The environment is great, the rooms are spacious, the views are beautiful, and the breakfast spread is very rich. The staff are also very polite and friendly to guests. However:
1) There were children continuously screaming loudly in the gym, and no staff came to manage them.
2) The breakfast restaurant was very crowded on the weekend. The hosts should have been prepared earlier to control the flow of people. Today, after being let in, there were no empty tables, and guests were still being let in continuously afterward. It was chaotic, and everyone stood around, unsure of what to do.
3) A child kept dragging their chair while eating, making a lot of noise, and no staff member came to inquire about what was happening.

Facilities: This hotel was renovated just 2.5 years ago, so all the facilities are brand new. It's the closest hotel to the Yunggu Cable Car. However, the room was very small and cramped. While I understand that's common for hotels on the mountain, the renovation smell was incredibly strong. It was everywhere – in the hallways and in the room. Closing the window was a real struggle due to the smell. On the plus side, the underfloor heating was wonderfully warm, not cold at all, which was a huge bonus.
Cleanliness: Generally very good.
Environment: It's just 50 meters from 'Dreamland Brush' and 'Pen Holder Mountain', and 400 meters from 'Monkeys Watching the Sea'. The hotel provides a guide to take guests to see the sunrise and sunset in the morning and evening, and they take you to excellent viewing spots.
Service: The service was fantastic. The concierge constantly updated us with various information, was always responsive to requests, and provided timely reminders. They also helped with activity bookings. During peak dining hours, you get a number, and they call you when your table is ready. The room even had down jackets, which were essential for watching the sunset in the evening.
Complimentary activities:
Dual tickets to Huashan Grottoes (excluding the puzzle-solving part): This is in Tunxi, an hour's bus ride after descending the mountain, so we didn't go.
Cultural experience activities (Song-style tea ceremony/traditional incense making/Hanfu experience): Some require reservations, which the concierge will help with.
Two cups of Qimen Black Tea or Huangshan Maofeng Tea: Available for experience at the tea bar.

This is my second stay at Xihai Hotel. The last time was five years ago with friends; this time I'm solo. After the snow, Huangshan offered rime ice and a sea of clouds. Last time it was clear skies + rime, this time it was clear skies + sea of clouds – Huangshan has been good to me!
I personally think Xihai Hotel's location is superb. In the morning, you can start from the Welcoming Guest Pine (front mountain), head towards Bright Summit, and see many sights along the way. Staying at Xihai Hotel for the night, then going to Shixin Peak for sunrise the next day, and leisurely exploring the sights of the back mountain after breakfast before heading down – it's an absolutely brilliant travel plan!

The customer service of this hotel is superb!. Everyone is kind, helpful, and respectful. The room is huge, light, and bright. I am speechless. Will definitely come back again. Shout out to the check-in guy. Too bad, I was not able to get his name. To Lily, thank you so much for all your help.

We booked a suite with a 270-degree view, with a river on one side and a city view on the other, which was great. Sunny in the lobby was very friendly when we checked in. She took the initiative to introduce us to the surrounding delicacies, wrote them down in detail on a small piece of paper, and sent us some fruit. The breakfast on the second day was also very rich. I especially want to say that because my second sister Hongdou had red bean paste in Wuhu the day before, I saw it in the hotel this morning, so I was very excited. However, I felt that there were not enough red beans, so I asked the waiter Mavis if I could add some red beans. I thought it was impossible, but the enthusiastic Mavis immediately went to the kitchen to look for it, and found that there were only cold red beans, so she immediately helped us steam them, so that we could enjoy a very satisfying breakfast. Thanks again to the two above.

From the moment I arrived, the customer service at the Shangri-La Hotel in Hefei was impeccable, with staff anticipating every need. My room was a sanctuary of cleanliness, where every surface gleamed and the linens were freshly pressed. The attention to detail extended to the immaculate pool and wellness area, which provided a truly luxurious escape. This hotel masterfully combines warm hospitality, an unbeatable setting, and flawless upkeep for an unforgettable stay. Western breakfast buffet and their buffet dinner was dangerously delicious 🤗. Once again, excellent customer service... Thank you 🌹

This stay was beyond my expectations! From the warm and professional reception at the front desk to the clean and cozy layout of the guest rooms, every detail makes people feel comfortable. The room is spacious and bright, the bedding is soft and skin-friendly, the bathroom equipment is brand new and fully functional, and even the corners are spotless. The breakfast is rich in variety, with a reasonable combination of Chinese and Western styles, and the hot food tastes fresh, which can fully meet the needs of different tastes. I especially want to praise the staff, whether it is helping to carry luggage or patiently answering surrounding travel guides, the service is considerate and efficient. The location is also great, with convenient transportation, and the surrounding business districts and attractions are close at hand. The price-performance ratio is super high, I will choose here next time I come, highly recommended! The front desk Tingting is very good👍

The view from the room was fantastic, being right by the river and offering a great panorama of the Yangtze River. The staff were extremely attentive; we received complimentary cookies upon check-in, and in the evening, a large platter of welcome fruit was delivered to our room, which was so generous we couldn't finish it all. The hotel breakfast was of excellent quality, with a wide variety of options, and the coffee was delicious. I would definitely consider staying here again. My only minor complaint was that the air conditioning couldn't be adjusted below 26 degrees Celsius, which was a bit uncomfortable for someone sensitive to heat.

Every step is a scene, and every place is full of love. Good location, beautiful scenery, complete facilities, and good service! The scenery is five-star, the service is super five-star, and the stay experience is beyond expectations! The front desk check-in is efficient and professional, the room service responds quickly and accurately, the restaurant has a rich variety of dishes, which are not only nutritious and delicious, but also have local characteristics, and the attitude of the service staff is warm and friendly. Weather forecast, chargers and medicated oil, as well as the sunscreen in front of the windshield in the parking lot... The hotel has grasped the details of the service quite well. Thumbs up for the staff and the managers👍

11352012****Shuisongshi is a perfect place to unwind and recharge, offering a low-key, unassuming atmosphere with thoughtful and attentive service. The hotel is located below the Yuping Cable Car station, about a 10-minute walk away. From the window, you can see the Renzi Waterfall, with a remarkably clear lake nestled beneath it. They provide shuttle service to and from both the Yuping and Yungugu Cable Car stations, as well as the parking lot. Free raincoats and hiking poles are also provided. A complimentary breakfast and dinner are offered daily, along with tea tasting sessions, making for a truly pleasant and comfortable stay.
JJamesThe hotel is in the style of an old state-owned enterprise. The facilities are too old and seem to have not been renovated. The rooms are small and damaged everywhere. Its location is the best, just within 100 meters after entering the toll gate.
The service in the front desk lobby is relatively good, and they are caring.
The mix of guests is also a problem. You can hear loud noises at four o'clock in the morning, and at six o'clock in the morning, the old men and women ”wake up” everyone like the crowing of the 🐓 in the morning. The breakfast is average.
By the way, I have to remind you that starting this year, Jiuhua Mountain does not allow self-driving to the mountain during the day (it is allowed after 5 pm, but it is also subject to the daily control notice). Guests need to pick up their own luggage and take the shuttle bus at 50 yuan per person to check in after going up the mountain, which is not very convenient.
YYiyaoMy visit to Hefei was exclusively to catch the special exhibition at the Anhui Museum on its final day. Therefore, staying at the Hefei Parkview Hotel, situated just a street away from the museum, was the ideal choice. Prior to my arrival, the hotel proactively called to inquire about my specific needs. Upon check-in, my 38th-floor room offered stunning sunset views – a fantastic bonus! The hotel boasts elegant design and a rich artistic ambiance, with the classical music playing throughout being perfectly to my taste. As one of Hefei's highly-rated hotels, its facilities, cleanliness, overall environment, and service all genuinely lived up to its reputation, and it offered excellent value for money. All in all, I'll definitely be back.
11502682****I visited Huangshan with my second-grader, and after looking at a few hotels, I was completely drawn in by the stunning looks of this guesthouse. The service was exceptional. On Friday evening, as soon as we got off the car, two lovely ladies came to greet us. I had pre-ordered dinner on the way, so we could enjoy fresh, hot food right after settling in. The dishes were made with natural ingredients, and their homemade rice wine was incredibly delicious. We stayed for two nights and had all our breakfasts and dinners at the guesthouse – so yummy! Due to a small mishap, the owner even upgraded our room to a loft, which made my child excitedly exclaim it was a 'princess room'! Overall, the experience was fantastic. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit.

MM221935****Five stars, highly recommended! The Banyan Tree Huangshan Townhouse was an amazing surprise.
The Anhui-style white walls and dark tiles are nestled among the green mountains, and opening the window reveals a picturesque ink wash painting. The environment is serene and healing. The one-on-one butler service was incredibly attentive, quick to respond, and had a great attitude, making the entire stay effortless. The room facilities were astonishingly complete: tableware, washing machine, oven, induction cooker – everything you could need. The capsule coffee machine and complimentary tea were an excellent bonus. The fresh, plump welcome fruit paired with a handwritten welcome letter added a wonderful touch of ceremony. The holiday experience was perfect, and I'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserPros:
1. Excellent location, just a five-minute walk from the Yungu Cable Car station, making it very convenient.
2. Although the amenities are more akin to a guesthouse, most of the staff were enthusiastic and receptive to feedback (though it's uncertain if changes will be implemented).
3. The driver helped us arrange a reasonably priced and convenient chartered car (much appreciated).
4. The restaurant food was decent.
Cons:
Due to the high humidity in the mountains, there was a noticeable musty smell upon entering the hotel. Frankly, it doesn't live up to its claimed five-star status; both management and facilities are more on par with a guesthouse. We kept the dehumidifier and air conditioning running constantly, and the musty smell significantly improved by the next day. We suggested to the hotel that for future guests, they turn on the dehumidifiers in rooms a day in advance to create a better first impression.
Regarding the hotel restaurant:
1. A sign in the elevator lobby stated it opened at 5:00 PM. After a tiring day hiking Huangshan, we returned to the hotel starving and looking forward to dinner, only to be told by a server that it wouldn't open until 5:30 PM.
2. On our first day, we were informed that breakfast was a buffet starting at 7:00 AM. Our family of five arrived at 7:04 AM to find the restaurant completely dark. We had to go to the kitchen entrance to find someone. We were then informed there would be no buffet today due to too few guests, and were given a menu to order à la carte. What we expected to be a quick ten-minute breakfast turned into a 40-minute wait with dishes still not served. We eventually left in exasperation, eager to start our Huangshan hike. The management felt very disorganized.
The hotel claims to be five-star, but its overall presentation, including signage, feels quite underwhelming. While it's better to state expectations upfront than to argue later, considering its mountain location (which isn't so remote as to require porters), I suggest the hotel be less 'stingy' – perhaps by offering more reasonable restaurant prices and a wider selection of choices, which would significantly enhance the guest experience. I've always been wary of guesthouses precisely because their standards are so inconsistent and often depend entirely on the owner's whims.
Overall, I was still satisfied with our stay. Some inconveniences are understandable given the mountain setting, and I hope the hotel continues to improve. The hot springs were pleasant and quiet, likely due to it being the off-season.
GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our trip to Huangshan and especially our stay at this hotel. We stayed in a two-bedroom hotel with its own hot spring. The children were absolutely delighted with the hot spring. In the morning, traditional Chinese noodles were served for breakfast. The hotel has very attentive and polite staff, and the hotel also provides a car and driver who can pick you up from anywhere in the city and bring you to the hotel, and also take you to the foot of the mountains.
GGuest UserThis is an amazing place to unwind and relax on the mountain. Surrounded by pine trees and giant boulders, this hotel is transformed from a 400 year temple. So 2 of the pine trees are over 200 years old. The hotel is constructed along a slope and so there are terraces of rooms looking into the valley.
The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. We were contacted before check-in so they could arrange complimentary tickets for the national park, cable cars and bus rides. They offered to carry our bags but we were hiking and backpacking. We felt very welcomed once we stepped into the compound, it felt like stepping into paradise above the clouds. We were treated to afternoon tea out on the terrace under the canopy of pine trees while one of the staff elaborated on the background of the hotel.
The modern classy design retained several of the historical elements and there were several modern flower arrangements. The entire place was tidy and immaculate, serene and relaxing. Perfect for a retreat from the city.
There’s a roof terrace for amazing views and photo opportunities. And the staff took amazing photos with her DSLR and sent to us via WeChat. At night, the Milky Way stars are clearly visible. We attended a tea ceremony session in the evening too, a Song dynasty tea ceremony which was the origin of Japanese matcha ceremony but using 白茶.
Our room has a large bay window with pine trees outside, beautiful view of the valley. Very comfortable bed and very clean bathroom. There’s a feet massager too for those who have hiked the entire day.
