Location : Hotel is in quite area, not quite vivid, good that it's close to Tsutenkaku and close to Ebisucho metro station. Take exit 3 with elevator and exit 5 closest to hotel.
Price : Price is affordable.
Room : Twin room is a bit small. I don't like layout of room that the air condition blowing the air to your face on bed. That made me couldn't breath. I had to turn air condition off finally. No head light. Lights are at your feet.
Staffs : Staff that checked me in wasn't quite nice
Ask me if I will go back. Definitely not even the price will be cheaper..

My dream hotel! Staying here for five nights was such a blessing; it significantly boosted the happiness of my entire Kansai trip. It honestly made me so disappointed with the hotels I stayed in afterward. From now on, whenever I come to Osaka, I'm definitely staying here.
The room was spacious, and the mattress and bedding were incredibly soft and clean – I slept so comfortably. I especially appreciated the fully enclosed duvet cover, which felt very hygienic (unlike another hotel of the same caliber I stayed in later, where they only used a single sheet between the duvet insert and the bottom sheet. Every time I moved, the sheets, duvet, and cover would all get tangled up – it was disgusting! Plus, the material felt as terrible as curtain fabric; it infuriated me!).
The bathroom wasn't huge but was very clean, and all the fixtures were new. There were two bottles of mineral water provided. You need your room card to use the elevator. The view of the river from the window was beautiful, both during the day and at night.

Overall, the service and location were excellent. Very friendly staff and the hotel is close to many places of interest by public transport or within walking distances. Good access to public transport. The only minor thing was probably waiting for the lifts mainly in the mornings, as there are only two small ones. But overall very happy with the service and location.

They change towels every day, location wise it is very close to 3 stations. But you can also walk to tsutenkaku and namba, around 10-15mins away. Receptionists speaks good english too

I had a concert at Kyocera Dome, but my night bus was canceled due to snow, so I quickly booked this hotel. It was a direct route on Midosuji Street. From the outside, it looked like a forest! There was a huge tree at the front desk! There were several check-in machines, so I didn't have to queue and could check in right away. It asked for a photo of my driver's license (why?). This might be difficult for foreigners. To get to the room, you first take the elevator at the front desk, get off on the second floor. Once you're in the hallway, there's another elevator that takes you to the guest rooms. The unique exterior, interesting check-in process, and the fun journey to the room really excited me! The room uses a password key for entry. When I checked in, a receipt-like paper came out with the password on it. It's not an auto-lock, so make sure to press the lock button before you go out. Overall, the room lighting is dim. The full-length mirror is also tucked between two walls, so you can't really see yourself. It's hard to do makeup. The bathroom is small, but if you're used to traveling, I think it's acceptable. I had a very comfortable stay. The TV settings were difficult, and I couldn't watch terrestrial digital broadcasting, but I could watch YouTube.

I booked this hotel and the service was great. It was very convenient that they spoke Chinese. They don't clean the rooms daily; if you want it cleaned, you need to tell the staff. They will help take out the trash though. Everyone was very polite. The price was also reasonable.
Location is just perfect. Easy access to lots of places of interest like dotonbori, Kuromon Market, takashiMaya, .... You may walk for around 30 to 40 minutes OR just ride on the MRT named Shin-Imamaya. From Shin-Imamaya, must exit East to reach the hotel. West exit do not provide elevator. Need to walk up and down with MANY MANY ten steps of staircase
Abeno Q's Mall, Mio and Kintetsu department is located 1 km away. Tsusentaku towel is 200 m away. Donki Quijote is 400 m away Spa world is 100 m away. Best location in Osaka.
The only complaint is the breakfast. I would not say they provided lots of food but sufficient in Japanese style food which I like. Western food is really really limited. Must take the breakfast before 9 am. Even though last order is 9.30 am but after 9 am food will not be topped up if they are running out. So you have very limited choices after 9 am. The breakfast cost 2000 yen. Not suggest to take their breakfast if not in the accomodations package. Overall satisfied.

Located in Osaka Honmachi, safety wasn't an issue, but the convenience factor was lacking. It's about a 7-8 minute walk to the nearest subway station. Shinsaibashi is only one stop away, or a 10-15 minute walk. While it's acceptable for shopping in areas like Shinsaibashi, if you frequently rely on public transport, you'll find yourself walking quite a bit.
The room itself was smaller than anticipated. There wasn't enough space for two people to open their suitcases simultaneously, making it feel quite cramped. The bathroom was, without a doubt, the smallest I've ever encountered in any hotel. I'd always thought Hong Kong bathrooms were tiny, but this one in Osaka was akin to a train restroom. Both using the toilet and showering were incredibly inconvenient, and the shower water was never consistently hot.
Room cleanliness was frankly very average. I'm not sure if it was because there was no window or another reason, but there was a persistent sour smell in the room upon entry. It only somewhat faded after the air conditioning had been running for a while. The smell was especially noticeable in the bathroom. The bed offered only mediocre comfort, and the sheets felt rather low quality. I'm not typically particular about hotel bedding, but this room left me feeling itchy all over, prompting me to constantly spray insect repellent.
The only redeeming quality was the hotel staff's pleasant and helpful demeanor, and they did offer luggage storage.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. The metro station is about 100 meters away, and there are 7-Eleven and Family Mart stores nearby. It is very easy to get to Kyoto Station and convenient for reaching the airport. That’s where the advantages end.
There was no water in the room at check-in. We were told to buy it ourselves from a vending machine. It was also stated that there would be welcome drinks, but there was nothing. The only coffee available was instant and of very poor quality, so after breakfast we had to go to 7-Eleven to buy proper coffee.
Breakfast is listed as being served until 9:30. We arrived at 9:15, and the staff member who was cleaning the area tried to make us leave. The same happened to other guests. Only thanks to the chef were we allowed to stay. At the reception desk, we were told that we should come at 9:00, even though it clearly says breakfast is until 9:30. While we were eating, everything around us was being cleared away, and we were not given the chance to choose our food properly. It felt very uncomfortable.
The rooms are old and worn out. There was a moldy smell in the bathroom. The pajamas provided were very old, thin, grey-blue in color, and almost see-through.
Additionally, we were not informed about the renovation works in the building. There was no message about it when we made the reservation. In reality, there were construction scaffolds, and we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs. Only upon arrival were we given a notice saying there would be painting and other work. There was a noticeable smell of paint in the room.
The location is good, but the service and the condition of the hotel were very disappointing

AAnonymous UserComing from Kansai Airport, you do have to transfer a few times on the subway. However, the hotel is very close to Juso Station, about a 6-7 minute walk. Juso Station has a food street, so dining is super convenient! It's not crowded around at night, so sleeping is very, very quiet! There's a convenience store at the intersection, and Don Quijote is just across the main road! There's also Daikoku Drugstore nearby! Although breakfast is simple, it changes a bit every day, which shows a lot of thought. You'll definitely be full and satisfied! The lobby also has vending machines with beer, drinks, and ice cream! All your normal needs can be met here! Personally, I think even though the location is a little out of the way, it makes up for it in value for money, and transferring subways is still very convenient~
GGuest UserThe hotel is right next to Yotsubashi Station. If you're coming from Shinsaibashi, it's quite a long walk for an in-station transfer, which isn't very convenient. There's a McDonald's and a 24-hour supermarket downstairs. However, the 10 AM check-out time is unacceptable; hotels in Tokyo and Aomori all have 11 AM check-out. On the first night, I asked the front desk for an extra pillow and blanket but was told they didn't have any. Breakfast access is denied after 9:30 AM, and the selection is very limited. The room size was the smallest I encountered during my entire trip to Japan. The price is a bit high, making the value for money just average. While a 26-inch suitcase can be opened, for a family trip, kids pretty much have to sit on the bed as there's not much space to move around. The bathtub and toilet are in the same bathroom, not a separate setup. Overall, if I visit Osaka again, I won't consider this hotel. I strongly advise against booking the breakfast; for over 100 yen per person, you're better off getting something at McDonald's downstairs.

MMapleleaf26Our stay at Koko Hotel was excellent as we met Mr S. Vihanga who is helpful and friendly. Assisted with our luggage storage on the first day and the last day. He showed us where to take the lift, the train stations for our destination. Kudos to his attentive service.
Hotel location is convenient with many eateries. Train station is very close to the hotel. Room is clean although it is quite small. Like the heated toilet seat and bidet at all times. Basic amenities are met. Hair dryer is powerful too. Overall we are happy with our stay.
JJuexiaodiThe hotel is a 10-minute walk from the subway station and consists of two buildings: the main building and an annex. The rooms aren't huge, but they're a good size for hotels in the same price range. They offer 24-hour hot water, coffee, drinks, and a microwave for heating food, which is great. Free luggage storage is also available. There's a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk, so communication was seamless. Breakfast was decent too. The only downside, if I had to pick one, was the constant stream of tour groups. It's also just a 5-minute walk from the main shopping street in Shinsaibashi.
GGuest UserFacilities: The hardware is excellent. There are many power outlets in the room, and it even has USB ports for direct charging. There's a cool-white lighted makeup mirror, which is very convenient for women. You can even open a 28-inch suitcase in the hallway.
Cleanliness: This was the cleanest hotel I stayed in during my 13 days in Japan.
Environment: The location is great, right in the Umeda commercial district. There's a FamilyMart and 7-Eleven both about 200 meters away.
Bonus: The breakfast is really delicious. The curry rice is even better than what you'd find in a regular curry restaurant.

GGuest UserAn absolutely wonderful Japanese hotel experience. The lovely lady at the front desk, who spoke Chinese, kindly explained how to use all the hotel facilities. The onsen (hot spring) was definitely the biggest highlight; a soak in the evening really helped to relieve the day's fatigue. The ladies' room was especially thoughtful, equipped with a vanity mirror and a curling iron. It was very quiet, and the room was clean too.

Very Good
AAmarFromUKLocation:
Next to Bentencho station so easy access to Osaka loop line and Chuo Line for Subway and Rail. Really good location even though it's not central Osaka. The advantage is that you can still get everywhere within 10-20mins and the surrounding area is clean and safe and quiet.
There is a 7-11 next door and a commercial gym (charged at 1650 per day)
Negatives are there is not much to do in the evenings. But this leads to the quietness of the area and is an advantage
Hotel Room:
We stayed in double room and it was large. Nice comfortable bed with good pillows. The AC was modern and good and did not make noise even while we were asleep. The room is cleaned daily (tidy and new towels) with new sheets every 3 days. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. The room was also very clean. The bed has USB and chargers on either side of it. There is space to hang clothes
But the room is really nice. We always were glad to come back to a very clean and tidy place. The TV has English menus but we never watched anything.
Negatives are the fridge could be colder and the bathroom sink has a tiny slope on it so you cannot place product on the sink but you have a shelf above the sink for this. Very slight negatives for what is a great place to stay
Hotel features:
Excellent. Great laundry room with several washers & dryers. Trouser presses, vending machine and ice machine. A rooftop terrace with good views.
The breakfast is free and is underwhelming, just different bread and pastries with choices of juice, soups, water and yogurt. It's acceptable and I guess it's free.
The hotel lobby has little items you can take if needed, such as hair bands, toothbrushes, razor kits but something nice was that they give you bath bombs for free too. Different ones each day.
Staff:
Very friendly and helpful, even after midnight when I made requests they were very fast and helpful
Overview:
100% would stay here again. The price-to-quality ratio and the large room size make this an easy choice. Do not worry about location, I stayed it Dontonburi area before and alothgh its close to everything, its loud, dirty and feels unsafe. But the location of Porta Inn is really good and super easy to get to central areas (around 10-20mins) and easy to get to the airport (direct line) and easy to get to Universal Studios too.
Iitstessa22If you’re looking for a convenient place to stay in Osaka, Welina Hotel Premier is a great choice. Located just a short walk from Dotonbori, this hotel is perfect for travelers who want to explore Osaka’s famous food streets, neon lights, and shopping areas. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable, making it a great place to rest after a long day of sightseeing. Its location is very convenient, close to restaurants, convenience stores, and train stations, making it easy to explore the city. A great option if you want to stay in the heart of Osaka and enjoy the city both day and night.
GGuest UserIt's a good location for travellers looking to explore Osaka. It's close to Osaka Castle and the local underground lines while remaining within a reasonable distance of the city's main downtown district. It has all the needed amenities, fully furnished kitchen equipped with a stove, microwave, and all necessary cutlery, and coin operated laundry. While the dormitories are simple and functional rather than luxurious, they are consistently clean and well-maintained. The sleeping areas are sectioned off to feel private and quiet.

Amazing
RRowell SantiagoI recently stayed at Hotel Cargo Shinsaibashi during my trip to Osaka, and I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and quality packed into this compact, capsule-style accommodation.
One of the biggest highlights of my stay was the toilet and bathroom area — exceptionally clean, modern, and cozy. Despite being a shared facility, everything was spotless and well-maintained at all times. The design was sleek, and the space felt more like a boutique hotel than a budget capsule. The toilets are equipped with Japan’s signature high-tech bidet functions, and the overall cleanliness really exceeded my expectations. Even the subtle lighting and warm wood tones added to the relaxing feel every time I used the bathroom.
The rest of the hotel was equally impressive. The capsules were comfortable, quiet, and felt more private than I expected. The lounge area was a nice place to relax or do a bit of planning for the day. Plus, the location is perfect — just a short walk from Shinsaibashi shopping street and a quick train ride to most Osaka hotspots.
If you’re looking for a well-designed, clean, and cozy place to stay in Osaka, I highly recommend Hotel Cargo Shinsaibashi. Especially if you value hygiene and comfort in shared facilities, this hotel delivers above and beyond.
