This is the first time I've specifically waited to review a hotel:
1. Location: Less than 10 minutes from the high-speed train station, very convenient.
2. Service: Beyond five-star service! They added me on WeChat in advance, and all the hotel staff were incredibly enthusiastic. Every detail was meticulously taken care of, from bottled water available everywhere to free laundry and drying facilities, complete with laundry detergent. In the evenings, there were complimentary sweet soups, milk, and pastries. It was so convenient when traveling with a child and ordering extra food. There were welcome gifts upon check-in and also gifts upon check-out, plus a play area for kids.
An excellent hotel! 👍👍👍

XiaomaozhijiaThe hotel's hardware is decent, but the service is absolutely terrible. First, I was told my luggage would be sent to my room after check-in, but the front desk staff forgot, and it was left sitting alone in the lobby. I even came back down, and it was still unclaimed. What made me angriest was that there were two adults and one child in our party. At check-in, they said I needed to pay for the child's breakfast, which I agreed to. The next day, I wanted to try some local Lanzhou cuisine, so I went out for beef noodles. In the end, only two of us ate breakfast at the hotel. My deposit was 500 yuan, but they only refunded a little over 400 yuan at checkout. I called twice, and they promised to follow up with the restaurant and call me back the same day. Two days passed, and I heard nothing. It's not about the 78 yuan breakfast fee – I can afford a 1588 yuan stay, so I'm not short on that money. But their attitude is just outrageous! This hotel has the facilities but absolutely no service awareness or commitment to their word. On a positive note, I'd like to commend the doorman at the entrance who proactively asked if I needed help with my luggage. That was good, but unfortunately, it was the only glimpse of service awareness I experienced.

Anonymous User1. The hotel offers a complimentary airport pick-up service, and from the moment I was greeted, I could feel the staff's warm hospitality.
2. I absolutely loved the hotel's 'wild luxury' aesthetic – it's simple yet grand, with a unique and pleasant aroma.
3. The hotel's travel photography service is outstanding! I got the best set of photos I've ever had. Both the makeup artist and photographer were incredibly professional. I was instantly thrilled with the retouched photos just 5 minutes after the shoot, and even more delighted to learn they'd spend another three days on meticulous post-processing. The terrace above the lobby offers a fantastic photo op, especially with the red canopy against the desert backdrop – it's truly magnificent and a unique scene.
4. Given how dry Dunhuang is, the hotel thoughtfully provided complimentary face masks and lotion.
5. They also offered a free transfer to my next hotel.

Guest UserI wholeheartedly recommend the Hilton Lanzhou Chengdashangwu! My stay here far exceeded my expectations, and I have to give a special shout-out to Kelly at the front desk!
I was in Lanzhou for business and after comparing several five-star hotels, I chose this one. The location is excellent, close to Lanzhou University Metro Station, making it convenient to get to Oriental Red Square and the provincial government area. If you're driving, there's free underground parking, so no worries about transportation. The hotel's decor blends the aesthetics of Dunhuang, and the lobby on the 51st floor offers expansive views. The giant starry sky chandelier is grand and elegant, perfect for photos. Overall, it's luxurious without being ostentatious.
What made the check-in process most heartwarming was Kelly at the front desk. I arrived with a lot of luggage and was quite tired from traveling, but Kelly had a warm smile throughout. She was efficient and professional, quickly completing the check-in procedures and proactively introducing all the hotel's amenities: the 11th-floor heated infinity pool, the panoramic window gym, the breakfast at the Yun All-Day Dining restaurant, and the operating hours of the high-floor executive lounge. When she learned I wanted to watch the sunset in Lanzhou, she specifically recommended a high-floor room with a view. She even hand-wrote recommendations for authentic local beef noodles and scenic spots along the Yellow River. She patiently answered all my questions about breakfast, pool usage, and late check-out. Her service was meticulous, thoughtful, gentle, and perfectly measured, embodying Hilton's service standards.
The room experience was equally impeccable. Being on a high floor, the panoramic windows offered direct views of the city skyline, allowing me to overlook the entire Chengguan district and the outline of the Yellow River at dusk. The Serta mattress was soft yet supportive, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the toiletries were high-quality. The soundproofing throughout the room was excellent, ensuring an undisturbed rest. The breakfast selection was rich and comprehensive, featuring both local northwestern specialties and Western dishes, all authentic in flavor. The heated pool had crystal-clear water, and the high-altitude gym was well-equipped. It was truly therapeutic to swim and relax after a busy day.
The housekeeping and concierge staff were all enthusiastic and polite. The entire hotel's hardware is new, and the facilities are well-maintained, with attention to every service detail. It's perfectly suited for both business trips and leisure vacations. The next time I visit Lanzhou, I will definitely choose the Hilton Lanzhou Chengdashangwu again, and I hope the hotel will highly commend the thoughtful and professional Kelly at the front desk!

The hotel is located very close to the Lanzhouxi railway station , it serves the purpose of coming and leaving from Lanzhouxi. The hotel was kind to provide shuttle service to and from the railway station. It's close to the Gansu museum. We had a short visit to Lanzhou and this hotel suits me. Hotel staff were kind to assist you. The hotel is clean. A new fresh up renovation will be an asset. I needed extra water, someone delivered it personally, greatly appreciated.

Christi5731This hotel is located near Terminal 3 of Nakagawa Airport. The facilities are brand new, and the room layout is similar to that of an Indigo hotel. If this hotel were in the city center, the price would definitely be double.
We arrived in the evening and booked a private room at their Chinese restaurant. The dishes and service were comparable to a five-star hotel. It's a shame we missed breakfast because of an early morning flight.
They offer a shuttle bus to the airport every half hour, making it the best choice for an overnight stay at Nakagawa Airport.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel boasts an excellent location right next to Marathon Park. Not only can you enjoy views of the Yellow River, but you can also take leisurely strolls, exercise, or simply relax amidst the lush greenery. The street corner is lined with numerous restaurants, making it incredibly comfortable and convenient whether you're living, vacationing, or on a business trip. I'll definitely be staying here again in the future.
Furthermore, both the front desk staff and the housekeeping team were exceptionally polite and friendly. My only suggestion, if there's an opportunity in the future, would be to upgrade the elevator access system. It's a bit inconvenient for taller guests to have to bend down every time to swipe their cards. Wishing the Crowne Plaza Lanzhou continued success! Thumbs up 👍

wang frankThis time, on my trip along the Northwest Grand Loop, I stayed at the newly opened Four Points by Sheraton Dunhuang, and the experience was absolutely perfect! Five-star recommendation!
Location and Transportation: The hotel is located in the core area of Dunhuang city, only 6 km from Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Spring, and about 23 km from the Mogao Grottoes. It's a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport and 10 minutes from the train station. You can also walk to Shazhou Night Market in just 1.9 km for some local food and shopping.
Ambiance and Design: The building's exterior blends Han-Tang elements with desert-yellow tones. As soon as you enter the lobby, you're greeted by stunning Apsara decorations and a carved wooden backdrop, making it feel like a miniature Dunhuang art museum. Every corner is infused with the atmosphere of Silk Road culture.
Rooms and Facilities: The guest rooms are spacious, and the bedding is soft and comfortable – I slept soundly all night. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation and is equipped with a smart toilet. The most thoughtful touch is that each room has a humidifier and 8 complimentary bottles of mineral water – a true lifesaver in the dry northwest climate! The soundproofing is excellent, making for a very quiet stay.
Service and Experience: The staff are professional and enthusiastic. Special thanks to JETT at the front desk, who not only processed my check-in efficiently but also proactively recommended local delicacies and provided travel tips for attractions. The 24-hour self-service laundry room and gym on the second floor are fully equipped, which is incredibly convenient for long-distance travelers.
Dining and Breakfast: The breakfast selection is extensive. The freshly made beef ramen is warm and comforting, and you can also try local Dunhuang specialties like 'sweet peizi' and 'grey beans'. The lobby bar also offers a Dunhuang-themed afternoon tea with Apsara motifs, which is perfect for photos!
Summary: As Dunhuang's first international brand hotel, it perfectly combines international chain standards with unique Silk Road culture. It's truly comforting to have such a high-quality place to stay on a desert journey. Next time I visit Dunhuang, I won't hesitate to choose it again.
