Location of hotel is excellent next to Gancheng station where our nantou bus from Sun Moon Lake stopped . Room was spacious; toilet has dry & wet separation. Self laundry is available with NT$40 per wash and NT10 per 10min dryer time..Overall a value added hotel. Only disappointment was they asked guest to signed on an agreement to follow their instructions such as no throwing of toilet paper into toilet bowl, NT$200 for extra blanket etc.

Pros: Close to Taoyuan Airport, with a shuttle bus every 30 minutes that gets you to the airport in about 5 minutes. There's an indoor pool, steam sauna, and a well-equipped gym. The breakfast restaurant is spacious, and some rooms offer direct views of the airport, allowing you to watch planes take off and land. Cons: Absolutely no restaurants or convenience stores nearby. The shower area lacks a door, so water easily splashes out. The toilet isn't a bidet, and the room size is a bit small. You can hear some airplane noise from the room, and the breakfast taste is just average.

quite big room to stay very comfortable all things are working inside the room,. also have a good breakfast but breakfast food are all same everyday but its ok. outside the hotel is nice a lot of store lot of food to choose.

An absolutely excellent hotel! The views, ambiance, facilities, and service are all top-notch. What truly stood out was the service. Even though the hotel was very busy, everything was incredibly well-organized, from reserving a dinner table at the restaurant to borrowing bicycles, helping us find a table at breakfast, and managing the pool and beach lounge areas, as well as the fitness and recreation center – everything was handled perfectly. The staff were all very friendly, warm, and thoughtful. Having stayed in hundreds of hotels worldwide, this was by far one of my most satisfying experiences. We booked for five nights and still felt it wasn't enough!

I spent one night in a windowless room at The Grand Hotel Taipei . While the room lacked a view, it was impeccably clean and very comfortable. The building itself is a masterpiece of classical architecture, with stunning decorations throughout. If you're looking to experience this legendary hotel at a great value, the windowless room is an excellent choice!

I had a pleasant stay at Norway Forest Hotel in Taichung. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Taichung Train Station, which makes traveling around the city very convenient. There are also many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean with good water pressure. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The hotel also has a playground for children, which is great for families, as well as laundry and drying facilities, very convenient for longer stays. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money and I would recommend it to travelers visiting Taichung.

Having FX Hotel Taipei many times since 2014, and it’s been interesting to watch how the property has ”evolved” due to many poorer and overpriced competing hotels in the area of Taipei. Early on, there were noticeable shortcomings, but over the years the hotel holds its own as a strong contender in the mid-range category. The rooms are a real highlight—spacious, thoughtfully furnished, and far more practical than many competitors that lean on sparse, minimalist design. For business travelers or digital nomads, the setup makes remote work not just possible but genuinely doable. That said, there are still areas where FX falls short. Bathroom upkeep remains a recurring issue, with mildew and mold appearing across multiple rooms I’ve stayed in. More concerning, on my most recent stay I encountered two small cockroaches in the room, which I immediately reported to the front desk. This was the first time I’ve ever come across live cockroaches in a ********* hotel—something management should address with urgency. The laundry facilities are another letdown. While it’s convenient to have washers and dryers available for extended stays, the dryer is underpowered, taking nearly twice as long as a commercial-grade machine. In practice, it’s often more time-efficient to use a nearby laundromat instead. All that said, FX Hotel Taipei has become a dependable and comfortable choice in its price range. With spacious rooms, practical amenities, and solid value, it remains a good option for travelers. But with better attention to cleanliness and upgraded support facilities, it could raise its standing even further among Taipei’s mid-range hotels. Check-in reception now moved to 15th floor instead of lobby area.

The room was clean and seemed newly renovated. They offer free public parking, which worked out great for my plans. Breakfast and coffee in the morning were good enough to start the day. The hotel’s also within walking distance of the night market. The only downside was that my room faced the road, so it was a bit noisy from traffic, and I could hear sounds from the next room.

My overall experience during the stay had its pros and cons. First, let's talk about the downsides. The hotel's elevators are a bit small, and there are only three of them. During peak check-in and check-out times, you really need a lot of patience, as you often have to wait for a while. The room has a split air conditioning unit, but its cooling performance was just average. For someone who gets hot easily, it might not feel cool enough at night, which slightly detracts from the comfort. However! The absolute highlight and most surprising aspect of this stay was definitely the hotel's hot spring ♨️. I happened to visit on a misty day, and soaking in the hot spring while being surrounded by fog created an incredible atmosphere – it was super relaxing and therapeutic. At that moment, I truly felt like I had made the right choice. Because of this amazing hot spring experience, the earlier minor drawbacks were greatly overshadowed. Overall, if your trip to Jiaoxi is primarily for hot springs and relaxation, this place is definitely worth considering. Around 10mins drive from taoyuan airport Walk down from arrivals to the exit. Taxi fare to the hotel is roughly 160 to 185yuan Real close and convenient. We got upgraded to a bigger room as we checked in lte around 12am for a 5 hours sleep. Hotel is kind enough to book taxi for us 530am the next day and even prepared breakfast pack for us
