The location is fantastic! Downstairs there's a bus station, making it super convenient to get to Sun Moon Lake. Taichung Station is also right in front, just a 6-7 minute walk away. However, even though we stayed overnight, they only provided one bottle of water per person. The next morning, when I wanted to make coffee provided by the hotel and asked the front desk for another bottle, they refused. The staff member was a bit unfriendly and expressionless, and there's no water dispenser in the lobby for guests either.

Was a good stay overall. walking distance to popular night market and pharmacies, supermarkets etc. super convenient location. It was just further from the main town.

Fantastic hotel in a very strategic location. Easy access to Tainan's main attractions. Comfy beds and good air con. Overall outstanding value so I stayed here twice. Amazing views especially at night time from the upper floors. Sadly a pretty average brekky spread with cheap ingredients. Keeping the hot food hot would be a great start before they work on improving the dishes.

Check-in was a breeze, and the decor was adorable. The breakfast offered great value for money. As a family-friendly hotel, it was generally clean, although there was a slight sewer smell in the bathroom. However, this didn't significantly affect our overall stay. The location was indeed very convenient.

For this trip to Taiwan, I stayed at the Grand Hotel Taipei for three nights. After a comprehensive renovation in recent years, it's completely transformed. The bathrooms now feature a bathtub and a separate shower, and the toilets have automatic bidet functions. The bedding is also brand new. The only minor change is that the renovation materials used are a bit darker in color. At night, the entire hotel is brilliantly illuminated and very eye-catching. I want to highlight that the hotel offers a shuttle bus every ten minutes to Yuanshan MRT Station – definitely don't miss out on this perk for guests! Taipei's MRT system is very extensive, making it super convenient to get around.

I had a great stay. The hotel is very clean, with housekeeping provided daily. As a light sleeper, I appreciated that the room felt private and quiet. Bottled water need to request from front desk. While there was a slight odor at the elevator, the room itself was perfectly fine. The location is excellent—a 5-minute walk to the MRT (1 stop from Formosa Boulevard) and a 30-minute Uber to Zuoying HSR and the Dragon and Tiger Pagoda. A small Family Mart is right next door, and Hwada Milk Tea is just 200m away. McDonald's is nearby. I didn’t opt for hotel breakfast, and there aren't many breakfast varieties within walking distance. My only real complaint was that the pillows were too soft.

The cleanliness was acceptable, but the carpet looked a bit old and seemed to only get basic cleaning without proper maintenance. I checked in after 10 PM, so there was only one staff member at the front desk. There was a difficult guest in front of me, who also booked through ***********, complaining that the hotel didn't clearly state that her room had no windows and was trying to demand a room change. However, the hotel was fully booked, so her request couldn't be met. I booked through Trip.com and clearly saw the 'no window' disclaimer, so I found her complaints a bit unreasonable and felt impatient while waiting, as she was holding up the line for everyone else. Although they did prioritize us afterward, I still feel like they could use one more staff member during that time. Overall, at least the cleanliness was decent, providing a comfortable environment to rest. It's just the carpet that could use some maintenance – it's a bit... old, and I don't think it's been professionally cleaned. That's something that needs improvement.

Very good location. Very convenient. 1min walk to Ximenting Mrt exit 6. Hotel room very spacious, no problem opening up large luggage and packing. Breakfast is good enough. Daily some dishes is change as well for variety. Only feel if hotel can be more flexible to allow 1hr late check out will be good! Overall will stay again if the price is good!

We had a great stay at the Grand Banyan Hotel. The location was convenient, close to the train station and bus stops. Our room was extremely spacious and clean. Our only complaint is the facilities. The pool did not open until 1:30pm which was inconvenient as we wanted to use the pool in the morning before we headed out for the day. The gym treadmills all needed maintenance as the belt would not move smoothly and cause you to feel a slight **** when trying to run on them.
