2-Star Hotels in Kochi Prefecture, Japan

This is a great little hotel. It was so unassuming that I was pleasantly surprised by the service, comfort and quality of my stay here. I half expected only an average place, but from the moment I entered the lobby and was greeted by the warmest, friendliest reception, I was totally happy. He quickly checked me in, and upon my enquiry on suitable local restaurants he informed me they have free curry right now, along with bottomless drinks (hot and cold, tea, coffee, juice and soft drinks), it was perfect, just want I needed after a long day. He also helped with parking as their hotel lotcwas full. The room was basic, but it was all clean and worked well, the bed was comfy and shower had good pressure and hot water, heaven. Breakfast the next day was also lovely, a good mix of Asian and western. I was chuffed and would gladly stay here again. Located near major shopping and dining in Kochi, this business-class inn was a moderate walk from JR Kochi station and only a few stops away on the local streetcar that runs nearly in front, itself a nostalgic attraction for visitors to the region. Of all my stays in Japan, the front desk and lobby staff went far to make me feel welcome and accommodate my few requests, making my three night stay in Kochi effortless and enjoyable.

Qingyue Hotel is more like a youth hostel. There is a washbasin in the room, but the shower and toilet are shared. There are showers and communal refrigerators on each floor. The boss is a handsome guy who can speak Japanese and Spanish, but he said his English is better.

The location is super convenient, easily accessible by streetcar or bus. They even offer free curry rice in the evenings and a simple breakfast in the mornings. It's truly excellent!

Nice hotel, the room is large, the dinner is very rich, and the shuttle service of Shifang Qingshui City is also provided. The underwater pavilion, the aquarium, and the tour trail are nearby, very convenient and the scenery is beautiful.

I stayed here for one night while on my pilgrimage. I was able to sleep soundly in the quiet environment. I left early the next morning and walked over Matsuo Pass to Kanjizaiji Temple. It was about 21km. The pork cutlet at the restaurant ”Katsumura” in front of the hotel was delicious.

When dining, you can fully feel the atmosphere and comfort and quietness of the space. The main people speak very quietly, creating the tranquility of the space. The bedroom is a room with a mountain view. It is comfortable and design. The layout is very careful. It is a very rare accommodation space on the road. The bosses were very kind and left a very deep impression on this stay. In particular, they saw that there were also white clothes in the space, and they could feel the cultural link with the four countries. Location is perfect if you have a car. You can't see the view from the room, but there is no problem if you just stay. The price is also cheap. The biggest difficulty is dirty and old slippers. I think it's better to spend that cost. I think it's better to bring your mobile slippers if you go.

The hotel's location is a bit difficult to find, but it's easy to find. Parking is limited to one session for guests with a car, and is valid from 8 PM to 10 AM the following morning. The discounted rate is 800 yen (1200 yen if you're parking by yourself). You can purchase a parking ticket from the hotel front desk and park in the parking lot across the street. The rooms are Japanese-style and quite good. There's a large public bath and open-air bath on the top floor. Women must first obtain a key from the front desk and then proceed to the entrance to the women's bath. The breakfast wasn't very good. It's recommended not to include breakfast with this hotel booking, as the selection is quite limited.
