Nice hotel with water fountains on every floor. I would give this a 4/5 though because the elevators are atrocious. You have to wait 10-20 minutes sometimes just to get back up or down. And not all elevators go to all floors which is very inefficient. They also had the pool closed and the gym was just treadmills and bikes. Where are the weights? lol All in all it was still a good experience and we had a nice time while visiting Taipei. There is a lot around the Ximending area where the hotel is located.

I recently stayed at Hotel Midtown Richardson in Taipei and found it to be an excellent choice for travelers seeking convenience and modern comfort. The self-check-in kiosks streamlined arrival, and the 24-hour front desk provided helpful travel advice. While the hotel lacks elevators for upper-floor rooms, staff assisted with luggage. The free lobby coffee/tea station was a nice touch, though breakfast (available at an extra cost) offered a decent variety, including fresh fruits and local dishes. Two drawbacks stood out: soundproofing could be improved, as hallway noise was occasionally audible, and the shower’s design led to water splashing. However, these were outweighed by the hotel’s strengths. For budget-conscious travelers, its value-for-money pricing and perks like free luggage storage make it ideal for extended shopping sprees in Ximending. We have enjoyed our stay. It’s new, modern and very clean. The first night was wonderful and quiet. The second night, we had a family next door talking till midnight which was so noisy and annoying. We have told the hotel during the check in that we would like a room in quiet corner or next to quiet elderly residents. Apart from that, it was a good experience for our family. The breakfast is not bad, can be improved.

Very good location, surrounded by public transport & 20mins walk to Ximending night market. Literally opposite Taipei Main Station. The concierge will help you to keep your bag after checkout.

My wife and I found the staff here to be especially helpful and conscientious. The room was what you would expect for a hotel in this price range, and it included an electric kettle and some free tea and coffee. The beds and temperature were comfortable, and the room was clean and in good condition, featuring good lighting in general and very good reading lights for night reading. The exercise room was limited to a few stationary bikes and treadmills with no other workout facilities, but it was easy to access and had a nice, big window. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a good variety of well-prepared food, plenty of seating (indoors and outdoors), and nice decor. We ate there three times and were always pleased with the food and service. There are plenty of restaurants, banks, and stores near the hotel, and it's about a 10 minute taxi ride from the train station. We highly recommend this place.

I could not believe how clean and comfortable this hotel was! It was amazing. Cosy, friendly and in a perfect location for sights and attractions. The Solaria Nisitetsu Hotel has thought of everything. There are fresh fluffy dryers for umbrellas, self-select toiletries, secure luggage lockers, and step-up stool placed next to the washing machine to help you unload the dryer, ( I had just thought a stool would be helpful, I saw it.) Right in the heart and liveliness of the city. The hotels ambience was relaxing. I arrived during a storm, the lobby brought a lovely view, international newspapers and magazines, fresh coffee and stylish decoration. It was a treat to relax there. The friendly team made a huge effort to share the best in service and create a remarkable experience, and they did. Experiencing warm welcomes and genuine kindness, I can not thank the team enough. I appreciated the follow-up on travel questions, the team shared tailored recommendations for art galleries and theatre tickets, considering and checking what was accessible during the storm. The professional reception team, shared helpful suggestions on metro routines too, with times to visit areas and sights to see along the way. These suggestions made a difference. The room standard was amazing. The amenities are five-star standard, and the cheerful housekeeping team were kind and friendly. I would like to extend a huge thank you to the team who was a pleasure to meet. There are many shout-outs for this stay. The kind and thoughtful little things such as handy guidebooks and a well-kept, new gym. Thank you. I will stay again. One of our favorite hotels in Taipei. Service and amenities were perfect. On top of all that, they have a great sauna area and a very very decent gym. One of the most elaborate setup that i have seen, with numerous machines. Definitely a recommend. We got a nice lucky little surprise upgrade and that was amazing.

Pros: The room is brand new and beautifully designed. There is a chaise lounge, a desk and chair, a small chair, and a wooden floor area. A family of four can sit and rest before taking a bath. There is also a balcony, capsule coffee, and the bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas. The overall design is great, the space is large, the floor is clean, the TV channels are very popular with the kids, and the overall hardware is very popular Although the area is a little remote, it is about 15 minutes' drive from the city center, and there is a convenience store within walking distance, which is quite convenient. The parking lot is very good and parking is convenient Disadvantages: The restaurant is beautiful, but the number of seats is insufficient. Even with the split dining, it still feels crowded. The food is not replenished quickly enough. The waiters have a gloomy look on their faces and are not enthusiastic about serving. There are hairs in the cold dishes. There is a game area and free happy hour on the second floor. The online introduction said there were many cocktails, drinks, cookies... In fact, there were only two cans of candy, a small pot of juice, and a small pot of beer. It was marked as not unlimited drinking, which means that it was gone after drinking. However, there are 170 rooms, so this happy hour is quite insincere. There are welcome tea bags and biscuits in the lobby, just two plates, and they are gone after taking them. The service attitude of the counter staff is better than that of the restaurant, but they are not enthusiastic and have no smiles. It can be improved. In addition, the parking entrance and exit are two-way, and the poles on both sides are too long, which is easy to scratch the car body. It is recommended to make it shorter.

At checkin, room was smelling of rotten milk, and it was very cold (18 Celsius). I asked the front desk to change room, they said no, they don’t have any rooms available (there are maybe 100 rooms on my floor alone…) When I told them it’s too cold, they said I should turn off the AC. I said it’s off, they said it must not be, they “advise” me to check again. I checked 3 times, turned it on and off. The front then said they will give me an extra blanket… not once did anyone come to the room to check the smell or AC themselves. Also, they don’t have heating at all, so I had to warm the room with my body temperature only… ***. At night the pipes make noises, and the smell never went away. They also charge to store your luggage. Very disappointed by the hotel cleanliness and service. It was so unaccommodating. They told me it’s a basement room, so the smell is normal. ***… Room has mirrors in the ceiling. I think it’s love hotel.

One of the most elaborate setup that i have seen, with numerous machines. Definitely a recommend. We got a nice lucky little surprise upgrade and that was amazing.

We stayed 2 nights before checking out to go Beitou for a night. The service was great, especially the concierge team & housekeeping who were ultra friendly & helpful. The room was clean but we would have liked it better if the washing area & bathtub are enclosed within a door. The breakfast was disappointing as options were limited & tasted bland, unsure if this is the ********* style but soya milk was really tasteless. We are going back to stay another 2 nights & and we were glad that we did not book the room with breakfast. The exec lounge serves mainly pastries. The hotel is extremely convenient, right next to a mall & MRT + 5 mins taxi ride to Ningxia night market. The downside is that we could not use our hairdryer due to voltage diff & we did not realise earlier as it was our 1st time to Taiwan.

Regent is a 5-star hotel with great service and good location in Zhongshan District in Taipei. Price wise is a bit on the high side but the hotel service is top notch. There is also a small shopping gallery inside the hotel with shops selling luxury products such as LV and Chanel. There is live music at the cafe inside the hotel too. The rooms are big and bed is comfortable. Breakfast is great with big variety of cuisine to choose from. Location is about 10-15mins walk to Zhongshan MRT train station. Nearby has many shops which is convenient.

Nice hotel lobby and friendly staff. Room is spacious with a relaxing forest view. Cleanliness is on point and beds are really comfy. Things that drag down the rating for this hotel. 1. Breakfast was a tad too average. 2. Its regrettable that they dont do cleaning service from evening onwards though they can replenish amenities and clear rubbish out of the room.

I loved everything about this place. Very close to the metro and plenty of amenities. Only thing I did not like was that some staff were not friendly. Because of our language differences, we experienced some misunderstandings and the staffs attitude was very negative towards me. Most staff were very kind and helpful tho. Bonus points for the shuttle bus service to popular attractions.

Superb location in Xinyi. Many shopping opportunities within walking distance, from luxury high-end branded goods to local items. Also, there are many good eats around the area. Highly recommended for a few days in Taipei.

After trying several hotels, now I always stay in Lin whenever I am in Taichung. Centrally located and best hotel. Room size is too big and breakfast buffet spread is also very vast

Overall services were good, from concierge, to check in and check out. The room that was allocated to us was spacious however they could have done better to do regular maintenance on their TV channels and systems. Some channels showed black screen with audio whereas some with visuals but no audio. Called up for service and they got a technician over to check yet no outcome and they decided to brush me off by blaming it on system updates backend. Tried over the next few days and still didn't work, and gave up eventually. Not returning to this hotel for my next trip to Taichung.

Will not come again. This was a horrible experience, I used to stay at this hotel many times years ago, but clearly this is not that same hotel anymore. Staff was friendly, but it was quite chaotic when we checked in, we could not find the bell boy to leave our bags. Breakfast was a joke, we sat in ridiculously low chairs for breakfast, and when I saw the manager, note, the manager not a waitress, picked up a bottle of yogurt from the floor and put back to the bowl for guest, it was quite shocking to me so I asked her why did she do that, she simply said to me ”it's not broken”. What a hotel！！

Great hotel for families. The staff were great and breakfast was very comprehensive. Large rooms and there was a large play area on one of the floors which was beside the gym and laundromat. The service staff were so nice to help us with the laundry machines.

Location is great! Theres a taxi stop/line right in front of the hotel. There’s so many things to do and explore around the hotel, the kids love it. We enjoy the breakfast buffet too! We would like to stay there again next time!

The hotel is in good location, very close to high speed train station. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The gym is nice.

Most disappointed thing might be this prestigious brand without enough renovation. The rate is not as high as ever, and I see that now

I originally booked a hotel next door, but because prices were tight, I booked this hotel when I saw the price was the opposite. I didn't expect that the rooms in the hotel are spacious and very hygienic. They also have floor-mounted suit hangers and plenty of colored lights. I feel very comfortable. There is a sauna in the hotel, which I like very much! But what is surprising is that the hotel's breakfast is in the form of a buffet, with rich food choices and its own brand of ice cream. I didn't expect that there would be ice cream for breakfast, surprise!

The receptionist at the counter and the general customer service were very polite and friendly. The outdoor courtyard was beautiful with many children's play facilities. The breakfast dishes were OK. I stayed in Building B and felt that the room was not very big, which might be due to the layout. Overall, it was OK, except that the water temperature of the shower was too high and it was not easy to Adjust to suitable temperature.

We booked 2 rooms this time, all on 8th floor. But the view of twin room is much better than the double room. A huge difference. You can take a look of the photos. We just tried their lobby cafe this time, service and food taste were ok, but the toast that we’ve ordered arrived cold, due to the malfunction of their oven, what a surprise!

The location of Han Hsien is very convenient. It’s only twenty minutes from the airport. There are coffee shops, bakeries, and markets, fruit stalls and flower shops in the neighbourhood. The Birthday Park is just around the corner. There is a pool, a spa and a Cantonese dim sum restaurant in the hotel which are all of good standard. The hotel is not new but it is well-maintained.

A staff questioned me ”Are you bring the tower back? what is your room number in front of other guests” when We were leaving swimming pool. I didn't bring the dry cloth to change aso I had tower to cover me. The staff's attitude made me feel embarrassing. For me, the service level is very low. However, all the other staff are very kind with smile especially the staff in the 1/F.

They gave us a free upgrade and overall it was a pleasant stay. I saw a dead cockroach in the bathroom sink as I walked into the room though..

Stayed in Nikko Kaohsiung for 2 nights! The room is very comfy and I really enjoyed the bed and bath tub. In the morning, I can enjoy sunshine. It a shame that I didn't go to sauna. I'll stay in Nikko next time :)

Hotel is at excellent location Steps away from E-Da theme park Great restaurants at the Hotel!! Must visit! I do recommend the Japanese restaurant at the lobby level, reservations are a must Rooms are clean and neat and spacious, I visited the suite! It has an additional Japanese room, high class suite and great views! A bathtub with jacuzzi is excellent Amenities are great and generous Highly recommended this Eda Hotel for your next visit

Stayed at H20 Hotel in May 2023. Truly nothing but praises for this hotel - the service was impeccable (a car AND butler service was sent to pick us up from the High speed rail station) and all the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Toilet and shower area was also separate so no flooding issues. Location was also perfect - it was walking distance to the Ruifeng Night Market which has a plethora of street food options. We ate there for three consecutive nights. There's also a sanrio themed convenience store right across from the hotel which made for easy late night snack purchases. Highly recommended

The location of the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung is better than the location of the Grand Hotel Taipei. Also, the view from the guest room at this hotel was better than the one that my parents got when staying at the Grand Hotel Taipei. The view at the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung faces the front of the hotel with trees and the water fountain. The view at the Grand Hotel Taipei was the parking lot. The subway is a bit far from the hotel. The room was quite big and the price was fine. Also, the room was clean and tidy.

The hotel is conveniently located about 10mins walking distance to Sinyi Elementary School Station. The hotel lobby is kinda grand but as its a hotel with long history, lacks abit lustre. my room is on the 15th floor. spacious room with shower and bathtub, big window with good view.. room doesnt come with an international wall socket (only tw 2 flat pin) so remember to bring along the travel adapter, otherwise will have to ask the hotel for one. hotel breakfast is decent.. many beverages to choose from.. overall is ok but the room's aircon is super cold and no matter how i adjust the temp and fan mode it doesn't help.. i had to sleep with the aircon off and hid under the duvet whole night..
