this I not first time, booked for KSL hotel with my family. but this time very disappointed for their air-conditioning ... not cold, cannot adjust. aircon compressor very loud. I can't even have a good rest.. and swimming pool never well maintain. Alot of algae. on the pool side floor also inside the pool.. that my girl went inside saw..hopefully next booking will be more better .

This tine, we booked 3D2N staycation at Holiday Villa. This was my amazing staycation at Holiday Villa. Connecting room in high floor and facing the same direction as the main road to the hotel lobby. We got to watch fireworks released by Malaysian residents celebrating Hari Raya on the eve. Nice fireworks from good view. Breakfast was good too. Rooms were kept clean . The only 2 improvements are firstly, the queen size bed with bath tub, taking a shower is challenging as the water leak from the side of the bath tub to the floor causing the toilet floor to be wet. I have to clean the floor after my shower. The second improvement is Friday soya bean drink was served hot , unfortunately today (Saturday) the soya bean drink is served cold. Counter staff can be more presentable and professional to serve customers in line than doing own things.

Staffs were really good, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They answered all our questions and made sure everything went smoothly. The hotel is clean and location is convenient, close to KSL. Below the hotel there is a small old school food court selling nice yummy hawker food. If you want extra decor for your room or event, it's available at an additional cost. Best to check with the hotel directly for what's offered and how much it is. Photo attached is the simple decoration surprise for my hubby. Last but not least thank you the Dian, for the arrangement.

The hotel is located in a convenient spot, especially if you are driving. They were having Ramadan buffet promo during my trip but it is a short drive to lots of nice restaurants. We tried Teck Sing for their curry fishhead and paper wrapped herbal chicken (prepare to queue) and Ah Soon BKT. Car park is free for hotel guest. Room design looks dated and lighting is adequate but could be brighter. Toilet looks like it belongs to a different decade. The shower curtain rod was bent and looks flimsy. Overall it is alright for a night stay but they should definitely update their rooms. Plenty of new boutique hotels around for the same price.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru is perfect for a transit stay! The location is fantastic, super close to the immigration checkpoint, easily walkable, which makes crossing the border a breeze. The room was clean and tidy, with new facilities, making for a comfortable and reassuring stay. The breakfast spread was incredibly varied and delicious, truly satisfying. My only regret is that I only stayed for one day, it definitely wasn't enough! The service was warm and attentive, and the overall experience was excellent. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Johor Bahru. Highly recommended!

The hotel's location is excellent; it's right across the road from the Johor Bahru checkpoint, just through the mall. There's also Haidilao downstairs, along with various cafes and bakeries. The hotel room was spacious enough. However, the only downside, and a very disappointing one, is the extremely poor soundproofing! There's a connecting door within the room that's shoddily sealed. We could hear everything from the next room, and even see the light through the door gap. If someone with ill intent were to spread a virus or something similar, it could easily lead to terrible consequences. The hotel's Wi-Fi was also incredibly unstable, disconnecting every five minutes, which was extremely frustrating. The hotel breakfast was also very unappetizing. Please choose carefully.

Stayed at KSL Hot Spring Resort and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made the stay very relaxing. The room was cozy and the environment felt quiet enough to rest properly. The location is also very convenient. It’s easy to get around — just book a Grab car and you can quickly reach the city area as well as nearby attractions, food places, and shopping spots. Travel time is reasonable, so it’s a good base if you plan to explore. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay, especially for travelers who want a clean place to rest while still being close to the city.

Room Condition: The hotel is quite old and a bit rundown, so it’s understandable that the furniture is also aged. The table lamp/study light looked worn out and could use some maintenance. Service: Check-in at the front desk was smooth, but we faced an issue with the TV in our room. We couldn’t watch any channels at all. At first, we thought it might be due to the weather, but the TV in my parents’ room worked fine. We scanned the QR code to request assistance and received only “Noted” as a response. We sent two messages and got the same reply both times. Since there was no follow-up, we went to the front desk to report it in person, but unfortunately, no action was taken until we checked out. That was quite disappointing. Car Park: Try to avoid parking directly under the trees, as there are quite a lot of weaver ants around the area. Breakfast Buffet: The breakfast buffet was okay. The kurma chicken tasted more like ayam ungkep, which was a bit misleading, but I actually loved it since I really like ayam ungkep.

I have been staying at this hotel for many years and like the location and service. Unfortunately, the carpet has a strong odor, and the rooms and lobby are overdue for renovation and upgrading.

Good place for a short stay. The biggest advantage is the location as it is within walking distance to JB Sentral and the customs. The room is spacious compared to a hotel and suitable for overnight trips. Self check-in was easy, just need to follow the instructions carefully. The only downside is the surrounding area is quite quiet at night and parking may be a bit confusing for first timers. Overall still worth the price.
