The hotel is really well situated, less than 10 minutes from the JR station, and on the same street as the Shrine, so there were lots of places to eat nearby. I stayed in a dorm, which had more people than I expected for a room (I think I saw at least 60 bed/lockers) so it was quite loud even at night as people kept walking in and out. The actual bed was fine, and the people at the front took their time to walk me through what to know for the hostel. The lounge is a little awkwardly partitioned, but at least you get a space to use if you need food. The dorm itself, I think has a little too many people to be comfortable but is clean enough. The lights never turn off, but because you have a curtain, it blocks out most of it. The largest issue is the noise, since people are coming in and out at random times of the night, and the buttons to open the door are also quite loud when you're trying to sleep. If you want ear plugs, they have them for a fee at the front. Nagano overall was very nice though, and the location made it a lot easier to get around.

We stayed in a twin room. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was a large desk and comfortable chair, so remote work was also possible. The cups and toothbrushes provided were in different colors, black for my husband and white for me, which was a small thing but a nice touch that showed the hotel staff's consideration. Of course, we were also satisfied with the breakfast and hot springs. This quality at a reasonable price is highly recommended. If we come to Suwa again, we will stay here!

The purpose of the trip was to meet up with friends. I booked this hotel because I wanted to stretch out my legs and sleep as a family of three. The hotel is just a 20-second walk from Komoro Station, and parking is available for free at the affiliated coin parking lot in front of the station. The room window faced the station, so I was able to see it, so there was no need to worry. The room was from the Showa era, but it was clean, had no smell, and the shower had good water pressure and was comfortable. The free coffee was a treat.

I thought it was conveniently located near Zenkoji Temple. I was very grateful that there was a microwave in the lobby. Although the price was low, all the necessary amenities were properly installed, which was very helpful.

I had an unexpected overnight stay in Matsumoto and was quite pleased. The room was very clean, and I slept really well. It was quiet and comfortable – the sleep quality in this capsule room was comparable to a single hotel room. The only slight drawback was that it was a bit hard to find. The lighting wasn't great at night, and I walked around for quite a while before I found the entrance. There was no one around late at night, which made me a little uneasy – maybe I'm just a bit timid (haha). However, once inside, the facilities were excellent, and the staff were friendly. Overall, it was a very good experience, thumbs up!

The location is great and it is well maintained. I stayed in the 4 beds female dorm, it was spacious. The bed was big with a little desk at one side of the bed for organising personal items. Each bed has their own charging pod. There are some limitations though: the lift can't be used so suitcases are moved up via staircase. I have to go down to the 2nd floor for the bathroom and toilet. I am not sure how many people are sharing them but I never need to wait an they are clean.

I had a large tatami room with side sitting area and sink as well as an ante-room. I had three delicious Japanese meals at the ryokan that were served with polite elegance. The two in-house onsen baths were a joy to use after a day of skiing. The staff was knowledgeable about how to get around by the buses and suggested the best restaurants for days that I did not eat at the ryokan. Senshinkan Matsuya was situated in the center of.Shibu Onsen town next to three of the public onsen. I could not ask for a better stay!

I am pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was not too small and bathroom and toilet were separate. At reception I was greeted with a welcome drink and in the first floor there are microwaves and washing machines. Around the hotel are many eateries, shops and supermarkets. You can walk there. The breakfast was enough with quite a bit of choice. I think, the parking runs out fast. So arriving earlier is better.

I booked the Matsumoto Yorozuya during a one-day layover in Matsumoto while on a hiking trip in the Highlands. It's a small but lovely place, just a five-minute walk from Matsumoto Station. The simple breakfast is worth mentioning – not a huge variety, but I really enjoyed it; very Japanese.

Ppuisan fongThis ryokan is the furthest from Main Street. But I love the hospitality from the owner and the authenticity of this place. There is a private onsen available in the ryokan, just need to pre register. They provide access to shibu onsen as well. Recommended to book your dinner with them. Restaurants in shibu onsen either close very early or not open regularly. We missed our dinner, but the owner is kind enough to prepare a simple oyakudon for us. Though this place is at the beginning of forest trail to snow monkey park. But it is close during winter. Just take note.

GGuest UserThe room was quite spacious and well-equipped, and it was kept very clean. It's about a ten-minute walk from Matsumoto Station. The area around the hotel is very quiet, though dining and shopping options aren't very convenient.

GGuest UserThis hotel is definitely an older building and it does show. It’s well maintained but know that going into making a booking here! The staff are really incredible, I had an incident with my door and they immediately fixed the problem for me. Additionally I was hoping to get to the Snow Monkey park earlier than the shuttle service was set to depart and they were nice enough to take me! There were some minor cleanliness things like cobwebs and the fridge had a slight mildew scent to it that made me weary to put anything open inside. Additionally there was no hair dryer, I probably could have asked because it’s such a staple amenity but I was in a rush and never did. It’s about a 7 minute walk from the station and there’s a Lawson and Pharmacy en route if you need to grab anything. It’s about 4 minutes from a bus that can take you deeper into the area with more food and shops too. There isn’t much else in this area but it is about an hour from central Nagano. If you’re a solo traveler looking to explore the area but not wanting to spend too much on one of the famous ryokan’s in the area, I definitely recommend!

IInstandyFukashiso could be one of the loveliest accommodation that I have ever stayed at. The staff were very polite, attentive and extremely helpful and courteous. The place itself is so beautiful and quaint. Traditional garments are provided as an option if you want to dress up for dinner. Made for great photo ops! The Kaiseki was the most beautiful equivalent of a degustation I’ve tried, and it was served in a lovely separate intimate dining area. During dinner Nobu-San a fourth generation family member of the owners greeted us which was a lovely touch. Soba was freshly made at the accomodation. We stayed two nights and the Kaiseki menu was different each time. Breakfast was a nice assortment of Japanese and Western options and the coffee machine was actually pretty good. I enjoyed the onsens, there are two public ones that switch locations for men and women and a private one. They were well equipped and relaxing. Our room was on Level 1 with a private bathroom, seating area and little garden view. Overall this place is highly recommended. For a traditional ryokan experience, it was so nice. Even after we checked out, the receptionist gave us a little gift, and even walked us outside to where our car was parked. Such a warm and lovely place. Stay here for sure!

SskyetzkI’m so excited to share a review for this amazing couple. Kazuo-san and his wife were very kind and caring throughout my entire stay. They had the right amenities for a Bed and Breakfast that caters to ski lovers and snow boarders. The B&B is also a more traditional and heritage kind, preserving the authentic looks through time, they’ve been running this for 35 beautiful years. If you’d like, dinner is also available as an add-on, nothing beats a high value home-cooked food, made from the heart. I’ll highly recommend this location, Kazuo-san also goes the extra mile to drop you off at the pick-up points if you don’t have your own car. Beyond that Kazuo-san is also very knowledgeable and informed with the latest news, so he’s able to recommend good ski resorts, summer activities or even delve into the history of surrounding areas like Kurohime and more. I was quite shocked to see some earlier reviews by other foreigners that rated this location quite poorly when they don’t understand what they’ve booked. This is a bed and breakfast inn and it’s every inch authentic as it should be. So if you’re looking for a fuss-free stay with friendly authentic folks, this should be on your list.

宮田雪嵐The hostess of this store is very young and beautiful, with a smile! The temperament is very good 👌👍! I visited this ”Hot Spring Street” and it was indeed the price of this ”Ape” Youth Hostel! Attach the photo taken. One person is less than NT$1,000 a night! This hot spring hotel is really cheap! IInqubeMy GF's review: My stay in Meiji Onsen Ryokan was my first stay at a ryokan, and I’ve never felt more welcome at any other hospitality place I’ve been to before, of which there are many. And even after the first day, I am pretty sure it will probably stay this way forever. I am very grateful for your kind welcome and I am amazed at the work that the team of your hotel does at this place. Everything feels natural and beautiful, and the atmosphere is so peaceful and special. People who work here are passionate about their job, and as a passionate person myself I feel energized and happy to see others be so amused about what they do. I will always remember my first stay here and I will compare other ryokans I go to with Meiji Onsen Ryokan, because I feel that it’s the best ryokan in Japan. Thank you so much for this amazing experience. And Okami-chan is the best girl in all of Nagano! When I come back home, I will tell everyone who she is and where she is from - Meiji Onsen Ryokan, Chino, Nagano, Japan! 🇯🇵 (As a fantastic bonus, it’s even allowed to go in with uncovered tattoos! Not every ryokan can match up to that!)

AAlexIn order to go to the Huyin Shrine to choose this one night, the hotel is near the China Society. Although the hotel facilities are general but very clean, the dinner is a noodles banquet. The taste is very good and completely exceeds the expectations of a small hotel. The breakfast is simple (see Figures 2, 3, 4,), but the taste is also very good. Recommended
