The hotel is conveniently located with friendly and polite front desk staff. The room was clean and hygienic. The elevator at the back of the hotel goes directly to B3, where you can access an underground passage to the MRT, High-Speed Rail, regular train, and Taoyuan Airport MRT without having to cross the street. It's truly convenient.

First Impression: The Luxurious Ritual of a European Castle Subtle and Secluded Driveway: As the car turned from the tree-lined Dunhua North Road, it entered a highly private French-style circular driveway, exclusively designed for VIP guests. Museum-Quality Artistic Ambiance: Stepping into the grand and towering lobby, guests are greeted by an aesthetic space adorned with over 1,700 original artworks and exquisite giant crystal chandeliers. Impeccable Welcome Service: The front desk service is attentive and seamless. Upon being seated, guests are immediately presented with a ceremonial special hibiscus welcome tea and hot towels.

Extremely satisfied! The front desk service was excellent, and they even offered snacks and drinks while we waited. The hotel also provided slippers, and all the snacks and drinks in the minibar were complimentary, plus we got a voucher for a free drink! The breakfast spread was fantastic! Truly memorable and overflowing with delights!

I stayed here nine years ago, and its convenient location was a major plus, as was the attractive window design in the rooms back then. The facilities are still decent now, but they're starting to feel a bit outdated. The air conditioning temperature control is inaccurate; it's either too cold or too humid and hot. The lack of disposable toiletries, and even conditioner, is quite inconvenient, but I respect the environmental policy. As I've gotten older, my sleep has become lighter, and I've started to notice how poor the soundproofing is. I could constantly hear the elevator doors opening, and even feel the vibrations from the trains downstairs. The price was a bit high during the holiday season, but it's still a good option given its downtown location.

I was very satisfied with this stay. It was my first time in Kenting, and I chose the Caesar Park Hotel. I pre-booked the shuttle from Zuoying, Kaohsiung, and everything went smoothly from the start. We arrived at the hotel in over two hours. Although it's 40 years old, the hotel is very well-maintained, the decor is modern, and the service attitude was excellent. Upon check-in, the front desk gave us dining vouchers for the Little Bay Bar and the hotel lobby bar. Sitting on Little Bay Beach opposite the hotel in the evening was very pleasant. The food at the lobby bar was also delicious! The room came with new flip-flops, which were quite comfortable. All the facilities are new, there's a coffee machine, water dispensers on every floor, and self-service washing machines and dryers. The room also had complimentary drinks and snacks, and the soundproofing was excellent! Even with a garden view, it was still very beautiful, and you could see the mountain scenery. The hotel's location is superb, within walking distance of Kenting Main Street. The lobby has bicycles available for rent, and there are also Ubikes outside. Taxis are also quite convenient! You need a ********* ID to rent a car. Breakfast was also good and quite varied. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience!

Hotel is relative clean. Stayed in a single room with a semi double bed. Size is decent but didn’t realised it was behind the lifts, could hear the lift moving through out the day. The shower head position is pretty bad. It’s not on an angle it’s pretty much like spraying directly into your body. It would be great if they could address this. It’s 15 mins walk from the metro station so not closed. Also there was a cockroach in the bathroom. Crawled out of the drain

1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. The cleanliness was acceptable and consistent with the hotel’s facility rating. The location was excellent and suited our needs perfectly, as it is located right next to Taipei Main Station and can be reached in less than a 10-minute walk via the underground passage. Breakfast is served on the 6th floor, but there is no lift access, which may be inconvenient for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. However, it should not be a problem for younger guests. Overall, the hotel met our expectations and offered good value for its convenient location.

I’ve seen a lot of videos recommending this hotel so i booked it. Location is great but it’s not near to the station, you have to walk around 10-15mins to Ximen station and about 20mins to Taipei main station. Staffs were just neutral, not super friendly but they do their jobs. Check in was smooth (they have 24hrs front desk) and I requested for 2 additional pillows (they only provided 2 in the room) and they granted my request with no additional payments. What i didn’t know is how thin the walls are and We got unlucky with the room next to us. He set an alarm almost every minute with different ring tones. And he didn’t wake up from his own alarm 🥲I went down to front desk and earplugs were given for free. We ended up canceling our 1st day trip due to lack of sleep. By the next night, I sleep better (but still keep waking up because earplugs hurt my ears) ‼️thin walls and noisy ceiling (i think it’s from the pressure when someone is using the water idk) ✅super cold ac (good for summer)

Had a great stay at Midtown Richardson Hotel in Ximen from 29 August to 2 September 2026. The location is definitely the biggest highlight. The hotel is right in the heart of Ximending, making it extremely convenient to explore the shopping streets, restaurants, cafés and night market. Ximen MRT Station is also within easy walking distance, which made getting around Taipei very convenient. The room was comfortable and clean, and the overall stay was pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance. I also liked how convenient the hotel was after a long day of sightseeing — plenty of food and shopping options are just steps away. Overall, a great choice if you want to stay in the Ximending area, especially for first-time visitors to Taipei. Would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Taiwan! 🇹🇼
