I recently stayed at The Hidden House and overall had a pleasant experience, with a few areas for improvement. The interior design and decoration are a real highlight—stylish and thoughtfully done, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The staff at check-in were able to speak English, which made the process much smoother. Breakfast is also excellent value at around £2.80 per person, offering a good variety of options. The room itself was spacious and well-equipped with useful amenities. One of the standout features is the incredible view of Anshun Bridge, which is truly hard to beat, especially at night. However, there were a few downsides. The balcony was smaller than expected, and some parts of the room felt a little dated and could benefit from renovation. The hotel layout is also quite unusual—it appears to be located within a residential building, with rooms only on the 3rd, 13th, and 14th floors. Security could be improved. While key card access is required for the 13th floor, the 14th floor is accessible without restriction, which didn’t feel entirely safe. Additionally, despite informing the hotel of our arrival time (14:30) and the official check-in time being 14:00, our room was not ready upon arrival. We had to wait an extra hour, and the lack of apology or urgency from staff was disappointing. Overall, a stylish and well-located hotel with great views and value, but with some service and security issues that could be improved.

I recently stayed at a transit hotel in Chengdu and had a very pleasant experience overall. The location is extremely convenient, especially for travelers, as it’s very close to the airport—perfect for short layovers or early flights. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The meals were surprisingly good for a transit hotel, with a nice variety and satisfying quality. The room itself was very clean and well-maintained, which made it easy to relax after a long journey. I also appreciated the facilities and amenities. The hotel offers a comfortable environment with thoughtful touches, and the bathtub was a great bonus—perfect for unwinding and refreshing before the next leg of travel. Despite being so close to the airport, the hotel was not noisy at all. I was able to rest comfortably without any disturbance, which is something I really value. There is also a VIP check-in service available at the airport, which sounds like a great perk, although I wasn’t entirely sure how to use it. It would be helpful if the hotel could provide clearer instructions for guests on how to take advantage of this feature. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone transiting through Chengdu. It offers convenience, comfort, and quality, making travel much more enjoyable.

The hotel is located deep inside Changping Valley, quite a drive up from Siguniangshan Town. If you don't have your own car, the hotel offers 24-hour shuttle service to and from the visitor center. The biggest advantage is that you can enjoy views of Siguniang Mountain from the hotel that are very similar to those from Cat's Nose Ridge. If the weather is good, you can wait for the 'Golden Mountain at Sunset' phenomenon in the evening. The hotel's design is Wabi-sabi style, and the furniture, appliances, and bedding are all quite good. However, as an old hand in architectural design, I felt that the layout and public areas weren't very well-designed. There's an astronomical telescope in the courtyard, which is great for stargazing.

The room was great! I was traveling with my parents and a child, and the hotel's location is excellent, right in the Chunxi Road business district, making it super convenient to get everywhere. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive. From the moment we arrived, they helped open doors and carried our luggage, making everything hassle-free. Check-in was quick, and they even accommodated our request for two adjacent rooms. The hotel is very quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the cleanliness was also impressive. Breakfast was fantastic, both the service and the food. Every staff member we encountered during our stay was so welcoming. I'd definitely want to stay here again next time I'm in Chengdu – it's truly wonderful. Oh, and the little panda gift we received when checking out was adorable; the child loved it!

The hotel is very luxurious and has good attention to detail. Although the room we were in had an amazing view and luxurious feel, some dirt and stains and a few cracks in the furniture takes away the full 5 star wow factor, although it is a great room. Also the hairdryer is very very old and overheats within minutes, you need to pull it out, wait, then try again. Also the AC is not stable, at times we needed to turn it down as low as 10 to actually feel cool as the room is very hot and humid. The staff in general were very warm and accommodating and provided extra water for the room when we called them. However as we wanted to have a little rest in the morning we called to ask if the cleaner could come asap to only change trash and stock up the toilet roll etc, we were informed that there was only one cleaning lady and would need to wait. I find this quite questionable for a hotel that big. The breakfast buffet is good with lots of choice. Pastries, cakes, local specialties, western dishes a plenty. However the coffee machine is weak and only provides espresso and americano, the hotel should upgrade the machine to accommodate those with tastes like lattes and cappuccinos as this is the norm in even 4 star hotels. The robot butler is a great touch.The location is actually very very good. Shopping malls and restaurants are very very close. Overall I would stay here again but the price needs to match the interior.

Chengdu Lin'en Hotel (Taikoo Li Chunxi Road Branch) Stay Review Excellent Location, Heartwarming Service For business travelers or tourists, the biggest highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly its location. It's right next to Taikoo Li and Chunxi Road commercial areas, within walking distance of the subway station and the central business district. This makes it incredibly convenient for meeting clients or exploring, saving a lot of commute time. Attentive Service, Well-Maintained Facilities • Thoughtful Service: From the front desk during check-in to the housekeeping staff, every employee was patient and responsive, making us feel right at home. • Room Experience: While the decor shows its age and the facilities are a bit older, they are well-maintained, clean, and perfectly functional. For this location, it offers excellent value for money. • Dining Surprise: Breakfast was an unexpected bonus. The variety was extensive, and the food was delicious, providing plenty of energy for a day of work or sightseeing. Summary This is a hotel that wins with its 'prime location + soft service'. If you prioritize convenient transportation and personalized service, and aren't looking for the absolute latest in hardware, it's a very reliable choice. I'll likely stay here again on my next business trip to Chengdu.

We specifically came to Mianyang to stay at the Sheraton again, and our children absolutely loved it. The check-in process was very quick and smooth. The hotel breakfast offered a good variety of options and tasted delicious. As expected from a chain brand hotel, the facilities and hygiene standards were consistently high. This time, we chose a high floor, and we were lucky to have a sunny day, so the view from the window was truly beautiful. The service was excellent, and we would definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit.

This is my umpteenth stay at the Ritz-Carlton Chengdu, and the standards are consistently excellent. During check-in, a friendly young man named Luca brought me some herbal tea. After a brief chat, he later delivered a thoughtful, handwritten welcome card to my room before dinner. Of all the five-star and ultra-five-star hotels I've stayed at in Chengdu, the Ritz-Carlton's Executive Lounge offers the most attentive service. From breakfast at 6:30 AM right through to evening desserts at 10 PM, they continuously provide a wonderful array of thoughtful services. I've included some photos of the breakfast and dinner spreads – they're incredibly rich and varied. Plus, for both lunch and dinner, they offer two freshly prepared dishes, like duck breast and pasta, made to order. Every staff member I encountered in the Executive Lounge was exceptionally warm, attentive, proactive, and anticipated my needs. Of course, breakfast is also available at the main restaurant in the lobby on the 25th floor. The variety there is truly astounding; just the noodle bar alone offers six different options (as shown in the pictures). I ate so much that morning, I didn't want to leave. All in all, this is the best hotel experience I've had in Chengdu. Honestly, the price isn't even that high, making it excellent value for money. I will definitely choose to stay here again.

The hotel is located on the 15th floor, in the same building of the Ibis Hotel. You’ll see the signs inside directing you to go in the elevator to floor 15. The hotel lobby is very stylish and we received a warm welcome. I highly recommend international guests to download WeChat as the staff can communicate easily this way. The room was spotless. Lovely robes to use. Bottled water daily. We had the 180 room and it was great. Such a unique experience. The bed was huge and the herbal pillow was amazing. We had free fresh coffee prepared and offered every morning. And a Nespresso machine in the room. The television has no English speaking channels, does my screencast or accept vpn, so it may be an idea to download some programmes/ films to your iPad / phone. We only had one full day in Chengdu and the staff helped us choose the best places to visit. (Our visit was short due to us changing flights because of the Middle East conflict) We had free coffee offered every morning. And a Nespresso machine in the room. DiDi easily found the hotel. Metro 18 is only every hour but we found more regular trains to airport from east Chengdu station. Was less that 40 mins from panda base at 0730am. If we come back to Chengdu we will definitely stay here.

Very satisfied with my stay. Will stay here again when I go to Deyang. Excellent services and facilities, with very professional and friendly staff. Excellent location to allow one to joggle along a river or to walk around the city center. Easy taxi/Didi access. Room services are better than expected, with surprising daily freebies such as fresh fruit, cookies, and freshly squeezed fruit juices. Help desk is very prompt in providing what I requested. Buffet breakfast offers top-notch variety of ready-made Chinese and Western style choices or customer-ordered hot noodles. Just a minor suggestion: this is more a customers' behavior problem (can't believe those guests at a 5-star hotel). Currently, when there is a crowd at the front desk to check out, it is the braver with longer hands that get faster services. I suggest either post a clear sign to ask people to keep in line or have a manager to maintain some kind of an order (no need to be military type:-). This is just to be fair to those who are waiting patiently. And better order may also help promote a better hotel reputation. But I understand bad habits die hard, no matter what you do.
