We had a nice stay there. Hotel is located near drum tower. Convenient to walk around to the food area. The receptionists are helpful and courteous. Breakfast is quite good and healthy for people who don’t like local spicy food. Room is clean.

The room was clean and well-equipped. However, the front desk service was just average. When I booked through Trip.com, there was supposed to be an upgrade, but the staff member seemed to have overlooked it. After I pointed out the issue, they paused for a moment, then spent a long time looking for the order, only to say that all rooms were full. Yet, Trip.com clearly showed available rooms. It was only after I threatened to contact Trip.com that they reluctantly said they'd make a room available for me, without a hint of apology, just annoyance at having to make the change. This incident left a really bad taste; it was clearly their mistake, but they made it seem like I was trying to get something for free.

The Ink & Smoke room was quite spacious, and the small table was a nice touch that my child enjoyed. However, the room was a bit dusty; I had to wipe down the table, sofa, and tatami mat with a towel, which suggests it might not have been occupied recently. The breakfast selection was standard, but it felt insufficient when there were a lot of guests, and refills were scarce. There's an EV charging station conveniently located right across from the hotel. The underground parking deserves a special mention – it's never crowded, and the epoxy flooring keeps it very clean.

During my New Year's Day trip to Zhangye, I chose to stay at the Zhangye Puyue Hotel for two nights, and overall, the experience was great. Here are a few points I can share for future travelers: 1. The hotel is very close to Zhangye West Station, just about a 5-minute walk after exiting the station, which is very convenient. They also offer late check-out, allowing you to return to the hotel to pack your luggage after morning sightseeing, so you don't have to carry everything with you. 2. The hotel's living environment is good, with clean and tidy rooms. Despite the low outdoor temperatures in winter, the hotel's interior was warm and comfortable. 3. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were friendly. Check-in and answering questions were handled promptly and efficiently. They also provided useful information for our stay and exploration. In the mornings, when entering the restaurant, they would greet us warmly. The food selection included some Northwestern specialties, and the beef noodles were particularly delicious. 4. As for the city of Zhangye itself, all the attractions and scenic spots are quite unique. The mountain landscapes, canyons, and temples are distinct from those in the inland plains, and they are especially stunning and magnificent in winter. When I have time off work, I'd love to come back to experience Zhangye in summer or autumn, and I'll definitely stay at the Puyue Hotel again!

The room was newly renovated and looked quite comfortable. For the price, to get accommodation in this location, with rooms of this quality, a rich and delicious breakfast every day, free shuttle service to and from the station, and a complimentary shared tour for the West Line day trip, it's simply an incredible value. However, I was a bit unlucky with my stay this time. In the first room I checked into, the window seemed to lack soundproofing. The weather was cold, and the air conditioning was off, so the room became increasingly stuffy. Also, the ceiling would make a 'thump, thump, bang' sound every now and then. The 'bang' was so loud that even with in-ear headphones on and listening to music while trying to sleep, I'd be startled awake. It's also possible I was too tired and overly sensitive to sounds. I couldn't sleep until early morning. Thankfully, the front desk was willing to move me to another room even at that hour. After switching rooms, it was much better – much quieter and not as stuffy. I had a comfortable stay after that!

The service was excellent, and the room was clean and hygienic. Parking was convenient, and it's very close to Zhongshan Bridge and Zhengning Road Food Street, both within walking distance. The breakfast was rich and very good. I'll definitely stay at Mercure Zhengning Road again next time I visit.

This is the most surprising stay out of all the hotels along China's silk road. AMAZING hotel with excellent staff. They are so so nice and helpful. They helped me to resolve a problem with food delivery. The hotel itself is clean and huge but the price is just unbelievably cheap. The temperature was just right, with a bathtub in even the cheapest types of room.

This is my second stay at this hotel. I came straight here from the train station, and the Mercure's location is excellent. The hotel's facilities and services are superb – I absolutely love it! The rooms are spacious, bright, and spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was also fantastic. I'll definitely choose Mercure again next time. While here, I met guests from Shanghai, Guangdong, Northeast China, and even Japan. As a visitor from Sichuan, it felt like a homecoming, especially since Tianshui was part of the Shu Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms period!

My recent stay at this hotel was truly exceptional! Its location is very easy to find, with navigation leading directly to the hotel entrance, and complimentary parking is a huge plus. The front desk staff were warm, enthusiastic, and patiently answered all our inquiries. Our room was spotlessly clean, and the bathroom had no unpleasant odors. The space was generous, and the layout was practical. Plus, there are numerous fantastic dining options nearby. It's perfectly situated for both business travelers and tourists, being close to major attractions and very convenient for getting around. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and will definitely choose it again next time without a second thought!

I've stayed in many hotels, but the experience at the Dunhuang Jin Yi Bo Rui Hotel was exceptionally warm! A special thank you to Aunt Pan Caixia; her service was incredibly attentive. She greeted us warmly every day, proactively helped us with supplies, kept the room spotless, and even enthusiastically shared local travel tips. The family-like care completely washed away our travel fatigue. The hotel's location is convenient, and the facilities are new. Highly recommended! 👍 I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Dunhuang!

GGuest UserMy stay here was absolutely fantastic, completely exceeding my expectations. The hotel's location is super convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, making getting around a breeze. The room was spotless; no strange odors from the carpet or bedding, and the mattress was just right – not too soft, not too hard. The soundproofing was excellent too, which meant I actually got a truly restful night's sleep, a rarity for me in hotels. What really impressed me were the thoughtful service details. The front desk attendant checked me in quickly and even proactively asked if I'd prefer a higher floor, then upgraded our room! Even the cleaning staff greeted us with a smile. There were complimentary snacks and white fungus soup in the room, and you could ask the front desk for a foot soak tub between 6 PM and 11 PM. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, hot water instantly, and strong water pressure – perfect for washing away the day's fatigue. It's truly rare to find a room of such quality and warmth at this price point. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again next time I'm in the area.

GGuest UserI was very satisfied with this hotel in Dunhuang. The room was spacious, and the service was prompt. It even had a bathtub, which was a nice bonus. My only complaints are that the TV signal was intermittent, and during breakfast, there were no seats available because of tour groups, which was a bit frustrating.

AAnonymous UserThe service here is like Haidilao! We had breakfast before leaving, and the auntie walked us to the elevator, wishing us a safe journey and bowing deeply – it really warmed my heart. They offer a pick-up service, and the Dunhuang-style noodles they gave us were delicious! It's a bit far from Shazhou Night Market, but there's a small supermarket right outside, which is very convenient for buying things. Overall, the hotel price is reasonable, and the service is attentive. I highly recommend staying here. As someone from Gansu, beyond the hometown sentiment and traveling 1300 kilometers to see the Mogao Grottoes and Mingsha Mountain, Dunhuang left a fantastic impression on me. It's not just the clean, wide sidewalks, but also the many thoughtful services. You can feel that both the government and locals are striving to make the tourist experience better.

GGuest UserI chose this hotel for my trip, and the room was thoughtfully furnished. The twin beds were very spacious, and two adults could comfortably stay in one room. The bedding was clean, pure white, soft and gentle on the skin, and provided just the right amount of support. After a long day of business travel, I could fall asleep immediately. The upholstered headboard was a thoughtful touch, preventing discomfort when using my phone at night. The placement of power outlets and switches was also very convenient, making charging and controlling the lights easy. The hotel's attention to detail was evident; the throw pillows and bed runner were stylishly coordinated, not the generic hotel furnishings, but rather a comfortable and inviting touch. There was also a lounge chair by the window, perfect for relaxing in the afternoon sun or enjoying a cup of tea. Cleanliness was impeccable. The sheets and duvet covers were spotless and odorless, the floors and surfaces were impeccably clean, and the bathroom was spotless and tidy, giving me peace of mind. The staff were also very attentive, checking me in quickly and patiently answering any questions. Overall, the service was excellent, making me feel very comfortable. It's very close to the museum and Crescent Lake, making it very convenient to get around and providing a great experience. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, I highly recommend choosing this place!

AAnonymous UserI stayed at this hotel for two nights, so I thought I'd share my review. I had very high expectations before coming, as there were many positive reviews and recommendations online. Perhaps my high expectations led to a big disappointment. First, let me mention the good points: there's a pick-up service, although there was no welcome tea in the car as some mentioned, but that's fine; the room was quite large; there was plenty of water and two drinks in the room; you can order room service without an extra charge; and when I asked about laundry, the staff member said I could do it myself or they could do it for me. They seemed a bit reluctant but did help me in the end, haha. Now for the negatives: first, the room. The first room I was given wasn't warm, noticeably not warm. When I called a staff member, they said it was because I had turned on the air conditioning. I was speechless at that point – I only turned on the A/C because it was cold, and I had it on for less than five minutes. I don't appreciate staff immediately blaming the customer. They then moved me to another room, which was very noisy as it faced the road. Firecrackers were going off from midnight until before 6 AM, which was quite startling. Next, the food. Breakfast can only be described as poor; it barely felt like a buffet, with very few options and not very tasty. If you ordered lunch or dinner, the staff would ignore you if you were alone. I sat there for a long time and had to call a staff member three times before someone finally took my order. The Mala Tang was good, but the hand-grabbed lamb was very *****, and the fried shrimp was sweet, which was a strange combination. Regarding the service: I read online that the service was excellent, but I didn't really experience that. There was a foot bath tub, but the water in the kettle was cold. When I changed rooms, I had to carry my own luggage while the staff member just watched. They mentioned a 'good night milk' service, but I didn't get it on the first night; I had to call for it myself on the second night. When I felt unwell and asked the front desk where a hospital was, feeling very dizzy, the staff member seemed quite indifferent, saying they weren't sure if it was open or not. I didn't experience the warmth and enthusiasm that many reviews mentioned. This hotel was one I had been eyeing for a while. I couldn't book it initially during the Chinese New Year, but then I managed to, which made me quite happy and expectant. Overall, if you treat it like a chain hotel, the service is okay, and they'll wash your clothes. But if you're coming specifically for the service, don't have high expectations – no expectations means less disappointment. The price is still higher than other hotels in Zhangye. Honestly, it's far worse than the one I stayed at in Dunhuang. One more thing I forgot to mention: the toothbrush was terrible, truly terrible, with bristles that poked my mouth.

DDunhuanglvyoutuijianA perfect stay experience beyond expectations! Definitely worth recommending! This trip to Dunhuang chose the Zen Twin Room of Hexi Corridor Hotel, which completely exceeded my expectations! The hotel is equipped with fruits and Dunhuang apricot peel water. From check-in to check-out, every detail makes people feel thoughtful. Environmental facilities: The hotel decoration is very Silk Road style, the lobby is magnificent, the room is spacious and bright, the bedding is comfortable and clean, and the beautiful night view of the Danghe style line can be seen outside the window. It is very beautiful. Overlooking the Dunhuang Mingsha Mountain from a distance, it is simply a resting place tailored for travel! Service attitude: The front desk lady is warm and thoughtful, the room aunt cleans meticulously, and the room is brand new after returning from the scenic spot. Geographical location: It is only a few hundred meters away from Dunhuang Bookstore and more than 5 kilometers away from Mingsha Mountain and other attractions. There is a supermarket downstairs. It is very convenient to take a taxi or drive by car, which saves a lot of time. Special experience: The local specialties for breakfast are super rich, and I also went to see the performance of Ledong Dunhuang in the evening! I will definitely choose here next time I come to Dunhuang!

DDawson LottHonestly the service at this hotel is what made the trip! The brothers that own the place are extremely friendly and helped drive us around to everything from the sights to their food recommendations that were all delicious. Not to mention beer, fruit and other drinks are all included at the hotel free of charge! It’s also walking distance to the oasis. To any foreigner wanting to travel here, these guys make it so easy and stress free, it’s worth it for them, plus there’s a place to swim amongst the heat and great air conditioning. You can see the dunes from the roof of the hotel too, where there’s tables and chairs to relax for a drink. Would come again in a heart beat.

GGuest UserAmazing hotel! Wasn’t sure what to expect, but its location is so close to the national park, and there’s a lot of little shops and restaurants around in the area. It’s better to stay here than in the city of Zhangye. Though the staff and I could not communicate verbally, the translation apps were perfectly fine and everyone at the hotel was very kind. The hotel went above expectation in accommodating us, and the breakfast had a large variety of food as well. Would definitely recommend!

GGuest UserThe hotel was spotless , quiet and provided all the latest amenities. There was great choice for breakfast and the staff were very attentive, even bringing local dishes over to us to try and ensuring we had everything we needed.
