The fan is impossible to turn off easily, and there are hardly any power outlets for phones and laptops! I don't know which designer came up with this anti-human design; it's as if they deliberately made guests uncomfortable! What's even more ridiculous is that the king room and garden room are designed with one above the other, making it easy to see people downstairs from upstairs! Is this to make it convenient for neighbors to visit? It's so 'down-to-earth' that it feels like living in a residential complex! Where's the vacation feeling in that? In short, the stay was very unpleasant. The room wasn't spacious enough, nor was it cozy! You couldn't comfortably lie down or sit up! The room design of Six Senses lacks the grandeur of Qingcheng Songpin, the style of Zuowang Senlin, the ethereal quality of Qingxia Shanju, and the层次感 (sense of layering) of Qingcheng Mountain Resort! However, Six Senses does have its merits, primarily its excellent service. Before check-in, they call to confirm, and after check-in, a butler contacts you, sending various reminders throughout your stay and assisting with booking complimentary services within the hotel. If anything is needed in the room, just ask, and it's delivered immediately. This aspect was quite satisfactory; the service can be said to be the best among all hotels in Qingcheng Mountain, and this alone lives up to the Six Senses brand. Also, the breakfast variety is quite rich and of good quality; the yogurt is homemade by the hotel, and the cherry tomatoes are homegrown. The only inconvenience is having to run up and down between floors in the restaurant to get food! To summarize, Six Senses is worth at most 1,000 yuan per night. Such a high room rate is simply overpriced and a rip-off. Staying there a second time would be a complete waste of money!

The room was spacious, and the location was fairly convenient. Downstairs there's a commercial street, but it's quite chaotic. The hotel is located on the 30th-34th floors of an office building, but the elevators are shared. You typically have to wait 3-5 minutes to go up or down, which is a very poor experience. The front desk service was excellent, and the breakfast offered a good variety and tasted decent. Overall, it matched the price point.

A quiet Ming and Qing dynasty Sichuan-style courtyard house, nestled amidst the hustle and bustle. The hotel is conveniently located near Wenshu Monastery and the old street. Inside, there's a theater where you can watch Bian Lian (face-changing) Sichuan Opera and enjoy Gaiwan tea. We even bought some Sichuan tea from the hotel's teahouse. The service was excellent; I forgot some clothes, and the front desk kindly couriered them to me.

We had a very comfortable stay. They upgraded us for free from a twin room to a twin tatami room, and even had a rain shower, which was a great experience. The breakfast noodles were delicious and I really enjoyed them! The hotel's location is convenient for visiting all the attractions. Every morning, you can get a complimentary coffee from the hotel when you head out, and a drink when you return in the evening. There's also a super popular and delicious noodle shop right next to the hotel. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chengdu; it far exceeded my expectations!
