OlagThe hotel is well located for the city centre, there were no bottles of water in our room but we saw other rooms had water when I requested for it I was told the tap water was good enough to drink but there was no sign in the room stating this.
I had to ask for bathrobes and slippers
The bathroom showed signs of tiredness with some mould in areas
Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful

Guest Userno parking at this establishment and no dropping off available at times as their maintenance and delivery vans might take up the small space cut into the front pavement. They do provide you with a discount voucher at nearby public carparks. Rooms are clean but the decorating is a patch up job throughout. The noise from the tram it is horrible and through the night as windows are not soundproof. In our room the heating was out of order and oil filled radiators were put up instead. Television sets have either the option for TV channels or to connect to your phone: bad aerial prevented viewing most channels and TV only connected to the staff's androids and not to our iphones. There was no options for apps such as youtube or netflix and kids have to entertain themselves on their tablet. Swimming pool is the size of a private one in a residential home. Staff is courteous and the breakfast is way and beyond satisfactory. The majestic hall from their photos was nowhere to be seen. Would go again if no other options shall be available at the time.

My middle name is FrancesOverall enjoyed my stay. I initially had a room (705) located at the end next to the staff room but changed to another room because of the constant slamming of the doors and loud staff conversations that I could hear from my room. My room change was dealt with smoothly and I preferred it to the one before. The gym was great to use, though the room is small and many of the cardio machines were squeezed in. The main issue I had was with the inconsistent standards of cleanliness with housekeeping of my rooms; when I checked into the first room, there were toe nail clippers left on the floor that was visibly seen. When my room was cleaned the next day, the floor was half cleaned, bins were emptied and drinks replenished but the toilet was not cleaned. Table and desk area were not cleaned also. Housekeeping in the second room was better; they did everything but just didn’t clean the floor which was annoying. The rooms are well designed with lovely city view. Location is okay - it’s about 20-25min walk from Manchester Piccadilly which I did with my suitcase and was fine. Sainsbury’s literally around the corner and loads of restaurants nearby. I would stay again however it’s ridiculous in my opinion to complain about housekeeping standards as a guest when staff should just know how to properly clean a room.

Guest UserI stayed at the Mercure Manchester Norton Grange Hotel & Spa for three nights over a weekend and honestly had a great time.
The spa facilities were spot on. the pool and jacuzzi were lovely and they’ve also got a steam room, two saunas, an aromatic room and even a cold room. Plenty to keep you relaxed.
The location is really peaceful with nice views over the fields. you might even catch a glimpse of goats or sheep wandering about.
The room itself was clean. tidy and spacious. I had a standard privilege room and it was perfect for a short stay. The bathroom was a good size too. Even though the hotel only has two floors, they’ve still got two lifts which was handy.
The spa facilities are open for a good chunk of the day and there’s no strict time limit on using them which I really appreciated.
I booked through a third party with breakfast included, but it didn’t show on the hotel’s system. The staff were really friendly about it though and sorted it straight away after I showed my confirmation. Breakfast was decent. nothing over the top, but a good standard hotel breakfast with everything you’d expect.
Parking is free and there’s loads of space, you just need to register your car on the tablet at reception.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and all positive from my experience. I’d happily go back.

Bazza07It’s not 5 star…
Probably a hard review to write, if it had a title it would be “imbalanced”
Food and drink were excellent and service staff in both areas were on point
Front of desk were a mixed bag but again majority were on point, had 2 rooms(1 an upgrade) both had tired woodwork and fittings that fell apart and a mini bar (empty) with the fascia falling off
You pay 5 star prices and don’t get 5 star package, arrived early so was ok not getting my room but to sit and watch in excess of 50 people get checked in after me and still not get my assigned room after 3pm is poor at best
Upgraded to a suite when we complained about the overall room and experience after being told our original room is an held as an upgrade for others but I had already paid for this level of room may months ago…
Breakfast, food and in restaurant was superb but was challenged at the front as they had no record of my having already prepaid for breakfast which I then had to show them proof from my booking details
We felt judge on arrival which made us feel uncomfortable and felt like as we hadn’t booked direct then we were held back in room allocation
We won’t be back as stayed in much better hotels in the area at a much cheaper price, as said “imbalanced”

The hotel is only a 5-7 minute walk (all indoors) from the arrivals section of Manchester's T2. Importantly, it is only about a 5min walk to the train station where you can take a 30min train ride into the city. The return trip for my wife and I was just under GBP16.00.
Despite proximity to the airport, we didn't hear any planes at all! The rooms were modern, well furnished, bright and comfortable. The toilets were spotlessly clean and importantly the beds were very comfortable.
Note that if you have a lot of luggage, there is a luggage trolley ”rental” thing right outside the doors of the hotel. BUT DON'T DO THIS! Instead, just go to the ground floor of the train station (5min walk away) and pick up a luggage trolley for free instead of paying EUR2.00 for the ”rental” of one.
Check-in was not an issue and Alexandra handled the process very well despite the 'trainee' tag on her jacket.
If I need to stay at an airport hotel in Manchester in the future, this is no doubt for me the one I'd book.

My husband and I booked this hotel to stay on the celebration of our daughter’s wedding and we were very impressed with all aspects of it the location was beautiful and all public areas were stunningly dressed to celebrate the festive period food and service in bars and breakfasts a very high standard the room we had was also very nice the only small thing that let it down was cobwebs and the amount of dust in corners and behind the tv apart from that a very pleasant experience

Global T1Great hotel located just a 3 min walk from Manchester Picadilly Stn.
Arriving into the room I was delighted at the size of the room and bathroom. Room came equipped with a small table, sofa and two soft chairs similar to what would be called a Jnr Suite in the US.
Breakfast buffet at 15 Gbp was great value and top marks for providing individual pots of yogurt in lieu of the trendy open yogurts pans that very few people use due to health concerns.
Big shout out to Mathew on the front desk who managed to get me into a room prior to the formal check in time which was greatly greatly appreciated after an overnight flight from Asia.
Enjoy your stay!
