Second time staying here, lower floor this time in Tower 1. The place really needs a renovation soon I hope. The headboard of the bed was damaged with torn surface, quite an ugly sight! (See second photo) Ants are seen on the table and walls. Housekeeping also needs improvement, only oral care set given, no vanity set & shower caps! Counter service for check-in and check-out were very efficient.

Stay here many times this year. But the safety deposit box encountered error 9 which required the duty manager to reset it. The corner where drinks & complimentary tea/coffee is place has ants. Maybe housekeeping can containise the tea/coffee sachets to prevent ants. Had to clean up. Other than that all good. The buffet breakfast was great too.

Thanks for the free upgrade to the one bedroom suite with sea view :) we enjoyed the comfortable stay very much. Had free shuttle bus to CIQ though I think we could have walked there, it’s literally a stone’s throw away and we cld have saved 10 minutes as you had to go one big round by car.

The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with the front desk staff going above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail stood out throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, spotless, and elegantly designed, offering a beautiful view of the Johor Bahru skyline. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. I especially appreciated the modern amenities provided, from the well-equipped workspace to the luxurious bathroom. Dining at the hotel was another highlight. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of local and international selections, freshly prepared and full of flavor. The service staff were attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The facilities were top-notch – the swimming pool overlooking the city was a fantastic spot to relax, while the gym was well-maintained and equipped with everything needed for a good workout. What truly made the stay exceptional was the warm hospitality of the entire team. Every interaction – whether at the restaurant, housekeeping, or reception – reflected genuine care for guests’ comfort and satisfaction. In short, DoubleTree Hilton Johor Bahru is the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and world-class service. Whether for business or leisure, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Johor Bahru. I look forward to returning soon.

The hotel is just right in the middle of Johor sentral and very convenient with all necessary shops and restaurants nearby. Receptionist have provided a 24th floor room to me which I have much appreciated that with excellent scenery. The room and facilities are quite old but well maintained. Bed and pillow are clean and comfortable. Toilet and bathtub are also well maintained and no smelly issue. The next day morning breakfast is simple and good, nothing much to complaint. Overall staying experience is good and value for money, definitely will choose this hotel again if travel to Johor.

Hotel staff are friendly, the room is big, soft mattress and a few types of pillows are provided. Great breakfast, kitchen staff are friendly too. It’s just opposite City Square shopping mall which is a plus. The carpark is not free as it shares with the residential building. But it is bright and felt safe. The only negative side is the rain shower, difficult to adjust the hot and cold water. The toilet flush is not strong too. Need to press both half and full flush button together to get a stronger flush.

The 3-bedroom is an exclusive unit, well equipped with microwave, big fridge, cooking utensils, good WiFi and huge TV. We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment as the check in process was seamless and the host is very friendly and attentive. The location is very ideal and there are numerous restaurants nearby. She has prepared the apartment with great care and we would love to return to this apartment as and when we are in Johor Bahru.

The host was responsive and helpful in ensuring smooth check-in and out. The location of the apartment building is good, within walking distance to CIQ, city square mall and other shopping areas. The 2 bedroom apartment we booked was clean and neat. The unit smells good too. The only complaint we had was the aircon in the living room being too weak, too old and not cooling. As the windows and balcony sliding doors were huge with great views of the custom check point, the sunlight and heat coming into the unit was unbearable, the aircon does not provide any comfort at all. Luckily the aircon in the bedrooms were working properly. The bathrooms were clean and comfortable to use. The lift is clean and not crowded at all, so going in and out was a breeze.

Had a fantastic experience staying at this resort. The room was clean and well-maintained although the resort was established for years. What a perfect place for relaxing. Had 2 nights stay here. Truly love it.

This is a nice apartment hotel with no room service nor lobby, suitable for families especially with kids. The place is clean when we checked in, and the diy checkin is quite intuitive wth good instructions. For its price during non-peak, there’s little to complain. When it comes to peak though, prices soars, and the number of guests creates a jam at the lift access to the 39 floor apartment rooms. During our stay, one lift was down and with only 3/4 lifts, the waiting time during checkin and checkout is very very long. Hot water the shower is centralised and not reliable at all. Due to its proximity to KSL Mall, size of the room, and its good price during non-peak, its a recommend, but don’t expect perfection here.
